Housesitting 5 Months in 2022 ...What's Next?

We performed about 5.5 months of house sitting in 2022. I had hoped to find an additional house sit for the month of December, but no suitable option presented itself. There were a lot of listings for COLD WEATHER sits, but we wanted warm weather over the holidays, so staying home in Florida was our best option. What will happen in 2023? I'm excited to find out! For now, CG and I are enjoying the holidays with family, and we wish the very best for you and your loved ones as 2022 comes to a close. Merry Christmas!...and we'll see you next year!

Travel Babble from North Carolina

Ucluelet British Columbia in the Winter

CG and I discuss house sitting during the winter in Ucluelet on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Ucluelet is a small town off the beaten path along the Pacific coastline where we spent Jan-April enjoying some of the most magnificent coastal country we've ever encountered. We have great memories of storm watching, whale watching, and exploring the tidal pools. Ucluelet is grey, wet, and uncrowded in the winter, and a beautiful place to be.

Great Smoky Mountains National Park

CG and I are house sitting for the summer in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, so we thought we would discuss some of the experiences we have had visiting the park through the years, plus share a few facts about the Smokies. Where can we Travel this Winter?

CG and I need to figure out where we'll travel and live this fall and winter. We are currently house sitting, but our housesitting assignment will end in 4 to 6 weeks (if not sooner!). Traveling slow often provides the best advantage for finding longer-term travel deals, but to take advantage of those deals, one has to often plan ahead, and in the current climate of travel uncertainty, making longer term travel plans is a bit risky.
