The hypotosis of Myonuclei in animal studies has born out 3D Alpha's ideas. Here's one research paper for those of you more scientifically minded listeners: "Myonuclei acquired by overload exercise precede hypertrophy and are not lost on detraining" (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20713720) Without know the science of why, it seems some of the Victorian Ear strong men understood the principles of Nucleus Overload, too.
