Gold Box — Christmas Concert for OUR Homeless
A group of local Brantford musicians are organizing a Christmas Concert FOR Our Homeless in December, being held at the Sanderson Centre For The Performing Arts in Brantford Ontario on Friday December 20th at 7pm. We’re looking at doing a type of “USA For Africa/Live Band Aid” type of event, where local performers come on and do a few songs, one after another with the main focus on doing a concert FOR the Homeless and giving THEM a Christmas Concert. Our goal is to unite with them in a show of community good will and love while enjoying Christmas cheer together. We want to give them acceptance to their sometimes nameless faces and make them feel appreciated, thereby paying it forward and bringing awareness within the entire audience.
The Gold Box is the legendary story of the single gold box left under the tree --- the one which is passed down through generations and never opened; as inside lies unconditional love. We definitely need that now more than ever!!!
Our homeless individuals will be invited and encouraged to attend --- obviously for free.
We will open the event up to the public and ask for monetary at-the-door, pay what you can donations from the attending public. Donations will go towards Rosewood House!!!
The musicians who have been invited and have agreed to volunteer and take part are: Trysted Sister, Kristen Bezemer-Innersha, SIVLE and local superstar Sarah Smith. Our homeless will also be serenaded by Maura Edmunds and students from Starr Sensations. Our MC is Ed House. The BRANTFORD Bolts are making an appearance too,
We look forward to hearing from you and hopefully seeing you at the show...EVERYONE Deserves A Christmas Miracle & Good Cheer!!!
Musically Yours,
Joan Minnery
