Episode 9 - with Layla Moran. Paving the Way to Change.

Episode 9 - with Layla Moran. Paving the Way to Change.

This is an exciting and an unprecedented time for Layla Moran. At the time of recording this podcast Layla was only days away from knowing if she had won the battle to become the newly appointed Leader of the Liberal Democrat. VOTE LAYLA

This podcast is all about the inner workings of the mindset not only of a political candidate that is running to head up her party but the human being behind the media frenzy. I liken the mindset in this heightened time to that of anyone who has worked hard in their career waiting to hear if they have been appointed the life changing job they have always wanted or to the actor waiting to get the call to see if they have a lead in the latest blockbuster or to the athlete waiting to run the race that could potentially get them into the Olympics. Everyone copes with the pressure differently but the goal to succeed rarely varies.

Layla and her team have been working hard although COVID-19 to create an ongoing, solely online campaign, never been done before.

Her experience as a former Teacher, Local Activist and Member of Parliament has taught her immeasurably about the skills to becoming a successful leader. Check out the podcast today to hear her thoughts on leadership, mindset under pressure and her personal story that has taken her to this potentially very exciting time...

Episode 6 - with Rebecca Myers. Bringing convenience to fitness.

Meet Rebecca Myers: 13 years ex Creative Agency Account Director, 7 years marketing recruitment consultancy owner, 2 years fitness company owner, mother of 2 boys, one of which has some challenging mental disabilities, and wife to a busy TV producer who’s team is spread all over the world. Oh yeah, and they have just finished building their own house from scratch! Some say she is crazy, some say she is super woman, but she thinks she is just a girl with lots of ideas and wants to make the most of the life she has been given!

Work In Your Work Out (or WIYWO for short) was born from a need that was not being fulfilled in the corporate world. Time poor, office based professionals (like Rebecca once was) who want to look after their health but needed something convenient to assist with this. This is what WIYWO does: bringing fitness, health and wellness to the workplace. Even if, at the moment, this is whilst you are working from home.

Faye Jacobs has a professional background in Digital Marketing working with some of the biggest super brands in the world, after having her first child she faced the very real cross roads so many career women face - was she to become a stay at home mum and say good bye to her career or was she to keep climbing the corporate ladder only seeing her children at weekends? She chose to give up her career but refused to believe she couldn't have it all...

Today, she is a full time parent to her 3 young children and in her spare time runs a multi-million pound global online business in the health and wellness industry, she believes the key attribute of leadership is to inspire others to follow by always going first. Episode 2 - with Luke Sutton. Finding Freedom

Episode 2 - with Luke Sutton. Finding Freedom

In this episode I talk to Luke about his time as (what he calls) a journeyman pro cricketer, we discuss his absolute obsession with the need to succeed, leading his team in Derbyshire as their new captain and his battle with extremes working hard to be the best and playing hard with excessive drinking which ultimately landed him in the priory.

Now a business owner and sports agent of Activate Management he talks about his passion to help young stars, not only succeed but works to give them a support platform before they spiral into the same type of experiences he faced.

In November 2019, Luke released his raw and very honest autobiography ‘Back from the Edge’. I high recommend it for anyone finding themselves suffering in silence, you are not alone, there is a way out.
