The Good Parent
Athletics allow youth to learn valuable lessons, develop strong characteristics and establish an identity. The process can be rewarding if done properly, however, youth's experiences can be dramatically negative if that process is interrupted. While there are many voices and influences around youth, sometimes parents can become their own worst enemy. Counselor, Chris Clark, shares his thoughts on parental involvement in youth sports and what parents can do to give their kids positive experiences and lasting memories.

Support and Success
A handful of studies have shown the correlation between support systems and an athlete's success on game day. Whether you are on the sideline, in the game or behind the scenes, you play an important part in the success of athletics and individuals in the community.
Ann Rudoff is a prime example of what it means to support someone. When she isn't teaching Communications at Western Wyoming Community College, she is fulfilling her role as a supporter outside of the classroom. With a wealth of knowledge in human communication and interaction, Ann firmly believes in the importance of relationships.
The Perfect Storm
When failure at a young age seemed overwhelming, a strong support system allowed Matt Hanson to cope with ADHD. Running serves as that coping mechanism on a daily basis for Hanson. From running The World's Toughest Mudder to the Death Race, Matt competes in races most people wouldn't consider to be possible. When he isn't carrying boulders over a mountain, he focuses on helping children at Eastside Elementary overcome their weaknesses and turn them into strengths, just like he has.
