A 360° View Of Dating with Sabrina Alexis Bendory

A 360° View Of Dating with Sabrina Alexis Bendory

Welcome back to the second season of the Sit With Snit podcast. This season is focused explicitly on sitting with singlehood; how to live a meaningful life while still searching for your life partner. We process ideas and topics by engaging in thought-provoking conversations with different speakers.

For our tenth episode, we're sitting with a boss, an incredible woman, and, I hope, a future friend. Sabrina Alexis Bendory. Sabrina's a pioneering blogger entrepreneur, Mom, who keeps filling in all the titles, is globally recognized as a dating expert, Relationship Expert, and an incredibly published author. She co-founded the website new mode, where she wrote relatable and insightful articles about relationship dynamics that have helped millions of women achieve the love they desire. I'm plugging in her books. You've seen it on my social.

Today, Sabrina is one of the most authoritative and popular sources for dating advice on Tiktok and Instagram. She also publishes weekly columns on relationships for Thought Catalog and is very much a sought-after life coach. When we recorded this episode, she told me the lineup for the rest of her day, which was back-to-back. I have her best-selling book, "You're Overthinking It: Find Lifelong Love By Being Your True Self, published this year. And it is fantastic. What drew me to Sabrina was the collaboration she is working on with my dear friend and mentor, Ayelet Polonsky, on manifesting your soulmate. It's a masterclass out now, so you should look into it. But more importantly, I just wanted to have a conversation with Sabrina and open the platform on many different topics, but more importantly, the power of our attitude.

So, what you'll see with this episode is just jumping around, and we go into her archives of knowledge. And we hear a bit about the male perspective of dating, which is what Sabrina initially started exploring relationships with. So are you ready to see a whole 360 of the dating experience? Without further ado, here's the power of owning your dating experience. Feel free to reach out and DM me on Instagram and show your love by liking this episode, sharing it with friends, or even contributing and being a patron. And as always, it's all lessons and blessings.

Your Mental Health Matters with Bari Mitzmann

Your Mental Health Matters with Bari Mitzmann

Welcome back to the second season of the Sit With Snit podcast. This season is focused explicitly on sitting with singlehood; how to live a meaningful life while still searching for your life partner. We process ideas and topics by engaging in thought-provoking conversations with different speakers.

For our ninth episode, we're sitting with one of my favorite Jewish content creators and longtime girl crushes, Bari Mitzmann. Bari is a wife, mother, and founder of Hakol B'Seder, the nonprofit where she aims to create content that inspires while meeting people where they are at. In her spare time, she is also a content creator, social media marketing consultant, and host of the Woman of Valor podcast. Bari also writes a weekly email sharing some of her thoughts that remain off of her social media. To subscribe, click here!

This episode with Bari made me realize how much in common we share; we both started our debuts on Instagram aspiring to be modest fashion bloggers and, while still channeling our inner fashionistas, have pivoted over the years and found our voices. Bari uses her platform to be a tremendous advocate for both mental health and chronic illness and continues to amaze us all with her vulnerability, accountability, and fresh personality. Our conversation walks us through Bari's own journey with dating and her experiences with her own mental distress while also addressing the prominent community issues and stigmas regarding mental health in dating as a whole.

So, are you ready to see mental health as everything other than a red flag? Without further ado, here's to acknowledging that your mental health matters! Feel free to reach out and DM me on Instagram and show your love by liking this episode and sharing it with friends. And as always, it's all lessons and blessings.

Welcome back to the second season of the Sit With Snit podcast. This season is focussed explicitly on sitting with singlehood; how to live a meaningful life while still searching for your life partner. We process ideas and topics by engaging in thought-provoking conversations with different speakers. For our eighth episode, we're bringing back my dear friend and incredible human, Ariella Azaraf

You may remember Ariella from her episode on Sit With Snit's first season, Sitting WIth Freedom and we are lucky enough to have her back this season to share more of her wisdom on cultivating a healthy relationship with yourself. Ariella is a psychotherapist in private practice and speaker in NYC. She enjoys working with adolescents, young professionals/emerging adults struggling with anxiety and depression, navigating relationships and boundaries, and learning to cultivate a sense of self.

With a unique lens of self-compassion and self-acceptance, Ariella feels passionate about helping and empowering individuals to work through their struggles while also holding space for self-compassion. On this episode, you will hear us both discuss the steps needed to cultivate and sustain a healthy relationship with yourself and how the experience of getting to know yourself can help you connect with people and the world around you on a deeper level.

Before Manifesting with Ayelet Polonsky

Before Manifesting with Ayelet Polonsky

Welcome back to the second season of the Sit WIth Snit podcast. This season is focussed explicitly on sitting with singlehood; how to live a meaningful life while still searching for your life partner. We process ideas and topics by engaging in thought-provoking conversations with different speakers.  For our seventh episode, a dear mentor/soul sister/friend of mine, a woman who I wouldn't be sitting here right now on this platform if I hadn't met year six years ago in Israel. I have so much love and gratitude for this episode's guest, Ayelet Polonsky.

Ironically, when I met Ayelet, I could not sit still through meditation if my life depended on it. Now, here I am, hosting a podcast called Sit With Snit. If only I had known what I was always truly capable of back then, I cannot imagine the lengths I would be climbing today. But need I digress; Ayelet's been on my journey alongside me, coaching me and helping me through the many iterations of myself.

Ayelet is an adventure-loving, green-living, yoga-obsessed Life Coach and Therapist trained in Cognitive Behavioral and Narrative Therapy. Ayelet has learned from her many life experiences both in India and Israel and now provides individuals with resources and tools to make manifestation simple, sourced in both Kabbalah and Psychology. Initially, we wanted to discuss manifesting one's husband for this episode, but what this episode turned into is more of a pre-requisite, discussing the work you have to do before you are ready to manifest.

So, do you want to break free from the blockages preventing you from manifesting your desired life? So, without further ado, here's the first of future conversations on manifesting your soulmate. Feel free to reach out and DM me on Instagram and show your love by liking this episode and sharing it with friends. And always, it's all lessons and blessings.

Marrying Your Soulmate Is A Miracle with Rabbi Jack Cohen

Marrying Your Soulmate Is A Miracle with Rabbi Jack Cohen

Welcome back to the second season of the Sit With Snit podcast. This season is focussed explicitly on sitting with singlehood; how to live a meaningful life while still searching for your life partner. We process ideas and topics by engaging in thought-provoking conversations with different speakers.
For our sixth episode, I am so excited to officially introduce the first male to make it on the Sit With Snit podcast. He is a legend and doesn't need an introduction. I think that if you know him, and you know him, well, then that's all there is to it. And for those of you who do not have the honor of knowing Rabbi Jack Cohen yet, I will tell you a little thing or two about him. You might know him from his days working at Meor Manhattan, now known as Olami, Manhattan, or even before that on UPenn's campus with MEOR, or maybe you happen to be one of the millions of Venezuelans who are related to him here in Miami. Rabbi Jack is currently the Director of Jewish Education and Community Engagement at Hebrew Academy (RASG) in Miami. He is passionate about being involved as an educator and mentor in people's lives directly, together with community building, but is also interested in exploring technological or otherwise avenues for making Jewish wisdom accessible to many more people.
Either way, our guest is near and dear to my heart; I am very blessed to call him a Rabbi, mentor, spiritual practitioner, and step-cousin. We're still working on all the many labels, and you'll hear me allude to them on the podcast, and I milk it, I milk it. I knew I wanted Rabbi Jack on this podcast from day one because he was one of the people who pushed me to launch this season. He kept saying, "Hannita, you have to do it! Like give me a time and day, and let's make it happen." And sometimes we need that, you know, push to get things going. And I wouldn't be here right now speaking to all of you without him. So first and foremost, Chodesh Tov! Welcome to the month of Shevat, and I hope the energy of Shevat gives you the biggest hug, and so does this podcast. . Without further ado, are you ready to sit with us? Feel free to reach out and DM me on Instagram and show your love by liking this episode and sharing it with friends. And as always, it's all lessons and blessings. ✨💗🧿

To Settle Or Not To Settle with Jackie Glaser

To Settle Or Not To Settle with Jackie Glaser

Welcome back to the second season of the Sit With Snit podcast. This season is focussed explicitly on sitting with singlehood; how to live a meaningful life while still searching for your life partner. We process ideas and topics by engaging in thought-provoking conversations with different speakers.
For our fifth episode, we're sitting with a legendary human and Jewish dating coach for women, Jackie Glaser. Jackie is Australian-born, New York transplant, now in Los Angeles. Jackie had a private practice in Sydney, Australia, and worked as the resident “Psychologist” on the national “Today Show”. Jackie worked in outreach with Olami for 12 years in various roles as program director, educator, and director of leadership development as well as now currently a coach to their Rebtzn’s. After being single for many years, Jackie got married to her soulmate and decided to give back by helping other single women be truly open to receiving an amazing spouse. She is a full-time dating coach.
I knew I wanted to speak with Jackie because of her tremendous success as a coach and her own experience with singlehood. We discuss at great length what it means never to settle in dating and how to achieve personal breakthroughs that translate into our dating life. Without further ado, are you ready to sit with the concept of never settling? Feel free to reach out and DM me on Instagram and show your love by liking this episode and sharing it with friends. Sitting WIth Your Mindset

Sitting WIth Your Mindset

Welcome back to the second season of the Sit With Snit podcast. This season is focussed explicitly on sitting with singlehood; how to live a meaningful life while still searching for your life partner. We process ideas and topics by engaging in thought-provoking conversations with different speakers.
For our fourth episode, we're sitting with a gem of a human, a soul-sister, and an extraordinary neshama Ariella Immerman. Ariella is the Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer of The Reflective, a marketplace providing modest women who are tired of scrolling for clothes with access to one website with quality modest finds they will feel confident in. She is also the host of The Reflective's podcast, More Than A Hemline, creating raw, honest conversations on the depth behind modesty, what it looks like in the context of a modern world and how it looks different on everyone.
A few months back, Ariella and I recorded a prequel to this episode where we hoped, as single women, to speak into the hardships and struggles of this phase of life with the optimism we all need to keep going. But in all honesty, we were not in the best headspaces to do so. Tune in as Ariella and I get real about the importance of one's mindset and taking on the juxtaposition of maintaining a growth-oriented mindset while also humbly enjoying where you are in life.
Without further ado, are you ready to join us in sitting with your mindset? Feel free to reach out and DM me on Instagram and show your love by liking this episode and sharing it with friends. And don't forget, it's all lessons and blessings. ✨💗🧿

Sitting With Your Purpose

Sitting With Your Purpose

Welcome back to the second season of the Sit With Snit podcast. This season is focused explicitly on sitting with singlehood; how to live a meaningful life while still searching for your life partner. We process ideas and topics by engaging in thought-provoking conversations with different speakers.

For our third episode, we're sitting with one of my favorite people, Kelsey Grinstein. I always felt such a kindred connection with Kelsey and knew that I wanted to translate our connection in a new way for this podcast. Kelsey is a certified Life Coach. Her passion is partnering with her clients to discover their truest selves to accomplish their unique missions. She believes having purpose driven-goals fused with practical actions is the ultimate recipe for sustainable and meaningful growth.

In this episode, Kelsey and I discuss the importance of cultivating the "self" and revealing your purpose. The person you want to be when you are married shouldn't need to wait until you have a ring on your finger; you can be that woman now. We hope that through this episode, more women can harness the innate strength of becoming their highest selves, and that in that process, and embrace all that makes them unique.

Without further ado, are you ready to join us in sitting with your purpose? Feel free to reach out and DM me on Instagram and show your love by liking this episode and sharing it with friends. And don't forget, it's all lessons and blessings. ✨💗🧿

Sitting With Surrendering

Sitting With Surrendering

Welcome back to the second season of the Sit With Snit podcast. This season is focused explicitly on sitting with singlehood; how to live a meaningful life while still searching for your life partner. We process ideas and topics by engaging in thought-provoking conversations with different speakers. For our second episode, I'm delighted to introduce you to my dear friend, mentor, and powerhouse known as Dassi Zar. Dassi is a former doula, hypnobirthing child educator, and yoga instructor. She reinvented herself and became most known as the director and main Chabad schlucha for the downtown Manhattan community of young professionals. She's recently created a community for Jewish Women called Keter Rising, where Jewish women rise up through connection, education, and inspiration.

I've known Dassi for almost 10 years, having met her as a college roommate of mine's sister-in-law. It's unbelievable to witness her growth as an individual and I have tremendous gratitude for the roles she's played in my journey. I knew I always wanted to foster a conversation with Dassi for this show because she is one of the few women who have taught me to embrace my flavor of Judaism and own all that comes with it. In addition, we just speak the same language and finding someone like that is rare.  In this episode, you'll hear us speak on a myriad of the complexities that come with the single life and how one of the best tools you have at your disposal is to surrender. The sooner you learn it, the better you will feel throughout your life.

Without further ado, are you ready to join us in sitting with surrendering? Feel free to reach out and DM me on Instagram and show your love by liking this episode and sharing it with friends. And don't forget, it's all lessons and blessings. ✨💗🧿

Sitting With Self-Love

Sitting With Self-Love

Welcome back to the second season of the Sit With Snit podcast. This season is focused explicitly on sitting with singlehood; how to live a meaningful life while still searching for your life partner. We process ideas and topics by engaging in thought-provoking conversations with different speakers. I'm still determining what came first; the idea for this season's theme or our first guest speaker, my dear friend, and colleague Remi Stern

Remi and I met while attending undergrad at Boston University. Both experienced a tremendous spiritual awakening in our Judaism that would later help shape the path of our lives. Nearly 6 years later, I knew I wanted to speak with her about the importance of self-love in our journeys. Remi's forte and mission as a certified life and health coach are to help bridge the gap between where we are in life and where we want to be. So without further ado, are you ready to join us in sitting with self-love?

As always, if you enjoyed this episode, let us know! Feel free to reach out and DM me on Instagram and show your love by liking this episode and sharing it with friends. And don't forget, it's all lessons and blessings. ✨💗🧿

Sitting With Reflection

Sitting With Reflection

On the first season finale of the Sit With Snit podcast, I invite you to reflect on what these eleven episodes meant to me and what I hope they have meant for you. I don't particularly see this episode as a finale per se, but rather as an invitation to pause with me. After eleven groundbreaking and intentional conversations with thought leaders, it is time to sit and stop. Over this past year, especially when beginning this podcast journey with you all, I have learned the following: I understand now that no one else in the world knows what I should do. Of course, I have my select inner circle of confidants that I look to for guidance, and their advice better helps me shape my narrative, and still, at the end of the day, I truly know best.

How did I get to this knowledge, you may ask? I've done a lot of inner work that I can now invite myself, my full self, into the silence. I remember reading Glennon Doyle's "Untamed" and deeply resonating when she introduced to readers the concept of "the knowing." After convincing herself that at least ten minutes a day would help her find herself in her closet since, at best, she took eighty minutes finding her lost keys. "This place is underneath; low, deep, quiet, still. There are no voices there, not even my own. All I can hear down there is my breath. It was as though I’d been drowning, and in my panic, I had been gasping for air, calling for rescue, and flailing on the surface. But what I really needed to do to save myself was let myself sink...I can know things down at this level that I can’t on the chaotic surface. Down here, when I pose a question about my life — in words or abstract images — I sense a nudge. The nudge guides me toward the next precise thing, and then, when I silently acknowledge the nudge — it fills me. The Knowing feels like warm liquid gold filling my veins and solidifying just enough to make me feel steady, certain."

What Doyle calls "The Knowing," I call my neshama, my G-dly infinite spark. When I allow myself to get quiet and sit with things without fear or judgment, my soul speaks to me and fills me in on everything I need to know, and now I invite us all to engage in such an experience until the next season of the Sit With Snit podcast. So, are you ready for some reflection with your girl?

Sitting With Freedom

Sitting With Freedom

This week on the Sit With Snit podcast, we will be exploring the channels of freedom with a dear friend, spiritual mentor, and licensed clinical social worker, Ariella Azaraf. Ariella and I met through our time working together at Meor Manhattan and building neighbors on the Upper West Side. In addition to her private practice work, Ariella is also the head of mental health and Manhattan Day School on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. I truly feel there is no better person more equipped to help students navigate their internal worlds than Ariella, and after hearing our conversation, you will feel the same. With specialties ranging from anxiety to self-esteem and more, Ariella's approach to her practice involves a strengh-based perspective where we all can harness our potential and break free from the confines of what is nonessential to our being. Ariella and I are fluent in the language of fusing spirituality with psychology, and we hope that through our dialogue, you can tap into the essential part of who you are and liberate yourself from that which holds you back. Are you ready to sit with freedom?

Sitting With Your Mind & Body

Sitting With Your Mind & Body

This week on the Sit With Snit podcast, we will be hearing from a dear friend and mentor of mine, Rebecca Marcus. As an esteemed Licensed Clinal Social Worker, having received her master's degree from New York University Silver School of Social Work focusing on clinical practice and trauma, Rebecca is an expert in her field and a lifelong learner. I always turn to Rebecca whenever I feel frustrated with my own mindfulness practices; I turn to Rebecca to bring in a voice of acceptance, clarity, and compassion. We conveyed the notion that meditation is a practice that involves no judgment and being present. Dan Harris, the author of 10% Happier, writes that “meditation is not about feeling a certain way. It’s about feeling the way you feel.” Rebecca helps us understand this phenomenon while simultaneously sharing tools to ground ourselves in our minds and body, tuning into the present moment. Sit with us and stay tuned as Rebecca leads us in short and worthwhile mindfulness practice.

Sitting With Joy

Sitting With Joy

This week on the SIt WIth Snit podcast, we will be sitting with my dear friend Izzy Sakhaie as we explore what joy means to us and how it plays its role in the Jewish holiday of Purim. Purim is usually my favorite holiday; the depth of revealing the hidden secrets within ourselves and the world always struck a chord with me. However, Purim last year was the benchmark that began this new phase of life called the "Pandemic" and it was when I closed a chapter of my life. Without knowing it, Purim 2020 would be the last time I would see many of my close friends for the foreseeable future and my former Upper West Side lifestyle for sunny Miami. It brings up a lot for me and Izzy and I are excited to make space for us to discuss the meaning of this holiday, what joy is, and how we can distinguish doubt within ourselves. So, are you ready to sit with joy?

Sitting With Courage

Sitting With Courage

On this week's episode of the Sit With Snit podcast, we will be sitting with Alex Abel Segal, Editor-in-Chief and Founder of Chai On Life magazine, an online publication for the passionate Jewish woman. Alex holds editorial experience in publications such as Seventeen Magazine to StyleWatch & People. For the young professional who aims to live the quintessential Manhattan experience, Alex is your ideal mentor. What made me respect Alex, even more was how she embraced her innate desire to connect to her spiritual identity, which is no easy task. Putting the glamorous and independent city lifestyle on hold, Alex would soon find herself in Israel. There, she met her husband and shortly after moved across the world to Moscow, Russia, where she would later live and start her family. Rather than divorcing herself from her past and her G-d given talents, she elevated them. By creating a means where Jewish women can share their experiences, show up as thought leaders, and ultimately inspire others alike, Chai on Life was born.  So if you've been sitting on an idea for far too long or feel that maybe it's just a passion project, look no further. So, are you ready to sit with courage?

Sitting With Diet Culture

Sitting With Diet Culture

On this week's episode of the Sit With Snit podcast, we will be sitting with Sami Sage, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Betches Media. Host for The Betches Sup, Morning Announcements, and Diet Starts Tomorrow podcasts. We decided to transition our Instagram DM relationship behind the mic for a meaningful discussion, one surrounding a phenomenon in our society that hits home for both of us. Dieting is very common in American culture. Almost half of all Americans have tried to lose weight in the past 12 months (the rate is higher among women), studies show. Diet culture focuses on body image, claiming one will be happier if they are thinner, often setting impossible or unattainable goals. Hardly anyone speaks about the aftermath of serving "perfection" on an unattainable platter (no pun intended.) Sami's bravery in sharing part of her story with us gives me the strength to start sharing mine. I'm ready to open the door from my past with love and acceptance; are you prepared to sit with snit?

Sitting With Transformation

Sitting With Transformation

We, as human beings, are ever-evolving creatures. We also happen to be creatures of habit; we like when things stay the same because, well, they are predictable. But, that sameness is the antithesis of why we are here. We are meant to elevate ourselves, level up always, and take our potential greatness into actuality. With that in mind, I present to you the new and re-branded Sit With Snit Podcast, where we will be elevating the physical, one topic at a time. On this mini-sode, you will hear about the trajectory of my own transformative experiences that have brought me to this exact moment, with you, on the other side of this podcast. So without further a do, are you ready to sit with transformation?

The last few weeks of 2020 are upon us, and many of us may be recounting and reflecting on what we've made of this unprecedented year. Sitting With Your Journey

Sitting With Your Journey

On this episode of the Sit With It podcast, we'll be sitting with LA-based designer and artist Kim Kyne as she reflects upon moments during her spiritual awakening. The importance of authenticity is integral in every type of journey. We both kept echoing as we dug deeper. "I have to constantly re-identify myself to myself, deactivate my own standards, my own convictions about what I'm doing and why." Singer/songwriter Nina Simone eloquently puts the importance of constant self-communication. This is my and Kim's check-in. Are you ready to sit with us?

Founder and CEO of The Reflective, a community for the modern career-driven professionals, dedicated mothers, and fearless female leaders, Liza along with her team of trailblazing fashion reporters, breaks the assumed stereotypes around modesty.

On this episode of the Sit With It podcast, we'll be discussing what it was like for this Manhattan raised, Persian queen to become more spiritually connected to her Judaism while studying at NYU's Stern School of Business, how her continued love for Fashion has transcended what she thought were her limitations and ultimately, the beauty that can be fostered when we let go and trust the process of our lives.
