The Role of Predictive Analytics Software in Drug Development

The Role of Predictive Analytics Software in Drug Development

The Role of Predictive Analytics Software in Drug Development

The pharmaceutical industry brings us several benefits, including new drugs, so we can lead healthier and better lives, but the industry is not without its fair share of problems. Duplicating workflow, multiple data sources, and the risk associated with new drug discovery are just some of the problems the industry has to overcome in the discovery of new drugs. Fortunately, there is a solution thanks to predictive analytics software.

The current challenges in developing new drugs

To appreciate what predictive analytics software brings to the table, we need to take a look at some of the challenges the industry faces. Developing new drugs is not an easy process. Medical researchers have to overcome a slew of problems to make a new drug. Some of these problems include the risk associated with drug discovery, communicating with other departments, and replicated workflows.

Developing new drugs comes with several risks. Some of these risks include but are not limited to, portfolio risks (does the medicine add value?), operational risks (data management), and resource risks. Pharmaceutical companies must manage all these risks while developing a new product. The challenge is further enhanced by the rise of the personalized medicine model, which more pharmaceutical companies are adopting.

SAS Programming in Drug Development Process

SAS Programming in Drug Development Process

Statistics/ SAS programming in Drug Development

Programmers and biostatisticians working in the clinical research industries have successfully used SAS for many years to transform data, generate safety and efficacy results, and submit data to FDA. SAS in Drug Development provides innovative capabilities to not only meet the historic needs of the industry, but to efficiently collaborate across trials, phases, therapeutic areas, departmental organizations and technologies, and ultimately get drugs, biologics and devices to market faster.

What is a Clinical Trial?
  • An Investigation of a new pharmaceutical product or a new chemical entity in order to find out the safety and efficacy of the drug. On an average it takes 12 years for a drug to be approved for marketing. A clinical trial is a research study to answer specific questions about vaccines or new therapies or new ways of using known treatments.
Drug Approval Process: Before Conducting Clinical Trials:
  • Before the company starts its program of running clinical trials, it has to prepare an Investigational New Drug (IND) Application with the FDA. The IND application must contain information in three broad areas:
Manufacturing Information This information is assessed to ensure that the company can adequately produce and supply consistent batches of the drug.
Animal Pharmacology and Toxicology Studies – Preclinical data to permit an assessment as to whether the product is reasonably safe for initial testing in humans.
Clinical Protocols and Investigator Information – Detailed protocols for proposed clinical studies to assess whether the initial-phase trials will expose subjects to unnecessary risks.
  • Pre-IND Meeting: Pharmaceutical Company meets with the FDA prior to submitting an IND.  At least 30 days prior to scheduled meeting, the IND applicant submits to FDA a meeting package consisting of
    background information
list of questions grouped by type (Product, Preclinical, Clinical and Regulatory)

The Role Of A SAS Programmer in Pharmaceutical Industry

The Role Of A SAS Programmer in Pharmaceutical Industry

This post shows in-depth the role of SAS programmers in clinical trial data analysis.

It outlines the task flow of clinical trial data analysis, discusses project programming planning and documenting procedures, describes SAS programmers’ tasks and programming slides, and provides insight on how to work with people in your team: clinical data managers, statisticians, programmer manager, and project manager.

This provides a valuable overview for programmers who are starting out or plan on being involved with clinical trials, and for data managers and statisticians who work with SAS programmers in a clinical trial team.

It is also a valuable management guideline for experienced SAS programmers.

Introduction

SAS is widely used in clinical trial data analysis in pharmaceutical, biotech and clinical research companies.

SAS programmers play an important role in clinical trial data analysis. In addition to doctors and clinicians who collect clinical trial data, the group conducting data analysis includes statisticians, clinical data managers (COMs), and SAS programmers.

Statisticians provide the ideas and methods of the data analysis, clinical data managers manage the collected data and control the data quality. In between, SAS programmers implement the analysis methods on the collected data and provide the study summary tables, data listing, and graphs to the statisticians and clinicians to write a study report.

The Life of a SAS Programmer in the Pharmaceutical Industry

The Life of a SAS Programmer in the Pharmaceutical Industry

The life of a programmer in the software industry has never been told in the right sense.

Sometimes, it was over-exaggerated. Sometimes, it was underrated.

This is the state of any life of a software programmer.

I have been a SAS(Statistical Analysis System) Programmer for many years,  almost 14+ years.

I have worked as a Programmer, Lead Programmer, Manager, and I used to manage more than 50+ SAS programmers under my supervision(In total).

I have been given training on SAS and other soft skills and manage the delivery of clients.

It’s been an interesting one when I have worked as a SAS programmer. It gave me more ups and downs and jumping from one company to another.

It taught me life more than anyone.

I always been a listener of life. I always question my life whether this is right or wrong.

Or, I always set the target in my life and I ran towards that.

That’s how I have been a software programmer in the software industry.

I have been in this profession not by accident. I have sacrificed a lot to get into this profession as basically, I was a Production Engineer.

I want to be in the software field because of so many reasons.

A major reason is, I should to go to the US. That’s the least.

I didn’t have any plan what should I do after going to the US.

Very simple, I have to go there and visit the US. That’s it.

However, that’s happened in the year 2008. It was so exciting.  I like that landscape. I like cleanliness. I like the food (Not at the first visit)

But, I have to tell you this.

I hate to stay over there. I hate loneliness. I hate that “CALMNESS” in the environment.

Whereas, I like to be in our soil. I like this “SOUND” (Noice). I like this polluted air as we are the reason for that one.

I have to be as free as I am in India. This should not be in the US as far as I felt. (It differs from person to person)

There are so many lessons learned when I was working for someone.

Now, I am giving jobs for others and I should not make the same mistake what I have been expected from the employer.

I hope, I am crafting those things to implement in our organization.

So, I am going to discuss with you on “The Life of a SAS programmer in the Pharmaceutical Industry”.

Because, there’s so much to share and it will be really useful to many others. Especially those who are a fresher and who’s going to join in any software industry, this might be their “GUIDE” can refer at any time.

Please, stay stuned for my new series.

Thank you so much!

Where is my customer? - Part 9

Where is my customer? - Part 9

It’s been a year since I have started my business.

This is the year 2018.

Basically, I bet myself. I challenge myself.

I never regret it if I lose something during this period.

However, I have always positive about the challenges.

For instance, in the next 30 days, I have to follow and implement or install some important habits.

Throughout my life, I have followed this kind of small bets or challenges and installed a lot of good habits.

This habit installation comes to me from the early 20s because at that time I was in a condition that I was “nobody”.

There were a lot of personal issues like couldn’t join in any college, my father was in a condition that he needs support for everything.

He was affected by paralysis and he collapsed entirely. It took almost a year to recover from this.

At that time, I was with him and helping him out. No one told me to take care of him but I took it myself as the responsibility.

After I have completed 12th grade, another three years was like a mystery for me.

Planning to write what happened in those three years in a separate instance.

I was telling you about the habit installation, right?

I read a lot and never give up my reading habits though I have given up a lot of things in my life just like that.

The Storytelling in Digital Marketing

The Storytelling in Digital Marketing

Storytelling in Digital Marketing

From our Mudhra Software Services, we have introduced a new digital marketing service for our customers to increase their brand value and growth.

This service is specially designed to increase the customer’s revenue and lead generation.

This is based on the Storytelling strategy in this modern age of the digital world.

Through storytelling, we attract our customer’s customers emotionally.

If we have an emotional connection between the products/services and with the buyers, we will be able to sell easily.

In content marketing, storytelling plays a vital role.

Storytelling is one of the most important ways to connect with your customers.

It helps generate closeness, empathy, and helps develop connections with a consumer who’s a way of engaging with products and services that are ever-changing.

It will create a brand identity

A globally identifiable brand is the end-goal for many businesses.

Behind every well-known brand is storytelling.

Whether it’s the history of your company, your manifesto, your goals, your audience, or your very reason to exist.

These stories transform your company from a four-walled building with employees to a living, breathing, and recognizable brand.

It will connect with customers

When you tell a story your brain reacts.

Without realizing it, memories are triggered along with the emotions associated with those memories.

We love them because they prompt chemical reactions in our minds.

These reactions help us to feel pleasure, empathy, excitement, or interest.

They allow you to begin to imagine yourself in the story and begin to experience the story through your own memories.

This is what can happen when you use stories in your marketing.

People will begin to identify with the stories you are telling.

They will see themselves in it and want to become part of it.

The memories and emotions stirred up by these stories will spur them to action.

It can be used in all media

When shared through social media, via newsletters, and on your company’s website storytelling can span all areas of communications.

When starting a new digital marketing campaign one story can be used in all areas of your drive.

You can create videos, landing pages, mini-ads, and tailored newsletters based on the story you are trying to tell.

This allows your marketing campaign to be cohesive and gives power to your message.

It also gives your campaigns a higher chance of succeeding.

The more ways you share your story, the more likely it is people will see it, recognize it and take action

How to start affiliate marketing?

How to start affiliate marketing?

Earning Opportunities are high in Affiliate Marketing!!!

Many of us come across the buzzword “Affiliate Marketing” and lots of webinars are there and they conveyed that we can easily make money without any prerequisites.

Is it true?

What is affiliate marketing?

You can earn money as a commission for promoting the products or services of someone. It is completely performance-based marketing and your earnings depend upon how much traffic you able to drive for their business.

From a merchant point of view, they always want to expand their market and increase revenue through multiple resources.

Affiliate is one such resource that helps them to get more business. Based on the additional sales generated by the affiliate, the merchant paid the commission to them.

If any individual wants to start a business and build a brand, it incurs a huge investment of money and time.

Instead, if they choose to act as an affiliate for someone, they can earn money easily but not immediately for beginners.

How big the affiliate market is?

Affiliate marketing spends in the US alone is going to reach about 8.2 Billion US dollars by 2022 (Source: research expert A. Guttmann)

In India, there is a growth of about 30% every year and it is the next big thing in the future to boost the marketing and sales for established giants as well as newcomers.

How does Affiliate Marketing work?

Both of the below models exist in the market and it depends upon the company and their policies.

  • Merchant   Networks  Affiliate  Customer
  • Merchant   Affiliate  Customer

How to become an affiliate?

You can approach a network or a merchant directly to enroll in an affiliate program. Before you approach them, you must have a strong digital presence to attract and influence a set of audience.

To understand this digital presence in a better way, the below scenario will give an idea.

If you are interested to watch movies, then you can create a blog and write a review about the movie.

The way you narrate is supposed to be likable to many visitors, initially, you have to drive traffic into your blog either in an organic way or you can spend money to reach your targeted audience.

Slowly you can build your audience. If any new releases the audience will visit your blog and spread a word a mouth about your review and you get a new audience to follow up and it will grow.

Now you can choose a product to promote and embed affiliate links in your content.

Many organizations will support you with large creative inventory such as demo videos, banners, and copy examples designed to help you earn the most commission possible.

How you get revenue is the other question right?

The Power of Teaching - Part 4

The Power of Teaching - Part 4

Indian perceptions of counseling

Counseling in schools is the bridge that fills the physical, psychological, and social needs of the child. School counseling requires proper recognition and all efforts to be put together to utilize the psychological skill in preventing and responding to the various psychosocial needs of the school children.

The Indian society with its strong family bonds, a warm community feeling, and spiritual essence has been providing the shock absorbers in times of crisis and a support system to deal with the various psychosocial issues.
Perhaps, this is one reason for the slow growth of the counseling profession in India.

In the recent years, the Indian society seems to have undergone a total metamorphosis with changing roles of women, a breakdown of the joint family system, increased competitiveness in schools, immense technological advances, peer and parents pressures resulting in stress and strain for the children, where school counselors are like a blessing to the students and to the parents to cope with these situations towards maintaining the mental health of the younger generation.

The Power Of Teaching - Part3

The Power Of Teaching - Part3

When personalities clash between the student and the teacher:

Sometimes, despite our best intentions, we find ourselves actively disliking one of the students in our charge.

The student may be rude, disrespectful, disruptive, or annoying.

It’s just human nature; some personalities clash. But instead of feeling guilty about our feelings, we can take positive steps to improve them

Try to understand where the behavior is coming from. Whether the student distressed by a death, divorce, new baby, learning disability,

or some other overwhelming experience?

Speaking to the student’s parents or guardians may shed light on underlying causes and help you develop sympathy.

Use positive strategies when dealing with the child. One such strategy is addressing specific behaviors with precise language that describes what needs to be done.

In addition, try to seat the student near to you or a helpful student, praise the student liberally but sincerely, give the student choices to promote self-worth and feelings of control, be firm and consistent about your rules, and express displeasure with the student’s behavior without criticizing the student.

The Power Of TEACHING - Part 2

The Power Of TEACHING - Part 2

1. Effective Discipline Is Not about Punishment

Discipline is derived from the Latin word ”disciplinare” which means, ”TO TEACH”.

The discipline that actually works is never about punishment. Discipline is simply a way to guide and manage a child’s behavior.

It is based on the quality of a child’s relationship with the care provider (a teacher in the classroom, mom and dad at home).

When a child receives a consistent response from a caring adult, trust, deep attachment, and a sense of being wanted to develop.

This forms the foundation of good behavior and effective discipline.

The key is to ensure that these relationships are respectful, responsive, and reciprocal.

A teacher must understand that establishing daily routine disciplinary habits and frequent communication with his or her student is vital in developing respectful and meaningful relationships, which directly affect behavior and a child’s ability to learn.

For instance, if the children arrive in the class.

Where is My Customer? - Part 8

Where is My Customer? - Part 8

The next level of my entrepreneurship is on how to scale up my business for further growth.

I have told you before that I don’t know anything about marketing, right?

Before going into that discussion I would like to share with you a few things.

  1. Now I have well-established services on the Career Counseling process
  2. I have added more products into my portfolio like Embibe, Toppr, etc. for adding value to the customer.
  3. Apart from that, I have created my own methodologies on the ‘Teacher Training Program’  for primary school teachers
  4. I have so many things added to my school services apart from the Career Counseling program.

Now I wanted to take this through all the educational belts of Tamilnadu rather than only in Chennai.

Now coming into marketing again.

What I thought about marketing when I started my company:

  1. If I focus on marketing our products/services, I can’t focus on the most important aspect of the business
  2. I have got the fear that if I focus on marketing, I can lose my creativity, the innovation part of the business.
  3. Actually, marketing is not my ‘Cup of Coffee’ (I like COFFEE:))
  4. I am not at all interested in marketing and I can’t do any kind of work.

This is what my thoughts about marketing in 2017.

Now in 2020, I can realize that for any business MARKETING and SALES are the two pillars that are going to be the PRIMARY task for any ENTREPRENEURS.

Without these pillars, your EMPIRE is not going to be STRONG enough.

Ok. Will go back to 2017 and 2018.

So, I was in search of a marketing consultant who will do the consulting services for us to take to the next step.

AI and Machine Learning to change the strategy of Digital Marketing

AI and Machine Learning to change the strategy of Digital Marketing

Do you think Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning will enhance the future of digital marketing?

A BIG ‘YES’.

It’s changing our day to day business activity in a more specific route and be more focused and the rest of the automation process will take care of it.

For example, if you enter into any websites these days, a chatbot is receiving you and welcoming you.

If you have any questions, the chatbot itself is trying to solve your initial questions by itself without connecting to any human.

So, this classic example shows a lot of things to all of us. It reduces manpower and this chatbot itself saves a lot of data about the customers and their behavior.

And yes, this all can be done only by the machine learning mechanism. This automated response system itself saves a lot of time right from the small to medium to very large companies.

What else with the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning will change the way of thinking patterns?

1.Keyword Research

If you are trying to make content on your website or a blog, keywords play a major role.

What is keyword research?

Keyword research is the process by which you research popular search terms people type into search engines like Google, and include them strategically in your content so that your content appears higher on a search engine results page (SERP).

Keyword research is a fundamental practice in search engine optimization (SEO).

There are so many tools to find out the right keyword for your content to reach out to your audiences. (Will see in detail in our blog about this later)

Where is my customer? - Part 7

Where is my customer? - Part 7

Where is my customer?- Part 7

Yes, I wanted to scale up my business as my DREAM is BIG.

What I am doing right now is that just doing business. That’s it!

If I go in this way, it will take more time to reach more people and more revenue.

However, If I have the right product (in-house product) for the right audience, then the brand will reach more people more customers more revenue more growth.

This would need more investment more people more infrastructure more office space too.

I have already approached some of my friends to be a part of ‘Career Mudhra’ and they immediately refused to join with me. (No Wonder!)

Almost 9 months gone in my entrepreneurial journey and I was searching for the right people to join with me.

Vinoth Kumar:

Vinoth Kumar is my college mate and he’s from an automotive background. In the beginning stage itself, I was telling him about my business and I actually asked him whether he has any interest to join along with me.

At that time, he is not in a situation or not interested to join me.

After 9 months, he approached me and said that he would like to join me.

At this point in time, he has resigned from his job and willing to join in Career Mudhra.

However, I have some important points to discuss with him before he’s joining Career Mudhra.

Because at any point in my Entrepreneurial Journey, I should not stop until I reach my GOAL! Reach my DREAM!

AT ANY COST!

I have a few things to tell him verbally and also through the document.

We had a detailed discussion on what’s my ambition, why I have started this company, why I am in this business, where it will lead into, what are the future plans, how about the execution, etc.,

Vinoth agreed on all the terms and conditions whatever I said.

He completely aligns himself with CAREER MUDHRA.

I got remembered of these lines:

“ if your wish is really true, it makes its own way to achieve it.”

So, Career Mudhra found out another strong person to achieve its goal.

He’s one of the main reasons that now we have three branches and it will grow across the South-India and after that ACROSS PAN INDIA.

It’s possible. It’s there on the agenda.

You might ask whether you never come across any disputes in this journey?

Come on! We are human beings. For sure, we have our own difference in opinions.

However, we are open to suggestions and finally, the decision-maker is going to take the decision.

It’s all how we are setting up the expectation between two different personalities.

Actually I am not the person to work in someone’s direction. I found my way and it got worked out well. And it’s also generating revenue for our organization.

He just found himself interested in this model and just got fixed.

There’s no designation between us. But there is.

There are no two-decision makers. But there is.

Only He and I know what it is! Why it is! And how it is!

That’s all!

In fact, how to find out your partner?  – is a big topic – and is really an important act/task in any entrepreneurial life.

I Will talk somewhere about this in detail.

I just wanted to end this episode here as a GRATITUDE to my FRIEND VINOTH KUMAR.

Next Level:

Now, I have to scale-up what I am doing it right now. I have to have a very streamlined process for reaching more customers more growth more revenue more employees…

Will continue!

Where is a customer? - Part 6

Where is a customer? - Part 6

Everything is ready. I have decided that:

  1. I am going to do “CAREER COUNSELING”
  2. Through psychometric test
  3. What I have created for their career growth called ” CAREER DEVELOPMENT PLAN” (CDP)
  4. Schools/school students are my major target audiences.
  5. Even College students can take it and even anyone for that matter they can come and undergo the career counseling process

Simple.

Do you think this is as simple as that?

No.

Offlate, the following were my observations:

  • I have realized that my Target Audiences are not enough to understand what I am talking about “career counseling”.
  • A lot of parents communicated during the conversation that “I know better about my son/daughter”. Where is it coming to the new term called ‘career counseling’?
  • Do you understand and find out their capabilities and inner talents rather than their parents?
  • I am always with my son/daughter. How come you know better than me? (I think you people are smiling at me)
  • We never followed any rules for selecting the career. We follow our own rule. We have already decided that my son/daughter is going to take up the “medicine” for his/her higher studies. You can’t stop.
  • Why are you diverting our goals? As a parent, we have our dreams (!) what my son/daughter would become. Who are you in between?

Ecstacy of READING!

Ecstacy of READING!

I would say “READING” is like “INTIMACY OF LEARNING”.

My first intimate relationship started with the book.

If I have a book, I would forget what’s happening around me. It gives me pleasure and you can’t measure that with anything.

Suppose, the author transferred “the pleasure of the text” to me, that AUTHOR is going to be my MENTOR.

I started reading books at the age of 11 (During my 6th Grade/Standard). At that time I have been attracted by comics. I have read all types of comics (Of Course, in THAMIZH only).

In the 1980’s IRUMBUKKAI MAAYAVI, LION COMICS, MUTHU COMICS, etc. were popular and I was a regular reader of those books.

And then my reading habit switches over into pocket novels and that time I was not attracted by those pocket novels. In fact, I have been attracted more towards the family stories.

I was not sure why I was like that but that’s how I am. Still, I am not attracted to pulp fiction instead I always wanted to read life in reality.

Slowly I moved over to all the famous writers in Tamilnadu. In My library, I had all sorts of books and I had given them to one of the libraries in my hometown (Close to 2000 books).

Why this topic is now an important one?

I have interacted with a lot of youngsters/young minds these days, I can see common characteristics among them is that 99.7% of the people don’t have the reading habit.

Even a single newspaper!

However, they all have SMARTPHONES with them. They can read online too but that’s not happening.

We are not poor by money. We are poor with knowledge.

Let’s take a look at what are the benefits I am getting because of READING a book. (We have to talk like this because everything is consumable these days and we have to promote each product like “how to become a millionaire within 30 days”)

  1. We will start asking QUESTIONS for ourselves. This is the most important thing in everyone’s life.
  2. We can get to know the life of others so that we can implement the right one with respect to our lifestyle and situation.
  3. For example, We just read one of the books of an entrepreneur and he’s / she’s saying about how he/she became a star in his/her field. We can apply/implement those principles and we can grow faster than him/her.
  4. We will get the CONFIDENCE that we can also achieve something.
  5. We will be happier than before just because of reading books. Is it TRUE? How? – Please start reading and then you will realize it.
  6. We will get companion (This is very scarce and costly these days. Nobody is ‘free’ to talk) and it drives our life very smoothly.
  7. Tom Clancy said it best: “Life is about learning; when you stop learning, you die.”

  8. LEARNING starts from when we start READING.
  9. These days we are not getting enough chances for the new challenging environment to get the new experience. So, we have to start reading to get the other’s experiences.
  10. You will get nice DREAM. Trust me. DREAM is very powerful. It will happen in REAL if you are REAL.
  11. It will give more AUTHORITATIVE for your personal and professionl life.

Where is My Customer? - Part 5

Where is My Customer? - Part 5

Now I have found out that this is what I am going to do. I am going to do “CAREER COUNSELING” as a service to the schools and also to the individuals.

Can you imagine how hard it was?

This ‘niche’ is really the need of the hour for all the students irrespective of whether he/she’s performing academically good or not.

However, I was focused on this micro-niche and trying out a plan on how to attract the customers to be it on B2B(Business to Business) or B2C (Business to Customer).

I have done enough research on counseling and got enrolled myself in one of the famous career counseling courses out there.

I always believe in learning and whatever I have learned, tried to put it in practice as soon as possible.

Also, I believe in the “SPECIAL SKILLS” or to become a “MASTERY” on where I am. For that, I will put my 100% to learn and master myself or with the mentor’s help.

That’s how I found my GURU, I found my favorite AUTHOR, and this list goes on for each and every field of interest that I have.

I never bother to learn from even my team members who’s far younger than me as I always believe in “we can take all the good things from wherever we found”.

And I always have the habit of investing time and money to become mastery of specific skills. Still, I follow the same approach and without learning there will not be any earning.

Before you are expecting to get the money from others you have to give away your money first. I think this will apply to all businesses.

Now I became a Globally Certified Career Counselor and I am all set to launch my business.

I have left the US and came back to India.

My Dear Friends,

Here I would like to let you know one thing. Starting a business is not that easy. Especially in our Tamil Culture.

They always advise us

  • To go and get a job
  • Get married and have children
  • And one fine day, die and bury yourself. (We don’t know whether they are coming for our death or not)

This is the typical middle-class mentality. They never try anything and they never let other people try by themselves.

They are clear on their mission.

They will abuse you if you are not in a job.

They will go to any extent to hurt you.

But, we don’t have to worry. If you wish to become an entrepreneur, please follow something that I followed:

Before I have started from the US, I set my mind on these things:

  1. Yes, I am going to do a different thing in my family and it’s all trial and error method.
  2. Our job is not to convince other people. Our job is only to take the necessary action to earn money from our new venture.
  3. Try to explain (not really an explanation needed over here. Because no one can understand my business  idea rather than me…Just convey the message politely and strongly) to your spouse that it will take some time to be comfortable

Where is My Customer? - Part 4

Where is My Customer? - Part 4

I strongly believe in my intuition and I will always follow the path I am getting it from inside. I talked to myself and asks a lot of questions about whether I am doing it right or wrong.

If I follow this path, what am I going to get?

If I follow the other one, what would be the benefit for me? And so on…

Here, I wanted to tell you this. Once you started talking to yourself, there’s a lot of advantages.

  1. We don’t want to care about others on what they will think of us.
  2. If we are free from No.1, we will enjoy our life to the core and to the fullest.
  3. There’s only one person to listen to here. So, the conversation is 100% TRUE.
  4. If point number 3 is very honest, we can achieve something in our life 100% for sure.
  5. Onc we have the conversation within ourselves, we never commit anything wrong.
  6. We never gossiping about anyone else, once we have started talking to ourselves.

Have you experienced anything of those described above? If not, start the conversation within you.

So, the environment, situation of the outside and inside is all in sync with my decision. The decision is that I am going to start something new and am making some money out of that.

What is that business? Why do I want to do this? What are my audiences? How am I going to do this?

I was very sincere during those periods and worked hard to find out what am I going to do as a business?

I strongly believe one thing about myself that  I can explain any things in the world (Which are confined to my interests) to others with real-time examples.

At the end of the discussion, the opposite person will get to know whatever he/she wants.

Because of this, I thought that TRAINING would be a better one to start with.

Am I a REAL Entrepreneur?

Am I a REAL Entrepreneur?

I am continuously asking this question to me. Am I a REAL Entrepreneur?

This question is not like can I take breakfast or lunch or dinner.

This is something BIG in a normal or even in the higher middle-class family.

This is the lifetime question I had to ask myself that Am I TRUE to myself at least?

In the past three years, the following are the questions asked by my friends, family members, and sometimes even from a customer:

  1. What is the business that you are doing? I never understand what you are really up to.
  2. Are you making enough money? What are you doing for your monthly expenses?
  3. Why don’t you return to your “the same old career” so that you can financially be manageable?
  4. Why are you not trying your business part-time?
  5. By when you can make money?
  6. Do you think by next month you can bring some money out of your business?

I think you have identified at this time that all the questions related to money. ONLY related to MONEY.

People are always scared of money. This is exactly the same reason why I want to become an entrepreneur. Literally I am not scared of money these days.

Because, the PASSION on what I am doing, drives me every day. Otherwise, living as a businessman in this world is like slowly killing yourself.

Why do people get scared of money?

In your life, just think of what drives you?

  1. Have to pay your bills (All the BILLS for that matter) on time
  2. Every weekend have to go out and enjoy with your family (Really Enjoying yourself? It’s another big question or another big topic by itself)
  3. What else? (A lot of time, this is the question we will ask ourselves at the end of every weekend)

Is this REALLY driving you or motivating you? That’s the reason our productivity is becoming very low at the end of the weekend. And also at the starting of the weekday.

Isn’t that right?

So, the life of the regular and normal EMI person’s mind is always thinking about the money. Even I came from the same old fashion. However, I am becoming strong on each and every step I am taking towards my entrepreneurial journey only because of my PASSION.

Entrepreneurship is something You LIVE for it. LOVE for it. WALK for it. RUN for it. Breath for it. You are now your BUSINESS!

When the child is born, the marketing too!

When the child is born, the marketing too!

When the child is born in the hospital (nowadays, most of the time it’s happening in the hospital), she starts crying. This is the first step in the marketing world, she is saying very proudly that “ I am there”. The product by itself says through’ that sound.

The first cry of the newborn baby tells many stories for us in marketing.

Personal Branding has been MADE! The product Rightly marketed by itself!

To this world, she says through sound’ (SOUNDS GOOD, right!). She exhibits through that. Without that sound, we never realized that it still exists in the world. Isn’t it?

In Tamil, we used to say “ The Child with the Mouth will survive”.

This is the first lesson in “the marketing”. WE ourselves are the products in this world.

The self-promotion is really needed in each and every step of our life.

When you are selling yourself, you have to be alive. That’s proof for your customer.

That is, you are going to solve their problems. That’s what the expectations of the people.

Because people are selfish. They care about themselves. They don’t care about your knowledge, experience, etc.

They would want to solve their URGENT problems more than the important one.

Whenever we are going with our product to the customer, we have to open up ourselves with the features of the product.

That is, they have to believe that this product is going to solve their problem.

Here, the first cry of the newborn baby solves the very URGENT problem of their parents and she’s announcing herself like a product to the world that “I AM ALIVE”.

What do you think?

Where is my customer? - An Entrepreneur Journey to Find out the customer - Part 3

Where is my customer? - An Entrepreneur Journey to Find out the customer - Part 3

“He doesn’t want to see you and he’s not interested to have any kind of discussion with you”

This was the message I have got.

I laughed at reading this message and replied to her immediately saying “Thank you so much”

I was really not in anger or in any other resentment by looking at this message. Even I didn’t have a feeling that I have got humiliated.

Instead, I was thinking about how come one human being is refused to meet another human being.

That too, we were born together, eat together, sleep together, laughed together and I know what’s his root. Even he knows that.

There could be only one possible reason to refuse to meet me. His EGO. Because He has given so many promises to me and he didn’t do anything at all!

So, this is the point where I got pushed from my comfort zone. I expand from this point onwards.

I have already thought of doing something in my life. These words have changed me a lot.

I have seen a lot of people in my village. In their life “the one word” changed them a lot. Be in the positive or in the negative side of their life.

Because of one word, there was an old woman in my neighborhood, she never spoke a word to his husband until her death. Because her husband scolded with a bad word sometime back.

The word has power in itself.

I am seeing this as a positive. I can do it more and I can make it more in my life. I can achieve whatever am thinking now. I can reach my goal without fail in my entrepreneurial life. Even if I fail, that doesn’t matter. Still, I can do better after that.

This is what I was thinking after seeing that message.

Trust me. I never got angry seeing that message. If I would have got angry, I might be ended up working somewhere as an employee in the US itself.

Thank god that I have that maturity to read the message and took it in a positive sense.

On the other end, what I thought was he didn’t see my value. He doesn’t have generosity. I wanted to create both these things by doing something more valuable to society.

Maybe my mind and soul are waiting for this kind of motivational trigger.

What are Sales funnel in Digital Marketing?

What are Sales funnel in Digital Marketing?

What are Sales funnel in Digital Marketing?

Very often this question has been asked by every student or new entrepreneur. This is an important step in the sales and marketing of any organization.

Definition of Sales Funnel:

According to Wikipedia, the definition of a sales funnel or purchase funnel is:

The purchase funnel, or purchasing funnel, is a consumer-focused marketing model that illustrates the theoretical customer journey toward the purchase of a good or service.

In a layman term, we can describe this:

The process of getting the customer into our sales process (the funnel) and then purchase is happening after the decision has been made by the customer.

So it depends on the products and the services of your firm and how you are planning to market any product and the services to your customer.

This has been made by a typical formula called “AIDA”.

What is the AIDA formula?

In 1898, E.St.Elmo Lewis developed a model that mapped a theoretical customer journey from the moment a brand or product attracted consumer attention to the point of action or purchase. St. Elmo Lewis’ idea is often referred to as the AIDA model in marketing. (Source: Wikipedia)

Acronym for AIDA:

  • Awareness – the customer is aware of the existence of a product or service
  • Interest – actively expressing an interest in a product group
  • Desire – aspiring to a particular brand or product
  • Action – taking the next step towards purchasing the chosen product

Awareness:

So, if you have any product or service, first you have to make sure that you are exhibiting yourself in front of your customer.

There’s no use if you have a product or service and you are not going behind your customer. Ultimately any customer never minds about any products or services.

Because they have their own mindset and their own consumer mentality. We have to go and acquire them by showcasing your products or services. Then only you can move to the next level of attraction. That is, you can create interest in your products and services.

So, you have to make them aware of your products and services by any means. That is the first process in the sales funnel.

Where is my Customer - Part 2

Where is my Customer - Part 2

I was there in New Jersey for almost six months and the stay and everything has been taken care of by my sponsor. At this point in time, I had to thank my sponsor and his friend and they have taken care of me very well.

After three months, I almost got an offer to join one of the companies over there however they did not mention any timeline for the joining.

This is the period where the transformation was happening in my mind like still how long I have to work as an employee and is there any benefit staying out of the family for a certain period.

There were lots of questions which I have not got any answer. For example, If I calculate my paycheck and the expenses in the US for a family which is of nowhere I am going to save anything. But there are other benefits for my family members (like the new landscape, places to visit, the lifestyle and other cosmetic things which any NRI will think that would be the great offer), for me, it’s the same normal, routine life.

Whereas in India, I have the freedom of thoughts and the freedom of living and the worst-case scenario, I can live my life in my own way. This can not be in the NRI’s case. If you are living in the US, that too as an employee, there are so many things to consider-reconsider, think-rethink, wired-rewired things will continuously happen.

Why I was thinking like this because this is not the right time to be landed over in the US having such a great experience in my career. I will get very normal remuneration here in the US compared to India and that too I have to share some percentage with my sponsor for H1B.

You can question me here why don’t you think before going over there. Obviously, I had given a thought on this part, however, to be honest, and to be frank…these things were at the least priority when I have got the stamping for an H1B visa in my passport!

Now I have got relieved of something from getting the job offer as I have got the confirmation from my employer saying the joining date will be intimated soon. However, still was attending a lot of interviews.

Also, my feeling and question of why I have to be an employee as always’ was increasing day by day. I thought of writing down all the desires what I wanted to be in life.

I couldn’t write any list and it’s not so easy to write the list too. Meanwhile, I have got my driving license, my bank account got opened and now am ready for the same old race which anyone coming from India or any other countries to the US.

I hated this kind of life. I can not live life like this and I can not end my life like this. I strongly believe that I am not born to live like a slave be it in India or in the US. Wherever I am, I am going to be the boss. I am born to give jobs to others. I have a lot of potentials to live like an employer and I wanted to be an entrepreneur!

I have arrived at this point after three months. Yes, I would like to do business. I don’t know what to do. However, I have to do something on my own.

How to do that?

This was the point I got stuck into.

Moreover, I hate this kind of mentality, the attitude of a person, and also I hate the dependency at this age. I know what I am doing right now. That’s all I was thinking.

But, recently he’s not well and I planned to meet him just for the sake of asking how’s the health.

I didn’t have his residential address and I was just texting him to get the same.

He didn’t reply to my email or my text but I have got a reply from his wife (Sister-in-Law).

“He doesn’t want to see you and he’s not interested to have any kind of discussion with you”

How to generate leads for your business?

How to generate leads for your business?

How to generate leads for your business?

Lead generation is an important task for any business to grow. In fact, many companies invest more money in this part. Their marketing & sales team working hard to generate more and more leads through a lot of channels.

This article is mainly focused on small and medium businesses and how they can plan for their lead generation method for initial and further growth.

These are the tips that can be utilized for B2B and also for B2C depends on your products and services.

1. Building up your user/customer base:

The first and foremost thing, any business owner needs to do is collecting the data of your target audience. Ultimately, we need to focus on our target audience.

Also, we have to focus on their demographics, interests, and other details to put a clear strategy. To be precise, who they are, where they live, how much they are earning, what is their lifestyle, personality, etc.

We are collecting these details because to put a clear marketing plan and how we can reach them easily. This is a complex task for any business and it’s a mandated process too. Without this information, the business is not able to run their show.

After collecting this data, you have to build the user community for your products and services. Because having a community group for your services, you can easily sell yourself and grow very fast. Also, the community helps with “word of mouth” marketing for your products or services. This is very important to grow very fast and also you can retain your customer.

This step can be done by the following method:

If you have the website for your company, you can have any third party application inside your website to collect the user’s email. There are lots of products that are available in the market these days. You can avail of this.

If you don’t have any website, you can have landing pages for your products and services and with the help of this, you can collect their emails.

After collecting the emails, you can send out very nice emails describing your products and services. You can automate this process too.

2. Promoting your products and services to your customer

Now, you will have a better understanding after collecting the customer data. Based on your marketing plan or ideas, you have to choose a medium to promote your products and services.

In the first point, we have already covered one method of promoting your products and services. That is email marketing.

Use your social media business pages and if at all needed go for a paid method of reaching out to your customers.

You can have a webinar speaking about your products and services or have a video on YouTube

You can conduct or participate in industry events

Customer referrals

The traditional advertising

You can have a blog or website, in that you can explain your products and services

3. Developing/Creating a Sales Funnel

This is an important step. I have already covered the first point itself. That’s one of the sales funnels which we need to be focused to have their contact information.

Happy Entrepreneurship!

Have a good day!

Where is my customer? – An Entrepreneur journey to find out the customer

Where is my customer? – An Entrepreneur journey to find out the customer

Part 1 – How did I start my business?

Setting the expectation:

In this title, I would like to let you know about my journey to the business. Like, how did I start, why did I start, what am going to do with this entrepreneurial journey, what are the challenges, facts, figures, calculations, what is  B2B, what is B2C,  and so on.

It’s not merely an autobiography. However, it seems like I am telling my story. It may help you whoever wishes to join this journey as a businessman.

So, How did I start this journey?

It’s not happened overnight, however it was in my mind since from the year 2014. I am thinking of starting as a consultant in the space of “Soft Skills”. In fact, I have started the company in that year itself but it didn’t get through well as I never put any thoughts around this.

Because at the time I was working in a software company as a Manager and I couldn’t spend much time on my new venture. Also, my environment, my family members, and the situation was not right at that time. Even, I was not in tact with my vision and my goal.

I just started it and after some time I have closed it immediately because of a disorganized mentality.

That was my choice to close that one because:

  • I had no idea of the business or domain
  • Once I have started, I had no idea what to do next?
  • Had nothing in my mind what’s my vision
  • I was thinking that to start a business is as easy as to go to the office or regular work
  • I did not do any research on my idea
  • And finally, I had no “idea”

To simply put, I didn’t start anything. I didn’t do any hard work for that and there was no regret. Most importantly, I didn’t invest anything in this business.

No idea. No hard work. No focus. No business!

Then I went back to my comfort zone and I used to work in a 9 to 5 job. I was happy. I had nothing in my mind. No big dreams. Focusing on my kids and my family. The circle became square now.  I stopped thinking of starting a business.

But, I was sure about one thing. That is, I was thinking and my mind was always in this: “I have to start something BIG in my lifetime”. I was not sure about what is “BIG” means. It could be anything.

After three years, in 2017, I have got my H1B visa stamped. I was in a dilemma whether I continue here or go to the US for work.

After thinking a lot, I planned to go to the US with my H1B. This is the decision that I took and planned to take a risk after a long time in my career. Planning to Move from a COMFORT ZONE.

Because this is the sponsored visa. So, I had to resign from my current company and then after going to the US, I have to find my job.

Literally, this was the situation.

Still, I was not sure how did I make this choice. My sponsor had given me the assurance that for sure he will get me the job and he’s having a lot of networks. This was one of the reasons I had to move further.

Actually, that was not the case. He didn’t have any and the time I was there in the US, was not in favor of H1B visa holders to get a job smoothly.

So, now, I have arrived in New Jersey and after a long time, I had to carry my RESUME and search for a job in the US soil.

I was not prepared mentally and physically for this kind of challenges in my life, I struggled a lot in the US.

And that too, I was in a very comfortable life in India. But in the US, it’s not the case.

I came to the US many times starting from the year 2008. That was on a business visa (B1). It was a short trip and my company had spent a lot on me. There were no issues at all times until 2017.

This time, I know for sure that I can’t make it to live over here in the US. There’s one more strong reason for this aversion.

Thanks!

What is "A BUSINESS" meant to me?

What is "A BUSINESS" meant to me?

Starting from ZERO:

I had ZERO knowledge when I have started my business in 2017. I had the subject knowledge but I didn’t have knowledge of how to sell my services.

I haven’t gone through any marketing or sales seminars or books etc., . However, I got into the field along with my services.

The marketing field was really tough to manage by me. That was TRUE. I am not the person to deal with the people. I am the person to deal with myself. So, I had to face lot of people and their EGO.

But, I had to tell you this! I had a preplanned mindset. That is, I am going out of my usual way (Out Of  My COMFORT ZONE) and this is not going to be a “White Collor” job anymore for me. Anything can happen in the field of Sales & Marketing (because when I start my company, I was the only person to handle everything). So, I have done some homework to prepare my mind to adapt to certain things.

  • I can be humiliated
  • This process may lead to frustration
  • Financially I may go wrong
  • My family (especially spouse) may not be comfortable during this journey.
  • The time of “SUCCESS” or the duration of “SUCCESS” can not be predicted. It will take months or years and so on. But I have to be in the “BUSINESS”.
  • Interim success can happen. But I have to make sure that I am on right direction with my vision and mission.
  • I have to be TRUE to myself.
  • Whatever I am doing, I have to enjoy myself and make the customer delighted.

These are the things I had set up in my mind. That is, I was setting an expectation to myself. If I start my business, these are things that will happen for sure.

As I expected, I had to face all the above experiences in my life. Those are new challenges for me. So to adapt to the entrepreneurial life, it was quite a nightmare.

But, there’s no way to quit and back to my comfort zone. So, what to do now?

Here’s the quote by Robin Sharma:

“When you go to your limits, your limits will expand”.

I strongly believe this thing and I have faced many instances in my life before. For example, I don’t know anything about computers or Softwares when I completed my Engineering Degree in 2001.

But one thing I have decided that I have to get a job only in the software field. I have done my degree in Production Engineering.

In 2001, I almost learned all the front end and back end tools that were available in the market at that time and I finally ended up with SAS (Statistical Analysis System).

So, it happened only because I expanded my limits.

At that time all my friends were kidding me like anything. Because during my college time I was least bothered about computers and its mechanism.

So, a similar situation for me to switch over from a highly paid Software Job into an entrepreneurial one.

As I expected, all the things happened in my business life (quoted above bullet points).

So, I am not bothered at the time of humiliation. Am not bothered when it comes to the worst situation. I had predicted that all the things will happen to me. I knew it very well.

But, how to manage these kind of situation without any damage to our personal life or professional life? That will lead into another blog post and will discuss it later or in the next post.

So, you have understood at this point in time, What’s the BUSINESS meant to me?

I love what I am doing. At the same time, I am earning. Not only this, but I am also giving back to this society what I have learned.

Am feeling happy and trying to make this statement very boldly.

FEELING HAPPY!

This is what a lot of people searching for these days, right?
