Ben Chung - Changing the World through Dance (member of Kinjaz, Kaba Modern, and Jabbawockeez)
In this episode I talk to Ben Chung who is a cofounder of Kinjaz, cofounder of Hitbeats app, and founder of the Chosun clothing brand. He used to be a member of the Jabbawockeez back in the day when they changed the world through dance when they won the America's Got Talent show.

He started off learning Kpop dance moves, performed at his church talent performance, and eventually ended up joining dance groups that have made an international impact in the dance community by showing that dance teams can be the centerpiece of a show instead of just being back up dancers for a famous artist or musician.
Ben shares how his curiosity and ambition has led him down a path that he ended up creating his own path that doesn't fit the mold of getting a degree and a job after school. He shares how it's important to learn the things that you are curious about, discover what you're passionate about, and keep pursuing your path and calling in life.

Cherry Tung - Achieving Financial Freedom and Becoming a Wealth Coach in her 20's
In this episode I talk with Cherry Tung who is a wealth coach. Most of her clients are corporate workers wanting to create additional income streams that align with their passion and expertise. Her approach in coaching is rooted in her personal experience as she created 16 income streams, invested multiple 6 figures in the stock market and reached 7 figure net worth for herself by the age of 25. And she did all that while working a full-time corporate job!
This goes to show that if you really want something you can achieve it. Even though there were times Cherry felt alone, lost, and even depressed at times, she didn't let that stop her from building the life that she wanted for herself and her future self. No matter what situation or circumstance you find yourself in, you can always change that situation and it's never permanent.
Instead of blaming your circumstances or people who weren't there for your, abandoned you, or might not have had had your backs, learn to depend and rely on yourself, love yourself, and start to become the victor not the victim of your life. Instead of letting your fears and doubts get the best of you, follow people on social media who can inspire you, lift you up, and give you the hope to go on another day, find beauty in life, and design the life of your dreams because we have that freedom especially in America.
I hope that you're inspired by Cherry's story not only because she learned how to make money to get out of her financial circumstances but also because she chose to never give up and gave herself permission to go after what she truly wanted in life which is freedom.
If you feel stuck financially definitely reach out to Cherry on Instagram @cherrytung.co and learn from her coaching and if you ever need help growing your social media you can message me @ray.ahn and checkout my free eBook on personal branding if you want to learn how to start building your personal brand on Instagram.

Ricky Gutierrezz - Growing a 900k YouTube Channel on Daytrading and Making Millions in his 20's
In this episode I talk with Ricky Gutierrezz who is a full-time daytrader who has built one of the largest YouTube channels teaching people on how to daytrade. We talk about how he has sacrificed his teenage years and early 20's building, grinding, and creating a digital empire where now he is teaching people how to make profits daily using his trading strategies.
In his mid 20's Ricky has amassed a fortune from daytrading and is helping people eager to learn how to do the same thing. Some things that we talked about were what was the reason for his drive which was to provide for himself and his future family and to build something meaningful that can help others to grow and develop as entrepreneurs.
He shares an experience where he felt like he was working so much that he just felt cold and empty inside and wished that he spent his younger years having fun, playing with friends, and spending time with family. He shares how he worked so much that he often forgot to sleep enough and didn't have proper health but now because of all his hard work, he is reaping the benefits of that today.
The moral of the story is that you will face challenges in life but it's how you deal with them that will determine who you are. Ricky used to post YouTube videos even when nobody would engage with them or view them and has adjusted his content to cater to what his audience wants to learn about.
You don't have to be great to start but you have to start to be great. Whether that's starting your first podcast, writing that first blog, or making that first video for YouTube just get started on creating that Instagram page for your business, building that website, or investing in that coach to get you to where you want to be.

Raymond Ahn - Why I Left Med School to Pursue Entrepreneurship (with Chris Hsu)
In this episode, I get interviewed by fellow podcaster Chris Hsu who asks me questions about myself and why I left med school to pursue my own path in life to building a podcast, growing millions of followers on Instagram, and built my own business coaching others in building their following and personal brands on Instagram.
I talk about why I created my own path in life because I felt like there was so much more that I could do with my life, so much more impact I can make, and much more I can do leaving school and educating myself rather than just following the traditional route of schooling and getting a 9 to 5 job.
I also talk about how I grew, built, and sold accounts for businesses and personal brands. I also talk about the factors that help to make a post go viral, some ways to growth hack Instagram, and the ways I was able to build over a million followers on Instagram.
Hopefully this video helps you get to know a bit more about me and my story, inspires you to find your own path in life, and help you make the changes necessary to your life so that you can make an impact on this world and people will remember you for the legacy that you leave behind.
Everyone wants to be remembered, get people's attention, and most of all leave a legacy that people will remember you by.
That was my desire, to live a life that is lived to the fullest where every minute of it is used for a meaningful purpose to build something great and I hope this episode inspires you to do the same.

Myron Golden - From Trash Man to Cash Man and Selling 1 Million on Stage
In this episode, I talk with Myron Golden who has sold 55k to $1 mill plus packages teaching people how to sell on stage and has even worked with people like Russell Brunson and other famous entrepreneurs. He talks about the importance of following certain principles in business and how just like there's the law of gravity in place, there's certain principles in business that help people succeed.
He shares how he has learned a lot of his principles from the Bible and describes them as God's automation. Myron gives the example of sowing and reaping and how you don't always reap what you sow immediately but it takes time.
He shares how every thought, every word, every dollar, and every action we take is sowing something into the universe and what we sow is actually going to reap something great later on not immediately. Myron talks about how when every thing we do, say, and think is an act of sowing and how we need to be wise in how we live our lives because we will eventually reap whatever we sow into the world.
He has so much wisdom and has shared so much in this episode that you can use for your business as well especially if you want to sell high ticket coaching. More than that though, Myron has so much wisdom and there's this one quote he says "You cannot teach what you do not know, you cannot lead where you will not go."
We also talk about the importance of being resourceful and how important it is to turn your ideas into wealth. You can follow Myron on Instagram.com/myrongolden and can checkout his website myrongolden.com
You can also join his free Facebook group where he teaches on Biblical principles for success here
Anastasia Chudomekhova - Pursuing the Dream of Being an International Professional Violinist from Russia
In this episode, I talk with Anastasia Chudomekhova who is a Russian violinist born in Yalta, Crimea and has started playing violin at the age of 7. She has studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and is pursuing her dream of playing professionally as a violinist.
She talks about how difficult it was growing up without money at a young age and how she was very focused on making money so that her family can no longer live in poverty.
She has found her passion through playing violin and at a very young age she got recognition as she started working with awesome soundmakers from Russia and brands like Sony. She also played for the president of Czech Republic, Italian and Russian ministers as well as others.
An important thing that she talks about is creating a vision board and focusing on the five main areas that matter such as love, relationships, family, career, and personal development. She recommends creating a vision board and focusing your positive energy towards that vision just like how Walt Disney imagined a place where kids can play, have fun, and enjoy time with their families.
What is your vision and what are you willing to sacrifice to see that happen? For Anastasia, it was the dream of being a professional violinist and is now playing in front of royal families.
For you, there might be a vision inside that you cannot get rid of no matter how long you try to run away from it, and I encourage you to start building a vision board so that your dreams can become a reality.
Obviously you will need to make money too in the process, but really start thinking about what you want to do for the rest of your life because that is what most of your life will consist of and if you do it just for a paycheck, then you are not really living your life to the fullest potential nor are you living a truly satisfied life.
Be the creator of your destiny and like Jim Carrey says in this video “So many of us choose our path out of fear disguised as practicality.”
I pray and hope that you choose a life based on love not fear and that you leave your legacy and your mark on this Earth so that you and your accomplishments will be remembered on this Earth even after you are gone.
Please subscribe, share, and let me and Anastasia know what your thoughts are from this interview; we check all our DM's and also she is in need of a DJ so if you can help her with that send her a message!
Hope you were encouraged and blessed by this episode and if you were, please leave a review and if you ever have any questions or want to talk to me directly just DM me at @ray.ahn and I'll respond (don't be shy). Would love to support what you're doing and help you on your journey to achieving your goals and vision in life.
Jaiden Vu - From Depressed High School Dropout to Confident High Ticket Sales Entrepreneur
In this episode, I talk with entrepreneur Jaiden Vu who is a high school dropout and shares his struggle of leaving home as a senior in high school to working minimum wage learning to be a chef. He shares how he had times when he felt like he had depression, was struggling to make ends meet since he was trying to make it on his own, and how difficult it was trying to pursue his passion of becoming a chef while trying to pay all the bills.
He talks about how he had to live couch to couch at friends' houses until he met someone who showed him their paycheck and he was surprised to see at how much they were making. He began to learn sales and start to sell products and services to people and is now a high performance sales coach who teaches others on how to close more deals.
If you've been wanting to learn how to be better at sales, you can checkout his work at blackpeached.com and also his Instagram @jaidenvu for more sales tips and trainings.
What stood out to me about this interview was that Jaiden had to overcome his own limiting self beliefs, low self esteem, and recreate himself to be able to sell himself to others and a lot of times, it's our mindset that prevents us from dreaming bigger, going after our goals, and living our life to the fullest potential.
I hope you are encouraged from this episode and can use what you learn from this to better yourself, build your business, and go after your purpose and passion in life.
Jaiden also talks about how he had to leave his passion to pursue profit but how it is still important to go after what will truly make you feel fulfilled in life while also making money to be able to provide for yourself and your family.
Please leave a review of this podcast if this has helped you in anyway, share with others, and you can stay up to date with the latest episodes through my emails and can subscribe to my YouTube channel here.

Kelin Balian - Importance of Knowing Who You Are and Your Personal Contract
Hey guys,
Before we start this episode I want to let you know of a special coaching program that I'm hosting that will help you build 10k followers in the next 90 days on Instagram.
In this group online coaching program, you'll learn how to grow, build, and monetize your social media brand and presence and learn personally from me the steps that it takes to build a great online personal brand presence for you and your brand.
You will be part of a private special Facebook group with other members looking to grow their personal brand and presence and will also have access to me and others in a weekly zoom call for 12 weeks.
If you've been wanting to grow your presence online, build social credibility, and make more of an impact on others online through your coaching and services, then going online using social media is the way to go.
Nowadays people go off by their "digital impression" of you before they even meet you for their "first impression" of who you are. Without building your digital impression and presence, you will not have a way of standing out from your other competitors and those who do the same thing you do.
I will personally teach you how to create an amazing digital impression by making viral content; build a following; increase engagement; and create a community around your page so more people will want to work with you and your profile.
If you're interested in learning more about this private online group coaching, just send a message to me @ray.ahn or fill out this application if you think you're ready to apply.

In this episode I talk with my fellow entrepreneur and friend Kelin Balian about the mindset shifts that need to take place as you begin to journey into entrepreneurship realm and also the different ways an entrepreneur vs an employee thinks about risk and reward relationships.
Kelin compares entrepreneurs to people who are like motorcross riders who consistently go on these low and high jumps (referring to low and high moments in business as an entrepreneur) and though some may feel like how are they even completing one jump, entrepreneurs go on completing multiple jumps in their journey of building a business.
Most of the times, entrepreneurs are built because they cannot fit into the status quo, they want to create a life of freedom for themselves and their families, and most importantly they want to be their own boss instead of having someone tell them what to do all the time.
Entrepreneurs truly are a different breed of people in that they don't wait for payday for them to get paid but go out there and solve problems that in turn leads to creating more income and revenue.
If you yourself are an entrepreneur or have been looking to dive into entrepreneurship, I'd highly suggest you to read Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki or to start getting into self-development tapes and workshops by people like Jim Rohn, Tony Robbins, and Earl Nightingale.
Also a big reason why I'm a fan of entrepreneurship is that you get to decide your fate and destiny instead of relying on someone else to give you a paycheck after you complete building their dreams.
At the end of the day, it's all about becoming the best version of yourself whether it's through entrepreneurship or some other avenue of self-improvement and with Kelin we talk about the importance of establishing your own contract to yourself, basically a statement declaring who you are no matter how difficult or trying the situation or circumstance you're facing might seem.
You can make an "I AM a ..(traits).. Leader" as a way to powerfully assert and declare who you are to yourself and the universe no matter what situation you may find yourself in.
Please share and review this podcast!

Kimchi Chow - Importance of Loving and Accepting Yourself as a Vietnamese Immigrant
In this episode I talk with life coach Kimchi Chow, a Vietnamese immigrant who has built a successful life helping others to get past their limiting beliefs and also help others achieve their full potential in life through her coaching.
We talk about the importance of loving yourself, accepting yourself, and being content with who you are instead of always comparing yourself to others and always feeling like you have to perform for someone else.
True fulfillment comes from doing what YOU want to do when you want it without any outside pressure from anyone else to go and do that thing.
Kimchi has found her fulfillment helping people to overcome all the limiting beliefs they have in their mind and has a podcast called Asian Women of Power to help Asian women find their voice again so they can take back their power when they might have given it away.
She is involved in several non-profit boards and is a strong advocate for first and second generation immigrants.
She wants to transform the Asian culture to create equality for women at home and at work.

Jorge Contreras - The Mindset that took me from Drug Dealing to Real Estate Deals
In this episode, I talk to Jorge Contreras who is a multifamily investor in 1200+ units and teaches people how to rent out Airbnb properties with no experience and money.
Jorge came from a background of drug dealing, gangs, and has seen his dad pass away from getting involved with the wrong kinds of activities.
He did not want the repeat the same story as his dad so he began to separate himself from the wrong types of people who weren't being a positive influence to him and hung around with people who had a mentality to be better and achieve more with their life.
Not everyone will want to rise up from their circumstances and be an example for others like Jorge was for his younger siblings and those in his community.
But if you want a higher quality of life for yourself, you need to have the mindset to grow, surround yourself with people better and smarter than you, and continue to put in the work everyday to be a better version of yourself.
Checkout the interview to learn the mindset and mentality Jorge had to rise above a circumstances of drug dealing and gangs to owning multiple real estate properties, raising a beautiful family, and contributing back to society.

Edward Woo - Wooji Clothing the Rise of an Asian-American Clothing Empire
In this episode, I talk with my friend Edward Woo who founded his clothing company Wooji.us and is an Asian-American clothing brand that takes a lot of their inspiration from anime and Asian culture for their designs.
Edward started his company by putting a couple grand on his credit card to start his clothing company and since then has been able to work with top influencers to represent his clothing brand.
He grew up in an immigrant home family and he always had a desire to start his own company so he can make enough money to provide for his family, create an impact in culture, and make a positive difference in the world.
Edward is in his early 20's and is just beginning his journey of exploring what he can create and produce to make an impact in Asian-American culture and society.
I hope you learn from Edward's story that anybody can make it, all it takes is belief in yourself, the drive to go after what you desire, and to give 100% of your effort into the dreams and desires that God has placed in your heart.
I believe that we are all capable of achieving great things and it just starts by you taking the first step to yourself, your ideas, and taking the leap to follow your dreams.
Hope this interview with Edward encourages and blesses you.

Azeem Ali - Finding Your Confidence and Facing Your Fears
In this episode I talk with my friend Azeem who runs the Instagram page @foundconscious and how he was able to develop a following by posting content about things that not many people are aware about such as the rolling out of 5G, Neuralink, and how certain foods and habits can affect us.
What I learned from my talk with Azeem is that he has had his own fair share of troubles with his own parents having health problems, being introverted during school, and battling with fear and depression.
Azeem talks about how he had to overcome his fear of putting his face out, start speaking out for what he believes in, and to tackle his fears head-on if he were to live a life that is fulfilling, happy, and meaningful.
Azeem and I are both in our 20's and have been proactively creating and designing the life that we want for ourselves, our families, and the world around us.
I believe we are all capable of making a positive impact in the world, and the change starts with ourselves.
We need to be willing to take responsibility for our lives, make the changes necessary to get there be it financially/emotionally/relationally/spiritually, and stop blaming other people like our parents for not having the life that we want to live.
If Azeem never took the courageous step of coming out of his shell of being introverted, he would never have created @foundconscious and be able to impact the hundreds of thousands of lives that he's doing through social media.
Just like Azeem and I, you are also capable of creating a great life for yourself, your family, and those around you but you have to be willing to make the necessary changes in your mindset, beliefs, values, and actions in order to create that life.
I hope you are encouraged from this interview with Azeem, that you take action on what you hear, and that you apply the valuable lessons you learn into your life for your success and happiness.

Jason Wong (CEO of Wonghaus) - Making Millions as an Internet Child
In this episode I talk with my friend Jason Wong who is the CEO of Wonghaus Ventures and has built multiple companies at a young age. He has exited on several companies already, has learned how to make products go viral through influencer marketing, and from his Tumblr famous days has developed a network on social media that extends to hundreds of millions of followers.
Jason talks about his journey as an entrepreneur and how he used to teach himself various things online because he had free time while his parents were busy working.
During his time when he wasn't helping out with the family business, he spent time learning online, making Internet friends, and learning about American culture from the memes he saw and the media that was produced by Americans.
When Jason immigrated to the states, he came with an understanding of America based on watching media like the TV show "Friends" and consuming social media content.
And he eventually came out with his own product called the Holy Meme Bible which describes all the popular memes of the year and packaged it into a coloring book so kids can discover the popular memes that has shaped a lot of society's culture and trends.
Jason is a genius at influencer marketing and has learned to master making products go viral through utilizing influencers and trends.
He is a self-taught entrepreneur and his advice for those wanting to become an entrepreneur is to listen to your intuition, take risks even if it means failing, and never give up in the pursuit of your purpose and passion in life.
Everyone has a gift and talent they can contribute to the world but it's up to you to find it.

Anna DeGuzman - The Art of Creating Happiness & Joy through Cardistry Magic
In this episode, I talk with my good friend Anna DeGuzman who does cardistry magic and has performed at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. She is one of the few female magicians in the industry who has proved her talent and worth through her skills with cardistry in particular.
She first got into cardistry by self-teaching herself through videos on YouTube and has become so skilled to the point she is doing private shows and will soon be performing on the main stages in the magic industry.
Anna talks about her story growing up of having moved a lot as a kid and using magic as a way to make good use of her time and also make friends through it.
We also talk about things you might not have known about her such as her favorite Filipino food, and how her travels have helped her see that we are not better than anyone else but that we all are human beings who should treat each other as such.

Esa Fung - How to Turn Failures and Bullying into Positivity and Influence
In this episode, I talked with my friend Esa Fung who is 26 years old like me and started off on Vine making funny skits around Asian culture and mannerisms.
He first blew up when he showed his mom a failed math test score and she went off on him and since then has found his niche in the Asian American market.
He was part of the 1 million followers Viners club with popular influencers like King Bach, LeLe Pons, and others.
Fortunately Esa was able to take his following onto other platforms like Instagram and YouTube so when Vine shut down he still had his remaining followers left.
What most people might not know about Esa that he shared in this interview was how he used to be bullied a lot for being Asian but instead of letting these insults and hate get to him, he used them as ideas to create humorous content and skits around them.
He mentioned that as someone involved in the social media space, he gets a lot of hate comments and negativity but he said the only way to get through it is if you have tough skin and keep persisting despite what other people may say or comment about you.
As long as you know what you're doing is fulfilling and helping those around you in some shape or form, you shouldn't let other's opinions deflect you from your path in life.
That part resonated with me because sometimes as someone who is trying to do something different and create content to help others, it can seem as if your work is not doing much or is not getting the kinds of numbers that you see other influencers and content creators getting.
However it's in those times that you need to ask yourself why you started doing what you're doing in the first place, was it for the views and for people's praise or was it for something more meaningful than that.
Hope you're able to take a bit of your time to listen to this interview with Esa not only so you can learn about social media and how to grow but also to ask yourself what it is you truly want to do with your life and whether you are making the necessary actions and commitments to making that a reality.
Nothing worth having comes easy and it won't be easy for you to get off the well-worn path to do something different, but you have to trust in yourself and intuition to lead you down the path that you know to be right for you even if you might not have all the answers.
Hope you enjoy this interview with Esa Fung and you can follow him on Instagram @esafung, on YouTube as EsaFungtastic, and on Twitter @esafung

Terry Song - The Journey to a Million YouTube Subscribers and Staying True to Your Self
In this episode, I talk with my friend Terry Song who has built over 1.7 million subscribers as of this point and has done this all himself by posting reaction videos.
Now he is posting content he is truly passionate about and putting out content that is his own original work such as animations that depict parts of his life and teach lessons to the viewers on the lessons Terry learned growing up.
He gets real and vulnerable sharing about times when he was bullied and had to eat by himself at times because others wouldn't want him to be a part of their group, but he still shares these kinds of stories through animation to give hope, encouragement, and to let others know that there will be a better day if they just hold on.
I was able to record this interview live at Terry's home and in his own studio where he records his own YouTube videos and you can checkout the interview through video on YouTube by clicking the link here.
What I was most impressed from this interview was Terry's willingness to share about his life to people even the parts that may not seem so great but he does this so others viewing can know that they're not alone and that they can also overcome the challenges and difficulties that they are facing currently.
Check Terry's YouTube as TerryTV on YouTube and on Instagram as @terrysongtv and me as @ray.ahn and send us a DM if this interview has helped you in anyway.

In this episode I talk with Christian (@christekton) and Ladi (@londoniangaga) about how they were able to scale their on-demand printing business Tektonland (@tektonland) within a year and work with influential celebrities, athletes, and influencers.
They've been able to work with people like Drake's dad and others in the celebrity and influencer space because of how quickly they can deliver their on-demand products within 24 hours of sending the design they want printed on any clothing item.
They are based out of LA and can print anything on-demand onto any clothing and color. They are disrupting the on-demand printing industry with how quickly and efficiently they are able to produce products for their clients.
Also they don't just mass produce on-demand printing but can produce clothing even if it's just one piece so it's consumer-friendly.
In this interview we talk about the importance of not giving up even when things seem rough, how the only person you need to compete against at the end of the day is yourself, and how success will come if you are patient and working hard and smart towards it.
Hope you enjoy this interview with Christian and Ladi and check them out on Instagram @tektonland for more information about their services.

Sarah Rav - Overcoming Anorexia as a Social Media Influencer
In thie episode I talk with Sarah Rav, a 20 year old medical student and social media influencer with a network of over 2 million followers in the food and fitness space.
We talk about how she got into the social media space and how she was able to build such a massive following in such a short amount of time.
We also talk about personal issues that Sarah had to overcome even in her journey as a medical student and social media influencer, issues that not many people share on social media because of what others might say or think about.
She talks about how she had struggled with anorexia and at one point weighted 30 kilos. Her university had to even suspend her from attending school so she could attend once she had achieved a healthy weight.
Eventually Sarah was able to get her mindset back on track and she shares how she was able to do that with the support of her close friends.
She is open to sharing about her struggles and difficulties she overcame so others may be encouraged and can feel free to reach out to her for support.

Chef Kang - From Making Millions in Real Estate to Chef
In this episode, I talk with Chef Kang, a restaurant owner in Koreatown Los Angeles and his journey of how he went from making millions in real estate, living lavishly, and spending money like water to going broke from his gambling habits and realizing that something needed to be different in his life.
Chef Kang shared personal things like the passing away of his sister which led him to realize he was becoming a person that he wasn't proud of and that he needed to make changes in his life if he wanted to live a happy, fulfilling life.
From having gone broke from gambling to now running his own successful business in Koreatown, Chef Kang shares the lessons and insights he's gained from living life. He shares lessons like how in order for healing and change to begin, you need to blame yourself and not anyone else for the condition you are in today.
He used to blame the fact that his father left him at a young age to cover the fact that he was destroying his life but once he began to blame himself for his condition and realize that his life was a result of the actions he decided, the healing process began and he began to take control of his life again.
More than just learning about how to be an entrepreneur, this interview is about the life lessons and advice from someone who has been at the peak of success and to the depths of financial loss.

Jnetics - From Homelessness to Celebrity Fitness Coach
In this episode I talk with Jay Williams, also known as Jnetics, who has built a successful fitness brand training and coaching movie directors, athletes, and celebrities like Antoine Fuqua the movie director of Training Day, Eddie Murphy, Chris Tucker, Ali Woodson from the Temptations, and many more.
He is a Michigan native who came to California to start a new life and with no money and had to live homeless for awhile living under pickup trucks, shielding himself with cardbox boxes from the cold winds at night, and didn't know how he was going to eat the next day.
Jay talks about his story of how he remembers being called a bum and from since then has decided to never judge someone else because you never know what someone's going through or their story before you get to meet them.
Now he has worked with many influential people and has transformed over 3000 lives with his 90 day Jnetics fitness program helping people lost weight and transform their physique and mindset.

Joon Lee - Standing up as an Asian American in Comedy
In this episode I talk with Joon Lee, an Asian American YouTuber and Instagrammer who makes comedy skits based in Atlanta, Georgia. We talk about his journey of how he broke from the norm of Asian American paths of pursuing a law or doctoral degree and began to pursue creating comedy skits to make people laugh.
He had his roots starting off doing comedy skits at church retreats and later on went to create Youtube and Instagram video content based around Asian American culture.
Joon didn't know how far his comedy skits would take him but he has slowly been building his influence online through his humorous content and topics.
He has hosted at the Kcon event in New York and is also going to be a host at the Kcon event in LA.
We also talk about some of the insecurities Joon had in pursuing his dreams of becoming a comedian actor especially in the entertainment industry. However instead of being discouraged from the fact that there aren't many Asian actors in the space, he looks at it as an opportunity for him to shine in an area where not many Asians are prominently known.
I hope you're inspired and encouraged by Joon's story to pursue your own dream, passion, and purpose in life whatever that might look like and to know that creating the life you want for yourself can be possible if you just take a chance on yourself and try.

Cole Hatter - Building Your Dream Life before your Business
In this episode I interviewed Cole Hatter who is a speaker, investor, author, and the organizer of the entrepreneur event Thrive hosted every year.
We chat about how many entrepreneurs focus so much on the money they forget to focus on their dream life.
Cole recommends that you build your dream life and then build a business to support that because if you make enough money but don't have the time to enjoy time with your friends, family, and loved ones, then what is the point of having all the money in the world?
We also talk about the importance of having the right mindset before going after the money and also how important it is to know how valuable it is to know yourself, know what your values are, and to know what contribution you want to make to the world before the money.
Cole himself is a multimillionaire and he didn't organize Thrive for the money but for the mission of helping entrepreneurs make money and to make their money matter by using their money as a vehicle to live the life of their dreams and to give back to others.
I hope you take away some nuggets of wisdom that you can apply to your life through this interview and that you checkout the Thrive conference which will be hosted this September.
Check it out at attendthrive.com and you can use the code GRATITUDE for $100 for this event.
And I will be hosting coaching on Instagram on how to build out your profile, grow it, and to use social media to network with high-level influencers and entrepreneurs in your industry.

Raymond Ahn - Dropping out of Medical School to Pursue Entrepreneurship
In this episode, my friend Mark Metry who hosts the Humans 2.0 Podcast interviewed me about my journey in leaving medical school to pursue entrepreneurship.
I share my struggles, mindsets, and why I left medical school to do online business and social media.
Even though I didn't have all the answers or know if there was a sure path when I took the leap to leave med school, I just took a chance on myself, trusted in my intuition, and applied myself to learn no matter what it took.
It has been two years since then, and I've networked and made friends with some of the biggest names in social media and entrepreneurship.
I've learned how to build hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram, start my own podcast with no previous experience, and launch my own e-commerce store from scratch.
I'm not any more special than you, but what I did was take massive action since where I was wasn't where I wanted to be.
I applied myself to learn despite not knowing anything because the desire to take hold of my life and live a free, fulfilling life was greater than the fear I had of not knowing what is out there.
Though I'm nowhere near where I want to be, I can confidently say that I'm actively in the process of creating the life that I want for myself not just on the financial level but also in the personal, relational, emotional, and mental levels.
Whether or not you want to be an entrepreneur or influencer, I hope my story and journey inspires and encourages you to keep searching, seeking, and pursuing what is your calling on Earth and to never give up in that pursuit.
P.S. You can download my free ebook on growing your Instagram at bitly.com/freeinstaebook and also connect with me on Instagram as @ray.ahn. I will also be doing a 3 month coaching program sharing with you how you can network with high level influencers, meet other like-minded entrepreneurs, and use social media to your advantage in the next few weeks so sign up for my ebook and I"ll send you info on that!
Jeet Banerjee - The Mindset of a Teenage Serial Entrepreneur
In this episode on the SocialRay podcast, I talk with my friend Jeet Banerjee who first started his entrepreneurial ventures as a teenager when his parents wouldn't give him money to use to hangout with his friends so he took matters into his own hands.
As a 17 year old, he founded JB Media Force to build websites for businesses and got clients even though he was rejected many times by older businessmen who didn't take him seriously.
He then moved on from that to found StatFuse which was a website that helped high school students calculate their chances of getting into the colleges of their choice based on the different algorithms and criteria of each college.
Now in his early 20s, he has sold those businesses and has moved on to building other businesses such as Income Incubator which helps people turn their passion and talent into profit.
What was most notable for me in this interview with Jeet was his tenacity and unwillingness to give up even in the face of rejections and no's by people around them.
Even as a teenager, he didn't let the opinions of others stop him pursuing his dreams and passions, and this has led him to build multiple successful businesses, speak at Tedx, and inspire others to also turn their passions into profit.
I hope you take action on what you hear from this interview and you can follow Jeet on Instagram as @thejeetbanerjee and check his website out Jeetbanerjee.com.
You can also follow me on Instagram as @ray.ahn and get my free ebook where I share my knowledge of how I grew over hundreds of thousands of followers at this link bitly.com/freeinstaebook.

Mark Metry - Earning Six Figures as a Fifteen Year Old
In this episode I talk with my friend Mark Metry who is a 20 year old entrepreneur and is the CEO of a VR company called VU Dream as well as the host of an iTunes Top Charts podcast Humans 2.0.
And Mark's entrepreneurial journey began at the young age of 15 years old, when he made the world's number one Minecraft server (a game) with over 10 million users and 10,000 registered premium members. He made over 6 figures with this popular server and was making more money than his teachers were at 15 years old.
We talk about how Mark could have let the success gone to his head and lead to destructive decisions. However, Mark had been suffering from depression, low self-esteem and self-worth, and felt like a loser inside even though on the outside he had all the money he could have wanted as a teenager.
Mark's parents told him to always keep the future in mind, to not let the success get to his head, and to stay focused on doing what would give value to the world.

Andy Nguyen (Founder of Afters Ice Cream)- Uncovering your Superpower
In this interview, I talk with Andy Nguyen one of the founders of Afters ice cream, known for their unique ice cream flavors and the signature Milky Bun. Andy is a serial entrepreneur who has many different businesses primarily in the food industry.
We talk about Andy's journey into entrepreneurship and the food business and how he wasn't always the business minded person he was today. Quite the opposite, Andy was a rebel, misfit, and got kicked out of school at a young age.
Also as an Asian American, Andy was trying to figure out what he wanted apart from the traditional path of studying to become a doctor or lawyer. He had different ideas of what he wanted to do and become and stumbled onto the clothing industry where he met upcoming artists and musicians like Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, and others.
He built a successful clothing line, worked with many people in the entertainment industry, and eventually left to get started in the food industry when he thought of opening an ice cream shop Afters Ice Cream with novelty flavors like Jasmine iced tea flavor, cookie dough, and others.
Afters ice cream has been served at Coachella, all across Southern California, and his ice cream flavors have gone viral because of their unique flavor and their Milky Buns, which are two hot donuts sandwiched with a cold ice cream filling inside.

Tenzotea Founders Steve and Rob - The Rise of a Green Tea Empire
In this episode, I chat with Steve and Robbie who are in their early 20's building a green tea empire called Tenzotea. They source the highest quality grade green tea and matcha from Japan to sell in the US. Now they are featured in over 120 locations and cafes and have established themselves as a popular drink in cafes across Southern California.
With nothing but a vision to start a successful business and follow his heart, Steve left college studying at UCLA and with his friend Robbie woke up at 5:30AM and worked late into the night on their business everyday for a year. It seemed like nothing was happening even though they were putting in the work and no cafes seemed to want their drink.
Until one day, after around a year of working they finally landed a deal with one of the major cafes in the area and from there on they expanded to other cafes. Now many popular cafes feature the Tenzotea drinks in their area.
Steve and Robbie plan to expand their business further and help the world by providing the healthy benefits that green tea can provide. Unlike soda and other unhealthy drinks, green tea matcha has many antioxidants and health benefits that lead to healthier living and is also a delicious choice for a drink.
Listen to the advice, wisdom, and experience of Steve and Robbie on their journey to building a successful business in their early 20's and I hope their story encourages you on your own path in life. Listen to the full interview on the SocialRay podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, and Soundcloud.

Zach Benson - Staying at 5 Star Hotels for Free Using Instagram
What if you could just use your Instagram to stay at five star hotels that usually cost $2000 a night for free? This sounds like a dream but it's reality for Zach Benson, a 31 year old entrepreneur who has built his social media agency company, traveled to over 50 countries teaching dance and social media, been on a TV dance show, and has even given a Tedx talk.
But he was not always the confident Zach he is today. He used to struggle pronouncing the letter "R" as a young student from Korea and was told by a teacher he would never overcome his speech impediment. For Zach, this devastated him and his self-confidence as a young student until he regained his confidence through his passion of dancing.
He has used his dance skills to travel around the world teaching dance and has even been on TV dance shows. He has also gotten into the world of social media and has formed a network of over 10 million followers in the travel niche which he uses to stay in five star hotels and resorts for free in exchange for promotions and social media services.
Zach run his own social media agency and has several courses about to launch teaching people how to travel around the world like he did using Instagram and teaching dance. Zach's commitment to never give up despite the circumstances has inspired me and hope that it will inspire you to continue on your path in life. He never knew his passion would lead into a full-time business, but now he knows his path in life and decided to go all into his business instead of pursuing the traditional school route of going to college. He has self-educated himself through mentors, online courses, and by reading books like "Sell or Be Sold", "How to Win Friends and Influence People", "Managing Oneself" and "Expert Secrets."

In this episode, I talk with entrepreneur Vince Wang (@vince_wang_ceo) who has built multiple ecommerce stores self-teaching himself online. He has generated over $500k in one month (his best month) from his ecommerce business at 19 years old. But he didn't always start off so well. He came from a difficult background of having gone through his parents' divorce at 15 years old and his family was going through bankruptcy.
