Episode 49 - The Pentaverate Has You, Like The Matrix!
Welcome to the hot-to-trot, ALL VIDEO GAME DEVELOPMENT PODCAjust kidding, we spent bloody ages talking about the new paradigm in Mike Myers-centric comedy television, The Pentaverate! That's right, everybody: it's all Pentaverate talk from this point on, nothing else is gonna be talked about. At all. AT ALL. Like, sure, whatever, we go into the good word about our games like GETAWAY GRAND PRIX and OTHER UNANNOUNCED (!) goodies, we talk KIRBY a little bit, in particular, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the hot new switch game, and the ways it goes about evoking that classic pink puff platforming we all know and love, and hey, SURE, a little Elden Ring talk. Every podcast has to talk about Elden Ring! Elden Ring, Blippi, question-and-answer from fans young and old on the Oddbodz—these are all the targets you have to hit to make a successful podcast. But we duped you. We're sorry. We're truly sorry about this, but everything we do is now about the Pentaverate and how interesting that all is. But hell! No time to stop and think about it now. We're on the road to our 50th anniversary podcast baby! ROLL with the punches! SWING with the changes! Life is what you make of it. Life is SKY PIRATE RADIO!
Episode 48 - Muppets-Centric Social Commerce
Look: here's the deal. I'm sleepy. I was terrorised by a swarm of mosquitos last night that didn't let me sleep. It could have everything or nothing to do with the PS2 Ubisoft game "Rayman M". But none of that matters—not anymore. Not when it's 2022 and your favourite Australian Independent Video Game Development Funny Boys are BACK IN TOWN! We catch pace with our heroes progress, now adding the finer, final-er touches to their HIT AND HIP new game, Getaway Grand Prix, but that doesn't stop Kevyn from prying open his old game-tomb, exploring the hallowed archives of the Kirby series to inspire the design of future projects, and he played Inscryption too but mainly just because it's a bit fun. Jace played a veritable grab-bag of glad-wrapped game goulash of the likes of Breakout Recharged, Knight's Try, Lost in Random and other games the cursory player would look down their noses and hock a loogie at. I guess we talked a lot about the Muppets too (You can see them there, in the thumbnail—those are some of the Muppets, in action!). But don't take MY word for it, no: heed them aurally! HEED SKY PIRATE RADIO: IT MAKES THE MOSQUITOS STOP BITING!
Episode 47 - Toon Town is Empty
Here is what one might expect in the TRIUMPHANT RETURN of our intrepid duo, Jace and Kevyn: the announcement of the Sky Pirate Studios Patreon and all the goodies therein; their efforts to make a Game Boy horror game in ten days; Getaway Grand Prix, Lamplit, and future projects; Kevyn's Game Boy mania and Psychonauts 2 nit-picks are addressed; Jace is just sort of flying around in Immortals: Fenyx "Breath of the Wild" Rising.
Episode 47 of Sky Pirate Radio: PART ONE OF THE GREAT SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY SAGA. Don't miss it, just permit it.
Episode 46 - #YearOfCrazyFrog
I'm not gonna mince words, here-we get into some wild, heady territory in Episode 46 of our video game podcast. Talking about where we're at and the hurdles we're overcoming developing GETAWAY GRAND PRIX. Kevyn learns a things or two from Brawlstars and Annalyn and learns NOTHING from Mario Kart Tour, while Jace winds back with Dragon Quest 8 and controller chat. The return of two of gaming's greatest mascots, Super Mario and Crazy Frog, is at the tip of our lips and dances across our tongues. Lastly, we get into Hideo Kojima's sun-based Boktai, with a NEVER BEFORE SEEN, life-quaking event for Game Club. It must be seen to be believed, and must be heard to be witnessed. Sky Pirate Radio!
Episode 45 - Fortnite Radicals

Getaway Grand Prix AND Stocks & Swords gamedev updates, Jace reaches peak human performance in Ring Fit Adventure, Kevyn takes a squizz at Min Min in the new Smash Fighter Class and the World Ends With You: Final Remix before taking a look back at Kingdom Hearts 3. Finally, everything goes wrong in our stunning conclusion to the Austin Powers Saga as we ramp up to a whole new era playing Star Ocean: Blue Sphere for Game Club. It's a new dawn, and Sky Pirate Studios is only taking the BRIGHTEST of futures.

Episode 43 - Shaggy's in Hell
YEAH, BABY, YEAH! SKY PIRATE RADIO IS BACK! With their premier shock-jock style, Jace and Kevyn touch base on the latest in gaming software and technology through the lens of Australian comic sensation (?) Da 'n' Dill, before quickly getting to the meat of things with an almost half-our discussion of the first feature in the Hanna-Barbera cinematic universe, SCOOB—and its apocalyptic implications. Kevyn becomes a king-of-sting as we lay down the latest news on PS5 titles, including the announcement of a very special The Lord of the Rings game, before we dive headfirst into Kevyn's newest addiction: Pokemon Cards and Atomicrops. Jace finally comes home to roost in the anime worlds of Sakura Wars and Final Fantasy XIV. And, finally, after 43 episodes of Game Clubs, something truly unprecedented happens upon our exploration into Austin Powers Pinball for the PS1. It must be heard to be believed, and to be believed it must be heard; that's just Sky Pirate Radio in a nutshell, baby.
Episode 42 - Rest in Power
This podcast has a frightening, sparking, manic energy that cannot be contained. This podcast is about videeo games. Join us for the latest on making the new characters and art for Getaway Grand Prix, the Cats film-watching experience and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Headline News pays tribute to new Paper Mario, PS5 tech demos and the untimely demise (?) of the great international spy of all time. On the games front, Kevyn is exploding space ships in Catastronauts, Slayin' (2), and finding himself outnumbered in his newest find in the Pac-Man Clone Safari, Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves. Jace, meanwhile, is deliriously tired, somehow managing to talk about the joys of Streets of Rage 4 and the horrors of Resident Evil: Code Veronica in between before they headlong tackle Game Club with the Metal Gear-em up, Never Stop Sneakin'! Sky Pirate Radio: the ONLY video game podcast... you can dance to.
Ep41 - Cyber Games Inc.

Sky Pirate Radio is a AAA podcast, alright—ALL AUDIO ACTION!
Ep40 Garfield Party
Our two most friendly game makers and players celebrate hitting their flirty forties the only way they know how: talkin' about those precious little games they love so much! At the top of the show we rip into the latest in drifting technology in our new game, Getaway Grand Prix before ripping into our new segment, HEADLINE NEWS, in which we explore the peculiar events surrounding Cooking Mama: Cookstar and the rumored possibility for the for the return of the WiiU, and, thereby, Nintendo Land, with second-screen Switch support. We talk a short reprieve from gossip-gathering and rabble rousing as Kevyn rips into NES Online and goes wild for the simplistic and effective design of Excite Bike and Devil World while Jace gets poisoned by Resident Evil: Code Veronica and healed by Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (and Snack World). The boys tango with the deceptively difficult Game Club, ZX House Attack, and wrap things up answering a few questions about our biggest inspirations for our latest projects (Garfield Party not included). Never be afraid to take control and sieze the day with a rambunctious new episode of SKY PIRATE RADIO!
Ep39 2 Metre Vertical Leap
Things get pear-shaped in the sweetest way on this week's Sky Pirate Radio. We get into how project Getaway Grand Prix has been developing, as well as an update on how Lamplit and Sword Club have been proceeding. Meanwhile, we prepare for lockdown by doing what we do best: twiddlin' our thumbs upon some itsy bitsy games such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons, this podcast's Game Club, Heart Star, and the quiet return of Kevyn's Mobile Korner with Disney Magic Kingdom. We then become frightened and frazzled from out wits to our tips by Resident Evil: Revelations, Resident Evil 3 (PS1), and Resident Evil 3 (Demo). Jace also goes sleuthing around the streets of Kamurocho in Judgment, searching for an answer to the horrible question: how high can Kevyn jump? You can only find the answer one way, buster—in a freaking new Sky Pirate Radio, dude!
Ep38 Professor Layton and the Perplexing Election
Quarantined but ready to break out, it's the 38th instalment of Sky Pirate Radio! In today's embarkation, Jace and Kevyn unveil the inner workings of our new prototype, the maze-racin' arcade caper, Getaway Grand Prix, as well as formally introducing Kevyn's upcoming merch store, FabLab! It's all uphill from there as the Kevyn contracts symptoms of Pac-Man Fever before coming to blows with Jace over their polarising thoughts on the Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo. Jace encounters the second stage of grief in Snack World and the second stage of fear in Resident Evil 2 before the boys kiss, make up, and go cosmic with this weeks Game Club: Dragon Quest of the Stars, before closing things out with dash of the classical Mickey Mouse Ultraviolence. Sky Pirate Radio: FIRST AND ONLY scratch 'n sniff podcast!
Ep37 Dragon Ball Steve Martin
Gettin' crusty in the ears but partying like nothing's wrong, it's episode 37 of Sky Pirate Radio! This week, postulation springs as we detail how work continues on Lamplit, Sword Club, and an ALL-NEW PROTOTYPE we are developing! Kevyn looks back at the Kirby franchise sliding into Squeak Squad, learns about rats on his first journey into Metal Gear Solid, and wins big in Fortune Street (much to Mario's chagrin). Jace enters the world of survival horror in Resident Evil, enters the world of survival horror in Ring Fit Adventure, and enters the world of desire horror in Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl GOLD! We wrap things up in a Neat Nice Bow talking Game Club with the as-described ElecHead, and unveiling our pitch to Ubisoft for the third exciting entry into the Red Steel franchise—Red Steel 3: Disneyland. All bets are off on SKY PIRATE RADIO!
Ep36 Self-Imposed Truman Show
No topic is left ventured in our first gathering of the minds for 2020: we spill the beans on our Mobile Quest prototype and several other sneaky projects the we're cooking up at the moment. In the meantime, Kevyn has been researching the hottest mobile games, exploring the visceral horrors of Luigi's Mansion the Third and Star Wars Battlefront the Second. Meanwhile, Jace is playing Skyward Sword for some reason, and we discuss the toy-like nature of the motion controls before sharing an intimate "Wii Moment". Alas, the night isn't over until we all scream about our new favourite game, SONIC BOLL, pondering how the likes of Guybrush Threepwood and the Crazy Frog would fare in Mario World. We cap things off by reviving the long-forgotten segment, PITCH THAT GAME!, to tackle the greatest game design challenge ever faced: creating a game known only as "Guilty Slug".
Next week, we will be talking about Elechead on the podcast, which you can check out for a price of your choosing here!
If you have questions about our upcoming games, want to contribute to Game Club or Pitch That Game, or wish to probe Kevyn's personal life, give us a hoot and/or holler at @skypirateradio or questions@skypiratestudios.com! We love hearing from you, and Kevyn says he will answer ANY question. Please do not squander this golden-ticket opportunity.
Ep35 Enter the Gadgetscape
The streets are alive with scuttlebutt this week as the boys embark upon journeys the likes of which have never been seen: as Kevyn begins his vision quest to make a game in fifty (50!) days, Jace takes to the virtual realm with PSVR games and a cinematic experience he won't soon forget. Words are exchanged about the new Shovel Knight Showdown and King of Cards content, unleashing Steven Universe's light on Apple Arcade, and our trawl through the cyber-dunes of our Game Club, Void Pyramid. No matter what it is, there's always much ado about something when you're tuned in to Sky Pirate Radio!
Ep34 Archie is going to be on TV
Bouncing off of their seminal "Flubber" episode, Jace and Kevyn are back again to talk all things Riverdale, Archie, and Archie comics. Recalling our contractual obligation to discuss games in the show, we share our thoughts on Terry Bogart entering the Smash Bros. fray, the stress of delivering Hot Wheels in the grim future of Death Stranding, the President of the United States' wild journey into Ni no Kuni 2, and Jace's very favourite game that he loves the most, Knack. Uncover the mystery of Bertie Beetle today with Sky Pirate Radio!
Ep33 Rise of Flubborga
In this disquieting post-Halloween episode, Kevyn has finally exiled himself into Phone Game-Jail for his Time Crimes, but that doesn't stop him from blowin' the bloody doors off with his old pal Jace talking about scare-'em-up Luigi's Mansion 3, and taking a small trip down memory lane with our old friends, Flubber and Ultraman. We cleanse the palette by talking about the Watchmen TV show, and, more importantly, the recent happenings of "Riverdale", before we gather 'round the campfire to talk about our game of the week, Paratopic. From horror, to comedy, to thriller, to drama—Sky Pirate Radio has more where that came from, Buster!

Equipped with two high-tech Formula-1 cars and a little bit of heart, those Sky Pirate boys are at it again—in a race against time!
