Season 3, Episode 10: The Final Conversation
Here Father Ben and I speak about what the end of the PCOM process was like, and where I'll be going forward from here.
Season 3, Episode 9: The Spiritual Biography
During the PCOM/discernment time, we shared our spiritual biographies. These became a way to get to know each other but also to more clearly see God's path in our lives. This is my spiritual biography.
Season 3, Episode 8: Prophetic Voices
My friend Reverend Dr. Dominique Johnson speaks to me here about how a friend of his with a prophetic voice knew he was being called- just as he was realizing God's presence in his life himself. And, as Dr. Johnson said, things got real.
Season 3, Episode 7: Milk Down the Mountain
What happens when a discerning young person gets in a car wreck in Appalachia- with milk everywhere? This is an entertaining story of how God can speak to us in the oddest moments from my friend Reverend Sara Pugh-Montogmery of Centenary Methodist Church.
Season 3, Episode 6: Called to be Yolked to This?
In this episode I speak with my dear friend Rev. Stacey Harwell-Dye about her own calling to the church and how one has to discern being tied -or yolked- to institutions that have also caused harm... and the grace that can also come from that.
Season 3, Episode 5: The Scripture Should Free You
Have you ever experienced someone weaponizing scripture against you? That's just some of what we talk about in this episode.
Season 3, Episode 4: Encouraging Independent Thought
I bet you've always thought that church encourages a monolithic thought of it's members? That's not always that case, and certainly not here. We also discuss the idea of if members of the population are turned off by the format of our church.
Season 3, Episode 3: "The Evangelicals Are Coming For Me"
In this podcast episode we address the viral video of my daughter and I and how - at least one person- felt like I took the Lord's Name in Vain... and what that
truly means according to my minister and I.
We also made reference to the video, which is here:

As well as a TikTok video I mentioned:

Season 3, Episode 2: Did Henry VIII really start the Episcopal Church? Why do we cross ourselves?
In this episode we jump down a theological and historical rabbit hole regarding Henry VIII and the Episcopal church and after our commercial break we talk about why we cross ourselves.
Season 3, Episode 1: What is Discernment? What is being an Episcopalian?
For this first episode of Season 3 I speak with my minister, Father Ben Wells of St. Francis Episcopal Church in Macon, Georgia about what it means to be Episcopalian and what it is to go through the discernment process of figuring out if one is called to the ordained ministries.

A Year of No Communion
"Even as we bring Alleluia back into our worship tomorrow, so many of us are still waiting to bring it back into our daily lives. Waiting for the darkness over their souls to recede. We aren’t quite out of the woods yet, whether it’s from COVID or any other thing that plagues you."

Be. Good. Enough.
There are a few things that have happened over the past year that have allowed me to come to the conclusion that sometimes just being good enough is simply that- it’s not about being your best and being ok with it. It’s about embracing the crap that comes in life. And that perhaps failure isn’t actually failing, but learning how to let go.
