In this episode, Kadi introduces a new segment called The Bubble where he shares his thoughts on different things he finds interesting in the comic book, video game and animation space in Africa. On the first edition of The Bubble, he discusses different ways comic book creators in Africa make money.

In this episode, Kofi and Kadi discuss Paper Angels, a comic book by Kudzai Gumbo and Rodney Ngundu from Zimbabwe. In typical Squid CoW fashion, we break down the review into things we like (likies), don't like (urgh) and what we're looking forward to (to infinity and beyond). We also share some of the projects, news and events we're most excited about for 2020 such as the Shesha Fest by Cartoon Network Africa, Accra Animation Film Festival, Leged on Yasuke by TAG Comics and more. 

In this second episode,  I go Behind the Ink with Bertil Toby Svanekiaer, a leading animator and 3D generalist in Ghana. We talk a bit about him and his studios, Indigene B.R.O.S. and OOTO Studios and his project, Chaskele. I also pick his brains on the state of animation in Ghana and how he feels about Africa being the spotlight territory for Annecy 2020. Bertil also reveals which popular Ghanaian stories he'd love to see animated. Hint, it involves red and stilettos. 

This episode also features our crowing rooster, back for a remix with some extra birds. 

In this first episode,  I introduce the podcast properly and together with my partner, Kofi Sydney Asare, we share our thoughts on Lake of Tears, an award-winning graphic novel by Kobina Ofei and Setor Fiadzigbey in typical Squid CoW fashion. We also get in our feels about a series of illustrations by Collyde Prime titled Naija Cyberpunk. We also feature a magnificent rooster who wanted nothing more than to sing it's heart out even though we didn't ask. 😑
