Episode 84: Need To or Want To
How much of your life is based on need versus want?
Do you truly enjoy your life or are you still living a life that is based on necessity and other people?
What if it's possible to shift the imbalance and not just wait for things to be painful?
Join me in today's episode where I talk about the difference between need and want and how to find balance between the two. It doesn't have to be scary or hard.

Episode 83: Grief
Grief is meant to be a contained experience, not a life long process. The major pain needs to be felt and released instead of identified with.
In this episode, I talk about grief, how to keep it contained, and what the process can look like when awareness is brought to it and it is better understood.

Having made a very firm choice to heal and move forward no matter what has made all the difference in my ability to keep going on this journey. I have a lot of drive and determination that I use to push myself forward regularly. Do you have that for yourself? Are you willing to do that for yourself? Let's talk about it.
In today's episode I'm talking about making that firm choice to heal along with how to manage some of the challenges that come up along the way. Tune in and let me know what you think.

Episode 81: Unhook Yourself
We get taught to let the outside world affect us, whether it needs to or not. It is one of my missions in life to help stop this cycle of permanent unhappiness that people are in because they cannot disconnect from the chaos around them.
In this episode, I'm showing you how to begin to disconnect from some of the chaos around you without blocking everything out or never caring about anything or anyone again. What I'm showing you is that disconnecting doesn't mean not caring, it just means we show we care differently. Come have a listen to learn more.

Episode 80: Why We Overreact
People overreact and blow things out of proportion all the time. it's a common human thing to do.
In this episode, I'm talking about why we do these things and how to stop ourselves from doing them. Yes, it takes a little bit of work but learning how to manage and accept your own behavior is an important part of the healing process.

Episode 79: Biology and Gender identity
Biology is the body parts you're born with. Gender identity is how you dress up the body. The two are not nor should they ever be connected to each other.
Listen in as I talk about these concepts and why they need to be separate from each other.
We need to make it okay for people to be who they are without worries about labels and body parts!

Episode 77: Accepting the Shift
Today was kind of a catch-up episode talking about all the things that have shifted in the last couple of weeks and where that's led me. it's been a fascinating journey that as always, I love to share with you in as many ways as I can.
The whole point of all this is to give you permission to shift. It's okay to change it up and do your own thing. Allow your life to change around you. You'll be so surprised what happens when you do that and you'll find it's not nearly as scary as your brain would have you believe. The world does not fall apart when you change things, it actually comes together beautifully.

Episode 75: Self Love
Self-love was a by-product of a bigger healing journey for me on this path. Healing was a survival mechanism for me at the time. It was a means to an end. I had external goals and I understood that healing would get me those goals, so I did it. If self-love had been my first goal, I probably wouldn't have bothered healing because I would have seen it as a sidetrack or a distraction.
If self-love is an issue for you listen in and let me know what you think.

Episode 74: Overcoming Doubt
I'm working through some doubt that's come up in the last few days and it's giving me a hard time. The doubt is coming up around a new cycle in my life that is trying to come in. I'm unsure of the future like everybody else, and it's creating some doubt around whether I can trust this new experience or not. Am I okay on my own? Can I take responsibility for myself?
So, if doubt is a thing for you listen in and let me know what you think. I'd love to hear from you!

Episode 72: The Story of Hopelessness
Hopelessness. We all feel this at some point in our lives, some more deeply than others. Do you feel hopeless? If you do take heart and have a listen to this episode.
I've been in a feeling of hopelessness for many years because of repeated failure due to karmic cycles I hadn't broken yet. After breaking those cycles, I continued to hang onto the hopeless, which continued to perpetuate the cycle. I spent the last few days understanding myself and the hopelessness I felt and now I'm sharing what I've learned from that experience.

Episode 71: Having the Courage to Take the Leap
Today's podcast is a summary of my life for the last few days as I've been breaking patterns and stories. I'm talking about having the courage and confidence to make those leaps with ease and not freak yourself out.
If you're struggling with making a leap for yourself, no matter how big or small, this will help you get up the oomph you need to do it. You will be okay. You can handle it. It will work out! Trust yourself.

Episode 70: Drop It Already
The argument we have with ourselves looks like fear, insecurity, doubt, worry about other people, not giving ourselves permission, and complaining about the problem with it. We focus far too much on what's wrong with what we want to do instead of just allowing ourselves to do it.
In this episode, we talk all about the argument and the fear and how to get the heck out of that so that we can move on with our lives. This is all about allowing ourselves to be happy and be okay in our lives. You get to do that for yourself and you don't need permission to do it.

I'm in a transition. My name has changed. You're not losing it. You didn't miss anything. The branding got an update and so did the intro and outro. I hope you enjoy them!
In this episode, I'm explaining what's going on and why. I'm also hopefully giving you permission to free yourself to be who you are as well. My goal is to be as authentic and real with you as I can and this is part of it.
So, come along with me on my journey with a new identity and let me know what you think.

Episode 68: Jumping in The Mud
Today I wanted to share my experience of playing in that proverbial mud puddle. What happens when we find ourselves mad, upset, and frustrated with the journey? What do we do when we feel like we're stuck in a loop and unable to get out?
Listen in to find out how I handled that yesterday and gain some clarity on how you can handle it for yourself. You don't have to stay stuck. Don't unpack and live there. It's okay to hang out temporarily, but recognize that you're just moving through and allow yourself to do that.

Episode 67: Creating a Concrete Process
I have all these great concepts, ideas, and ways of managing the healing process that allows us to move forward. Now I'm trying to put them together in a book that is more concrete and I'm struggling!
In this episode, I'm talking about that struggle and even some of the concepts that have come up, like what to do with pain when it inevitably shows up. It's another trip into my thinking (scary I know) that I'm hoping will offer other creators some hope knowing that they aren't alone. The creative journey is a maze of twists and turns. It is never a straight line. The idea is just to keep going knowing that you'll get there. That's exactly what I'm going to do.

Episode 66: Managing the Mind
In this episode, I'm talking about how to gain some more control over the mind that likes to get carried away with stories.
The stories the mind tells aren't always helpful to us and very often they keep us stuck. Today, we're talking about how to use the awareness we have differently so that we can find a way to control the mind that isn't so overwhelming.

Episode 65: Managing Fear
Learning to manage your fear of the practical reality is how you begin to do your own thing and feel better.
In this episode, I talk about how I help people manage their fears while still moving forward in their lives. We begin to recognize the patterns and cycles that fear is creating so that we can change them. Sometimes this happens very quickly and sometimes it takes a little while, but we will always get there.
If you're having trouble managing your fear, listen in and you'll find lots of tips and tricks to help you do just that.

Episode 64: Finding Hope on My Awakening Day
Being able to sit here 8 years after my awakening and offer hope makes me so incredibly grateful for the journey I've been on since then. I admit it's been quite a ride but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Regardless of where you are on your own path, I want you to know it's possible to be okay. I want you to know it's possible to heal. I want you to know it's possible to not live a life filled with pain.

Episode 63: Finding Freedom
Finding freedom in your life without changing your circumstances is how we can feel better without needing to wait for things to change. The way we learn to find that freedom within ourselves is by creating boundaries that allow us to only take on what is truly ours. We can figure that out by questioning everything that happens in our lives.
In today's episode, I talk about finding freedom, what that looks like, and how to work towards feeling that freedom in your own life.

Episode 62: Relinquishing Control
Today I'm giving up control! Yep, I'm giving up controlling the platforms my content is on. I'm giving up the hosting platform. I'm moving on to different things and forwarding some domains.
Learning where to take control and where to release control has become part of my work. In many areas of my life, I've had to take back control, but in other areas, I'm now giving up control.
It's an interesting dynamic that plays out as we begin to understand how to manage our energy and time in the way that best suits us. For me, I'm seeing it in the back end of my business where I'm no longer controlling how everything looks or trying to "keep it all together".
Tune in today as we talk about that and what the changes are that you'll be seeing!

Episode 61: Where is Your Focus?
What we focus on is an important part of how we feel every day. Learning to focus on the possibilities of things working out and taking our attention away from problems can make us feel better.
We will never have a problem-free life. That's not the goal. The goal is to simply learn to be okay even when there are problems happening around us. We don't have to pay attention to the problems in our lives all day every day. It drains us, makes us feel like crap, and doesn't actually solve anything.
In this episode, we talk about what to focus on, what it means, and even how to do it. Have a listen and let me know what you think!

Episode 60: Life Is Weird
Yes, life is weird because it asks you to relax and not worry about everything. Boy, is that hard! Not only is it hard it's the opposite of what we get taught to do by our parents and caregivers.
Learning to relax means we need to figure out how to stop worrying about everything and let things go more. What if we didn't worry about everything all the time? What would that feel like?
Today I talked about the weirdness of learning to relax and also the imbalance we create for ourselves by living from pain and trauma through our habits and patterns. Tune in to find out more!

Episode 59: Where Is Your Focus?
My focus got the better of me last week and I'm sharing what happened and what I learned from the experience.
Your focus is your key to success. Wherever you're focusing is what you will create, whether you want it or not. In this episode, I'm talking about focus and how it applies to what I teach. Plus, I'm sharing my own focus on how shiny objects disguised as ideas got me into trouble and pulled me away from my goal.

Episode 58: It Takes Courage to Change
Deciding to change is scary. It means deciding that it's okay to ruffle feathers, it's okay to take up space, and it's okay to be okay within yourself. Those aren't easy choices. I know because I made them myself. But I know for sure that it's not nearly as scary as your mind would have you believe.
Today on the podcast, I talk about having the courage to leap and make the change. It's not about taking massive leaps, it's about making small changes so that we can stop living from the pain and start living from our truth. We are not the pain we wrap ourselves up in. We are so much more than that.

Episode 57: Acceptance Versus Resignation
Acceptance is the ability to allow the what is to be as it is without needing to change it.
Resignation is giving in to what is or giving up on trying to fix what is. It's the helplessness and victimization we feel when we feel stuck or trapped in our realities.
In this episode, we talk about the difference between acceptance and resignation. We talk about how to move from a place of acceptance and love instead of from a place of pain and victimization.

Episode 56: Safety, Security, and Control
Safety and insecurity can keep us in a loop because we're afraid to take charge or make changes. We don't want to rock the boat for fear we may upset somebody. Often that means we spend a lot of time in pain because we are not taking care of ourselves or living a life we enjoy.
In this episode, I talk about how a little bit of insecurity came to the surface over the weekend and how I dealt with it by releasing the emotion, accepting the part of me that felt insecure, and releasing the whole thing without beating myself up. This all goes together to keep me from getting stuck in any one thing. I can move forward easily because I'm not arguing with any part of the process. Tune in to learn all about it!

Episode 55: Ignore the Confusion
Maybe I'm just too attached to the work that I do "for money". Maybe I need to go with the flow more, relax more, enjoy more, and pull away some of my energy that is still dependent on what other people think.
Today's episode is all about my need to question whether I'm doing it right when I make things "for money". What if I just follow my intuition the same with the work I plan to charge for as the work that I don't charge for? What would happen then? Listen in and learn all about my adventures in doing it right!

Episode 54: Using My Gifts
In this episode, I'm talking about the gifts that I have, how they have evolved over time and what I can do with them.
Intuition and energy healing are always a lot of fun, I pretty much never know what's coming and so, sometimes even I get surprised by what shows up. Learning to use my gifts in a way that is helpful not only to me but also to the people I work with has been a very important part of my journey. So, come along today as I talk about these gifts and how they show up for me!

Episode 53: Just Make a Plan
The emotion distracts you from moving forward. It keeps you in the loop and makes you think you can't do what you want to do. What if that isn't true? What if the emotion is just part of the lie you're telling yourself that says you can't move forward?
In today's episode, Laura gives you a plan for moving forward and getting out of the loop. Listen in and learn how to do this for yourself by taking simple steps in the direction of what you want to create.

Episode 52: Validation and Acceptance
Looking for validation and acceptance in the outside world means we are asking people for their perceptions of us. The truth is those perceptions are always filtered through a level of pain. When people tell you what you should or shouldn't be doing, it's because they feel some level of pain or they are triggered by your actions or words.
When you stop looking outside of yourself for validation and acceptance, it means you are able to give those things to yourself first. It frees you to move forward on your own path. It frees you to do your own thing. It allows you to be happy in your own skin and in your own life.
Join me today as I talk about validation and acceptance, why those things get us into trouble, and what we need to do within ourselves to be okay on our own.

Episode 51: Revisiting My Powerlessness
The powerlessness returns!
In this episode, I talk about how I had stopped myself once again because I was afraid of what other people would think. The last few weeks have been pretty quiet as I backed off, stopped writing, and really only kept up the podcast. I didn't really know what was up until it hit me in the middle of the night last night. But now that I get it, I can come and talk about it and move on from it.
Join me today as I talk myself through this powerlessness thing and what happens next!

Episode 50: Showing Up in Your Work
Showing up when you're in business for yourself can be hard, especially at first when you don't have an audience and you feel like you're talking to yourself. It's important to remember that people are watching you even if they aren't interacting with you. You have an audience you may not be aware of.
In this episode, Laura talks about this process for herself and why being consistent is important early on for getting out of the story in your head, but may not be so important later once you're no longer telling the story.

Episode 49: A Case of the Blah
This podcast episode is coming out a little later than usual because I'm in a funk and I didn't have anything to talk about. But guess what? I just rambled for almost 30 minutes anyway about what was happening.
What do you do when you feel blah? For me, working whether it's writing or talking, always helps. What's your trick to fixing the blah? Let me know!

Episode 48: Who Needs Feelings?
Do you keep your emotions to yourself or are you open with them?
I learned early on not to express my feelings. They were never "okay" with the people around me, so I shut them down. Years later it's time to figure out how to show them and do so in a healthy way.
In this episode, I share the back story behind my shutting down of my own emotions and how that's shown up in my life, and what that means for me now, as I move forward in my own journey. It's a fascinating, emotional tale of my childhood and the souvenirs I picked up from my experiences back then.

Episode 47: Shame and Regret
Shame and regret keep us stuck in the past beating ourselves up for the choices we made and the things that happened. They mean we are still arguing with our past. The trick is that we have to let ourselves off the hook and stop worrying about what other people are thinking.
Tune in as Laura discusses these topics and how they are showing up in her life right now.

Today I'm reintroducing myself and talking about how I got here, how I came to what I teach, and even a little bit about what I teach and why. I started by talking about my awakening experience and then moved on to what the process was for me. It's definitely been an adventure and one I wouldn't trade for the wordl!

Episode 45: The Money Story Hangs On
Wow! I was all over the place in this episode talking about the connection to my money story, the powerlessness, the ego identity, and how it all fits together. I even came up with this really wild idea that maybe I had created a problem by using tarot to separate myself from my intuition outside of my work. That's a fun rabbit hole I'm going to go dig into.
Anyway, have a listen and let me know what you think! This episode is very much me being human and sharing my experience with you!

Episode 44: Projecting Pain
We all know people that toss their pain at others to try to hurt them, maybe we've done it ourselves. The important thing is to recognize what people are doing and why they are doing it. This is all about becoming aware of ourselves within the experience.
In this episode, Laura talks about finding compassion when dealing with people that are projecting their pain and how to recognize that pain as not being something for you to take on. The more compassionate we can be, the more common ground we can find. It makes life less stressful and dramatic, too. Tune in as Laura shares her experience with not only dealing with projectors but having been one herself.

Episode 43: Balancing the Problems
We love to focus on problems. We do it all the time! Something comes up and suddenly we can't stop thinking about it for a week afterward. What if we didn't have to do that? What if we could get better at leaving problems where they are and moving forward with the parts of our lives we enjoy?
In this episode, Laura talks about balancing our focus on problems with doing the things we enjoy that will allow us to create solutions. Laura spent much of her adult life in fear and dealing with problems. Learning to balance meant dealing with the problems and going right back to work doing what she loved. Tune in and learn how to do the same thing for yourself.

Episode 42: Bending to Reality
Do you talk about your what is? When you do, do you talk about the struggle of it? It's easy to fall back into the trap of talking about what is regardless of whether we actually like it or not.
In this episode, Laura realizes that she was creating her own struggle by talking about what is instead of talking about what she wanted to create. Tune in to find out what Laura has been up to and what has shifted in her thinking.

Episode 41: Expectations Aren't Real
Expectations can keep us very stuck if we don't allow for the opportunity for things to change. When we simply remain open to other options, it's amazing what the Universe will do for you.
In the episode, Laura talks about how her reality has changed as many of the expectations she had for how things would normally go are no longer being met. This is a really good thing, but it can be a little unsettling the first few times it happens.

Acceptance requires us to get okay with things as they are or as they were. It's a difficult concept to understand for some as it gets mixed up with the idea that we should be okay with what happened. That's not necessarily true.
In this episode, Laura talks about the idea of acceptance, what it actually means, and how to get there. Learn how to stop tripping over the boxes of pain that keep you stuck.

Episode 39: Just Decide to Be Happy
What if you just decided to be happy for one day? Could you do it? Could you drop all the worry and fear, stop letting other people bring you down, and just be okay for one day?
In this episode, Laura talks about her own "judgment day" where she is trying to manifest and needing to be happy. She can't waiver. She can't back down from where she is. She has to stay in her power, just for one day. This brings up the idea that we don't need a big day like this to just simply decide to be okay. Laura gives some tips and advice on how to do that for yourself.
Can Laura do it? Check back next episode to find out what happened!

Episode 38: Life is Not an Unsupervised Toddler
Do you feel the need to monitor your life all the time? Are you constantly worried about what's going to happen next? Do you always have your guard up?
In this episode, Laura talks about how she had her own guard up and what she learned from the experience of healing so she could take it down. Life is not an unsupervised toddler and we don't have to monitor it every second of the day! Learn where that analogy came from and why it makes so much sense.
