Sounds Of Brass Featuring a Tribute to Chris Mallett
On this weeks show! Featuring Chris Mallett & Friends Tribute. Southern California Divisional Bandmaster Chris Mallett was suddenly promoted to Glory on June 18, 2000. He leaves behind a legacy of faith in Christ, an immeasurable influence on the world of Salvation Army music, and innumerable young people with commitment to God and the full development of their musical talent. In 1986 Chris was appointed Divisional Music Director for the Southern California Division. He has been featured throughout the world as a euphonium soloist and has had a number of band and vocal compositions published by The Salvation Army.

Sounds Of Brass The Drybrook Brass band
  Our Featured band today is The A. W. Parker (Drybrook) Band, a Brass Band located in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. They are a First Section contesting band and also perform at many concerts and events in and around the local area of Drybrook and Mitcheldean.

Recording of Today's Live Broadcast 14th August 2019 opens with The Cossack march (William Rimmer) On January 23rd 1992,  The Death of Harry Mortimer CBE represented the end of an era for the Brass Band. The Cossack was chosen to open the Harry Mortimer Tribute concert in April 1992 here it is played with the massed bands of Black Dyke Band FAIRYBAND Foden's Band Enjoy the show and share it with your friends
