The locks flopped and the hammers got screwed but we're only 2 weeks into the NFL season. Nick (@CallMeNAP33) and Jack (@ColtMcAdams) have vowed to dust themselves off and are reloading for the Week 3 slate of games. The Bills are on a rampage but can they keep it up? Week 1 is officially in the rearview mirror and Nick and Cooney's sights are squarely on Week 2. What a wild, wild wildcard weekend! Well, some games were wilder than others. Echoing what we saw in the College Football Playoffs, there were some serious blow outs in the first round. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas Chiefs obliterated the Steelers' hopes and dreams in dramatic fashion. Josh Allen led the Buffalo Bills to victory over Bill Belichek and the Patriots with what was essentially a perfect game (if football had such a stat). The Los Angeles Rams destroyed divisional opponent the Arizona Cardinals in a pretty lopsided affair as well. The NFL playoffs are finally here! Week 18 had some surprises, along with more than a couple of sure things, but now all bets are off. First up on the slate is the Derek Carr and the Las Vegas Raiders heading to Cincinatti to take on Joe Burrow's Bengals. Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened :) It's hard not to be sentimental as we head into the 18th and final week of NFL football. We've seen a lot of firsts this year, including NFL Week 18 in general, but let's think about some of the more memorable moments. We saw Jonathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts rush for 5 touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills. We also saw a crazy windy game in Buffalo where Mac Jones and the New England Patriots attempted only 3 passes, as New England went on to win 14-10 over the Bills. My personal favorite this year has for sure has been seeing Ja'Marr Chase lighting the Cincinnati Bengals offense on fire as he and QB Joe Burrow led the Bengals to winning the AFC North. Better late than never! NFL Week 17 saw some wild upsets and a huge number of double digit underdogs battle it out. Antonio Brown rage quit down 2 scores agains the Jets (hey, who wouldn't?) and is no longer a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Aaron Rodgers led his Green Bay Packers to another 1st seed in the NFC playoff race but the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams both hung on this week and are hot on his heels. Tonight, on Monday Night Football, Baker Mayfield leads the Cleveland Browns to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers in what will likely be Ben Roethlisberger's last home game. The Browns, of course, are now officially out of the playoff picture following the Chargers win over Denver, but will the play spoiler on Big Ben's last home stand as a Steeler? The Brians return with another episode of the Spread Option, College Football edition. Week 11 went fairly well for the guys, B-Fox posted a 17-16 record but lost his lock, B-Frank on the flip side posted 14-8-1 record and hit his lock in back-to-back weeks by respecting the troops. Week 12 has three big ranked games with Michigan State-Ohio State, Arkansas-Alabama, and Oregon-Utah. B-Fox is back at it with a 32 play card while B-Frank has opted for a more modest 22 play card and they cover a lot of different games.

Do you hear that? That's the sound of both B-Fox and B-Frank cashing their locks! For the first time since Week 6, both nailed their locks. B-Fox used that momentum to turn in a decent week, while B-Frank kept falling short all across the board on Saturday. With that in mind, B-Fox upped his game to 33 picks (!) while B-Frank pulled back to a conservative 23. Every underdog has his day... Truer words have never been spoken. It's now 2 weeks straight of absolutely wild upsets and huge numbers of underdogs sneaking in a backdoor cover. Jordan Love had his first start with the Green Bay Packers, filling in for a COVID-striken Aaron Rodgers and somehow managed to cover against a surging Kansas City Chiefs defense. Trevor Lawrence led his Jaguars to a major upset over Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills that left Bills Mafia stunned. And of course, the very controversial prime time matchup between the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers that was largely decided by the referees, but still ended up with Da Bears covering the spread of 6.5 points. Overall, it was a wild week for NFL football but the beauty of this game is that we start with a fresh slate every week. Do the underdogs have too long of a leash this week? It was a wild week, yet again, in College Football in Week 7 and the guys survived. Both came away with winning records and both had their locks fall short. On to the next as they say and that's why we've got a combined 58 plays from our hosts B-Frank and B-Fox in Week 8. There are no ranked vs ranked games this week so the guys highlighted three big games they both picked with Oklahoma State-Iowa State, Oregon-UCLA, and USC-Notre Dame. Diving into the cards we see a few changes in strategy and some picks that the guys just can't seem to quit. B-Fox comes in with a big lock while B-Frank tries to follow after his co-host and find some success out West.

Let's just all try to forget the carnage from last week, shall we? Talk about a tough week at the sportsbook, folks. There were upsets and blowouts and 3 games went to OT! It was a big week for B-Fox who went 18-7 and took his overall record back above .500. B-Frank didn't fare as well, but both won their locks for the second consecutive week and probably the first time in program history. Huge news. With just two ranked games this week, there was a lot of opportunity for the guys to pick from non-top 25 teams. B-Fox has 28 plays this week and B-Frank has 21, most of which they are on opposite sides of.
