Today I'm offering the first 30 minutes or so of Cut Out the Doubt. This was a live presentation I did last week.

During this 30 minute clip I'm talking about my own life experience, a little bit about why we're here and what the point is to this experience anyway, plus I'm talking about where our focus is and what that does to how we're thinking.

Today was kind of a catch-up episode talking about all the things that have shifted in the last couple of weeks and where that's led me. it's been a fascinating journey that as always, I love to share with you in as many ways as I can.

The whole point of all this is to give you permission to shift. It's okay to change it up and do your own thing. Allow your life to change around you. You'll be so surprised what happens when you do that and you'll find it's not nearly as scary as your brain would have you believe. The world does not fall apart when you change things, it actually comes together beautifully.

Self-love was a by-product of a bigger healing journey for me on this path. Healing was a survival mechanism for me at the time. It was a means to an end. I had external goals and I understood that healing would get me those goals, so I did it. If self-love had been my first goal, I probably wouldn't have bothered healing because I would have seen it as a sidetrack or a distraction.

I'm working through some doubt that's come up in the last few days and it's giving me a hard time. The doubt is coming up around a new cycle in my life that is trying to come in. I'm unsure of the future like everybody else, and it's creating some doubt around whether I can trust this new experience or not. Am I okay on my own? Can I take responsibility for myself?

Hopelessness. We all feel this at some point in our lives, some more deeply than others. Do you feel hopeless? If you do take heart and have a listen to this episode.

I've been in a feeling of hopelessness for many years because of repeated failure due to karmic cycles I hadn't broken yet. After breaking those cycles, I continued to hang onto the hopeless, which continued to perpetuate the cycle. I spent the last few days understanding myself and the hopelessness I felt and now I'm sharing what I've learned from that experience.

Today's podcast is a summary of my life for the last few days as I've been breaking patterns and stories. I'm talking about having the courage and confidence to make those leaps with ease and not freak yourself out.

If you're struggling with making a leap for yourself, no matter how big or small, this will help you get up the oomph you need to do it. You will be okay. You can handle it. It will work out! Trust yourself. 

The argument we have with ourselves looks like fear, insecurity, doubt, worry about other people, not giving ourselves permission, and complaining about the problem with it. We focus far too much on what's wrong with what we want to do instead of just allowing ourselves to do it.

In this episode, we talk all about the argument and the fear and how to get the heck out of that so that we can move on with our lives. This is all about allowing ourselves to be happy and be okay in our lives. You get to do that for yourself and you don't need permission to do it.

I have all these great concepts, ideas, and ways of managing the healing process that allows us to move forward. Now I'm trying to put them together in a book that is more concrete and I'm struggling!

It's another trip into my thinking (scary I know) that I'm hoping will offer other creators some hope knowing that they aren't alone. The creative journey is a maze of twists and turns. Learning to manage your fear of the practical reality is how you begin to do your own thing and feel better.

The way we learn to find that freedom within ourselves is by creating boundaries that allow us to only take on what is truly ours. Today I'm giving up control! Yep, I'm giving up controlling the platforms my content is on. I'm giving up the hosting platform. I'm moving on to different things and forwarding some domains.

Learning where to take control and where to release control has become part of my work. In many areas of my life, I've had to take back control, but in other areas, I'm now giving up control.

It's an interesting dynamic that plays out as we begin to understand how to manage our energy and time in the way that best suits us. For me, I'm seeing it in the back end of my business where I'm no longer controlling how everything looks or trying to "keep it all together".

What we focus on is an important part of how we feel every day. Learning to focus on the possibilities of things working out and taking our attention away from problems can make us feel better. 

We will never have a problem-free life. That's not the goal. The goal is to simply learn to be okay even when there are problems happening around us. We don't have to pay attention to the problems in our lives all day every day. It drains us, makes us feel like crap, and doesn't actually solve anything.

Yes, life is weird because it asks you to relax and not worry about everything. Boy, is that hard! Not only is it hard it's the opposite of what we get taught to do by our parents and caregivers.

Learning to relax means we need to figure out how to stop worrying about everything and let things go more. What if we didn't worry about everything all the time? What would that feel like?

Deciding to change is scary. It means deciding that it's okay to ruffle feathers, it's okay to take up space, and it's okay to be okay within yourself. Those aren't easy choices. I know because I made them myself. But I know for sure that it's not nearly as scary as your mind would have you believe.

Today on the podcast, I talk about having the courage to leap and make the change. It's not about taking massive leaps, it's about making small changes so that we can stop living from the pain and start living from our truth. We are not the pain we wrap ourselves up in. We are so much more than that.

Acceptance is the ability to allow the what is to be as it is without needing to change it. 

Resignation is giving in to what is or giving up on trying to fix what is. It's the helplessness and victimization we feel when we feel stuck or trapped in our realities.

In this episode, we talk about the difference between acceptance and resignation. We talk about how to move from a place of acceptance and love instead of from a place of pain and victimization.

Safety and insecurity can keep us in a loop because we're afraid to take charge or make changes. We don't want to rock the boat for fear we may upset somebody. Often that means we spend a lot of time in pain because we are not taking care of ourselves or living a life we enjoy.

In this episode, I talk about how a little bit of insecurity came to the surface over the weekend and how I dealt with it by releasing the emotion, accepting the part of me that felt insecure, and releasing the whole thing without beating myself up. This all goes together to keep me from getting stuck in any one thing. I can move forward easily because I'm not arguing with any part of the process. Tune in to learn all about it!

Looking for validation and acceptance in the outside world means we are asking people for their perceptions of us. The truth is those perceptions are always filtered through a level of pain. When people tell you what you should or shouldn't be doing, it's because they feel some level of pain or they are triggered by your actions or words. 

When you stop looking outside of yourself for validation and acceptance, it means you are able to give those things to yourself first. It frees you to move forward on your own path. It frees you to do your own thing. It allows you to be happy in your own skin and in your own life.

The powerlessness returns!

In this episode, I talk about how I had stopped myself once again because I was afraid of what other people would think. The last few weeks have been pretty quiet as I backed off, stopped writing, and really only kept up the podcast. I didn't really know what was up until it hit me in the middle of the night last night. But now that I get it, I can come and talk about it and move on from it.

Showing up when you're in business for yourself can be hard, especially at first when you don't have an audience and you feel like you're talking to yourself. It's important to remember that people are watching you even if they aren't interacting with you. You have an audience you may not be aware of.

In this episode, Laura talks about this process for herself and why being consistent is important early on for getting out of the story in your head, but may not be so important later once you're no longer telling the story.

I learned early on not to express my feelings. They were never "okay" with the people around me, so I shut them down. Years later it's time to figure out how to show them and do so in a healthy way.

We all know people that toss their pain at others to try to hurt them, maybe we've done it ourselves. The important thing is to recognize what people are doing and why they are doing it. This is all about becoming aware of ourselves within the experience.

Expectations can keep us very stuck if we don't allow for the opportunity for things to change. When we simply remain open to other options, it's amazing what the Universe will do for you.

In the episode, Laura talks about how her reality has changed as many of the expectations she had for how things would normally go are no longer being met. This is a really good thing, but it can be a little unsettling the first few times it happens.

Acceptance requires us to get okay with things as they are or as they were. It's a difficult concept to understand for some as it gets mixed up with the idea that we should be okay with what happened. That's not necessarily true.

In this episode, Laura talks about the idea of acceptance, what it actually means, and how to get there. Learn how to stop tripping over the boxes of pain that keep you stuck.

What if you just decided to be happy for one day? Could you do it? Could you drop all the worry and fear, stop letting other people bring you down, and just be okay for one day? 

In this episode, Laura talks about her own "judgment day" where she is trying to manifest and needing to be happy. She can't waiver. She can't back down from where she is. She has to stay in her power, just for one day. This brings up the idea that we don't need a big day like this to just simply decide to be okay. Laura gives some tips and advice on how to do that for yourself.
