Can You Take a Break From Social Media Marketing?
In this extended period of uncertainty, marketing fatigue is setting in and remaining creative and positive, day after day can be taxing.
Clients have been asking me “is it ok to take a break”. Everyone is scared their precious work will suddenly go to waste.
When it is a physical health issue, we find it far easier to take this decisive actions which will protect us and yet for mental health issues it doesn’t appear that easy.
We will need our mental health, creativity and positivity once this has passed, and it will pass, so if you need a break, for your own mental health and well-being, then take one. Take those decisions which will not only protect your physical health but your mental health as well.
Take care and keep safe.

Planning without Doing is Fear
When we went into lockdown there was plenty of advice about using your time wisely to plan your business's future, marketing strategy etc
Now we're in extended lockdown and it's important that the planning turns into doing, otherwise, it's simple procrastination. But why wouldn't we go into the doing stage? Well, fear usually. Fear of getting it wrong or fear that it won't work.
This is when it's vital to remember that as a small business, sole trader or entrepreneur you are the most nimble any organisation could be. Something doesn't work, you don't like it or you change your mind.......tomorrow you can change it.
So don't put off any longer - let's get doing!
Emotional Posting - When not to post and what to post if you're having a down day.
It's so important to keep posting and communication with your audience. That's easier said than done in normal circumstances but what about now when we are in the middle of a Global pandemic?!
We're going to go through ups and downs emotionally so how can you avoid bringing that emotional rollercoaster into your content?
In this episode, I talk about when to avoid posting and what posts to share when you’re feeling emotional or less than positive!
You will also benefit from the last episode in which I covered how to prevent digital overload.

Social Media Marketing during COVID-19. What could or should you be doing?
As the saying goes in my house..."Well, that escalated quickly!"
To think that only in the last episode I talked about allowing oneself to become bored and here we are in lockdown trying to work out what to do with our time whilst trying to remain positive and, of course, healthy!
In this episode, I've covered why I think you have cause to think positively - especially if you are a start-up as well as practical advice as to what you can be doing at this time to keep in contact with your clients and customers AND how to use this time to fill in the gaps in your marketing arsenal.
I hope you enjoy - please do leave a review if you do.
Take care, stay healthy

The art of boredom and how it links to happiness
When was the last time you felt bored? Actually bored?
With the advent of these awesome little computers in our pockets on which we can communicate with anyone at any time, do our banking, check our emails, keep a diary, wrote a note...whatever you use it for, we have a constant companion.
Why is this relevant?
Well, when was the last time you had time to think about what you might want to do? Where you'd like to be, who with or doing what activity?
Life can feel like a treadmill at times and we are even encouraged to set time aside to think about what would make us happy, We've lost the ability to instinctively know and I would argue that the avoidance of boredom, these periods when we would naturally be in tune with where we'd rather be and what we'd rather be doing, has been a huge factor.
So, are you willing to allow yourself some time with nothing to do, risk getting bored and maybe discovering a new thing that you want to do?
