Sound Journeys - Travel Meditation

Sound Journeys is a personal journey of traveling and experiencing the world thru sound.
In this episode I was taken by one of my Phone messages and from there it has taken a totally different personal journey.
I invite you to dive with me into the people and conversation that are part of my life, many different languages  and people, very interesting vibe!

Come wake up with me , jump on the scooter and lets sit down together in my local stream to listen to the world together.
A simple, yet very strong experience of listening to our own simple soundscapes.

It is just when I listen back to the recordings, I realize how rich is our soundscape, how ignorant we are to what is being said or heard around us and what a learning experience this provides on this shared soundscape we live in.

Listening is a key to understand life, listen to the world around us, listen to others and to ourselves.
When we listen the world comes to us, we become receptive, we become present.

On this episode I visit wind and birds sancuaries in different continent and in between I hop on the A train Subway to 125th Street in NYC, meeting the "Platform Musicians" ... 
I also take you underwater to listen to deep sounds from within and I meet a meditation facilitator who inspire the way on Alfa Frequency

Spring/Summer has crawled in and in many ways, yet again there is a feeling of regeneration for me.
This episode is another reflection of the transition we go through, the fullness of the life around us and the magic of listening.
with Easter,Passover, Ramadan and all the FULL/NEW moons around us. another exhasting elections in Israel and the slow return of physical travel for me.

I take you on a journey from home to home, we visit the demonstrations, we spark travel imagination, we walk trough the street of Paris, we listen to conversations and situation .
We smile, we breath.

Starting in a Fram in the Maharashtra hills (India) where one of the local boys took my recorded and went out to the fields to show his mom which was picking vegetables and singing.

moving to the hustle bustle of delhi traffic and busy temple and from there directly to the tran track of Tokyo Subway ...

In a world exploding with information, we sometimes forget the basics, simple conscious  listening. without gazing at our phones or computer screen. just listen.
These episodes are a reminder that we share an amazing soundscape on this planet and that we tend to take it for granted.

In this episode we will start our journey in extremely remote village in Tanzania, Africa, a group of woman is herding the cattle out to drink water.
walking silently with the herd , reveal details of conversations and skin moving…

Reaching the edge of the village we come across a "Hunting Ceremony" where woman and man gather together and start to generate heat (tapas) and energy before going to hunt, the woman chants in high pitch voices to encourage the man to be brave while the man preform breathing (pranayama) exercise, and use voices and drones techniques to answer the calling.

I encourage you to take a deep breath and dive into the ceremony , let your imagination take over and just let go, be an observer for your mind and body reaction.

From there we will go up north to Jerusalem old city and visit  Chapel of Saint Vincent de Paul, where the Delaware University choir is preparing their live stream from Jerusalem to the graduation ceremony in Delaware ...building up excitement.

And lastly we will walk back silently in mount kofta Tanzania back to my hotel room in Chennai,  India to experience a blessing by mahesh.

In this episode we will start in Sri Lanka on a side road next to Galle , a huge buddhist shrine with amazing dome that reflect all the sounds of the jungle , birds, traffic and gentle monk prayers.

We cross the water to Karnataka south India, where the rain forests has an orchestra of sounds, and we will hear the story of the King Cobra .

From south india we will transit in space to the Negev desert in Israel and walk in the middle of the night to visit a Bedwin tribe preparing for party.

And from here we wind up on a hill next to my house listen to the bird blessings.

Sound Journey is a unique way of experiencing the world thru listening.
I will be taking you to visit places and situation and have a very unique and different experience.
I was very lucky to travel, listen and collect sounds from across the world for the past 25 years, its amazing to be able to listen to the sound around us and explore the world with our hearing sense and imagination.

While we hardly share a common soundscape anymore , its a great opportunity to tune in and listen

I will be releasing episodes every month from Cities, to jungles, holy places, conversations and many more.
