recorded on 29MAR2023
Welcome on board Flight 131 of the Squawk Ident Podcast - The Reluctant Pilot
On today’s flight, I have the honor of being joined in the mobile studios by an aviator who’s journey began the Pacific Northwest when his older brother dared him to take a Demo Flight after a heated discussion that people with glasses can’t fly airplanes. He is a storyteller, a model aircraft collector, and a professional money waister with his performance car and motorcycle hobbies. Prone to collecting nearly anything, if left unsupervised. He shares his journey in aviation with us. Captain Dave Buchmiller joins me on the podcast today.
So buckle up, sit back, relax, and enjoy the rest of the podcast.

Welcome on board Flight 128 of the Squawk Ident Podcast - Peeling Away the Armor
On today’s flight Av8rTony has the opportunity to speak with an American Airline Captain whose journey in aviation began when she and her family moved to the U.S. from Hungry in the year 1975. She accomplished an education that thought her to speak a little more than a handful of languages.
After earning a degree from the Manhattan School of Music as a Flutist, she realized that her passion for aviation was calling her to change directions. From flight instructing, to the U.S. Air Force, the Air National Guard, flying for Airborne Express, and later American Airlines, her over three decades of experiences as a professional aviator has given her the insights she needs to tackle her next aspiration, to win the election for the LAX domicile vice-chair position for her pilot’s union.

Flight 125 - Seniority is not Everything, It's the Only Thing
recorded on 08JAN2023
Welcome on board Flight 125 of the Squawk Ident Podcast - Seniority is not Everything, It's the Only Thing
Today’s episode marks the first Squawk Ident flight of season 5.
Alex and I recently had the honor in sitting down with a truly remarkable aviator who’s journey in aviation started in the early 1970s. That is when our featured guest’s decorated military veteran father paid the steep cost of $600, for him to achieve his Private Pilot Certificate. With the passion for aviation growing within him, he went on to become an aircraft washer, a line fueler, a Gold Seal flight instructor, a trained dispatcher and 727 flight engineer, a corporate pilot, and an airline pilot as well. From flying Apaches, Turbo Commanders, and Twin Otters to commanding DC-10’s, Super-80’s, 75s/76s, and 737’s, his remarkable journey lead him to build upon an aviation career that has seen many challenges. In 2013, at the age of 65 years young, he retired from American Airlines.
I was honored to be invited into his home, where he and his son, (a 3rd generation pilot currently flying for “Sandpiper Regional”), sat down with me to share his story. This is an interview from the 8th of January, 2023, with retired American Airlines Captain Greg Daigle and his son Alex.

Flight 122 - The Golden Age of Aviation Bonuses
Recorded on 21NOV2022
Welcome on board Flight 122 of the Squawk Ident Podcast - The Golden Age of Aviation Bonuses
On today’s flight we are joined by an aviator who’s parents exposed him to aviation at the tender age of 5 years old, when he was able to witnesses the awesome display of air power by the U.S. Navy Blue Angles F4 Phantom team. In his teen years he joined the Civil Air Patrol, took high school classes on aviation where he grew his addiction of aviation in the process.
As flight training costs started to skyrocket, his aviation passion was set aside in order to pay the bills within the emerging computer technology market. He later started his own computer software company that took off. Despite his financial success in Tech, his addiction to aviation never subsided. Fast forward to today, his winding journey has lead him to the present day where he flies an Embraer 175 for Sandpiper Airlines (an alias to his employer, an American Flag yielding wholly owned regional airline). We are honored to have as our featured guest today Mr. Mike Airhart.
We will also discuss $100,000 signing bonuses, Botched Drug Tests, B737’s vs Grey Geese, and where in the world is Captain Keith.
So stick with us as we cover all this and more on this, the 122nd episode of the Squawk Ident podcast.

Welcome aboard Flight 117 of the Squawk Ident Podcast - The Leadership Toolbox.
On today’s flight, I am honored to spend some time with a phenomenal aviator, leader, and mentor. He is a retired Major General for the California Air National Guard. He began his civilian flying career at “Legacy Airlines” in the year 2000, where he currently commands the A320 fleet of aircraft. From his start as a flight engineer on the Boeing 727, to his type ratings on the 757/767, 787, and A320, today, he shares his journey in aviation with us. Joining me from the middle of a flight sequence where we just returned for Suriname, in South America. Welcome aboard Flight 104 of the Squawk Ident Podcast - the Speed of Heat. Recorded from the mobile Av8r Sound Studios at the Maui Coast Hotel, in Kihei, on the island of Maui.
On today’s flight Captain Roger and I sit down with an aviator that has agreed to share his remarkable journey in aviation with us. He later followed in his mother's footsteps when he joined the ranks at "Legacy Airlines", where he has earned type ratings in the 75/76 and Airbus family of aircraft. Today we sit down with Captain Rob Cosand.
