There's various viewpoints on who can hold the label; hobo, tramp or bum. Are they a different name for the same type of person or is there a difference? So you're at the hop-out point, what now? Here's a few options to look for when deciding on what freight car to ride and a somewhat elaborate details on one specific car. Again, don't try this at home!

It's a common question asked when traveling so i try giving a few pointers that i use; the why, when, how, and where. Bear in mind each location and circumstances can have a different approach, for example, not every yard has a bridge transcending it's width. It's not for everyone, so don't try this at home.

After a week in North Platte and staying at the Lincoln Connection it was time to go. Walking 🚶 three or so miles back out where i got off originally we waited for a train. Our efforts was in vain after being called in by an engineer. So our only option now is to hitchhike.

At a time my life was in turmoil and didn't know which way to turn I stumbled upon a new lifestyle that would forever change my perspective and worldview.
