I Fear No Evil For You Are At My Side
Season 1, Episode 12.  Peace be with you.  Please know that the priests and brothers of the St. Anthony Catholic Community always remember you in Mass and pray for your health and protection.  St. Anthony parish has such a deep and rich history of ministry to the sick, we’ve had St. Damien of Moloka’i and St. Marianne of Moloka’i that were present in our parish.  These saints have dedicated their lives to the service of those who have had infectious diseases.  They were confident of God’s power to save.  Let us not be afraid, rather let us be reminded to deepen our trust and faith in God’s power to save.

To Trust God
Season 1, Episode 10.  Peace be with you!  "I hope in the Lord, I trust in His word."  We need to remind ourselves, as Christians and believers, that God is in control and our lives are in His hands.  Into Your hands O Lord, we command our trust and confidence that You do take care of us.  Though we may be tempted to doubt, we ask St. Michael to protect us from the wickedness and snares of the devil and to be fortified in the strength which Jesus has given us at our baptism:  "St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil.  May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen."

Seeing Christ in Our Brothers and Sisters
Season 1, Episode 8.  How do we see Christ in one another?  Our challenge is to have a clear vision and recognize, as we walk through our journey: Christ in the poor, in the sick, and in those who need comforting. Our Lenten journey is one of purification and of repentance.  Because at times, when we may not see clearly, and we might treat one another badly.  We might get impatient or we may lose our temper, but to see Christ, it takes discipline - and that’s why we have 40 days during this season of Lent, for fasting and purification.  We must trust in the Father, and rely on God.  Glory to God in the Highest!

Worship and Prayer Through Music
Season 1, Episode 6. Peace be with you! The Valley Island Liturgy and Arts Conference happened this past weekend and featured musical guests Jesse Manibusan, Fr. Ricky Manalo, and O’ahu’s EPIC (Ever Present in Christ) team.  These musicians reminded us of how music can influence our liturgy and worship.  We also reflected on the importance of when we come together in worship, we support one another to deepen our faith.  One way we can reach out to others is through music.  Listen in and sing with Fr. Rollie ask we ask our Lord to open up our eyes so that we may we see clearly and see beyond the physical, to see Christ's presence in our midst and in one another; open our ears so that we may hear God’s word; and open up our hearts so that we may love like Jesus.

Deepening Our Knowledge of the Word of God
Next Sunday is "Word of God Sunday" - an opportunity for all us to have a deeper knowledge of the Word of God.  All parishioners can bring their bibles to Sunday mass and have it blessed.  May the Word of God be truly alive in our hearts,  so when we go home we can start reading and re-reading the bible.  After reading the bible we can reflect. Fr. Chaminade, whose feast day we celebrate this week, stressed a great importance on the Word of God and meditate on the Nicene Creed - which is a summary of our Salvation history. L.I.T.E. = Love Is Truly Eternal.  Godʻs presence is always within us and above us. Nicene Creed We believe in one God,       the Father almighty,       maker of heaven and earth,       of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ,       the only Son of God,       begotten from the Father before all ages,            God from God,            Light from Light,            true God from true God,       begotten, not made;       of the same essence as the Father.       Through him all things were made.       For us and for our salvation            he came down from heaven;            he became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary,            and was made human.            He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate;            he suffered and was buried.            The third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures.            He ascended to heaven            and is seated at the right hand of the Father.            He will come again with glory            to judge the living and the dead.            His kingdom will never end. And we believe in the Holy Spirit,       the Lord, the giver of life.       He proceeds from the Father and the Son,       and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified.       He spoke through the prophets.       We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church.       We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.       We look forward to the resurrection of the dead,       and to life in the world to come. Amen.
