Stats Will Roll

This week, Abi (@D8bitGaming) and Alex (@MrPuddins) dive back into the regular Stats Will Roll shenanigans. This week, while diving into building a bugbear character, the duo decided to try something that goes against the grain. Instead of having them start off as a typical goblinoid/monster, the duo make this character have a good origin, making the character the child of Sunflower, an NPC from Chromatic Chimera's SteamSpell. 

Abi (D8bitgaming) and Alex (@MrPuddins) bring aboard the first ever Stats Will Roll guest. Joining them for some character creation fun is Jarred from Monsters and Multiclass (@Monsters_Multi), a fellow DnD discussion podcast that also focuses on character building. An episode of firsts all around, the duo and their friend break the mold and make the first ever Stats Will Roll multiclass! What happens when a goblin gets a hold of a magic tome and decides to usurp the hobgoblin overlords? 

This week, Abi (@D8bitGaming) and Alex (@MrPuddins) talk about in an upcoming home game they will be playing in.  With Strahd looming over the horizon, Abi needs a new character to play, but she is STUMPED! Good thing we make a characters on Stats Will Roll, and this week, the usual is changed up. The duo throw aside the random character generator and take the time to discuss Point Buy, clerics, and deciding what to play when lost. 

BEEP BOOP ZORP! This week on Stats Will Roll, Abi (@D8bitGaming) and Alex (@MrPuddins) of Chromatic Chimera fame break down the fun of playing as DnD's robot... the Warforged. They explore their origins in the game, playing as them, and then talk about playing them as a rock em, sock em, blasty monk!

This week, the duo, Alex (@MrPuddins) and Abi (@D8bitGaming) revisit the paladin, but instead of a suit of plate mail, they're strapping on a shell as they explore playing a Tortle! A smiting tortle seems all well and good, but the duo make sure to the lore of the tortle into making this character's story work. 

Ever wonder how to play an evil cleric that isn't overtly evil? Abi (@D8bitGaming) and Alex (@MrPuddins) of Chromatic Chimera dive into the intricacies of playing the holy people of DnD. Instead of making a cleric of a demonic deity or of a dark god, our duo come up with a sleazy cleric based on a historical concept... paying for divine salvation... A cleric that charges holy indulgences. 

On this episode of Stats Will Roll, Abi (@D8bitGaming) and Alex (@MrPuddins) end up having to make what is perhaps their most out of the ordinary character.  What happens when they have to make an Elf Barbarian?  That's right! An Elf Barbarian. The duo looks into different ways to flavor the 'Rage' besides just getting really angry along with how exactly one could make a HIGH Elf Barbarian's story fit just right. 

On this episode, Abi (@D8bitGaming) and Alex (@MrPuddins), revisit a class they previously explored. It was bound to happen, seeing there are only 12 classes.  How will they go about making a character of the ranger when they had looked at it before with 'The Cobbler.' Luckily, the random generator provides the duo with a different race, background, and alignment. What happens when our duo has to make... a HUMAN? Tune in as they explore playing a human in a world filled with elves, lizardfolk, and minotaurs as well as discuss different ideas for a ranger!

A Dungeon and Dragons 5E podcast by Alex (@MrPuddins) and Abi (formerly @realmelonlord, now @D8bitGaming) as they explore the freedom of character creation and narrative in DnD. They explain why they decided to make the podcast, and how they will utilize a random character generator to make a random character that the duo will then go on to create, both mechanics and narrative-wise. Will what they make be viable? That's for them and for you to decide.
