Spirit Life Church is a non-denominational church that was pioneered by Jeff and Natasha Ferguson located in Alexandria, MN. Our vision is to raise up people to intimately know their God, obediently respond to His Word, confidently hear His voice, and faithfully follow His Spirit... to reach the lost and disciple the found.
The wisdom from a mentor has saved many students from failure and given them the needed boost to succeed. In this teaching, we’ll look at four instructions a father gives to his son to lead his life and ensure a successful relationship with God.
A Legacy is anything handed down from an ancestor or predecessor. In short, it’s an inheritance. Everyone wants an inheritance but are you willing to put in the work to leave one for others. In this teaching Pastor Jeff will share the legacy that has been passed down in his own family and how you can start and continue to prepare a legacy for those who come after you.
“Who I was is not who I am”
3 ways God transforms us
1- the power of His presence
Exodus 11:3 NLT “Now the Lord had caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the people of Israel. And Moses was considered a very great man in the land of Egypt, respected by Pharaoh’s officials and the Egyptian people alike.”
In the presence of God and by the voice of God we learn our identity.
Mathew 17:5 ESV “This is my beloved Son with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”
2-the power of His Word
Romans 12:2 NLT “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”
3- Discipleship (the long walk)
Mathew 4:19 ESV “Follow me and I will MAKE you fishers of men”
Discipleship happens during times of pressure, hardship, and loss.
4 attitudes needed for transformation
Romans 12:3 “ Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give you each this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us”
Mathew 5:6 NIV “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled.”
Mathew 16: 24 “Then Jesus said to His disciples if any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.”
Psalm 105:19 NLT “until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character”
Exodus 14:15-16 NLT “ Then the Lord said to Moses,” why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! Pick up your staff and raise your hand over the sea. Divide the water so the Israelites can walk through the middle of the sea on dry ground.”
In this last teaching of our BeAttitudes series, we look at 5 attitudes that you can build your life on.
These attitudes form a solid foundation that will enable you to continue to build your faith as you grow in Christ Jesus.
They will also help you be an example to others of what it looks like to truly love God and walk in His will.
People spend most of their days chasing things that can never last. The world’s mantra is “Live for today for tomorrow we die.” But heaven’s mandate is “Live today with tomorrow in view because tomorrow will last forever.” In this teaching, we will discuss three things that people worry about most and how choosing what you treasure today can change your life forever.
Practice does not make perfect, but it does build confidence. God wants you to be confident
in your relationship with Him and in His love for you. In this teaching, we will look at three things that every believer
should be practicing in their everyday life. You will learn “How” you practice is just as important as “What” you practice.
As a believer, more time will be spent on adjusting your attitude [your mental & emotional outlook concerning life and God’s kingdom] than on any other discipline. In this teaching, Jesus lays out a list to help us check what attitudes are constantly in need of adjustment. The purpose is to keep our hearts connected to His so we can help connect His heart to others.
Attitudes are important to life. They can either help you soar or keep you grounded.
As a believer, most of your discipleship training will be on learning how to keep a kingdom attitude.
In this teaching, you will learn how the right attitude can change not only the world around you but also the world within.
God’s Word is the power behind effectual prayers. Once we ask and believe that God will answer, we need to release those prayers onto a target. The largest target of our prayers should be for the lost, the sick, and the hurting. This teaching will help you be more effective in working with God to see those you love experience salvation, healing, and freedom.
One of the reasons we don’t see answers to our prayers is just because we stop praying.
Jesus taught His disciples that they should always pray and never lose heart. In this teaching, you’ll learn how to deal with unbelief that rises in your heart. How to tell when you’re really in faith, and how to remain hopeful while you’re waiting for the answer.
Most believers pray, but many don’t realize how powerful their prayers really are.
In this teaching, you will learn just how much power your prayers hold, and why heaven rejoices
when you as a believer choose to activate your authority and release God’s Word.
Matthew 2:1-3 (NASB) Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, 2 "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him." 3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
1. Worship Is The Why Behind The Journey
Matthew 2:4-11 (NASB) Gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, King Herod inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born. 5 They said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea; for this is what has been written by the prophet: 6 'And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah, are by no means least among the leaders of Judah; for out of you shall come forth A Ruler Who will shepherd MY people Israel.'" 7 Then Herod secretly called [called for a private meeting] the magi and determined from them the exact time the star appeared. 8 And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search carefully for the Child; and when you have found Him, report to me, so that I too may come and worship Him." 9 After hearing the king, they went their way; and the star, which they had seen in the east, went on before them until it came and stood over the place where the Child was [not Bethlehem]. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. 11 After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures [their hearts], they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
2. Worship Keeps Your Heart Open
Matthew 2:12-15 (NASB)
Having been warned by God in a dream not to return to Herod, the magi left for their own country by another way. 13 Now when they had gone, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, "Get up! Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him." 14 So Joseph got up and took the Child and His mother while it was still night, and left for Egypt. 15 He remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet:" Out of Egypt I called MY Son."
3. God Will Guide & Provide For The Journey
Psalm 32:8-9 (NLT)
The Lord says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise [counsel] you and watch over you. 9 Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control."
4. God Will Protect You On The Journey.
Matthew 2:16-18 (NASB) When Herod saw that he had been tricked by the magi, he became very enraged, and sent and slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the magi. 17 Then what had been spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: 18 "A voice was heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children; and she refused to be comforted, because they were no more."
5. God Will Steer Your Fears On The Journey
6. God Wants You To Enjoy The Journey.
God Wants To Open Your Heart!
John 1:1-5 (NASB) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4 In Him was life [g2222 Zoe; God’s life], and the life was the Light [g5457 phos; daylight] of men.
John 1:14, 17 (NASB) And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. 17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
Luke 2:21-32 (NASB) When eight days had passed, before His circumcision, His name was then called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb. 22 And when the days for their purification according to the law of Moses were completed, they brought Him up to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord 23 (as it is written in the Law of the Lord, "Every firstborn male that opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord"), 24 and to offer a sacrifice according to what was said in the Law of the Lord, "A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons." 25 And there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon [one who hears - obeys and is heard]; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation [comfort] of Israel; and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27 And he came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to carry out for Him the custom of the Law, 28 then he took Him into his arms, and blessed God, and said, 29 "Now Lord, You are releasing Your bond-servant to depart in peace, According to Your word; 30 For my eyes have seen Your salvation, 31 Which You have prepared in the presence of all peoples, 32 A Light of revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel."
An Open Heart Gets Filled!
Luke 2:33-35 (NASB) And His father and mother were amazed at the things which were being said about Him. 34 And Simeon blessed them and said to Mary His mother, "Behold, this Child is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and for a sign to be opposed - 35 and a sword will pierce even your own soul - to the end that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed."
An Open Heart Is Valuable & Useful!
Luke 2:36-38 (NASB) And there was a prophetess, Anna [gracious, grace] the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years and had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, 37 and then as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the temple, serving night and day with fastings and prayers. 38 At that very moment, she came up and began giving thanks to God, and continued to speak of Him [picking up where Simeon left off] to all those who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.
An Open Heart Is A Satisfied Heart!
Every day God is longing to open your heart
So He can Fill you, Use you, and Satisfy you.
Matthew 1:18 (NASB)
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 1:19-25 (NASB) Joseph her husband, being a righteous man [Mic 6:8 Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with God] and not wanting to disgrace her [expose, put to an open shame], planned to send her away [divorce her] secretly. 20 But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take [receive] Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins." Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: 23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which translated means, " God with us." 24 And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and took Mary as his wife, 25 but kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son; and he called His name Jesus.
God wants you to have a personal encounter with Him.
Luke 2:1-20 (NASB) [The Journey To Bethlehem]
Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that a census be taken of all the inhabited earth. 2 This was the first census taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3 And everyone was on his way to register for the census, each to his own city. 4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, 5 in order to register along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child. 6 While they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth. 7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
God Will Always Make Room For You To Experience More Of Him.
Luke 2:8-15 (NASB) [A Crazy Night In The Country]
Each Experience With God Increases A Hunger For More Of God.
Luke 2:16-20 (NASB) [I’m not crazy after all]
So the shepherds came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. 17 When they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child. 18 And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart. 20 The shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.
The Most Unbelievable Experience Is A Shared Experience.
God knows the way! Sermon #2 in The Journey series.
Hebrews 11:8 (NASB) By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out not knowing where he was going.
Luke 1:57-66 (NASB) [John Is Born]
1. Let God Navigate Your Journey.
Unbelief silences faith but obedience releases grace.
God knows the promises He gave to you, God has not forgotten you, and God will release His grace in response to your faith.
2. Realize It’s Your Journey Not Theirs
God always keeps an element of mystery in the journey.
3. Be Committed To The Journey
Luke 1:67 (NASB) And Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied.
"Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord. 6 He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse." [Malachi 4:5-6]
Luke 1:68-79 (NASB) [The 1st New Testament Prophecy]
"Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited us and accomplished redemption for His people, 69 and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of David His servant — 70 as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from of old — 71 salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us; 72 to show mercy toward our fathers, and to remember His holy covenant, 73 the oath which He swore to Abraham our father, 74 to grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, 75 in holiness and righteousness before Him all our days. 76 "And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go on before the Lord to prepare His ways; 77 to give to His people the knowledge of salvation by the forgiveness of their sins, 78 because of the tender mercy of our God, with which the Sunrise from on high will visit us, 79 to shine upon those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."
4. Trust The Process.
Luke 1:80 (NASB) And the child [John] continued to grow and to become strong in spirit, and he lived in the desert until the day of his public appearance to Israel.
Your process is handcrafted by God to help you grow, become strong, and lead you to Him.

Finding your story, in the Christmas Story.
Luke 1:5-7 (NASB)
In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah; and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6 They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord. 7 But they had no child because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years.

We trust you'll be encouraged by the guest ministry of Jonathan and Amy Claussen with goFam Ministries.
The goFam Mission is to awaken kingdom families into their identity as loved sons and daughters of the Father and release them into their uniqueness that will shape culture across the earth!
Their Vision is to touch and impact an excess of 1 million people annually with goFam messages, resources, and media by 2028.
As a ministry, they are; Motivated by love, Compelled by His voice, Rooted in honor, and Captivated by His presence.
Jesus not only came on a salvation mission but a restoration mission. He came to restore our identity as sons and daughters of the Father and to restore the original heart of the Father. We are motivated by the destiny given to family from the very beginning.
The First Great Commission says in Genesis 1:28, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth and subdue it.” It was the very first words spoken by the Creator to Adam and Woman.
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” This Second Great Commission was given by Jesus as the last words He physically released to the earth. Both are of great importance and have our complete attention!
The Second Great Commission didn't cancel the first!
The First Great Commission is called the “Cultural Mandate,” because families were created to set the culture. "As the family goes, so goes the culture," is a statement that has always been true and will always be true. Just as in the beginning, our families were created to demonstrate and reproduce the Father’s original heart and culture over the face of the earth.
There is no Plan B! Family is still the plan.
Each of our families have an enormous part to play - goFam ministries can help you learn how!

Ephesians 5:1 (NLT) Imitate God in everything you do [AMP - copy Him and follow His example] because you are his dear children.
(MSG) Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. [TPT - ...then you will represent your Father as His beloved sons and daughters.]
Children learn behavior patterns [good and bad] from watching their parents.
Sons of God learn kingdom behavior from witnessing the perfect example of their Heavenly Father.
To imitate God is a command and empowerment!
Independent: thinking or acting for oneself, not subject to another.
Interdependent: mutually dependent on each other.
God wants to do a unique work in you but you have to be willing to be one with Him
1 Corinthians 6:17 (NLT) The person who is joined [gkallao: to unite, to knit or weld, mingle or join together, to make two into one] to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
2 Corinthians 3:18 (AMP) All of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever-increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.
The more you behold Him, the more you will become like Him!
Romans 8:14-16 (NASB) All who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. 15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons [from two greek words 1. huiothesia from huios - complete and 2. tithemi: to place - The placing as a son] by which we cry out, " Abba! Father!" 16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of [one with] God.
(MSG) 16 God's Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who He is, and we know who we are: Father and children.
1 John 4:18-19 (NASB) There is no fear [g5401 phobos: to be put to flight, panic, terror] in [the] love; but [the] perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves [Lit. has] punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in [the] love. 19 We [we] love [Him], because He [He] first loved us.
Jeremiah 23:9-24 (NASB) Thus says the Lord, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; 24 but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the Lord.
Knowing Who You Are And Whose You Are Makes The Difference
Romans 8:14 (NASB) For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
As many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.
The mature children of God are those [the Greek is quite emphatic: “those and only those”] who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.
(NCV) The true children of God are those who let God's Spirit lead them.
Biblical maturity is not gauged by how much you know about God, but by how much you’re becoming like God by following His Holy Spirit.
Those who can be trusted to follow the Holy Spirit will be trusted with greater revelations from the Spirit.
Galatians 5:16-24 (NLT) Let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. THEN you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions... 19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results [fruits] are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension [contention, strife], division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God. 22 But the [desires of the] Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self- control... 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.
Romans 8:5-8 (NASB) Those who live according to [after the manner of, act in accordance with, in agreement with, conform to] the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, [set their minds on] the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Those who identify with their old nature cannot please [be agreeable with, seek to be like, fit together with] God.
Romans 8:13 (NASB) If you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds [passion and desires] of the body, you will live. 14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.
Hebrews 5:13-14 (NASB) Everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to [is inexperienced in] the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. 14 But solid food is for the mature [complete, perfect in character], who because of practice [habit of use] have their senses [organs of perception] trained [to exercise naked, disciplined] to discern [YLT - both] good and evil.
There are secrets that God will only reveal to those
who follow His Spirit in pursuit of being like Him.
1. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you
[Jesus said in John 16:13 the the HS would lead us into all the truth]
2. Ask yourself, “Which nature is trying to influence my actions?”
[You old nature apart from Christ or Your new nature in Christ?]
The old nature has to be crucified for the new nature to flourish - Galatians 5:24.
3. Practice Resistance
James 4:7-8 (NASB) Submit to [humble yourself before] God. Resist [stand against, oppose - opposite to] the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God [come close, join] and He will draw near to you.
Romans 8:18-23 (NASB) For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the anxious longing of the creation [intense anticipation, strained longing with outstretched neck] waits eagerly for [expects fully] the revealing [uncovering, manifestation, appearing] of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23 And not only this but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan [moan, sigh] within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.
Romans 8:19 (HCSB)
For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God's sons to be revealed.
Romans 8:19 (TPT) The entire universe is standing on tiptoe, yearning to see the unveiling of God’s glorious sons and daughters.
The World Is Waiting For Christ Within You!
Galatians 4:1-2 (NASB) Now I say, as long as the heir is a child, [nepios: an infant, simple-minded or immature] he does not differ at all from a slave although he is owner [authority; lord, master] of everything, 2 but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by the father.
(NLT) Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had. 2 They have to obey their guardians until they reach whatever age their father set.
You grow in how you speak [you learn to build up and not tear down]
You grow in how you think [you become more kingdom minded]
You grow in your reasoning [with an eternal perspective]
1. That God the Father wants them in His Forever Family!
John 1:12 (KJV) As many as received Him, to them He gave power [1849 Exousia: authority, the right - it refers to the right to exercise authority] to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.
That God wants to be their Forever Friend! - Share Hearts Together
John 15:12 (NASB) No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing (NLT) a master doesn't confide in his slaves. (MSG) servants don't understand what their master is thinking and planning; but I have called you friends [loved, dear] for all things that I have heard [and learned] from My Father I have made known to you.
That God is their Forever Helper! - Handle Burdens Together
1 Corinthians 3:9 (HCSB) We are God's coworkers. (AMP) We are fellow workmen (joint promoters, laborers together) with and for God.
The main role you have is that of a son or daughter of God
Mark 10:17-22 (NLT) As Jesus was starting out on His way to Jerusalem, a man [a rich young ruler] came running up to Him, knelt down, and asked, "Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit [get, obtain, have] eternal life?" 18 "Why do you call Me good?" Jesus asked. "Only God is truly good. 19 But to answer your question, you know the commandments: 'You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. You must not cheat anyone [love your neighbor as yourself]. Honor your father and mother. '" 20 "Teacher," the man replied, "I've obeyed all these commandments since I was young." 21 Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. "There is still one thing you haven't done," He told him. "Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me." 22 At this, the man's face [countainence] fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions.
(MSG) 21 Jesus looked him hard in the eye––and loved him! He said, "There's one thing left: Go sell whatever you own and give it to the poor. All your wealth will then be heavenly wealth. And come follow Me." 22 The man's face clouded over. This was the last thing he expected to hear, and he walked off with a heavy heart. He was holding on tight to a lot of things, and not about to let go.
The one thing that the rich young ruler was missing was sonship
You are not what you do, but what you do can be a reflection of how you see yourself
Pastor Larry Stockstill said, Fathering releases destiny, and until someone is fathered they will not fulfill their destiny.
Matthew 3:17 (NLT) "This is My dearly loved Son, who brings Me great joy."
1. A father gives Identity: You are my son
2. A father gives validity: I love you
3. A father gives affirmation: I am proud of you, I delight in you.
Matthew 17:5 (NLT) "This is My dearly loved Son, who brings Me great joy. Listen to him." Jesus is our perfect example of how to be a good son.
1. A good son listens for instruction
2. A good son delights in discipline
3. A good son knows there’s life in connecting hearts with his father.
4. A good son desires to please his father.
5. A good son is loyal to and consistent in the character of his father.
Psalm 2:7 (NASB) "I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, 'You are My Son, Today I have begotten You [today I have become your Father, Today is your birthday].
1 Kings 18:21 Elijah came near to all the people and said, “How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people did not answer him a word.
James 4:4-14 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”? But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.
Ephesians 6-18 Through all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the Spirit, and in regard to this same, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
Matthew 6:23 YLT None is able to serve two lords, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to the one, and despise the other; ye are not able to serve God and Mammon.
Marks Of A Master Builder:They finish what they start & have completed the process many times!
Luke 14:28-30 (NASB) For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it? 29 Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him, 30 saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish.
They accomplish things with less effort [it’s become a lifestyle].
They are able to build things on a larger scale.
They are experts at making the process simple and transferable.
It has been proven that “growth creates complexity and complexity kills growth.” Master Builders are skilled at getting the best results in the fewest steps.
They know that they can’t do it on their own.
[relationships are secret behind their success]
They teach others to do what they have done with the same results.
Romans 14:17-19 (NASB) For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 For he who in this way serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men. 19 So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another.
God created you to be a master at building up other people!
1 Corinthians 3:10 (NASB) According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it.
“The Lord gives authority for the purpose of building up not for tearing down or destroying.”
Jesus said He would show us how to connect with people so that we can connect people to Him.
The Father wants you to be a master at connecting with people.
The Father wants you to be a master at empowering people!
2 Timothy 2:2 (NASB) The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
The Father wants you to be a master at releasing people to go and multiply.
Winning The Day
1 Corinthians 9:24 (NASB) Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.
Matthew 6:34 (MSG) Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don't get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
Every day that you connect with God is a win.
"The way to win a war is to win more battles. And the way to win more battles is to win more days."
Matthew 6:33 (MSG) Steep your life in God–reality, God–initiative, God–provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.
Make it your lifelong goal to connect [really connect] with the Father every day!
“No matter what the day brings, if you touch Jesus - You Win!”
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NASB) Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways [manor of life, actions, conversation] acknowledge [h3045 yada; know] Him, and He will make your paths straight [and level].
Psalm 127:1-2 (NASB) Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain. 2 It is vain [emptiness] for you to rise up early, for you to retire late [Lit. delay sitting], for you to eat the bread of painful labors [Lit. toils]; for He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.

The Glory of God In The Wilderness
Exodus 40:34-35 (NASB) Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord [to be heavy, weighty, abundance, richness] filled [to fill, to be full, to overflow] the tabernacle. Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
The Glory of God In The Temple
2 Chronicles 5:11-14 (NASB) When the priests came forth from the holy place and all the Levitical singers and with them one hundred and twenty priests blowing trumpets in unison. When the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one voice to praise and to glorify the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the Lord saying, " He indeed is good for His lovingkindness is everlasting," then the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.
The Glory of God at Pentecost
Acts 2:1-4 (NLT) On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.

A powerful message from Amy Claussen with GoFam ministries.
You can find out more about their Ministry at https://www.gofam.org/
Amy shares how she grew up in a Christian home but carried an inner voice of assessment that had her feeling full of the fear of failure. She shares how she leaned into the voice of the Father and how the Holy Spirit led her to the truth of how loved she is. She learned how to ask the Holy Spirit for his assessment instead of herself. She found freedom and so can you.
You are loved!
Matthew 24:12-13 (NASB) Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love [Lit: the love of many] will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.
Psalm 92:12 (NASB) The [uncompromisingly] righteous man will flourish [Lit: sprout] like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful], He will grow [increase] like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible].
Are You Growing? Knowledge of God, Relationship w/ Holy Spirit, Sanctification, Calling?
[2 Peter 1:5-7 says, add to your faith [grow in], moral excellence, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, love] Verse 8-9 If these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neither useless nor unfruitful in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these qualities is blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his purification from his former sins.
Are You Flourishing? Flourish [Lit: sprout; to bud, shoot up, break forth; generally to spread; specifically to fly].
Are You Potted or Are You Planted?
Psalm 92:13 (NASB)
Planted in the house of the Lord [NLT: For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house], They flourish in the courts [yard] of God [Enclosure:
Colossians 2:7 (NLT)
Let your roots grow down into Him, and let your lives be built on Him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
Psalm 92:14-15 (NASB) They will still yield fruit in old age; They shall be full of sap and very green, 15 To declare that the Lord is upright [just, good]; He is my rock [you can trust Him with your life], and there is no unrighteousness [evil, darkness] in Him.
Hebrews 10:19-25 (NASB) Since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus… 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope [the timeless message] without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking [neglecting, avoiding, to stay away from, giving up on, desert, abandon] our own assembling [gathering, meeting, worshiping, church, a complete collection] together, as is the habit [custom, manner] of some, but encouraging one another [spurring each other on; admonishing, warning, urging]; and all the more as you see the day drawing near [the return of Christ].
Hebrews 10:25 [TPT] This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing, because we need each other. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.
Change What You Believe
Welcome to Spirit life.
Yes, we pursue his presence.
Every week isn't like this one, but we endeavor to always leave room for where God is leading us differently in a service.
Next week will resume "This is Church" Series.
It is so refreshing and encouraging to know that God knows and sees us. Today we were blessed to experience powerful words spoken over the lives of many of our attendees and Church Family. I would encourage those who these words pertain to, mark them down and keep them to remember what God has spoken over you!
Thank you again to Lois Baker Ministries for your ministry.
Matthew 21:12-13 (NLT) Jesus entered the Temple and began to drive out all the people buying and selling animals for sacrifice. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves. 13 He said to them, "The Scriptures declare, 'My Temple will be called a house of prayer,' but you have turned it into a den of thieves!"
TREASURE #1: PRAYER
TREASURE #2: HEALING
Matthew 21:14 (NLT) The blind and the lame came to him in the Temple, and He healed them.
TREASURE #3: JOY
Isaiah 56:7 (NLT) I will bring them to My holy mountain of Jerusalem and will fill them with joy [give them cause to rejoice] in My house of prayer. I will accept their burnt offerings and sacrifices because My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations
TREASURE #4: IT’S FOR EVERYONE
TREASURE #5: DIRECTION
Luke 19:47-48 (NASB) Jesus was teaching daily in the temple but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people were trying to destroy Him [His message], ... for all the people were hanging* on to every word He said
TREASURE #6: PASSION
John 2:13-17 (NASB) The Passover was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And He found in the temple those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers seated at their tables. 15 And He made a scourge of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; 16 and to those who were selling the doves He said, "Take these things away; stop making My Father's house a place of business." 17 His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal [to boil, be hot; passion, jealousy] for Your house will consume me."
1 Peter 2:9-10 (MSG) You are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God's instruments to do His work and speak out for Him, to tell others of the night–and–day difference He made for you–– 10 from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.
Ephesians 1:22 (NLT)
God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him head over all things for the benefit of the church. 23 And the church is His body; it is made full and complete by Christ, He fills all things everywhere with Himself.
2 Timothy 2:19 (NASB)
The firm foundation of God stands, having this seal [signet, stamp - a mark of privacy or proof], "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain [to lead away, to depart from] from wickedness [unrighteousness]."
1 Corinthians 3:11-13 (NLT) No one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid - Jesus Christ. 12 Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials - gold, silver, jewels [eternal things], wood, hay, or straw [temporal things]. 13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person's work has any value. [Illustration: few, rare, valuable]
2 Timothy 2:20 (NASB) In a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels [eternal things], but also vessels of wood and of earthenware [temporal things], and some to honor [used for special occasions and special purposes] and some to dishonor [for common use and ordinary jobs].
2 Timothy 2:21 (NASB)
Therefore, if anyone CLEANSES himself from these things [vrs. 16-18 things that turn others away from faith in Christ], he will be a vessel for honor, SANCTIFIED, USEFUL to the Master, PREPARED for every good work.
The process of being cleaned, pruned, and purged creates a vessel for honor.
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 (NLT) Don't you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? 17 God will destroy anyone who destroys [5351 Phtheiro: corrupt, spoil] this temple. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.
You were created on purpose for a purpose!
God has given you a unique purpose to make a divine difference!
Living ready keeps you fit for what God does next!
CHURCH: [g1577 Ekklesia] an assembly, a congregation, those called out.
Matthew 16:13-14 (NASB) [First Mention of Church in the New Testament]
Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" 14 And they said, "Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets."
Matthew 16:15 (NASB) Jesus said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"
Matthew 16:16 (NASB) Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ [the Messiah, the anointed One], the Son of the living God."
Matthew 16:17-18 (NASB) Jesus said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona [son of John], because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, My Father who is in heaven did. I also say to you that you are Peter [Petros: a stone], and upon this rock [Petra: a large rock; bed-rock] I will build My church; and the gates of Hell will not overpower it.
1. The Revelation & Confession of Jesus as Christ is the Foundation of the Church
2. The Church Belongs to Christ
I will Build: [to build a house; a house builder, to construct, confirm, edify, embolden]
Psalm 127:1 (NASB) Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. [NLT - the work of the builders is wasted]
Proverbs 24:3-4 (MSG) It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set it on a firm foundation; It takes knowledge to furnish its rooms with fine furniture and beautiful draperies.
Matthew 16:18 ...Upon the revelation of Who I Am, I will build My church; and the gates of Hell will not overpower it.
3. Jesus Built His Church To Last
4. The Church Is Responsible For The Keys Of The Kingdom
Matthew 16:19 (NLT) I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven [power & authority to open or shut: responsibility & accountability]. Whatever you forbid [bind, tie up, or lock] on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit [loose, open, or release] on earth will be permitted in heaven."
Luke 11:52 (MSG) Woe to you experts of the law! You took [removed, held back] the key of knowledge [to come to know, recognize, perceive], but instead of unlocking doors, you locked them. You won't go in yourself, and won't let anyone else in either.
1 Kings 15:5 (NASB)
David did what was right in the sight of the Lord, and had not turned aside from anything that God commanded him all the days of his life, except [the one time] in the case [affair, error, death, - a question or problem of moral conduct] of Uriah the Hittite.
11 Uriah replied, “The Ark and the armies of Israel and Judah are living in tents, and Joab and my master’s men are camping in the open fields. How could I go home to wine and dine and sleep with my wife? I swear that I would never do such a thing.”
2 Samuel 12:7-14 (NLT) Nathan said to David, “You are that man! The Lord, the God of Israel, says: I anointed you king of Israel and I saved you from the power of Saul. 8 I gave you your master’s house and his wives and the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. And if that had not been enough, I would have given you much, much more. 9 Why, then, have you despised the word of the Lord and done this horrible deed? For you have murdered Uriah the Hittite with the sword of the Ammonites and stolen his wife.10 From this time on, your family will live by the sword because you have despised me by taking Uriah’s wife to be your own. 11 “This is what the Lord says: Because of what you have done, I will cause your own household to rebel against you. I will give your wives to another man before your very eyes, and he will go to bed with them in public view. 12 You did it secretly, but I will make this happen to you openly in the sight of all Israel.” 13 Then David confessed to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” Nathan replied, “Yes, but the Lord has forgiven you, and you won’t die for this sin. 14 Nevertheless, because you have shown utter contempt for the word of the Lord by doing this, your child will die.”
He took a break from his responsibilities
2 Samuel 11:1 (NLT) In the spring of the year, when kings normally go out to war, David stayed behind in Jerusalem. [the Ark was in the camp]
He despised the Word [command] of the Lord
He took little thought for the future
A Mighty Man is submitted to God
A Mighty Man is committed to the mission
2 Samuel 11:10-11 (NLT) Why didn’t you go home last night after being away for so long?” Uriah replied, “The Ark [God’s presence] and the armies of Israel and Judah [my people] are living in tents, and Joab [my leader] and my master’s men [my family] are camping in the open fields. How could I go home to wine and dine and sleep with my wife? I swear that I would never do such a thing.”
A Mighty Man knows he’s been entrusted with a message
A Mighty Man is faithful to the end
Psalm 26:3 (NLT)
I am always aware of your unfailing love, and I have lived according to your truth.
Psalm 25:10 (NKJV) All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.
Psalm 86:15 (AMP) But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness and truth.
Psalm 40:11 (AMP) ...Let Your loving- kindness and Your truth continually preserve me!
Proverbs 16:6 (AMP) By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for, And by the fear of the Lord one keeps away from evil.
Exodus 34:6 (NASB) Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in loving kindness and truth.
Proverbs 3:3 (AMP) Do not let kindness and truth leave you;(instead let these qualities define you) Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart.
Psalm 91:15 (NASB) "He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
John 17:17” Make them holy by your truth, your word is the truth.”
The first thing we must understand about truth is that God is the determiner of the truth of what is right and what is wrong. To grow in truth we must come to God as the student understand He is the teacher.
Isaiah 55:8-9 for my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than yours”
I Am Equipped
Ephesians 6:10-11 (NASB) Finally, be strong [g1743 endunamoo - to empower] in the Lord and in the strength [dominion] of His might [ability].
1. Our God Is Mighty
Ephesians 6:11 (NASB) Put on [be clothed with] the full armor of God, so that you will be able [have the power] to stand firm [abide, hold up, continue] against [toward] the schemes [g3180 methodia - craft, deceit] of the devil [slanderer, false accuser].
We are commanded to put on God’s armor!
God’s armor empowers us to stand against the devils methods!
Without God’s armor we will not hold up!
2. We Have A Powerful Enemy
Ephesians 6:12 (NLT) We are not fighting against [our struggle is not with] flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and against authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers [world forces] in this dark world, and against evil spirits [spiritual forces of wickedness] in the heavenly places.
(TPT) Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage.
Revelation 12:9 further expounds on who he is saying; “He is the great dragon. He was the serpent, the ancient snake called the devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world.”
Ephesians 6:13 (NLT) Therefore [because you have an enemy like this], put on [clothe yourself with] every piece of God's armor [the full armor of God] so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle, you will still be standing firm [in God’s strength]. [James 4:7 says to submit-resist]
Assail: to attack physically and violently; to assault, to leap on, to attack with arguments, questions, and doubts. [Isa. 54:17 promise - No weapon will prosper]
3. God Has Equipped Us To Defeat Our Enemy
Put on Truth
Put on Righteousness
Put on Peace
Hold up God’s Faith
Put on Salvation
Take the Word of God
Stay Alert with Pray
I Am A Reflection
Ephesians 5:1-2 (NLT) Imitate [reflect] God in everything you do [g3402 mimetes (mimic) copy in action, speech, simulate, resemble closely] because you are his dear children. 2 Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.
God Wants Your Life To Be A Reflection Of His Life!
You Reflect God’s Life Through Your Actions And Conversations!
Ephesians 5:3-7 (NLT) Let there be no sexual immorality [fornication], impurity [uncleanness], or greed [advantage] among you. Such sins have no place among God's people. 4 Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. [TPT - Guard your speech. Forsake obscenities and worthless insults; these are nonsensical words that bring disgrace and are unnecessary. Instead, let worship fill your heart and spill out in your words]. 5 You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. 6 Don't be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins [NASB - Let no one deceive you with empty words - devoid of truth], for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey Him. 7 Don't participate in the things these people do [be partakers with, share in].
You Reflect God’s Life When You Choose To Shine In The Dark!
Ephesians 5:8-14 (TPT) Once your life was full of sin’s darkness, but now you have the very light of our Lord shining through you because of your union with Him. Your mission is to live as children flooded with His revelation-light! 9 And the supernatural fruits of His light will be seen in your—goodness, righteousness, and truth. 10 Then you will learn to choose what is beautiful to our Lord. 11 Don’t even associate with the servants of darkness because they have no fruit in them; instead, reveal the truth to them. 12 The very things they do in secret are too vile and filthy to even mention. 13 Whatever the revelation-light exposes, it will also correct, and everything that reveals the truth is light to the soul. 14 This is why the Scripture says, “Awake, you sleeper! Rise up from the dead and the Anointed One will shine His light into you!”
You Reflect God’s Life When You Live Your Life For His Purpose!
Ephesians 5:15-16 (NLT) Be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days [TPT - Take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for His purposes].
Ephesians 5:17-20 (TPT) Don’t live foolishly for then you will have the discernment to fully understand God’s will [God’s purpose for you]. 18 Don’t get drunk with wine, which is rebellion; instead, be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit. 19 And your hearts will overflow with a joyful song to the Lord Jehovah. Keep speaking to each other with words of Scripture, singing the Psalms with praises and spontaneous songs [make songs] given by the Spirit! 20 Always give thanks to Father God…
Ephesians 5:21 (TPT) Out of your reverence for Christ be supportive of each other in love [be subject to, submit to, place or rank yourself under].
Vr 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
Vr 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church.
Vr 32 (TPT) Marriage is the beautiful design of the Almighty, a great and sacred mystery—meant to be a vivid example [reflection] of Christ and his church.
Ephesians 6:1-4 (NLT) Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. 2 "Honor your father and mother." This is the first commandment with a promise: 3 If you honor your father and mother, "things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth." 4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them [Correct, do not punish. Punishment is from a principle of revenge; correction is from a principle
I Am Called
Ephesians 4:1 (NASB) Therefore I, [Paul] the prisoner of the Lord, implore you [beg, plead, to call to] to walk [tread all around - as proof of ability, to regulate one’s life] in a manner worthy [worthily, of weight, of worth] of the calling with which you have been called [to call in a loud voice, to invite, to name by name].
1. You Are Called To Kingdom Living!
Kingdom living doesn’t make you better than other people. It Makes You Better Than Yourself!
Ephesians 4:2 (NASB) ...with all humility [lowliness of mind] and gentleness [not occupied with self, considering others first], with patience [endurance, steadfastness, long-suffering], showing tolerance [putting up with] for one another in love [especially toward those who may try your patience]. [This is now possible because of Christ & His indwelling Spirit]
2. You Are Called To Kingdom Unity!
Ephesians 4:3 (NASB) Be diligent [make hast, effort, labour, study] to preserve [watch over, guard from loss or injury] the unity [oneness, of undivided opinion] of the Spirit in the bond [binding, a joint tie - ligament] of peace.
Ephesians 4:4-6 (NASB) There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.
3. You Are Called To Grow God’s Kingdom!
Ephesians 4:7,11-16 (NASB) But to each one of us grace was given [gifts, abilities, divine enablements] according to the measure of Christ's gift.
11 He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints [to get ready, prepare, complete, make perfect] for the work of service [ministry, mission], to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain [arrive] to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. 14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working [measure, operation, efficiency] of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
4. You Are Called To Show God’s Kingdom!
Ephesians 4:17-32 (NLT) With the Lord's authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles [unbelievers] do, for they are hopelessly confused. 18 Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against Him. 19 They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity.
20 But that isn't what you learned about Christ. 21 Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from Him, 22 throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. 23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. 25 So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. 26 And "don't sin by letting anger control you." Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 for anger gives a foothold to the devil. 28 If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need. 29 Don't use foul or abusive language [hateful words]. Let everything you say be good and helpful [as beautiful gifts], so that your words will be an encouragement [empowerment] to those who hear them.
30 And do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live
1. You Are Loved!
Ephesians 3:1-11 (NLT) [The apostle Paul said] I briefly wrote earlier, God Himself revealed His mysterious plan to me. 4 As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan [divine revelation, secret] regarding Christ. 5 God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by His Spirit, He has revealed it to His holy apostles and prophets. 6 And this is God's plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God's children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus. 7 By God's grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving Him by spreading this Good News. 8 Though I am the least deserving of all God's people, He graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ. 9 I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning. 10 God's purpose in all this was to use the church to display His wisdom in its rich variety to all the unseen rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. 11 This was His eternal plan, which He carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord.
2. You Always Belong!
Ephesians 3:12 (NASB) In Christ we have boldness [all, assurance] and confident access [trusted, free admission] through faith in Him.
(NLT) Because of Christ’s faithfulness, we can now come boldly and confidently into God's presence.
Ephesians 3:14 (NLT) When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father.
3. God’s Love Never Ends!
Ephesians 3:16-19 (TPT) I pray that God would unveil within you the unlimited riches of His glory and favor until supernatural strength floods your innermost being with His divine might and explosive power. 17 Then, by constantly using your faith, the life of Christ will be released deep inside you, and the resting place of His love will become the very source and root of your life [you’ll be rooted and grounded in His love]. 18–19 Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is His love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God!
4. God’s Love Takes The Limits Off!
Ephesians 3:20 (NLT) All glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
(TPT) Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energizes you.
”I Am Alive”: April 28, 2019
Ephesus Series - Pastor Jeff Ferguson
Ephesians 1:3 (NASB) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
In Christ, I AM Chosen - Adopted - Forgiven - Valuable - Marked.
1. You Were Dead!
Ephesians 2:1 (NLT)
Once you were dead because [by reason] of your disobedience and your many sins.
Ephesians 2:2-3 (NLT) You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. 3 All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very [sinful, fallen] nature, we were subject to God's anger [children of wrath], just like everyone else.
2. God Made You Alive
Ephesians 2:4-6 (NLT) But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!) 6 For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 1:20-21 (NLT) God raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at His right hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now He is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.
3. You Are God’s Masterpiece!
Ephesians 2:8-10 (NLT) For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
“You Were Created On Purpose For A Purpose!” - Chris Hodges
So we can do the things He planned for us... [Eph. 2:10]
Titus 2:14 (NLT) He [Christ] gave His life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us His very own people, totally committed to [zealous - most eagerly desirous of] doing good [beautiful] deeds [acts of service].
God created and saved you for the very purpose of doing good [God] works!
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT) God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. [BUT we can boast about God!]
REMEMBER [don’t forget] You Were!
Separated from Christ! [empty]
Excluded from the Commonwealth [citizenship, community] of Israel’s blessing!
Strangers [foreigners] to the covenant promises!
You lived in this world without hope and without God!
You have been brought near to God - through the blood of Christ!
You have access to the Father through the Spirit of promise!
You are no longer strangers and aliens but citizens of heaven!
You have become God’s house, His dwelling place!
”I Am Blessed”
Psalm 103:2 (NASB) Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none [not one of all] of His benefits
“What a world this would be if we could forget our troubles as easily as we forget our blessings.” (unknown author)
“God is more anxious to bestow His blessings on us than we are to receive them.”Augustine of Hippo
Matthew:5:1-11 (NASB) Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the humble, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who’ve been persecuted for the sake of righteousness; theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me.
Jesus told His disciples, “Blessed are you… because of [on account of] Me.”
You can be happy because of favorable circumstances, but you can only be “BLESSED” because of Christ.
The safest place in the world to be is In Christ.
Ephesians 1:3 (NASB) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ [because we are united with Christ].
1. I Am Chosen
Ephesians 1:4 (NLT) Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes.
2. I Am Adopted
Ephesians 1:5 (NLT) God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.
3. I Am Forgiven
Ephesians 1:7 (NASB) In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.
4. I Am Valuable
Ephesians 1:11 (NLT)Because we are in Christ, we have received an inheritance from God.
5. I Am Marked
Ephesians 1:13-14 (NASB) After listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation having also believed, you were sealed [stamped] in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance
You can be happy for a moment without Christ, but you can only be blessed In Him!
Working With God
We are God's fellow workers
Billy Graham said, "The evangelistic harvest is always urgent. The destiny of men and of nations is always being decided. Every generation is strategic. We are not responsible for the past generation, and we cannot bear the full responsibility for the next one, but we do have our generation. God will hold us responsible as to how well we fulfill our responsibilities to this age and take advantage of our opportunities."
Our Work is to believe in God’s Word!
Mark 16:20 (NIV) The disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed His word by the signs that accompanied it.
Isaiah 55:8-11 (NLT) My thoughts [intentions, plans, work, purpose] are nothing like your thoughts [intentions, plans, work, purpose], says the Lord. And My ways [manner, actions, conversation] are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts. 10 The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. 11 It is the same with My word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit [it will not return to Me empty]. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper [succeeding] everywhere I send it.
1. You Have To See God’s Word As The Answer?
Jeremiah 1:11-12 (NASB) The word of the Lord came to me saying, "What do you see, Jeremiah?" And I said, "I see a rod of an almond tree [shaqed]." 12 Then the Lord said to me, "You have seen well, for I am watching [shaqad - watching, waking, hastening, anticipating; to be sleepless, alert, vigilant; on the lookout] over My word to perform it."
2 Chronicles 16:9 (MSG) God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to Him.
2. You Have To Agree With & Confess God’s Word With Your Mouth?
Hebrews 4:12 says God’s word is living and active and sharper than a two-edged [double mouthed] sword.
Matthew 6:31, 33 (NASB) Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat? ' or 'What will we drink? ' or 'What will we wear for clothing? ' 33 Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness [God’s way of doing things], and all these things will be added to you.
The way God works through us and in our lives is by His Word through our lips.
When you speak God’s Word your confession releases His Voice in the earth.
3. You Have To Continue To Believe That God Will Fulfill His Word!
Ezekiel 37:1-12 (NLT) [The Valley of Dry Bones]
The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones. 2 He led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out [in scripture bones speak of inner strength]. 3 Then He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones become living people again?" "O Sovereign Lord," I replied, "you alone know the answer to that." 4 Then He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say, 'Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again! 6 I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.'" 7 So I spoke this message, just as He told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons. 8 Then as I watched, muscles and flesh formed over the bones. Then skin formed to cover their bodies, but they still had no breath in them. 9 Then He said to me, "Prophesy to the winds, son of man. Speak a prophetic message and say, 'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again. '"
You are not a victim
We are made in the image of God
Genesis 1:26-28 (NLT) Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the Ground.” So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Psalm 139:13-17 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!
Healing comes from within
Jeremiah 33:6 Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.
John 10:10 (NLT) The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
Everything that has life, was given to Man for food.
Eat God made Food, not Man Made Food
We were created to move.

2. Eat God Made food, not man-made food
3. Move your body

God’s Kingdom Is Coming
(TPT) Manifest Your kingdom realm [come and begin your kingdom reign], and cause Your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is fulfilled in heaven.
(MSG) His ruling authority will grow, and there'll be no limits to the wholeness He brings.
If God’s Kingdom Is Ever Increasing,
Then Our Faith Should Ever Be Increasing as well.
Faith Is How You Tap Into Heaven’s Resources &
How You Release Those Resources Onto The Earth.
There are 3 categories to lies that hinder our faith!
1. Lies that you believe about God.
2. Lies that you believe about yourself.
3. Lies that you believe about others.
Lies First Mentioned In Scripture: Numbers 23:19 God is not a man that He should lie [be a liar].
Hebrews 8:16 Says, ...it is impossible for God to lie.
Lies first in regards to Satan:
John 8:44 Satan does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
You Are Influenced By What You Believe The Most!
Romans 1:18-20 (NASB) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power, and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
You Can Have Faith & Unbelief At The Same Time!
Mark 9:17-25,28 (NASB)
Teacher, I brought You my son, possessed with a spirit which makes him mute [speechless]; 18 and whenever it seizes him, it slams him to the ground and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth and stiffens out. I told Your disciples to cast it out, and they could not do it. 19 And He answered them and said, "O unbelieving (or perverted) generation, [to distort, misinterpret, corrupt] how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me! 20 They brought the boy to Him. When he saw Him, immediately the spirit threw him into a convulsion, and falling to the ground, he began rolling around and foaming at the mouth. 21 And He asked his father, "How long has this been happening to him?" And he said, "From childhood. 22 It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!" 23 And Jesus said to him If You can!? All things are possible to him who believes. 24 Immediately the boy's father cried out and said, I do believe; help my unbelief. 25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering, He rebuked the unclean [impure] spirit, saying to it, You deaf and mute spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again. - 28 When He came into the house, His disciples began questioning Him privately, Why could we not drive it out?
The gospel of Matthew 17:20-21 records that answer this way; Because of the littleness of your faith [faithlessness, not fully persuaded, lacking confidence]; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible to you. 21 [ But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.]
By God’s design - People Need People.
Offenses Cause A Disconnect in Relationships
Matthew 18:7 (NKJV) Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must [will] come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!
Matthew 16:23 (NASB) Jesus said to Peter, Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block [an offense] to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's.
God Wants Us To Learn To Live Above Offense!
1. Void of offense toward God.
Luke 7:23 (NASB) Blessed is he who does not take offense at Me
2. Void of offense toward Men.
Luke 17:3-5 (NASB) Be on your guard! If your brother sins [offends you], rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he sins against you [offends you] seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent, 'forgive him." 5 The apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith.
Jesus was teaching us to live with an attitude of forgiveness.
1. We Offend With Our Words
2. We Offend With Our Actions
Mark 7:20-21 says, “Words and deeds pollute a person… Evil originates from inside a person and come out of the human heart…”
Offenses Bring Contention But Love Creates Connection
1. We Love With Our Words
2. We Love By Our Actions
1 Peter 3:8-9 (TPT) This is the goal: to live in harmony with one another and demonstrate affectionate love, sympathy, and kindness toward other believers. Let humility describe who you are as you dearly love one another. 9 Never retaliate when someone treats you wrongly, nor insult those who insult you, but instead, respond by speaking a blessing over them - because a blessing is what God promised to give you.
One of the things in your life that will continually need rescued is your relationships.
Relationships are all about connection.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NLT) Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble [Encouragement]. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone [Closeness]? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer [Value]. Three are even better, for a triple- braided cord is not easily broken.
A Relationship Is A Living Thing And It Needs Continual Nurturing Or It Will Die!
The First Relationship That Needs Rescued And Continually Rescued:
Your Relationship With God!
2 Things That Are Necessary To Have A Healthy Connection With God!
1. Time With God In His Word!
Read On A Plan.
1 John 5:14-15 (NASB) This is the confidence [boldness] which we have toward Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.
2. Time With God In Prayer!
Pray On A Track
The 4 Pillars of Prayer!
Psalm 100:4-5 (NASB) Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting, and His faithfulness to all generations.
Check Your Love Life [Gal. 5:6 - Faith works by love]
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NLT) Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
The Ministry of the Holy Spirit: Isaiah 11:2 Wisdom [order]; Understanding [vision]; Counsel [for godly decisions]; Might [energy]; Knowledge [know how]; The fear of the Lord [integrity]
The Nature of the Holy Spirit:Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT) Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
The Guidance of the Holy Spirit:John 16:13 He will guide you into all the truth and show you things to come.

1. Temptation Doesn't Come From God - It Comes From Unsubmitted Desires!
James 1:13-16 (TPT) When you are tempted don’t ever say, God is tempting me, For God is incapable of being tempted by evil and He is never the source of temptation. 14 Instead it is each person’s own desires and thoughts [Lust: passionate longings] that [entice them] drag them into evil and lure them away into darkness. 15 Evil desires [Lust: passionate longings] give birth to evil actions [sin]. And when sin is fully mature [allowed to grow] it can murder you! 16 So my friends, don’t be fooled by your own desires.
2. You Have To Master Your Desires!
1 John 2:15-17 (NSAB) Do not love [agapao] the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves [agapao] the world, the love [agape] of the Father is not in him.
A. The Lust of the Flesh: a craving for physical pleasure
B. The Lust of the Eyes: a craving for everything we see
C. The Boastful Pride of Life: pride in our achievements and possessions
3. The Only Way To Master Your Desires Is To Submit Them To The Word of God!
James 1:22 (NLT) Don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. [you delude and betray yourself into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth].
Hebrews 4:12 [AMP] For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and [all] effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, [g1366 di-stomos: double-mouthed] penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
Being Rescued Is A One Time Event & A Continual Process!
Galatians 4:19 (NLT) Oh, my dear children! I feel as if I'm going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives.
Romans 6:10-11 (NLT) When He [Jesus] died, He died once to break the power of sin. But now that He lives, He lives for the glory of God. 11 So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.
1. Everyone’s Faith Gets Tested!
1 Corinthians 10:13
(NLT) The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience…
2. You Have To Pass The Test To Get To What Comes Next!
James 1:12 (NASB) Blessed is a man who perseveres [endures] under trial; for once he has been approved [passes the test], he will receive the crown [authority] of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
3. God Is Faithful!
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT/NASB) The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful…
1. He will not allow you to be tempted [tested] beyond what you are able!
2. With the temptation He will provide the way of escape [an exit, a door], so that you will be able to endure.
Rescue My City P2 - Whatever It Takes
Proverbs 24:11-12 (NASB) Deliver those who are being taken away to death, And those who are staggering to slaughter, Oh hold them back. If you say, "See, we did not know this," Does He not consider it who weighs the hearts? And does He not know it who keeps your soul? And will He not render to man according to his work.
1. Count The Cost!
Luke 14:28-29 (TPT) Don’t follow me without considering what it will cost you. For who would construct a house before first sitting down to estimate the cost to complete it? 29 Otherwise he may lay the foundation and not be able to finish.
2. Carry The Cross!
Luke 9:23-24 (TPT) If you truly desire to be my disciple, you must disown your life completely, embrace My ‘cross’ as your own, and surrender to My ways. 24 For if you choose self-sacrifice, giving up your lives for My glory, you will embark on a discovery of more and more of true life. But if you choose to keep your lives for yourselves, you will lose what you try to keep.
3. Seek The Lost!
Matthew 10:8 (NASB)
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.
(TPT) You must continually bring healing to lepers and to those who are sick, and make it your habit to break off the demonic presence from people, and raise the dead back to life. Freely you have received the power of the kingdom, so freely release it to others.
John 4:35 (TPT) As the crowds emerged from the village, Jesus said to his disciples, Why would you say, The harvest is another four months away? Look at all the people coming - now is harvest time! For their hearts are like vast fields of ripened grain—ready for a spiritual harvest.
Everyone Needs Rescued!
Colossians 1:13-14 (NASB) For He rescued us from the domain [authority] of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son [a kingdom of light], in whom we have redemption [deliverance], the forgiveness of sins.
You Are A Shining Light In A World Of Sin And Darkness
Proverbs 24:10-12 (NASB) If you [relax] are slack - in the day of distress, Your strength is limited. Deliver those who are being taken away to death, And those who are staggering to slaughter, Oh hold them back. If you say, "See, we did not know this," Does He not consider it who weighs the hearts? And does He not know it who keeps your soul? And will He not render to man according to his work.
Leonard Ravenhill - “Could a mariner sit idle if he heard the drowning cry? Could a doctor sit in comfort and just let his patients die? Could a fireman sit idle, let men burn and give no hand? Can you sit at ease in Zion with the world around you DAMNED?”
You Are A Rescue Boat In The Flood Waters Of Life
Proverbs 24:10-12 (TPT) If you faint when under pressure, you have need of courage. Go and rescue the perishing! Be their savior! Why would you stand back and watch them stagger to their death? And why would you say, “But it’s none of my business”? The One who knows you completely and judges your every motive is also the keeper of souls, and not just yours! He sees through your excuses and holds you responsible for failing to help those whose lives are threatened.
An Excuse is a skin of reason stuffed with a lie.

3 Areas Where Satan Tries To Steal Your Super Suit:
1. Righteousness - I’m Made Right [Life To Live Right]
Romans 1:16-17 (NLT) For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. 17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life.
2 Corinthians 5:21 (NASB) He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him [Christ Jesus]
2. Peace - [I’m Forgiven & Favored]
Romans 5:1-2 (NLT) Since we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory.
3. Joy - I’m Filled & Empowered
Isaiah 12:2-3 (NKJV) Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation. 3 Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
Put On Your Super Suit!

Luke 2:1-20 (TPT)
Who Turned On The Lights?
Matthew 2:1-2 (NASB) Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, 2 Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.
Numbers 24:17 (NLT) I see him, but not here and now. I perceive him, but far in the distant future. A star will rise from Jacob; a scepter will emerge from Israel.
2 Peter 1:19 (NASB) We have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.
Matthew 2:9-11 (TPT) So they left, and on their way to Bethlehem, suddenly the same star [light] they had seen in the East reappeared! Amazed, they watched as it went ahead of them and stopped directly over the place where the child was. 10 And when they saw the star, they were so ecstatic that they shouted and celebrated with unrestrained joy. 11 When they came into the house and saw the young child with Mary, his mother, they were overcome. Falling to the ground at his feet they worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure boxes full of gifts and presented him with gold, frank-incense, and myrrh.
There Are 3 Treasures Mentioned In Our Story:
1. Mary’s Treasure 2. The Wise Men’s Treasure 3. God’s Treasure “Christ”
Treasures & Hearts Are Always Connected
Matthew 6:19-21 (NASB) Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Your heart is the box that holds your treasures.
If You Open Your Heart To Christ And Give Him The Treasure Of Your Life,
God Will Fill Your Life With The Treasure Of Who He Is!!!
