We situate the discussion in terms of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The episode also features Save San Roque Alliance, a grassroot advocacy formation of residents, volunteer students and professional, and their ongoing attempts to highlight the collective struggle of the urban poor in creating new relief alternatives.
Women’s struggles in the Philippines' Covid-19 (mis)management
In this episode, we expose the struggles that women brave through in the time of covid-19 as well as problematize why these struggles are eclipsed in the Philippine’s pandemic management. We end with a brainstorming of measures that can affirm women’s rights even during crises and sharing of useful information to maintain a community of care among Filipinos of all SOGIE.

This podcast is an initiative of the UP Diliman Department of Sociology dedicated to look into the salient yet often undetected social consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ways through which it further exposes and enunciates persisting inequalities in society. It is a space that aims to share information, questions, and demands for transparency and accountability from the Philippine government.
