Staring At Goats

By Stephen Adams
The world is looking different now that COVID-19 has introduced itself to us. A lot of folks are quarantined or isolated, and there is some panic in the streets. Come sip a beer with Landon, Jacob, and Stephen as they hash out the details, provide some much needed useful wisdom, and try to stay positive in the apocalypse.

The Men Who Stare at Goats
This podcast sure has been a ride over the past year. We've chatted with you guys an awful lot about where we are on our different emotional states regarding the pandemic. We've talked about all the news until we've turned purple. We've ridden the rollercoaster of good and bad news until we all just wanted to get off the ride.  Well, we switched gears with this episode. We let you send in your emails of your stories about how the pandemic has gone for you. We laughed, cried, and were in awe at what you all submitted, and we're grateful that you decided to make that happen. You all really put yourselves out there with these stories and that's not always an easy thing to do. After we read your stories, we FINALLY got around to talking about The Men Who Stare At Goats. A movie starring Ewan McGregor and George Clooney that came out in 2009. Our show wasn't named after it, but we couldn't tell people about it without them mentioning this movie that they likely never watched in the first place.  It's a good episode. Until next time!

Jacob was pushing Stephen's buttons all night so we had a handful of wonderful rants about society, pandemics, why we're such epic failures and more! This episode had plenty of laughs and plenty of heavy moments as we continue to toe the line between staying depressed and trying to rise above. Every episode is a bit of a roller coaster for us. Jacob and I didn't have a guest this week, but we had PLENTY of questions to answer. This week Pfizer announced that they have a vaccine that has shown 90% efficacy, setting off a lot of speculation as to when and where this pandemic might actually end. Jacob is here to level set some of our expectations and help us understand what this news really means to you and me. When can we expect it? What does 90% mean? How is distribution going to work? As always, we're here to try to clean up the science talk and get to the root of the story. Enjoy!

Today We Celebrate Our Reboot Day
It's pretty much been decided that 2020 sucks and we need a reboot. We propose a perfect solution to this problem.  Also, there's a lot going on in the world that has nothing to do with COVID-19 and everything to do with grave injustice. We approach that in the best way we know how early in the show, and then we pivot to coverage of the disease. We stand with all of those that are hurting and feel they've gone unheard for many years. We're here. We're listening.  We also tried a new format tonight!
