It seem harsh and unforgiving, but at the same time a place of incredible beauty and resilience. The sun-baked landscape is maybe the last place you would think of going spearfishing, but Lake Powell offers sheer magnitude of fish and adventure.
This year the WORLD FRESHWATER SPEARFISHING CHAMPIONSHIPS is held at Lake Powell may 16 - 20th and we sat down to talk with Mike Livingstone, Kenny Western and Mike Kennedy about the event and what to expect.
We talk about the championship, about the rules, places, fish and where to sign up.

In this episode we will learn that speaking with whales and other mammals is not fiction.
Fabrice Schnoller is a French entrepreneur, engineer, biologist specialised in neurosciences, freediver and VR movie maker. Schnoller has pioneered VR for more than 10 years. He has also participated in many international projects as VR director of photography and director : New York Time, Monaco Explorations, Discovery Channel, Orange and Arte TV. His work was nominated at the Emmy Awards and he is laureate of the UN Solution Summit. His movie are exposed in different museums in France, USA, Iceland and Norway. He is also writer for the french Litterature Magazine.
Fabrice is currently working on a documentary about Hvaldimir which will be released this year.
He was visiting our tiny studio and we talked to him about his projects, whale communications and all water mammals where we learned alot about their behaviour.

Fabrice Schnoller is a French entrepreneur who gained international attention for his involvement in the rescue and rehabilitation of Hvaldimir, a beluga whale that became stranded in Norway's Arctic waters.
Fabrice is a biologist and filmmaker as well, and are currently working on a documentary about Hvaldimir which will be released this year.
He was visiting our tiny studio and we talked to him about his projects, whale communications and all water mammals where we learned alot about their behaviour.
