Hosts Dave Bossert and Aljon Go welcome Muppeteer/Actor, Bruce Lanoil. Master Puppeteer Tony Urbano chose Bruce from hundreds, for Sid and Marty Krofft’s exclusive 1980 workshop. Many Commercials, McNuggets (1980’s), followed, furthering performance skills with Master teachers, Paul Sills, Avery Schreiber, (Spollin Games), Harvey Kalmanson (V.O.). Destiny and Jim Henson came knocking when Brian Henson cast Bruce as “Charlene Sinclair”, in TV’s DINOSAURS for five glorious seasons on ABC/Disney (1990-93). Jerry Rees, Director, Animator, Producer (Back to Neverland, The Brave Little Toaster)
Jerry Rees, Film director, screenwriter, animator, film producer stops by to chat with hosts Dave Bossert and Aljon Go. The team also talks about the latest movie and pop-culture news. Rees is best known for the Emmy-nominated animated film The Brave Little Toaster (1987) and for creating many of the visual effects for Tron (1982). Rees was mentored as an animator from the age of 16 at Disney Studios, by one of Walt Disney's Nine Old Men, and was trained and taught at California Institute of the Arts, along with classmates, Brad Bird, John Musker, Tim Burton, and Doug Lefler. He served as an animation producer on the film Space Jam (1996). He directed the award-winning Back to Neverland documentary starring Robin Williams and Walter Cronkite, shown as part of the animation studio tours at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. He also directed the educational films Tourist from Hell and The Editing Story, which screened as part of the backstage tour at Disney's Hollywood Studios. In addition to his film credits, Rees helped produce and direct a record-setting 13 multimedia features at the various Disney theme parks, including Sounds Dangerous at Disney-MGM Studios, the live-action sequences of Cranium Command at EPCOT, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! at Disney-MGM Studios, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Disney-MGM Studios and Walt Disney Studios Paris, Extra-Terrorestrial Alien Encounter at Magic Kingdom, Michael & Mickey at Disney-MGM Studios, and the new Cinemagique show at Walt Disney Studios Paris. Klubien is also known as the lead singer in the Danish band Danseorkestret since 1984. The band's break-through hit is called "Regndans" (1984). David Pruiksma, Disney Supervising Animator
This week hosts Aljon Go (@aljongo) and Dave Bossert (@dave_bossert) talk former Disney Animator, David Pruiksma.  Pruiksma worked on the films The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver & Company, The Little Mermaid, and The Rescuers Down Under. He rose to supervising animator and created the characters of Mrs. Potts and her son Chip for Beauty and the Beast. Other characters included the Sultan for Aladdin, Pumbaa for The Lion King, Flit for Pocahontas, and the characters Hugo and Victor for The Hunchback of Notre Dame. After completing work on 2001's Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Pruiksma left Disney and worked freelance as an animation director and storyboard artist for the Cartoon Network series Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi. Bob Gurr, Disney Legend and Imagineer
This week hosts Aljon Go (@aljongo) and Dave Bossert (@dave_bossert) talk to Disney Legend, Bob Gurr about his early career, his time at the Walt Disney Company, and working on projects for Steve Wynn's Treasure Island Hotel and Casino. Gurr is an amusement ride designer and Disney Imagineer. His most famous work was for Walt Disney's Disneyland Park, and its subsequent sister parks. Gurr is said to have designed most, if not all, of the ride vehicles of the Disneyland attractions, including Autopia, Haunted Mansion, the Disneyland Monorail, the Submarine Voyage, and the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Kathy Zielinski, Disney Supervising & Character Animator - The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Aladdin, The Simpsons
Dave Bossert and Aljon Go chat with artist and animator, Kathy Zielinski. Zielinski is best known for her work on Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996), Monsters vs. Aliens (2009), and Disney's Aladdin (1992). Her beginnings at Disney started with working on Mickey's Christmas Carol and The Black Cauldron. After working on a series of other projects, including Ursula in The Little Mermaid, she progressed into the role of animation supervisor, working on Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Afterward, she moved to DreamWorks and began working with them on projects in the early 2000s. Zielinski has since moved to work on television series as a Character Animator with Encore on a series of DC Comics/WB shows and, currently, with Fox Television The Simpsons. She won the California Institute of Arts Student Academy Award in Animation in 1982 and was nominated for Best Individual Achievement: Animation at the 1996 Annie Awards. Disney-Pixar animator Bob Scott

Bob Scott is an animator and cartoonist from the Bay Area and a graduate of the California Institute of the Arts film animation program. Scott’s animated short 'Late Night with Myron' was part of the 1988 theatrical compilation film entitled 'Outrageous Animation'. His animation has been seen in numerous animated feature films such as Pixar’s 'Toy Story 3' (2010), 'Ratatouille' (2007), 'WALL-E' (2008), 'The Incredibles' (2004), and Dreamworks Animation's 'The Prince of Egypt' (1998), among others. He led the animation team on the Annie Award-winning Pixar short 'Your Friend the Rat' (2007) and was part of the small animation crew for the Oscar-nominated 'Day and Night' (2010). Bruce Broughton is an American orchestral composer of television, film, and video game scores and concert works. He has composed several highly acclaimed soundtracks over his extensive career, and he has won nine Emmy Awards and has been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Score. Broughton is currently a lecturer in composition at UCLA. For Disney, he composed the scores for two of the three Roger Rabbit shorts, The Rescuers Down Under, Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey, Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco, Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers, Bambi II, Eloise at the Plaza, and Eloise at Christmastime. For Fantasia 2000, he would conduct the music for the Rhapsody in Blue sequence. Emmy Award-winning Disney composer Mark Watters

Mark Watters is a six-time Emmy Award-winning composer and conductor whose diverse career spans 400 television episodes, feature films, DVDs, and video games. Recent projects include serving as music director for the highly acclaimed animated series, “Have A Laugh,” a three-year project to restore and re-record 60 classic Disney shorts from the ‘30s and ‘40s. 2012 marked his debut with Pixar Animation Studios with his original score for "Time Travel Mater" and serving as principal arranger for "Pixar In Concert" which has enjoyed numerous performances around the world. In 2013, he scored the Oscar-nominated short, "Get A Horse," which appeared in theaters with the blockbuster, "Frozen."
