The Versatility of Ben Simmons at Center & Flyers Shutout the Penguins Heading into the All-Star Break!
The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Brooklyn Nets and Ben Simmons recorded 34 points in his triple double. He had 12 assists, 12 rebounds, and five steals. Oh by the way, two blocks. It was a remarkable game for him. Matisse Thybulle was also insanely active as he had four steals and was annoying the Nets all night long. Al Horford came up big with some blocks and a few shots down the stretch as he finished with 19 points. Tobias Harris and Josh Richardson were just, eh. Mike Scott was able to knock down a couple threes and Furkan Korkmaz struggled throughout, but hit a big three-pointer later in the game which was monstrous. The Philadelphia Flyers head into the all-star break with another big win under their belt. They defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins by a score of 3-0 and Brian Elliott records a 19-save shutout. They have now taken down four of the best teams in the NHL over a 14-day stretch. The penalty kill was absolutely outstanding and Kevin Hayes made the entire building erupt as he milked clock with beautiful moves. Jakub Voracek opened the scoring with a great goal, but the best part about it was Sean Couturier's laser pass through a ridiculous window. Joel Farabee also recorded an assist on the goal. For the second goal, my favorite line the Flyers have right now hopped on the score sheet. James Van Riemsdyk drove the net and Travis Konecny delivered a pass to him backdoor. Claude Giroux, centering the line, received an assists as well. This line put together by Alain Vigneault has been awesome. Sidney Crosby heard BOOs everytime he touched the puck. The audacity by Flyers fans... he is my favorite player in the world. It's a violation, I know. The Flyers head into the break with a 27-17-6 record.

BEN SIMMONS ABSOLUTELY CRUSHES THE BROOKLYN NETS WITH A 34 POINT TRIPLE DOUBLE

NFL Championship Sunday & My Love for Elton Brand's Aggressiveness as GM
The NFC and AFC Championship Games are completed! The Kansas City Chiefs took down the Tennessee Titans and Patrick Mahomes showed how special he truly is. After Derrick Henry, Mike Vrabel and the Titans took an early lead, the Chiefs stormed back. Tyreek Hill had two touchdowns as Andy Reid now has a chance to finally with the Super Bowl. The San Francisco 49ers dominated the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers and his team did not show up. Raheem Mostert was outstanding and recorded four touchdowns and 220 yards. The 49ers dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides and it wasn't even a contest. Kyle Shanahan dialed up a beauty when it comes to the run game. The Philadelphia Sixers season has been stressful for sure. Ben Simmons won't shoot, Brett Brown is on the hot seat again, Joel Embiid is injured, Al Horford's contract isn't living up to the expectation, and more. The question is also discussed about the roster construction and how it's the worst thing in the world. It's an interesting roster, but I don't necessarily disagree with the moves Elton Brand has made throughout his short tenure here in Philadelphia.

Sixers Squeak Out a Victory in Madison Square Garden!
The Philadelphia Sixers barely squeak out a victory against the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden. Marcus Morris almost delivered a dagger to send the Sixers home packing, but Tobias Harris hit a three-pointer with under a minute left and the defense swarmed the Knicks to force a turnover to secure the win. It should never have came to that and they scored a total of 38 points in the second half as a team. I don't know what it is when it comes to dominating lesser opponents, but they don't know how to do it. The Sixers snapped a six game road losing streak with this win though. Ben Simmons recorded 21 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds. Furkan Korkmaz provided spark once again scoring 17 points off the bench in 22 minutes. Josh Richardson was +17 and led the team in scoring in the fourth quarter. I miss Joel Embiid.

"The Furkan Korkmaz Game" - Where Were YOU When It Happened?!
The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Chicago Bulls by a score of 100-89. This game was "The Furkan Korkmaz Game" and you should never forget where you were when it happened! He recorded 24 points and hit six three-pointers. I am not a believer in Furkan Korkmaz long-term and I think he will be a MAJOR problem defensively when the playoffs come around, but for this game, it was an entertaining moment for sure. Al Horford was able to get going as he scored 20 points and Ben Simmons had 20 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists. Mattise Thybulle was able to defend Zach Lavine and obviously Thybulle was on the stat sheet with multiple blocks and steals. Josh Richardson struggled with only two points and Tobias Harris had some moments, but nothing crazy. The Sixers took care of business at home and now are 20-2 at the Wells Fargo Center.

Ben Simmons All Star? Joel Embiid's Players Tribune & Markelle Fultz Triple Double
The Philadelphia Sixers are about half way through the season and I talk about a couple different topics. First, I talk about Ben Simmons and I ask the question, is it a good thing for him if he doesn't make the NBA All-Star game? Second, I discuss Joel Embiid's players tribune article, and lastly I mentioned Markelle Fultz and his triple double against Lebron James/the Los Angeles Lakers.

Sixers Close Out the Brooklyn Nets with Defense & Flyers UNREAL Overtime Win in St. Louis!
The Philadelphia Sixers close out the Brooklyn Nets thanks to their defense. The fourth quarter defense was absurd and beautiful as they held the Nets to 16 points total while scoring 31 points of their own. Tobias Harris stole the show with an efficient day at the office. He shot 14-20 with 34 points and recorded 10 rebounds. Matisse Thybulle found himself in the starting lineup over Mike Scott which was a good move by Brett Brown. He had four blocks and two steals and sure knows how to energize this team. Furkan Korkmaz had a stretch in the fourth quarter of making two three-pointers and also got fouled from behind the arc. He ended up missing those free throws and getting his own rebound for a putback layup. Spencer Dinwiddie obviously had a great game because why wouldn't he against this Sixers team? He always does. Kyrie Irving struggled and was -29 on the night. The Philadelphia Flyers beat the St. Louis Blues in overtime thanks to Jakub Voracek who finds the twine! What a gutsy performance by this team to go on the road and beat one of the best teams in hockey as they were on a big win streak in their own building. The Flyers had a 3-1 lead in the third period after Travis Konecny scored a powerplay goal once James Van Riemsdyk tipped a beautiful pass backdoor. From there though, the Blues turned it on as Ryan O'Reilly and Alexander Steen both scored to tie the game up.They had to a kill a 5 on 3 penalty kill with Michael Raffl and Kevin Hayes both in the box and a Too Many Men on the ice penalty in that third period which was not an easy task. The penalty kill was outstanding. Brian Elliott was in between the pipes and will continue to be since the news of Carter Hart's injury was released. He will be out for a few weeks. Ivan Provorov logged over 27 minutes and he was stellar. This team is playing fantastic hockey against great teams over the last four games they are 3-1. This is against the Capitals, Bruins, Lightning, and Blues.

Phillies are FRAUDS as Win Total = 85.5, Houston Astros/Alex Cora are CHEATERS, & Sixers 3 Point Numbers
The Philadelphia Phillies are frauds as their win total is set at 85.5 which is fourth in the NL East. To not going over the luxury tax is embarrassing and this team will go nowhere considering their pitching staff is a joke. Aaron Nola and Zach Wheeler are the only two guys I can trust to be good. I hope Joe Girardi fixes Rhys Hoskins swing.... we will need it. Oh, and I love Bryce Harper. I am disappointing in this offseason so far! Also, the Houston Astros cheating saga is insane and Alex Cora was fired by the Red Sox! The Philadelphia Sixers lose to the Indiana Pacers on the road which makes it their sixth straight road loss. The story after the game was the poor shooting from three-point land as they finished with six threes in 33 attempts. That is a whomping 18.2%. Ben Simmons had a monster first half scoring 20 points with nine rebounds. He finished with 24 points and had zero in the fourth quarter. Without Joel Embiid this team is struggling without a doubt. Tobias Harris and Al Horford need to contribute more. Mike Scott is unplayable and Josh Richardson was the only player who stepped up in the fourth quarter as he recorded 17 points and did everything he could to hold the Sixers into the game. TJ Warren and Malcolm Brogdon did most of the damage for the Pacers. Brett Brown dialed up a play late in the game out of a timeout which resulted in Harris getting swatted as the perimeter.

The "18% from 3" Sixers Lose 6th Straight Road Game & Flyers CRAZY Comeback Win Over the Bruins!
TJ Warren and Malcolm Brogdon did most of the damage for the Pacers. Brett Brown dialed up a play late in the game out of a timeout which resulted in Harris getting swatted as the perimeter.  The Philadelphia Flyers come back to beat the Boston Bruins 6-5 in a shootout after being down three goals in the second period! This was a fantastic victory as they find a way to battle through adversity and beat one of the best teams in the NHL. Carter Hart settled into the game and once he did that, he made timely saves and was big in the shootout of course. Sean Couturier recorded three points, Travis Sanhiem scored two goals, Kevin Hayes had a beauty, and Travis Konecny scored the only goal in in the shootout off the post which redirected in. At the end of the overtime period with time expiring, Ivan Provorov missed a wide open net as Jaroslav Halak got his right pad on the biscuit. It was a possibly a killer for this team, but they were able to finish the job. What a beautiful win and a confidence booster!

INSANE Divisional Round of Playoffs & Current State of the Sixers
The NFL Divisional Round is now completed and wow was it entertaining! The most insane game was the Kansas City Chiefs coming back from a 24 point deficit against the Houston Texans. Bill O'Brien absolutely fell apart and Patrick Mahomes was electric. The Tennessee Titans explode in Baltimore and Derrick Henry took down the Ravens and Lamar Jackson. Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams took over and converted in big situations to finish off the Seattle Seahawks' attempt to fight back. Russell Wilson did everything he could. Lastly, the 49ers handled business against the Minnesota Vikings. The Philadelphia Sixers lost Joel Embiid for a decent amount of time from surgery on his finger. Also, I break down how my expectations changed with this team, but I am still optimistic about what they can do in the playoffs. I am a big Ben Simmons believer and I think what he is doing on the defensive side of the floor is DPOY worthy. This team needs help though, losing Embiid will effect how they play and they need more time figuring out Al Horford and Josh Richardson with Joel on the floor.

Sixers: A Tale of Two Halves in Dallas & the Flyers Shutout By Tampa Bay
The Philadelphia Sixers lose to the Dallas Mavericks on the road. I hate to be so standard, but it was a tale of two halves. The first half the Sixers were dynamite defensively and held the Mavs to only 41 points while frustrating Luka Doncic. Ben Simmons had 11 points and recorded four steals as he looked possessed on the d side of the floor. What if I told you Ben Simmons finished with 11 points? Well, he did. The energy shifted towards the Mavericks in the second half. The Sixers couldn't buy a bucket and only recorded 16 points in the third quarter. They only scored 41 points in the second half while Dallas scored 68 and the three-pointers would not fall as they knocked down 9-37. Al Horford took nine threes in Joel Embiid's absence. Boban Marjanovic and Dwight Powell stepped up and helped take over the game. It was weird because the Sixers only turned the ball over four times, recorded 14 offensive rebounds, and had 19 more shots than Dallas and still lost by a good margin, so it just shows how the defense slipped up and the open looks would not fall. The Philadelphia Flyers lose to the Tampa Bay Lightning by a score of 1-0. This is the Lightning's tenth straight win and a it's a very rare loss for the Flyers at home. They didn't play bad by any means, but when the standings continue to get tighter, every point matters. It's impressive for the Flyers to hold Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, Victor Hedman, and their other great playmakers off the score sheet, but when Andrei Vasilevskiy shuts the door on the other end, it's impossible to win. The Flyers did a good job on the penalty kill for a second straight game, Carter Hart did his job, and the effort was there. Results are very important at this moment based off the standings so it's hard to be satisfied with just effort. At times, I think it was noticeable the difference in skill level and speed, but that's no knock on the Flyers, it's more about praising what the Lightning are.

Sixers Take Down the Celtics 3 STRAIGHT TIMES & HUH?! The Eagles Fire Mike Groh & Carson Walch?!
The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Boston Celtics by a score of 109-98. For all of the Brett Brown haters, he is now 3-0 against Brad Stevens this season. I assume those same haters believe Stevens is a great coach in this league. Oh by the way, this was without Joel Embiid as we learned he is going to need surgery on his dislocated finger. Al Horford was awesome and stepped up against his former team. He had 17 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Ben Simmons was tremendous and he was being utilized as the screen once again! It is VERY beneficial to this team. Josh Richardson scored 29 points and recorded seven assists as well. Norvell Pelle created a ton of energy with his rim protection and Furkan Korkmaz even hit a couple big shots in the fourth quarter. The defense effected the Celtics big time. Jayson Tatum shot 4-13, Jaylen Brown shot 2-12. and Gordan Hayward went 4-11 from the field. Kemba Walker dropped 26. The Philadelphia Eagles fire Mike Groh and Carson Walch after Doug Pederson spoke at the season ending press conference and stated they would both be back. This is a positive thing for the team as I believe they can upgrade both positions, but it's odd for this to occur. Did Jeffrey Lurie step over Doug Pederson and make a decision as the owner? Did Doug Pederson lie? What does this say about the future of Jim Schwartz?

Was this Eagles Season a Success? | Doug Pederson & Howie Roseman Press Conference
The Philadelphia Eagles season ends with a 9-7 record and a first round exit at home. There is no doubt the team showed fight, pride, and stepped up with a ton of practice squad guys. I can't say this season was a total success based off of what we expected in the offseason. So I am proud of Carson Wentz and what he did, but I can't say it was a total success. Also, I dive into the press conference with Doug Pederson and Howie Roseman. I was joined by a good friend, Deem, to break down more!

"Empty" Feeling with Carson Wentz Concussion & Sixers Snap 4 Game Losing Skid against OKC
The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the Seattle Seahawks in the playoffs by a score of 17-9. Carson Wentz left the game with a concussion after a dirty hit from Jadeveon Clowney. Considering the circumstances of Josh McCown coming into the game for a significant amount of time, I thought Doug Pederson coached a great game. His mindset was obviously to keep the team involved and to be aggressive late. There were definitely times when he was more cautious than normal, but I thought it was an effective way to do it. Zach Ertz battled with his rib injury, Dallas Goedert made plays, and Fletcher Cox dominated. The guys battled hard and gave the fans everything they could. There are some plays that frustrated me defensively. For example, there were too many third down conversions for the Seahawks and Russell Wilson. DK Metcalf torched the DBs and Howie Roseman should be disgusted that JJ Arcega-Whiteside was drafted over him. At the end of the day, I am proud that they battled and that they were involved in a 1 possession game with under 2 minutes to go with the ball close to the end zone. With the cards they were dealt..... I am sort of impressed. The Philadelphia Sixers snap their four game losing streak by beating the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Wells Fargo Center. Joel Embiid dislocated his finger, but returned to the game and had 18 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Ben Simmons was rock solid as he provided 15 rebounds on top of his 17 points and eight assists. Brett Brown is using him as the screener with Josh Richardson again and it is clearly working. Richardson scored 23 points and was effective. Al Horford scored in double digits which is what this team needs and Mike Scott hit a couple three-pointers in the fourth quarter! Trey Burke had a decent run off the bench. It was a very solid win as Brown was looking for the guys to "hunt threes" and they sure did. The Sixers finished shooting 50% from behind the arc.

My Final Thoughts on Eagles Seawhawks & Sixers Drop FOUR Straight!
The Philadelphia Eagles will host in the Seattle Seahawks in the first round of the playoffs. This is a big moment for Carson Wentz and I am excited for his opportunity. Doug Pederson needs to continue to be creative with Boston Scott, Miles Sanders, Greg Ward and the other guys. Lane Johnson and Zach Ertz are still questionable at this point. Miles Sanders and Jalen Mills are a go. Russell Wilson, Tyler Lockett, and DK Metcalf are their biggest weapons so Jim Schwartz will have to dial up a big gameplan. I think this game will come down to his side of the ball and how effective Malcolm Jenkins, Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, Tim Jernigan, and Derek Barnett can be. The Philadelphia Sixers drop their fourth straight game and lose to the Houston Rockets on the road. James Harden was so special in this one, recording 44 points and a triple double. Clint Capela thrived due to Harden's dribble penetration and he scored 30 points. He ran up and down the floor which crushed Joel Embiid's endurance. Ben Simmons was unreal as he had a triple double as well, including 29 points. Defensively he was a stud with three steals and four blocks. Al Horford is still struggling, but I am questioning how he is being used in the offense by Brett Brown. Josh Richardson isn't scoring at a high rate, but he did have eight assists and I think they found something in a two-man game with him and Simmons. The bench is atrocious and Mike Scott specifically is hurting the team.

Eagles Seahawks Will be Interesting & Brett Brown's Accountability with the Sixers!
Lane Johnson, Zach Ertz, Jalen Mills, and Miles Sanders are still questionable at this point. Russell Wilson, Tyler Lockett, and DK Metcalf are their biggest weapons so Jim Schwartz will have to dial up a big gameplan. The Philadelphia Sixers lost 3 games in a row for the third time this season and Al Horford, Ben Simmons, Josh Richardson, and Tobias Harris all came out after their loss to the Pacers with quotes about accountability. I think it's fair to say Brett Brown should be on the hot seat. I don't know what the right move is though. Is this the right time? Is there a guy waiting who is worthy of the job waiting for a call? I still blame the players more than I do the coach, but there is a disconnect with the message.

Sixers BLOWN OUT in Indiana & This NEEDS to Stop!
The Philadelphia Sixers get blown out by the Indiana Pacers to lose their third straight. Joel Embiid did not play due to a sore left knee and to me that means load management. Al Horford continues to struggle insanely as he is now -51 in the last two games and one of those games was a one-point finish. There really are no positives in this game at all as the team got outworked, did not defend, and could not score. Ben Simmons had 18 points, but six turnovers. Josh Richardson had 20, but who cares? My biggest criticism on Brett Brown in this game was not keeping Kyle O'Quinn in the game when he started and created energy. The Sixers were outscored 38 to 16 in the second quarter and that was pretty much the ball game. TJ McConnell recorded a double double against his former squad.

EAGLES WIN THE NFC EAST IN NEW YORK!!! Oh & the Sixers Lose a Whacky One in Miami....
The Philadelphia Eagles make the playoffs and win the NFC East after beating the New York Giants by a score of 34-17. It was close as the game was tied 17-17 heading into the fourth quarter. The Eagles had players drop like flies throughout the game as they lost Miles Sanders, Brandon Brooks, and Avonte Maddox. Brandon Graham left for the locker room and eventually returned. Everyone stepped up in their place. Boston Scott had 138 yards from scrimmage and scored three touchdowns. Carson Wentz was AWESOME and recorded 4,000 yards on the season. That's without having one receiver catch for over 500 yards individually. Doug Pederson, Jim Schwartz, and even Mike Groh deserve a ton of credit for this one. Schwartz did a great job of holding Saquon Barkley to nothing, until he had a 68-yard touchdown run to tie the game, but he was quiet for the most part. Dallas Goedert, Greg Ward, Deontay Burnett, Malcolm Jenkins, Fletcher Cox, Cre'von Leblanc, Sidney Jones, and all of the guys really played inspired football with a purpose. Now, we await to see who the Eagles will host in the first round of the playoffs! The Philadelphia Sixers lose to the Miami Heat in overtime and experience a whacky turn of events. They had this game and let it slip. Tobias Harris missed a dunk to solidify the win and Joel Embiid had a costly turnover off the rebound which led to Tyler Herro knocking down a three-pointer to take the lead with just under seven seconds remaining. Josh Richardson had a chance to tie the game with two free throws and he missed the first. He then had to miss the second on purpose which led to a Ben Simmons tip in to tie it. Embiid scored 35 points and had a couple clutch threes down the stretch. He was the only reason why the Sixers had a chance to leave victorious. Simmons did great defensively, but his offense still hurts the team specifically with the zone. He did a great job on Jimmy Butler on the d side of things. Brett Brown went to Trey Burke to help break down that zone. Al Horford was awful as he recorded a -25 rating. Harris had a wide open look to win the game from behind the arc at the end of overtime and he missed.

The Eagles GET IN with a WIN on Sunday & The Sixers Unwilling to Work Hard in Orlando..
The Philadelphia Eagles will travel up north to take on the New York Giants and with a win, they will be NFC East champions. Zach Ertz was ruled out with broken ribs, but Jordan Howard will make his way back into the lineup. Doug Pederson is going to have to be creative with Miles Sanders, Jordan Howard, Greg Ward, and Dallas Goedert. Daniel Jones has fumbling issues so the d line will need to create havoc. I am concerned about the corner backs as it might be Sidney Jones and Rasul Douglas if Jalen Mills is not able to go. He is listed as questionable. The Eagles need to stop Saquon Barkley and force Daniel Jones to beat them. The Philadelphia Sixers lose to the Orlando Magic after one of the biggest emotional wins of the season on Christmas Day. Is this really a surprise? I saw it coming a mile away. It is very frustrating that they don't feel the need to work hard against bad opponents, but I also don't think your views should change on what this team is. They can clearly compete with the top dogs when they have the right mindset. I need more out of Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid, Al Horford, Josh Richardson, and the bench! Markelle Fultz scored 13 points on this former squad... I can't stand even looking at him.

97.3 ESPN LIVE from Chickie's & Pete's | Sixers & Eagles Discussion
I hosted 2-6PM on 97.3 ESPN with Geoff Mosher and Ryan Rothstein on December 26th! Here are a couple segments from the show! The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Milwaukee Bucks at the Wells Fargo Center on Christmas Day! It was a blowout! Joel Embiid dropped 31 points and 11 rebounds. Ben Simmons has 14 assists and was dominant defensively. Tobias Harris, Josh Richardson, and Al Horford were all electric. It was a stellar performance. Brett Brown dialed up a a gameplan to stop Giannis Antetokounmpo as he shot 8 for 27.  The Philadelphia Eagles play the New York Giants on Sunday and if they win, they will host a playoff game! It comes down to Doug Pederson and Carson Wentz dialing up a great gameplan and executing it as well. Miles Sanders has emerged as a star, but Zach Ertz is banged up.

Tobi Drops 35, Ben Triple Double in Victory & Flyers Beat Rangers!!
The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Detroit Pistons and have now won two games in a row. I was skeptical of this game because it was in between the Wizards and the big show down with the Milwaukee Bucks on Christmas Day. The Sixers delivered though. Tobias Harris scored 35 points and was a true leader. Ben Simmons recorded a triple double and had his career-high in assists with 17. Joel Embiid didn't have his best matchup against Andre Drummond as he only scored 20 points and was a -7 on the night. Without Matisse Thybulle available due to injury, Furkan Korkmaz stepped in and had 22 points off the bench.  The Philadelphia Flyers explode late against the New York Rangers and win by a score of 5-1. The Wells Fargo Center was absolutely dynamite and it was the complete opposite of the Anaheim Ducks game where no one showed up. Of course the rivalry played a factor in that. Kevin Hayes scored two goals in this one and I am sure it was extra special as he faced his former squad. Remember, Alain Vigneault used to coach for the Rangers organization. Carter Hart was magnificent and made an obnoxious amount of big saves. Travis Sanhiem delivered for two goals and also recorded an assists. James Van Riemsdyk got on the score sheet a couple times as well. The team is clicking and flying right now, but a ton of their success is coming at home. They fly out west for a true test coming up this weekend.

THE EAGLES TAKE DOWN THE COWBOYS 17-9!!
The Philadelphia Eagles take down the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 17-9. What a magnificent game by Carson Wentz, Miles Sanders, and Dallas Goedert! Oh by the way, Jim Schwartz dialed up an amazing game plan defensively. The defense held the Cowboys out of the end zone all game only allowing three field goals. Sidney Jones of all people made the game saving play with 1:22 to go breaking up a potential game-tying touchdown. Ezekiel Elliot could not get anything going what-so-ever. Doug Pederson had some VERY questionable play calls throughout this one, but there is no denying he has this team playing well in December every year. If the Eagles beat the Giants next week, they are hosting a playoff game. I think we saw in this game how powerful a game at the Linc can truly be.

Sixers Lose 3 Straight..... Lifeless in Loss to Mavs
The Philadelphia Sixers lose their third straight game after falling to the Dallas Mavericks at home. They did not have Luka Doncic in the lineup which makes things even worse. By no surprise, the Sixers were stopped by the zone once again. Nobody showed up for this game except for Joel Embiid who dropped 33 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. The intensity was not there and the Mavericks completely outworked the Sixers. That's unacceptable. Tobias Harris was -28, Al Horford struggled, Josh Richardson didn't shoot enough, and Ben Simmons continued his offensive woes. The Sixers hit 10 total three-pointers while Tim Hardaway Jr hit seven himself. Kristaps Porzingis stepped up as well. Hopefully this isn't foreshadowing the Dallas Cowboys coming to town.

Cowboys Week Continues... Is Dak REALLY Hurt? Sixers Troubled by the Zone?! Flyers SMOKE the Sabres!
The Philadelphia Eagles will host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday to keep the playoff hopes alive. Both teams are 7-7 for a reason, but I don't feel great TODAY about it from an Eagles perspective.Doug Pederson and Carson Wentz needs to be on the same page and execute the gameplan. Miles Sanders has been an absolute stud and so has Zach Ertz. Will Greg Ward be good enough as the only one wide receiver? Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot, and the Boys are coming off of a hot win against the Rams, but Dak is injured. How serious is it? The Philadelphia Sixers lose for the first time at home this season. They fall to the Miami Heat by a score of 108-104. Yes, Jimmy Butler was heavily hearing the boos once again, but this time it didn't matter. The Heat used a zone in the second quarter which completely screwed up the Sixers offense and it changed the game completely. Miami scored 37 points that quarter and finished the first half on a 27-7 run. Joel Embiid barely had any shot attempts and Ben Simmons was useless as the team stood around and jacked up three-pointers that were not falling. The defense suffered in that quarter as well. Somehow, it came down to the wire as the Sixers did not give up. With the shot clocked pulled and Ben Simmons dribbling up the court, down two points, he picked up his dribble when driving on Kendrick Nunn to kick the ball out to Al Horford. He missed the game-winning shot attempt. Ben Simmons HAS to drive the ball in that situation as Nunn is 6'2 trying to guard him. Joel Embiid had 22 points and 19 rebounds, but was -11. He wasn't good enough. The Philadelphia Flyers smoke the Buffalo Sabres by a score of 6-1 to continue their success at home. They have at least recorded a point in 16 of their 18 home games, as they are 12-2-4 at the Wells Fargo Center. Jack Eichel was a late scratch which effected the game as is currently rocking a 17 game point streak. 11 different players for the Orange & the Black registered a point. Travis Konecny had three assists, Kevin Hayes made outstanding passes and was rewarded with two apples as well. Sean Couturier had a two-point night and Matt Niskanen joined the club, too. The puck luck was absolutely on the Flyers side in this one since multiple pucks redirected off Buffalo and past Carter Hutton. Speaking of Goaltenders, Carter Hart only allowed one goal and is playing sharp!

The Start of Dallas Cowboys Week & Flyers Stop the Bleeding
The Philadelphia Eagles will host on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday to keep the playoff hypes alive. Both teams are 7-7 for a reason, but I don't feel great TODAY about it from an Eagles perspective. As the week goes on though, things can change. Doug Pederson and Carson Wentz needs to be on the same page and execute the gameplan. Miles Sanders has been an absolute stud and so has Zach Ertz. Will Greg Ward be good enough as the only one wide receiver? Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot, and the Boys are coming off of a hot win against the Rams. The Philadelphia Flyers stop the bleeding with a 4-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks. They are coming off of a three-game losing skid on their road trip to Colorado, Minnesota, and Winnipeg. They lost players due to injury during that stretch and found out the horrible news about Oskar Lindblom so it was a very emotional time and understandably so. They got back to winning ways with an all-around solid performance against the Ducks. Travis Konecny returned to the lineup and created energy. Morgan Frost recorded an assist, Claude Giroux scored a goal, and Carter Hart made 40 saves. Oh, don't forget about David Kaše scoring his first NHL goal! The one part of the game I did not like was seeing the Flyers take five penalties, that will not be a recipe for success moving forward. They will host the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night at the Wells Fargo Center, but the real question is, will anyone show up? The building was absolutely empty and it's a disgrace!

Clutch Carson Wentz Does It Again & Sixers Have a Stinker in Brooklyn
The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Washington Redskins to improve to 7-7. It was close and Carson Wentz needed to deliver a clutch drive to win the game. He did. With under five minutes to go in the game, down three, he took the squad on a drive downfield to win the game. Greg Ward was huge during that stretch and so was Dallas Goedert, who made an absurd one-handed catch. Miles Sanders was so impressive and he has become a legit threat! He ran for 122 yards and caught a few receptions for 50 yards. The Eagles defense struggled and made Dwayne Haskins look like Peyton Manning at times.... Jim Schwartz confuses me. The Philadelphia Sixers lose to the Brooklyn Nets and it was a stinker. To me, it was just "one of those games." I hate to think that way, but it's reality. Every team goes through something like this in an 82 game schedule. Joel Embiid did not play and Al Horford struggled in his place. Remember, Horford is coming off of missing some time. Josh Richardson was not effective either. Ben Simmons dropped 20 points and Tobias scored 17. Shots were not falling as they only hit five three-pointers in the game. The Nets continued to attack the paint as they scored 64 of their 109 points in the paint. I am not too worried about this loss, it's time to move on to the Miami on Wednesday.

Eagles Redskins Preview & Sixers Win 13 of 15 Games, 14-0 at Home, after Beating the Pelicans!
The Philadelphia Eagles will travel down to Landover, Maryland this Sunday to take on the Washington Redskins. The Eagles are clearly lacking weapons, but Carson Wentz and Doug Pederson will have to rely on some young bloods. Greg Ward, Josh Perkins, Boston Scott, and Robert Davis since Alshon Jeffery went down. Oh and don't forget about Nelson Agholor's "knee". They still have Zach Ertz and Miles Sanders to work with. The Birds should be able to take down Dwayne Haskins and this Washington team, but you never know! The Philadelphia Sixers beat the New Orleans Pelicans to improve to 14-0 at home. They are now the second seed in the East and 20-7 overall. Also, they have won 13 of their last 15 games. This is quite the run. This game was setup to be a trap game considering the emotional battle between them and the Boston Celtics coming the night before, but they handled business. Tobias Harris scored 31 points and totally took control of the game offensively. Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons both scored 24 points which is fantastic to see all three of them produce in the same game. The fourth quarter became ugly and was obnoxiously long due to so many fouls. JJ Redick made his return to Philadelphia for the first time and received a tribute video. Norvel Pelle put on a show blocking shots at will!

Joel Embiid Drops 38 on the Celtics IN Boston & Flyers Fall Shorthanded to the Avs!
The Philadelphia Sixers went into Boston and handed the Celtics their first home-loss of the season! Joel Embiid absolutely dominated scoring 38 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, six assists, and one block. This game came down to the wire and either team could have won, but the Sixers were consistently falling short in years past so it feels nice to be on the victorious end. Ben Simmons struggled offensively and it's obvious Brad Stevens just knows how to take him out of the game completely on that side of the floor. With that being said, in a hostile environment late in the game, he went two for two from the free throw line to help the squad secure the win. Tobias Harris was aggressive in the second half and Josh Richardson had some good moments. Mike Scott hit five three-pointers and was +17 as Brett Brown put him in the starting lineup since Al Horford was not available to play. The defense by the Sixers picked up in the second half. Kemba scored his points, but they held Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to a combined eight of 27 from the field.  The Philadelphia Flyers lose to the Colorado Avalanche by a score of 3-1. They entered the game without Oskar Lindblom and Travis Konecny which is a huge loss considering they are very important offensive players in this lineup. David Kase made his NHL debut because of this. The Flyers competed hard and did everything they could in terms of effort, but they ran into a better team while being shorthanded. This normally isn't a recipe for success. Carter Hart made awesome saves including an impressive glove save that can be a top play of the season. Mikko Rantanen scored two goals and Nathan MacKinnon recorded an assist. Pavel Francouz stood on his head.

Phillies Sign Didi Gregorious & Sixers Win Ugly vs Denver!
The Philadelphia Phillies sign Didi Gregorious to a 1-year deal worth $14M. This was a phenomenal move. There really is no down side to this. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out and there are comp picks involved. He is obviously a Joe Girardi guy and I think there is value in that. Didi had other options and he chose to come here so I love the fact that this a destination now. There are many questions with the infield right now and I don't think the Phils are done making moves yet. Will they try and move Jean Segura? I can't wait to watch Bryce Harper take the field everyday again. I do want another starting pitcher btw. The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Denver Nuggets by a score of 97-92. The offense struggled in the fourth quarter once again. They only recorded 14 points and they went scoreless from 4:09 to 15.3 seconds left in the game. Their defense only allowed the Nuggets to score four points in that time. The Sixers defense clearly played a factor as they locked down at times, but there is no denying the offense is ugly.  Ben Simmons had a frustrating night where he was not aggressive. Joel Embiid had 22 points, but he was -8 and he mentioned how it's tough being a closer. I want to see Tobias Harris be the closer. Mattise Thybulle was unbelievable as he went +20 in 26 minutes and dropped 13 points off the bench. He is something else! Josh Richardson finally returned to the lineup and he was clearly off.

Clutch Carson Wentz Delivers in Overtime!
The Philadelphia Eagles beat the New York Giants in overtime by a score of 23-17. Carson Wentz was clutch. That's right, I said it. In three drives late in the game, Carson Wentz delivered, but only two will show on the score sheet. The Eagles were down 17-3 at half and it was really ugly football. Eli Manning had two touchdown throws to Darius Slayton on third downs to beat Ronald Darby. When the score was 17-10 and it was the fourth quarter, Carson Wentz hit Greg Ward in the hands to tie the game and he dropped it. Jake Elliot missed a field goal on the next play. From there, Wentz went on an 84-yard drive with the offense which led to a Zach Ertz touchdown to tie the game with under two minutes to spare. The Eagles got the ball first in overtime and the rest is history. The offense flowed right down field and it resulted in another Ertz touchdown. It was a remarkable game by Wentz as he answered some of the critics in this one.

Sixers Escape an Ugly 4th Q against Toronto & Flyers Earn a TOUGH Win vs Ottawa!
The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Toronto Raptors at the Wells Fargo Center to stay undefeated at home. It was smooth sailing for the Sixers until the fourth quarter. The Raptors pressed and caused an obnoxious amount of turnovers. The 21-point lead for Philadelphia was reduced to single digits as Toronto scored 36 points in the fourth quarter. Brett Brown had to sit Joel Embiid late in the fourth because of how bad he was. He finished the game with seven turnovers. Ben Simmons put together another nice effort and stayed aggressive. He was one assist shy of a triple double. Matisse Thybulle was the star of the show scoring 20 points off the bench and knocked down five three-pointers. Oh by the way, he always recorded three steals and a block. Tobias Harris dropped 26 points and he is finding the "LA Clipper" version of himself. It was a solid win, but the ending killed a little bit of how good it should have tasted. The Philadelphia Flyers win a hard fought battle against the Ottawa Senators by a score of 4-3. Travis Konecny started the scoring off a few minutes into the game, but later that period, he was hit hard and did not return. Jake Voracek and Joel Farabee fought to stand up for their teammate. The Flyers are calling it an upper body injury and he will be reevaluated on Monday. Brady Thachuk tied the game up before Shayne Gostisbehere cranked a clapper to take the lead 2-1 lead heading into the second period. Craig Anderson left the game for Ottawa after feeling discomfort. In the second, Carter Hart and Gostisbehere miscommunicated on the power play which led to Anthony Duclair tying up the game shorthanded on a wrap around. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! In the third period, Ivan Provorov netted an early goal to retake the lead, but Duclair scored his second of the night with five minutes to go to tie the game once again. 11 seconds later, Scott Laughton took the lead back and started screaming at the Senators bench. With 27 seconds left, Thachuk jumped Laughton and started throwing punches when he was on the ice. Personally, I believe that should get looked at by the league. GREAT win by the Flyers!

Eagles Host the Giants on MNF & I Can't Wait...
The Philadelphia Eagles will host on the New York Giants o Monday Night Football. Somehow, someway, the Eagles still have a chance to win the NFC East because the Dallas Cowboys continue to lose as well. I don't feel great about this game. I haven't seen anything good from the Birds to think it's an automatic victory. They are 5-7 for a reason. Doug Pederson needs to dial up a good game plan for Carson Wentz, Miles Sanders, and this entire offense to get some sort of rhythm.

Embiid + Simmons = 15 TURNOVERS & Flyers Fall to Arizona, But Control the Game!
The Philadelphia Sixers lose to the Washington Wizards and it was embarrassing! Joel Embiid dropped 26 points and recorded 21 rebounds, but he had EIGHT costly turnovers. Ben Simmons had SEVEN!! This is totally unacceptable from our two guys. Tobias Harris was left out to dry by everyone else except maybe Matisse Thybulle. Harris dropped 33 points and he clearly is getting used to being more aggressive. This loss totally can't happen as their defense was abysmal. The Wizards scored 40 points in the second quarter! How?! Davis Bertans had over 20 points in the first half and Rui Hachimura had 27 in the game. What a joke! The Philadelphia Flyers absolutely controlled this game against the Arizona Coyotes, but could not find the back of the net enough. Phil Kessel scored his first goal of the night a few minutes in on the powerplay. From there, it was mostly Flyers. They had a couple powerplay chances of their own in the second period and could not cash in. They came in waves in the third period as well, but with seven minutes to go, Arizona took a two-goal lead. Alain Vigneault pulled Brian Elliott early and Matt Niskanen scored to make it a one goal game, but after Kevin Hayes took a penalty, Phil Kessel scored his second of the night to end the game. Darcy Kuemper stood on his head!

Phillies Sign Zack Wheeler 5 Years/$118M & Flyers Stay RED HOT!
The Philadelphia Phillies sign Zack Wheeler for 5 years, $118M. To me, this makes so much sense. I can't comprehend how fans are upset with the contract. This team had to rotate 5 AA pitchers as starters last season and this helps tremendously. He was paid what the free agency market set him to be at. I know he isn't as good as Gerrit Cole or Stephen Strasburg, but that doesn't mean this is a bad start to the offseason. There are other pitchers out there to sign! The Philadelphia Flyers stay hot and continue to grab points as they beat the Toronto Maple Leafs by a score of 6-1. It wasn't that much of a blowout as it was a 1-1 game about halfway through the third period. The Flyers exploded late and it was a beautiful sight. Carter Hart with another fantastic game which kept the Flyers in it. To start the scoring, Kevin Hayes made an outstanding play protecting the puck and passed it net front to Scott Laughton as he put the puck past Frederik Andersen. In the third, the Leafs score on a fluke bounce after a shot from the point. Just over a minute later, Claude Giroux scored to take the lead back thanks to heads up play by Phil Meyers on the wall and a great pass from Travis Konecny. This is when the flood gates opened as Konecny, Joel Farabee, Shayne Gostisbehere, and James Van Riemsdyk all score after that. Michael Raffl broke his finger and will be out about four weeks.

Sixers Hold On to Beat Utah & the Flyers OT Win in Montreal!
The Philadelphia Sixers hold on to beat the Utah Jazz. The Sixers were up by 26 points and the Jazz slowly fought their way back into the game. At the end of the day though, it was another win at home to improve to 10-0 at the Wells Fargo Center. Joel Embiid did not have his best night and he was in foul trouble by the end. You can credit Rudy Gobert for that. Tobias Harris was given the closer role in the fourth quarter and drilled some big buckets to stop the bleeding. He finished with 26 points and 9 rebounds. Al Horford was tremendous, specifically in the first quarter where he scored 12 points and had a monster chase down block on Bojan Bogdanovic. Ben Simmons had 14 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. He failed to hit a free throw. The Philadelphia Flyers take down the Montreal Canadiens in overtime thanks to Ivan Provorov and his filthy goal! He put the puck in between his legs from behind as he torched his opponent wide and took it hard to the net. He put it right by Keith Kindkaid. The Flyers got outshot and was not the better team. They were obviously tired from being on the second half of a back to back. That's what makes this more impressive. Also, they were down 19 seconds into the game since the Habs scored on their first shot of the game from the outside. It was a hard fought battle. Travis Konecny, Oskar Lindblom, and Kevin Hayes found the twine. Brian Elliott was solid! The Flyers won 10 games this month!

Eagles Do the Impossible, Lose to Miami & Ben Simmons STEALS the Win vs the Pacers!
The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the Miami Dolphins 37-31. Yikes. Jim Schwartz had a horrendous game as his defense allowed five straight touchdown drives and the sixth drive was a field goal. It did not help that Jalen Mills and Ronald Darby forgot they needed to actually compete. DeVante Parker abused both of them for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Ryan Fitzpatrick had 365 yards and three touchdown throws. Carson Wentz and the offense scored 31 points which should have been enough to win the game. He wasn't perfect, but he wasn't bad either. Alshon Jeffery had 137 yards and one touchdown. The issue I have with the offense is Doug Pederson forgetting the run game again. 46 throws to 19 run plays. That is truly pathetic and it is a consistent theme with Pederson. Zach Ertz dropped some big passes. One of those drops, changed the entire game and instead of a touchdown for the Birds it resulted in a missed field goal by Jake Elliot. The Dolphins scored a touchdown on the next drive. What an embarrassing loss. The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Indiana Pacers at home by a score of 119-116. It was very close and come down to the wire. Ben Simmons had three steals in 13.9 seconds to solidify the win. One steal led to a Tobias Harris slam which gave the Sixers a two-point lead with 9.9 seconds left. The second steal went to Harris as well, but this time he got fouled and made both free throws. Joel Embiid had 32 points and 11 rebounds. He went 15 for 15 at the charity stripe. Ben Simmons went seven for seven, too. Furkan Korkmaz made the starting lineup because Josh Richardson could not play and he got abused defensively. It was to the point where Brett Brown had to give James Ennis run in crunch time because of it.

The Eagles Need to be FOCUSED Down in Miami & NOT Overlook the Dolphins!
The Philadelphia Eagles head down to Miami to face the Dolphins this Sunday. At the time of this recording, Zach Ertz missed two straight practices. Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor, and Jordan Howard were all limited in practice. Howard is not cleared for contact though. This comes down to Carson Wentz and Doug Pederson leading this team with the proper mentality. The Birds can't assume they are just going to dominate because the Dolphins stink. With the way the Eagles have played offensively, they needed to go into the game with the understanding that being focused is important.

Embiid, Thybulle Lead Sixers Past Sacramento & Flyers Put Together a FULL TEAM Effort in Columbus!
The Philadelphia Sixers bounce back with a win against the Sacramento Kings. Joel Embiid responded to his zero point night with 33 points and 16 rebounds. Matisse Thybulle was the spark plug the team needed as he shot 100% from the floor with three three-pointers, four steals, and two blocks. Buddy Hield struggled big time when guarded by Thybulle. Ben Simmons took three jump shots and cashed in on one of them. If it means anything to you, all of them were fade aways. Josh Richardson left the game with hamstring tightness. The Sixers stay undefeated at home. I am happy with the win, but it takes me a few games to get over ugly losses. I am not over the way Toronto ended just because they took down a bad Kings team. The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Columbus Blue Jackets by a score of 3-2. This was a full team effort where everyone made important plays. Brian Elliott made huge saves late, Robert Hagg blocked shots, the fourth line produced, Claude Giroux scored the game winning goal, and more. The team is playing as one unit and they are all pulling in the same direction. We have not seen this out of the Flyers in a long time. After trailing 1-0, Tyler Pitlick scored a beauty which was assisted by James Van Riemsdyk and Michael Raffl. Sadly, one minute later, Seth Jones ripped a clapper and the Flyers were down 2-1 after the first period. In the second, Scott Laughton scored from a rifle pass off Joel Farabee's twig. Kevin Hayes also recorded an apple on that goal. JVR and Hayes needed to get on the score sheet. Giroux then finished the job on the power play to take the 3-2 lead. The third period was a test as the Blue Jackets came by storm, but the Flyers had enough to hold them off. Ivan Provorov made timely stick checks, Morgan Frost made an important defensive play. It was impressive all around!

Diving More Into the Eagles' Problems & Joel Embiid Scores ZERO Points!!!
The Philadelphia Eagles are struggling offensively as they could not move the ball against Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. Carson Wentz is having issues with his mechanics, but he is also not getting help from his coach, Doug Pederson, and his wide receivers. These are all facts. It can be true that Carson Wentz was bad and other parts of the team were bad. For Doug Pederson to put Andre Dillard at right tackle is absurd and his play calling is so vanilla, other teams know what is coming! It's a joke. Dan Orlovsky: https://twitter.com/danorlovsky7/status/1199055984938934273 The Philadelphia Sixers lose to the Toronto Raptors AGAIN in their building to keep the regular season losing streak alive. Joel Embiid did not score one point. You did not read that wrong. He was held scoreless. Toronto double teamed him every single time he touched the ball. With that being said, the Sixers had the chance to win, but the Raptors closed the game out with a 10-0 run. Ben Simmons had a costly turnover trying to hit Tobias Harris behind the defense on a very important possession. He had 14 assists, but recorded seven turnovers as well. With 6 seconds left, Simmons jacked up a turn-around three from super deep not understanding he could of made a smarter play. Josh Richardson continued to his strong play and Tobias did well also. This game goes on Embiid and Simmons. Pascal Siakam had a monster three-point play to take the lead in the fourth down the stretch. Fred Van-Vleet stepped up without Kyle Lowry in the lineup.

The Worst Game of Carson Wentz' Career & The Sixers Spoil Jimmy Butler's Return to Philadelphia!
The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the Seattle Seahawks. The offense was abysmal and Carson Wentz had the worst game of his entire career. He had four turnovers, throwing two interceptions and fumbling twice. Dallas Goedert fumbled the ball as well. It was a horrible game for Wentz and it's reasonable to ask the question, what is he? Doug Pederson was just as bad as Wentz, his playing calling and game planning was questionable. Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor did not play so Greg Ward got called up from practice squad and he did a good job. Russell WIlson was sacked six times, threw an interception, and the Seahawks fumbled twice, which the Eagles recovered one of them. With all of that happening, the Eagles offense failed to make anything happen.  The Philadelphia Sixers obliterated the Miami Heat in Jimmy Butler's return. They absolutely dominated their opposition and it was a joy to watch. It all started defensively as the Heat were only capable of scoring 13 points in the first quarter and 22 points in the second quarter. When the second half started, the Sixers came out hot and recorded 37 points of their own. Jimmy Butler heard BOOOOOOOOs all night long and ended with a -31 rating. He only registered 11 points with a poor shooting night. Ben Simmons was elite on the defensive side of the court and just as good when it came to facilitating the game. He only scored four points. Josh Richardson was the player of the game with 32 points and he knocked down three-pointers consistently. Joel Embiid had the crowd erupting and Tobias Harris stayed aggressive. Al Horford provided the veteran game we expect as fans. This was a great step in the right direction!

Eagles Seahawks Preview & Sixers Comfortably Take Down the Spurs!
The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday at 1:00. Lane Johnson has been ruled out and Andre DIllard will play the right side. Nelson Agholor, Jordan Howard, and Alshon Jeffery has been listed as questionable. Jay Ajayi might grab some playing time. Doug Pederson and Carson Wentz need to be better. I am intrigued by Jim Schwartz and his defense against an MVP type QB in Russell Wilson. The Philadelphia Sixers comfortably took down the San Antonio Spurs by a score of 115-104. The Sixers controlled the game and definitely did what they wanted to do on the floor. Josh Richardson was not in the lineup once again. Ben Simmons recorded his first triple double of the season. Tobias Harris had a fantastic night dropping 26 points. Joel Embiid was extremely efficient from the floor. Furkan Korkmaz hit some late three-pointers and finished with 17 points. I am getting a ton of heat because I still do not believe he is the guy long term for this team. Al Horford bounced back with 18 points of his own. The Sixers dominated on the glass and they recorded 32 assists. This is a weird way to see Gregg Popovich on the sidelines as the Spurs lose their eighth straight game.

Ben Simmons Drills a 3 Pointer in Victory & Carson Wentz Doesn't Need to be "Elite"
The Philadelphia Sixers come from behind to beat the New York Knicks. After a brutal third quarter and a massive run by the Knicks to take a 17 point lead, the Sixers fought back and picked up the intensity to squeak out the victory. Ben Simmons was special as he scored 18 points, recorded 13 rebounds, and had seven assists. He also knocked in his first three-pointer in a regular season game as the Knicks went to a zone and left him wide open in the corner. Al Horford struggled so much late that Brett Brown adjusted and put Mike Scott in the game down the stretch. Well, that was an extremely powerful move as he knocked down multiple threes from DEEP to help secure the win. A great night from the bench as Trey Burke, James Ennis, and Matisse Thybulle created some spark. The Philadelphia Eagles are now 5-5 on the season and Carson Wentz has not had his best season. I don't think that means his career is completely over because he hasn't been elite. I don't think he is elite and that's totally okay. He can be an above average QB and as long as the personnel is good, then the Eagles can be fine moving forward. That isn't the worst place to be as an organization. If Doug Pederson is better along with Wentz and Howie Roseman teammates, than playoff runs are possible for this organization. This sport is so year to year. Drew Brees was going under .500 and almost had Sean Payton fired just a couple years back. It's not the end of the word for Carson to have a season that isn't like 2017, but I get it, this is how being a QB for a city like Philadelphia works.

Eagles Insider, Geoff Mosher, Joins to Discuss the Current State of the Team after Losing to the Patriots
The Philadelphia Eagles lose to the New England Patriots by a score of 17-10. The offense was absolutely atrocious outside of one 10 minute drive which led to a touchdown. They went three and out consistently and had to punt the ball too much. Carson Wentz had his worst performance in a long time and so did Doug Pederson. The defense had a great game against Tom Brady. There is swagger with the corners now that Jalen Mills and Ronald Darby are playing confidently.

WOW the Eagles Offense was Awful against NE & the Sixers Get Back on Track!!
The Philadelphia Sixers dominate the Cleveland Cavaliers in a nice victory. They were fantastic defensively with led to their success early. In the first quarter the Sixers scored 68 points in the first half while holding the Cavs to only 44 points. Tobias Harris was very efficient with his 27 points as he clearly was the player of the game. I can't imagine this team shooting this well from the floor consistently, but I will take it any day of the week! This team needed to crush an opponent and that's what they do. Hopefully their confidence grows moving forward. Ben Simmons recorded a double double and had some really nice assists.

Previewing Eagles Patriots & the Sixers Lose in Overtime to OKC!!!
The Philadelphia Eagles take on the New England Patriots on Sunday afternoon. Somehow the Eagles got more banged up over their bye week... Alshon Jeffery is ruled out and it looks like Jordan Howard is hurt. They signed Jay Ajayi from free agency since Darren Sproles hit the IR and will most likely his career is over. I am not sure how the Eagles will move the ball. Bill Belichick will take away the Eagle's strongest players in their tight ends and run game. These receivers are awful. I do think the Birds D can hang with the Pats offense though. Tom Brady hasn't been his true self when pressured. The Philadelphia Sixers lose in overtime to the Oklahoma City Thunder. This was not a pretty performance. Brett Brown failed to call a timeout for the Sixers' final possession in regulation which resulted in a Joel Embiid jumper when he had the ability to take Steve Adams to the rack. Ben Simmons in 46 minutes had eight field goal attempts. That is so unacceptable. In overtime, when Tobias Harris fouled out, Brown put in Furkan Korkmaz who got absolutely abused by the Thunder. Tobias Harris bounced back with 21 points and Josh Richardson dropped 28. The Sixers are supposed to be this elite defensive team and the Thunder shot over 53% from the field. Chris Paul scored 27 points and Danilo Gallinari scored 28.

Sixers Lose in Orlando...... & Flyers Battle HARD in Shootout Loss to Capitals!
The Philadelphia Sixers lose to the Orlando Magic 112-97. Joel Embiid was being rested for load management since it was the second game of their back to back. The fourth quarter was awful as the Sixers were outscored 32-15. Turnovers were a problem, which is nothing new, and Tobias Harris struggled again. He only recorded 8 points and did not hit one three-pointer. The team can't hit anything from deep as they only shot 26.7% from three. They also only had one free throw late in the third quarter. Ben Simmons and Harris both ended the game with zero free throws. As a team, they shot 69% from the charity stripe which is a joke. I thought Ben Simmons had a good night and Josh Richardson was okay. James Ennis and Kyle O'Quinn provided spark off the bench, but reality is, what a terrible loss. The Philadelphia Flyers keep their point streak alive as they lose in a shootout to the Washington Capitals. I figured this was going to be a loss because let's be real, there was no way the Flyers were going to win THREE STRAIGHT SHOOTOUTS, am I right? The Capitals dominated the first period by a long shot. For the Flyers to battle as hard as they did, I was very impressed. Carter Hart had a spectacular performance once again and he truly deserves a ton of praise. In the third period, the Flyers finally capitalized on a powerplay thanks to Jake Voracek dishing the biscuit over the Claude Giroux to tie the game. Sean Couturier hit the pipe in overtime, Matt Niskanen had a good chance, and the squad controlled the puck for majority of the three on three session. At the end of the day, they lost the skills competition, but the effort was there as they played inspired hockey. Also something to note, the Flyers penalty killed kept Alex Ovechkin, TJ Oshie, Evgeny Kutznetsov, and their weapons off the board.

Sixers Squeak Out a Win Against the Cavs & Eagles Bye Week is Over!
The Philadelphia Sixers squeaked out a victory down the stretch to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 98-97. Joel Embiid led the way with 27 points, 16 rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and one steal. The team shot 21.2% from three going eight for 38. Tobias Harris missed 11 threes and did not connect on one. It was a really tough night shooting for him. Josh Richardson missed seven of his eight three attempts. The Sixers only turned the ball over four times in the first half, but ended with too many which is a common theme for this team. Ben Simmons returned to the lineup and he clearly was a difference maker. Down the wire, he defended Kevin Love in the post and beat him on a jump ball which most point guards can not do! To win the game, Brett Brown dialed up a beautiful play which resulted with Joel Embiid getting a bucket down low. The Sixers did need to hold their breath as Kevin Love had a chance from three to tie the game with a good look, but he hit iron.  The Philadelphia Eagles' bye week is now over. It is time to focus on the New England Patriots and Tom Brady. I have no clue what to expect out of this team. I actually enjoyed the bye week because I was sick and tired of hearing about the brutal wide receivers. They are so embarrassing and I understand why the conversation was drilled into everyones head, but I needed fresh air. Now we are back and so is the discussion, which is fair. Will Jordan Matthews be enough? (Insert laugh here)

Sixers Snap 3 game Losing Skid & Flyers IMPRESSIVE Win in Boston!
The Philadelphia Sixers snapped their three game losing skid and beat the Charlotte Hornets by a score of 114-106. The Sixers did their job. They had to win the game and that's what happened. Ben Simmons was still not in the lineup so Raul Neto got another start. The only issue with this game was the second quarter where the Sixers fell asleep and the Hornets outscored them by 14 points. After the halftime, the Sixers took back control of the game. The scoring was so balanced throughout the entire starting lineup to the bench. Furkan Korkmaz dropped 17 points and was getting doubled team. DOUBLED TEAMED! How amazing is his story?!  The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Boston Bruins in a shootout! They snagged four points in a back to back road trip, in Toronto and in Boston. This is VERY impressive! Carter Hart came up so big down the stretch. He saved David Pastrnak on a penalty shot and also made three huge saves at the end of the third period as the Bruins had a powerplay. The Flyers actually had a 2-0 lead after the first period as Travis Konecny netted the first goal and Phil Myers continued his hot stretch by scoring the second. Konecny actually assisted Myers goal and Sean Couturier recorded assists on both. In the third, Boston had a wave of momentum that resulted in two goals to tie the scoring. The game could not be finished in overtime so after Joel Farabee scored a disgusting shootout goal, Carter Hart did what he needed on his end, including closing the door on David Pastrnak again.

Sixers Blow 21 Point Lead in 4th Quarter to Denver......... & Flyers Win in Overtime over the Habs!
The Philadelphia Sixers lose their third straight as they fall to the Denver Nuggets 100-97. The Sixers were leading by 21 points and blew it in the fourth quarter. Ben Simmons was not in the lineup due to injury. This was totally unacceptable! Nikola Jokic drilled the game winning  shot with one second left after great defense by the Sixers. Joel Embiid had an awful game and I expect way better out of him! Al Horford struggled big time, only shooting 3 of 12 from the field. Josh Richardson recorded three points and Mike Scott made one field goal in 19 minutes of run. Brett Brown deserves blame and so does Tobias Harris for not being aggressive enough. A couple players did alright as Trey Burke, Raul Neto, and Kyle O'Quinn did their job. Matisse Thybulle did not check in for any minutes. There were a few terrible calls made by the refs late, but that was not the reason the Sixers blew the game.  The Philadelphia Flyers win in overtime 3-2 against the Montreal Canadiens to improve to 8-5-2 on the season! Carey Price almost stole the game for the Habs, but the Flyers never gave up. To start the scoring in the first period, Phillipe Myers put a wrister on net from the blue line that beat Price. Under one minute into the second period, James Van Riemsdyk scores a goal from the door step. Carter Hart allowed a bad rebound after the Flyers pumped Price with a bunch of great scoring chances for the Habs to cut the lead to 2-1. Shea Weber, in the third, responded with a goal off a Flyers turnover in the defensive zone to tie the game. Carsen Twarynski was rewarded a penalty shot late in the third period, but couldn't find the back of the net. In overtime, Sean Couturier squeaks one past Price to win the game. Philly went 0 for 6 on the powerplay.

Ben Simmons Leaves Injured in Sixers Loss to Utah & Flyers Take Down the Hurricanes!!
The Philadelphia Sixers lose their second game in a row and fall in Utah by a score of 106-104. The score does not tell the story. First of all, Ben Simmons left the game 10 minutes in with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder. He will be reevaluated on Thursday. The Sixers got abused on the glass and the Jazz outworked them completely. Joel Embiid returned with 27 points and 16 rebounds, but the team is clearly struggling to get other players involved when he is clogging up the middle offensively. Tobias Harris struggled until the fourth when Embiid wasn't in the paint as much. Al Horford shot 3 of 13 after a couple games of being a threat on that side of the court. Donovan Mitchell recorded 24 points, but he took 23 shots. Josh Richardson had his best game as a Sixers with 24 points of his own. They had a chance to beat the Jazz late, but came up short down the stretch with mental errors. I thought they played awful even though the final score didn't show it. The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Carolina Hurricanes by a score of 4-1. Carolina definitely controlled the game for the first 40 minutes, but Carter Hart stood on his head. It was a remarkable performance by the young netminder. The Flyers scored first thanks to Matt Niskanen throwing a puck on net and Sean Couturier getting his stick on it to take an early lead on the power play. About six minutes into the second, Carolina responded to tie the game on a goal with some nice puck movement. The third period was all Flyers. They scored three goals thanks to Travis Konecny, Joel Farabee, and Claude Giroux. It was one of those games where they didn't control the game, but came out on top. It seems like they were rewarded after being on the other side of a couple games like this earlier in the season.

Desean Jackson Needs Surgery & Ben Simmons NO SHOW in Phoenix
The Philadelphia Eagles have informed the fan base that Desean Jackson is going to get surgery. I believe the Eagles made a mistake with how they handled the situation. The Philadelphia Sixers lose their first game of the season in Phoenix against the Suns. Devin Booker scored 40 points on 19 shots... he was absolutely sensational. Joel Embiid did not play as he was serving the last game of his suspension. Al Horford had a monster game scoring 32 points, Tobias stepped up, and even Furkan Korkmaz was involved with 20 points. Ben Simmons put on a performance that was unacceptable. He went two of eight from the field with six points and only went to the free throw line one time. The Suns put Aron Baynes on Simmons which clearly frustrated him. I am not too upset they lost a game, it was just disappointing watching Simmons be that bad. He did record seven steals, but that is a flawed stat when describing his play against the Suns.

The Eagles Hold on to Beat Chicago 22-14 & Furkan Korkmaz Hits the Game Winner!!
The Philadelphia Eagles hold on to beat the Chicago Bears 22-14 to go into the bye week with a 5-4 record. The Eagles had a 12-0 lead after the first half as they completely dominated. The Bears had one passing yard, nine total yards, and only converted one first down. The Birds came out in the second half with a beautiful drive to take a 19 point lead. From there, the Bears took shots down field and found a way to move the ball. Mitch Tribusky connected with Taylor Gabriel that later resulted in a David Montgomery touchdown. Then, Montgomery scored his second touchdown of the game. Suddenly, that 19 point lead was cut to five. In the fourth quarter, Carson Wentz and the Eagles offense converted on four third downs and finished the game off by burning the clock. Alshon Jeffery had a weird game as he dropped three big passes. Zach Ertz had a big game with nine catches for over 100 yards. Doug Pederson was..... eh. The biggest takeaway is, the Eagles are over .500 heading into the bye with the NFC East still in play. The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Portland Trail Blazers 129-128 in a very entertaining basketball game. The Sixers would consistently be down double digits, but would crawl back to a three or four point deficit. Portland would always respond as they knocked down 19 three-pointers and shot 54% from behind the arc. They would always respond, except for one time, the most important time. Ben Simmons went to the free throw line, down one point with 10 seconds left, and drilled BOTH with excellent form. He looked super confident in that moment after having a very so-so game. On the other end, Damian Lillard passed out to Anfernee Simons who hit a dagger three to take a two point lead. Little did everyone know, Furkan Korkmaz with .4 seconds left after Brett Brown drew up a beautiful play, would hit the game winning three point shot. WHAT A GAME! The Sixers are 5-0.

Eagles Bears Preview & Joel Embiid's 2 Game Suspension!
The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Chicago Bears at Lincoln Financial Field this Sunday at 1:00. It is the first home game in a long time so the fans will be extra! Perfect. I think the Eagles offense will finally click if Desean Jackson is able to go. Right now, he is listed as questionable and Doug Pederson claims he is optimistic. Carson Wentz and this running game can be effective and open up the play action. The Bears defense is legit, but it is beatable, as long as the Birds don't turn the ball over. Matt Nagy and Mitch Trubisky are a mess now offensively so I can't see them scoring too many points! The Philadelphia Sixers take down the Minnesota Timberwolves and dominate to stay undefeated. Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns get into a fight and both were ejected. Ben Simmons put KAT in a headlock so there would be no more tussling going on. Mike Scott loved every minute of it. Both players have been suspended for 2 games. Ben Simmons receives no punishment.

Joel Embiid KAT Fight & Nationals Win the World Series.....
The Philadelphia Sixers take down the Minnesota Timberwolves and dominate to stay undefeated. Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns get into a fight and both were ejected. We are now waiting to see what the suspensions will be. Ben Simmons put KAT in a headlock so there would be no more tussling going on. Mike Scott loved every minute of it. But let's get to the actual game. The Sixers dominated. They dominated on the glass, defensively, and offensively. Robert Covington made his return to Philadelphia and he looked the exact same. He couldn't put the ball on the floor or shoot very well.  The washington nationals beat the Houston Astros in game 7 to win the world series. What a fantastic ride and it was very enjoyable to watch. Anthony Rendon, Juan Soto, Max Scherzer, and all of their staff put together an amazing run at the championship. Poor Bryce Harper..... From a Phillies fan , this is a nightmare, but as a sports fan this was great! The Houston Astros had so many chances to put more runs on the board, all throughout the series, but couldn't. AJ Hinch managed a pathetic game 7. WHAT A SERIES!!!

TRIFECTA: Eagles Stay Quiet, Sixers Escape Atlanta, & Flyers Embarrassed By Penguins...
The Philadelphia Eagles, Howie Roseman, and the entire NFL stayed quiet during the trade deadline. It was obvious to me that GMs just have no clue what the market is right now so everyone is asking for way too much for specific players. I am not mad at Howie Roseman for not acquiring anyone. It is not worth giving up the future for someone who will be here for more than the rest of this season. It's not worth a second round draft pick for 8 more games.... The Philadelphia Sixers stole a win against the Atlanta Hawks by winning 105-103. Joel Embiid dominated with 36 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. He dunked on John Collins and it was beautiful! Embiid was also 10 for 10 at the charity stripe, where he came up clutch to take the lead thanks to a great play design by Brett Brown. The Sixers had a high low play set up between Al Horford and Embiid which lead to his clutch free throws. Prior to that, when the Sixers were up three points with nine seconds left, Brett Brown wanted to foul Trae Young on purpose so he would not drain a three.  He hit the first free throw and the second rolled out of the rim, tipped by Collins, and the Hawks tied the game. Things were very funky down the stretch. The Sixers did this all shorthanded, without Mike Scott who was ejected for a bogus flagrant two call and Shake Milton after leaving the game with an injury. The Philadelphia Flyers lose their second straight game by falling to the Pittsburgh Penguins 7-1. This was an embarrassment. The Flyers looked absolutely lost in the defensive zone, threw pucks everywhere, and came out flat. How is that possible against the PITTSBURGH PENGUINS?!?!?! Brian Elliot was pulled after the second period when the score was 6-0. The blame doesn't go on him as the team was in shambles in the d zone. There are too many players that have a confidence issue at the moment. Alain Vigneault sure has his work cut out for him.

Eagles RUN OVER the Bills & Sixers Grind Out a Win in Detroit!!
The Philadelphia Eagles run all over the Buffalo Bills to keep the season alive. The Birds win the football game by a score of 31-13 to improve to a 4-4 record. Jordan Howard was a monster, recording 96 yards on 23 carries, and Miles Sanders ran for a 65 yard touchdown. Carson Wentz made big time plays, no bigger than a fourth quarter drive that took over eight minutes off the clock and resulted in a touchdown that took the Bills out of the game. The defense forced Josh Allen to lose the football three times, but the Eagles only recovered it once. That one time was a difference maker in the game as Dallas Goedert recorded a touchdown right before half to take the lead. The weather was not the best, which forced Doug Pederson to run a ton, but this result could potentially change the season.  The Philadelphia Sixers beat the Detroit Pistons without Joel Embiid. It definitely wasn't a pretty win, but down the stretch, the Sixers made big time plays. Tobias Harris dropped 16 points in the third quarter and finished with 29 total. Ben Simmons and Al Horford played a two-man game in the fourth that was unreal. Mike Scott hit five three-pointers off the bench. Kyle O'Quinn supplied energy and Shake Milton made a couple shots. The first half was atrocious, but when it mattered, the team created chances and knocked them down.

Eagles Look to Break Tables in Buffalo & Phillies Hire Joe Girardi!
The Philadelphia Eagles will look to get back on track in Buffalo against the Bills. They have played horrendous football the last 2 games in Minnesota and in Dallas. The drama in locker room about fletcher cox, carson wentz, doug pederson, nelson agholor, and alshon jeffery has annoyed the hell out of me. make it stop! The Philadelphia Phillies hire Joe Girardi as their new manager. This is the perfect mix of analytics and old school. Also, this is a new tone in the club house. He will be your friend, your manager, and your disciplinarian. The culture has completely changed from what Gabe Kapler. Girardi is very experienced, managing for 10 years for the Yankees and 1 year with the Marlins where he won NL Manager of the Year with a horrible record. He has been around the game for so long and he is super passionate about the sport. This is what the Phillies need, now it is time to go get the players to support him because without talent, we are still going nowhere.

INSTANT REACTION: Sixers Take Down the Celtics in Season Opener!
The Philadelphia Sixers took down the Boston Celtics in the first game of the season. The offense wasn't pretty as the 76ers missed a bunch of shots, but their defensive intensity was clearly an issue for the Celtics. Kemba Walker couldn't find anything as he shot 4-18 from the field. This is the same Kemba Walker who went off scoring 60 points on the Sixers last season. Ben Simmons was unbelievable recording 24 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. Joel Embiid recorded a double double and all of the starting five for Philadelphia scored double digit points. It was a definitely an impressive win and something to build off of! Record: 1-0

The Sixers Season Tips Off & the Flyers CRUSH the Golden Knights!!
The Philadelphia Sixers start the season against the Boston Celtics down at the Wells Fargo Center. There is no other way I would want the season to kick off! I can't wait to watch this 82 game regular season and the playoff journey! How will Ben Simmons be with the addition of his jump shot? How will Joel Embiid dominate this year? What will Al Horford's veteran presence bring? How about Matisse Thybulle's defense!! It will be so much fun to watch this team grind every game!! The Philadelphia Flyers dominated the Vegas Golden Knights 6-2 to snap their four game losing streak. Alain Vigneault switched up the lines up front and it worked out tremendously. James Van Riemsdyk moved to the first line as Claude Giroux moved to center. Joel Farabee made his NHL debut and hopped on the third line with Kevin Hayes and Scott Laughton. Couturier moved to the second line to play with Oskar Lindblom and Jakub Voracek. The fourth line was huge with Michael Raffl recording three points. This was an example of having four lines rolling! Brian Elliot was a stud in between the pipes and the Flyers just came out and took care of business from the jump. Record: 3-3-1

INSTANT REACTION: Eagles Play Uninspired Football In Dallas......
The Philadelphia Eagles get blown out by the Dallas Cowboys 37-10. Everyone was awful. Doug Pederson, Mike Groh, Jim Schwartz, Carson Wentz, Nelson Agholor, Lane Johnson, you name someone and they had a bad night for the Eagles. The team played uninspired football and that is my biggest problem. Sure, it is okay to be upset with Xs and Os, but when the team doesn't even get up to play against the Cowboys, there is a bigger issue. Another slow start early and another game where the Birds had a deficit of 10 or more points. Specifically, it was 14-0 only six minutes into the game after a Dallas Goedert fumble and Carson Wentz getting stripped. Time to rebuild this thing!

Do the Eagles or Cowboys Have More Pressure Sunday Night? | Flyers Lose 4th Straight Game......
The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football for first place in the NFC East. I ask the question, who has more pressure on them to win the game? This is essentially a battle between 2 struggling teams right now and something has to give. Doug Pederson, Carson Wentz, and this offense has no rhythm, but the Cowboys defense hasn't been the best. On the other hand, the Eagles corners have been the worst in the football and that's going to play a factor. Since the Cowboys are playing Amari Cooper, their tackles, and some other banged up players, it smells like desperation move to me. They know how important this game is. Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot, Jason Garrett, and the Cowboys know they can't lose 4 straight. They just can't. The Philadelphia Flyers lose to the Dallas Stars by a score of 4-1. This is now their fourth straight loss. Even though they out shot the Stars 39-16, there was not enough scoring chances since majority of pucks thrown on net were from the outside. The Flyers scored one minute into the game with a beautiful passing sequence from Claude Giroux, Travis Konecny, and Sean Couturier, but from there it was quiet. Carter Hart had a weaker game while Ben Bishop was phenomenal. Corey Perry recorded three point for the desperate Stars looking for their second win.

Eagles Cowboys Preview Ruined By Carson Wentz Criticism from Anonymous Source! | Flyers Fall 6-3 to the Edmonton Oilers!
The Philadelphia Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys this Sunday night and here is the preview. The problem is, most of the discussion was about how Carson Wentz is being criticized by an "Eagles source" for not checking the ball down enough? This is now the second year in a row and it's clearly a horrendous statement made about him. The Philadelphia Flyers lose 6-3 to the Edmonton Oilers. They finish their west coast road trip with an 0-2-1 record. Connor McDavid had five points and displayed his greatness. Leon Draisaitl had three points and was a key factor as well. Carter Hart on the other hand, had a tough night as he returned to his home town. He was yanked after allowing four goals on 14 shots. The Flyers actually dominated for a long time in the second period, being down one goal, and it felt as if they would eventually tie it. Once McDavid made it a two goal game, the Oilers pounded a few more in the net and it was all over. Jakub Voracek had three points and the Flyers scored some late goals that didn't mean anything. They had a total of 52 shots, but that is a flawed number. This game got embarrassing when it was 6-1 and felt like last year.  Record: 2-2-1

Eagles Miss Out on Jalen Ramsey & Flyers Look Dreadful in Loss to Calgary!
the Philadelphia Eagles miss out on Jalen Ramsey. Ramsey gets traded to the Los Angeles Rams for 2 first round draft picks and a 4th rounder. Would you do it? I would have, but I also understand not doing it.Also, Doug Pederson guarantees a victory in Dallas? I feel a weird tone out of Doug lately......... The Philadelphia Flyers drop their first game in regulation to the Calgary Flames by a score of 3-1. This game was dreadful. The Flyers had zero energy and looked lethargic. I hate to admit it, but this reminded me of the Dave Hakstol era. Due to a back to back situation, Carter Hart did not play and Brian Elliot was in between the pipes. He did a fine job as the third goal was an empty netter. Travis Konecny recorded another point as he assisted Matt Niskanen's goal. They did show fight in the third period, but the first two periods were awful. I think they iced the puck 5,693 times.

INSTANT REACTION: The Eagles Get Embarrassed by the Vikings 38-20...
The Philadelphia Eagles get embarrassed by the Minnesota Vikings 38-20. The defensive backs were abused all night long. Rasul Douglas, Sidney Jones, and Craig James were useless. Stefon Diggs, Kirk Cousins, and Adam Thielen had a field day against this defense. The Eagles did a reasonable job stopping Dalvin Cook. It didn't help that Doug Pederson had arguably his worst game as a coach. He tried a fake field goal at the end of the first half and decided to have Jake Elliot throw the ball instead of getting three points. Carson Wentz struggled at times, but also made good plays. He has no help with the skill players. It's bad when their best receiving  weapon is Miles Sanders.

FOOTBALL FRIDAY: The Eagles Head to Minnesota to Face the Vikings!
The Philadelphia Eagles are heading to Minnesota to face the Vikings. This has become an awesome rivalry, of course, based off of the NFC Championship game a few years ago. To win the game, the Eagles need to find a way to stop Dalvin Cook and force Kirk Cousins to throw the ball to Diggs and Thielen. Can the DBs hold up though? Jordan Howard needs to be the lead back and Doug Pederson will have to be creative since the WRs are not getting available.

BREAKING NEWS: Gabe Kapler FIRED!!
The Phillies fire Gabe Kapler and it is a beautiful thing. John Middleton stepped over Matt Klentak and decided to pull the trigger. This was the start of what we needed. The problem is, Matt Klentak is going to be choosing the new manager and that is scary. He is clearly a big problem. Chris Young has been fired as pitching coach as well. This should be an interesting offseason.... You can argue it is just as big as last winter!

Ben Simmons Hits First Career 3 Pointer & Flyers Game 2: Carter Hart Records First Career Shutout!
First Half: The Philadelphia Sixers took on Guangzhou Long-lions and completely destroyed them. Who cares. Ben Simmons hit his first career 3 pointer and that is all that matters!!! I also look at some of the other players like Matisse Thybulle, Josh Richardson, Al Horford, and more. Second Half: The Philadelphia Flyers beat the New Jersey Devils 4-0 in their home opener. Carter Hart records his first career shutout and he was something special tonight! The Flyers had plenty of chances to blow the Devils out. They took a 1-0 lead thanks to Ivan Provorov on the powerplay., In the second period, on a 5 on 3 penalty kill, Carter Hart made the game changing save. He went from post to post and flashed the leather to steal a goal from Taylor Hall on a one timer! From there, the Flyers entered the third period with the lead and scored three times. Kevin Hayes recorded his first goal as a Flyer, Sean Couturier netted one, and Travis Konecny continues to stay hot with a gift off a turnover. The Flyers are off to a hot start!

Eagles: Time to Turn the Page! | Sixers: Ben Simmons Hates Matisse Thybulle's Defense!
Part 1: The Philadelphia Eagles beat down on the Jets and it's time to turn the page. Yes, I was underwhelmed with the offense, but I have also seen this offense be perfectly fine before... specifically... in Green Bay against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Is Jordan Howard now the lead back? Is Derek Barnett a bad player? Part 2: The Sixers have their first preseason game tonight, but this morning, we look at Matisse Thybulle and how much praise is he getting defensively! Brett Brown, Ben Simmons, Al Horford, and others are so impressed. I discuss other news throughout the organization right now as well.

THE MORNING AFTER: The Eagles Defense Handles Business against the Jets & the Offense Underwhelmed..
It's the morning after the Eagles & Jets game. The Philadelphia Eagles beat the New York Jets 31-6. The Jets are a horrendous football team with zero structure. They do not deserve to be on the field in the National Football League. That is why I can't take too much out of the defense getting 10 sacks and scoring two touchdowns. With that being said, they can only control what is in front of them. Brandon Graham had three sacks, Nate Gerry recorded a pick six, and Rodney Mcleod had an interception. Orlando Scandrick scored a touchdown as well. The offense was the most disappointing for me. Carson Wentz and these play makers have to dominate more than they did against a team that can barely play.

Eagles vs Jets Preview! | Flyers Game 1: 4-3 Win over Chicago & Konecny Scores 2 Goals!
First half: The Philadelphia Eagles take on the New York Jets sunday afternoon. This shouldn't even be close. I expect Doug Pederson and Carson Wentz to abuse this dumpster fire football team in New York. This shouldn't even be a battle. I don't care that we have the worst pass defense in the football. Without Sam Darnold, this secondary shouldn't allow a damn thing! Second half: The Philadelphia Flyers win their first game of the year by a score of 4-3 against the Chicago Blackhawks. Travis Konecny was the star of the game, scoring two goals and both were beautiful. Oskar Lindblom tallied a flukey goal as the shot hit the post and redirected off a Blackhawks defender skating towards the net. The defense was clearly better than what we saw last season with the veterans making smart plays. Carter Hart did enough, although I think he can be better. It was just game one, but I loved the speed and the style the Flyers played with!

John Middleton Might Be Clearing House, Firing Gabe Kapler & Matt Klentak!! | The Philadelphia Flyers Season Preview!!
The first half of this podcast: The Phillies owner, John Middleton, is taking time deciding if he should fire Gabe Kapler or not. According to Jayson Stark, it seems like the news will not be out until next week. I see this as a positive. Middleton is looking around the organization, to guys he can trust, and asking questions on how the season went with Kap. Matt Klentak is clearly in favor of bringing him back and if Middleton needs to jump over his GM, well, then there is a problem there as well. The second half of this podcast: The Philadelphia Flyers season starts tomorrow, Friday, against the Blackhawks in another country. I have expectations for this team to be in the playoffs behind Alain Vigneault, Carter Hart, Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek, JVR, Kevin Hayes, and more.

Eagles Cornerback Issues & Jalen Ramsey Trade Offer Not Enough!
On episode 34 of the podcast, I was joined by Philly500 as we discussed the issues right now at cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles. We break down the trade offer Howie Roseman called up the Jags with, but Jacksonville apparently declined. According to BGN, he offered a 1st and 2nd round pick. Also, we broke down the conversation Duce Staley had, in terms of our running back by committee.

Eagles Take Down the Packers!! | Jordan Howard & Miles Sanders RUN HARD & Carson Wentz Delivers!
I was joined by Dan Robinson, aka Shelfy. The Eagles go into Green bay on a short week and take down the Packers on Thursday Night Football! Carson Wentz and the offense put together amazing drives by running the football. WOW! Who knew that running the ball was so effective?! The defense got abused by Aaron Rodgers for over 400 yards, but late, they came up with a goal line stand and an interception in the end zone by Nigel Bradham. What a gritty performance by the Birds. Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard with fantastic games and showed what they are truly capable of doing.Doug Pederson is now 4-0 on Thursday night games.

Eagles Drop the Ball against the Lions In 27-24 Loss at HOME!!
The Eagles lost to the Detroit Lions at home as they were not focused and disciplined all game long. Carson Wentz delivered a ball to JJ Arcega-Whiteside at the goal line with the game on the line and he dropped it. This was a common theme as the receivers dropped a total of seven balls, but that's not all! Miles Sanders fumbled the ball twice (one was recovered by the Eagles) and Nelson Agholor fumbled as well. There were three offensive pass interference calls against the birds and they allowed a special teams touchdown on their first kickoff of the game after taking a 3-0 lead on the first offensive possession. This was a pathetic loss and with a short week, things will get interesting.

Eagles Battle HARD, But Fall to the Falcons 24-20!
The Eagles lost a legit battle in Atlanta by a score of 24-20. It was another slow start for Carson Wentz and this offense as they failed to score points in the first quarter once again. The players were dropping like flies. Desean Jackson, Dallas Goedert, Alshon Jeffery, Corey Clement, Tim Jernigan all left the game and did not return. Jason Kelce, Carson Wentz, Sidney Jones, Nelson Agholor, and others went into the tent and missed plays. Jim Schwartz brought a ton of pressure on Matt Ryan which changed the game, until it didn't. After the Eagles took a 20-17 lead thanks to Carson Wentz making insane plays, Matt Ryan realized the blitz and hit Julio Jones on a screen which went to the house. The Falcons never looked back. This was a tough loss, but I am not discouraged!

Eagles Head Down South to Take on the Falcons!!
This is a solo pod discussing what I think will happen this Sunday when the Eagles head down to Atlanta to take on the Falcons. I believe the Birds will get the job done as long as Doug Pederson and Carson Wentz continue to thrive. My biggest concern is the fact that our corner backs are not strong and the Falcons have some weapons. For example, Julio Jones, Ridley, and Sanu. If Matt Ryan has a great game he can expose our lack of talent in the secondary.

Eagles Comeback Down 17 to Beat the Redskins!!
I was joined by Shelfy, Dan Robinson, to discuss the Eagles first week matchup against the Redskins. The first half was awful, but the second was beautiful. Carson Wentz was amazing throwing for 313 yards and 3 touchdowns. Desean Jackson, WELCOME BACK TO PHILADELPHIA!!! He recorded 154 yards and 2 touchdowns. The question mark for this team is the cornerbacks as they did not look so hot against Case Keenum...

The Phillies Seriously Do It to Us Again & Lose ANOTHER Series vs the Marlins....
In this solo podcast, I breakdown the Phillies & Marlins series a little bit deeper. Why do you ask? Because I hate this team so much and I can't get this terrible season out of my head. It is all I think about. Why are they this bad? I can't believe they are 7-9 against the WORST team in the National League. I also can't believe we are still in the NL WC hunt!! It's a disgrace to the sport of baseball!!

MLB Trade Deadline: Astros Acquire Zack Greinke & Other Moves Around the League!
The MLB Trade deadline came & went. The biggest trade of the day was clearly Zack Greinke going to the Houston Astros to join Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole. The Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals improved their bullpen. Trevor Bauer was traded for the Indians to the Reds. Thor stays with the Mets & Stroman joins that pitching staff. Yankees, Dodgers, and Red Sox made no moves!

Phillies LOSE 2 of 3 to the Atlanta Braves at Home & Future Deadline Moves!!!
Phillies lose 2 of 3 to the Atlanta Braves is a BIG series at home. They got blown out in the first 2 games with pathetic efforts on the diamond that PISSED ME OFF! In game 3, they salvaged the series thanks to a great outing by Aaron Nola and an explosive offensive outting. JT Realmuto hit a grand slam, Bryce Harper, Rhys Hoskins and Adam Haseley hit home runs.

Phillies Split 4-Game Series with the Dodgers!
The Phillies split their 4-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers. After getting their butts whooped 16-2 in game 1, Bryce Harper had his best moment as a Phillie, recording his first walk off with the team in the second game. Game 3 was a throwaway with a CRAP lineup and Game 4 reminded me of the way the Phils played in April! Overall, this split with the best team in baseball, had a ton of positive moments. Let's see if this team can build off the energy.
