Here is a little info: In the magic realm of Coventry, the twin sisters Artemis and Apolla are saved by their protectors Illeana and Karsh from the Darkness and brought to another dimension. They are adopted by different families but in their twenty-first birthday, their protectors force them to meet each other. Alex Fielding lost her mother three months ago and is alone seeking a job while Camryn Barnes lives with her beloved wealthy parents. Once together they find that they have magic powers and they should return to Coventry to save their biological mother and their kingdom from the Darkness.

If you haven't hear of the Obiwan Kenobi movie, go straight to Google and look up "Kenobi Patterson Cut" and you'll find exactly what you need. But the short of it is that after the Kenobi series came out last year, a young man named Kai Patterson cut up the show and revamped it to be a 2 and a half hour movie. And it's actually really great! He added some familiar music, took out some unnecessary silence and staring, and overall it was a great experience!

So, go watch the movie (if it's even available anywhere anymore) and then come back and take a listen!

Welcome back! I spent two weeks with no internet or social media on my phone!

It's still the new year… and that means that 2 week challenges are back on my mind. So i decided to start this one with a 2 week challenge having a dumb phone. Sort of. I did do this once before… but only for one week… and that was a while ago.

I was actually talking to melody about new years resolutions.. .well more like just looking back at last year and thinking about things we’d like to do differently going into this next year. One thing that we ended up talking about was the kids and their screen time. Which made me think about how much time i spend staring at the screen on my phone while i’m around them. I’ve tried some other ways to be on my phone less with the kids, like putting my phone into focus mode and things like that… but when i was bored or just didn’t want to play whatever the kids were screaming about… i would pull out my phone and scroll. And then end up just diong that for the next… long while.

So, i thought i would just use my phone for what a phone should be used for. So i removed the internet from it. Nothing that used the internet would work on my phone. Well… more specifically i cleared everything on my phone with a factory reset, and then just didn’t install anything else. Turned off wifi and bluetooth. And off we went.

Today we're talking about living 2 weeks with only eating meat!

The carnivore diet was probably my most difficult challenge so far. I did not enjoy meal times or most snacks.. and I barely lost any weight. the goal wasn't to loose weight and I definitely wasn't calorie counting... but I thought that cutting out all the sugar and carbs would help me loose some pounds... but just not as much as i wanted. i lost 3 lbs in two weeks... some of you are saying well, that's pretty awesome but i was not impressed. i would of rather had ice cream and kept those 3 pounds... lol. I also think carnivore by itself is too hard to maintain... like many diets. i think with slight modifications it could be doable. i also felt a lot better on it physically. it increased my energy. I was hungry less. it increased my sex drive... noticeably. eesh... awkward i know. but its definitely true. I did lose weight (even if it wasn't as much as i hoped)... so it had a lot of good things going for it. i just didn't enjoy meal times anymore. so, was it worth it? well, let me tell you this.... I stopped the carnivore diet on a Monday after that week and weekend of going back to my normal diet... i went back to a meat based diet by the next Monday. at this current time I'm still trying to avoid carbs and sugars, but not be tooo too picky. i just felt really bad that first week off of carnivore. bloated and sluggish and in the bathroom way too much. i wasn't enjoying it. now i have meat at meal times, but if i do want some chips and salsa for a snack, i let myself have it. i think everyone should at least try it and see what they think. the pros may outweigh the cons for you... or you might get sick of eggs and chicken your third day. but, you'll never know unless you try.  Today is NOT a star wars episode. Today we're gonna talk about my latest two week challenge. which was getting up before 5:00 every day. so, lets do it!

So, if you haven't listened to my last 2 week challenge episode, it was about giving up caffeine for 2 weeks. I'm trying to do things that are supposed to make my life better, but only do them for two weeks at a time to see if i actually like them or if they improve my life. quick update on the caffeine front.... I'm back to intaking the exact same amount of caffeine i was before i did the challenge.... most days. other days i substitute kratom or ginseng. BUT that's not what we're talking about today! 

Today is all about getting up early!! Take a listen to see how it all turned out!
