Perspective Creates Possibilities With The Right Mindset

Perspective Creates Possibilities With The Right Mindset

Learn the difference between finding a different perspective when things don't go your way, and how it can change how you feel.

When things don't go our way it is easy to be frustrated, angry and stressed out.

When we react this way it only creates negative feelings, we don't have a good time and our energy becomes negative.

By reframing the situation with a different perspective we then can create new possibilities and outcomes no matter the situation.

When we look for the good in things we can find humor and create a new energy that literally changes how we feel.

Not only do we feel better but we create positive energy and things begin to shift and go our way.

There is always a different perspective in anything we're dealing with. It may not be easy but it's there if we just try.

By using our mind to find a different perspective we beat the enemy that tries to tie us up with frustration, fear, stress and anxiety.

There are blessing, gifts, and even miracles that we can create just by having a different perspective and mindset.

Why I Dropped out of College, Addiction and Prison

Why I Dropped out of College, Addiction and Prison

In this episode you'll learn why I dropped out of college.

You'll learn why that was a blessing for me.

How having a mentor can change the game for us.

What happened when my Dad sold the Car Wash and what I did then.

How having the largest appraisal firm in Utah was a blessing and a curse.

How opiate addiction affected my life even though I was a functioning addict.

Learn what caused me to go to Federal Prison and it wasn't drug related in any way.

Picture this: You had a life with 14 years addicted to opiates, loss of a multi million dollar

business, file for bankruptcy, indicted by the feds and sent to prison. A year and a half

later when you get out your wife isn't sure she wants to stick with you. How do you save

yourself and your relationship, create an epic one and start winning again?

● Your mind is the most powerful gift we have when we take the time to focus inside and work

with the magic it can create.

We either create our future or allow it to create itself for us. It's a choice.

A Beautiful Day in The Neighborhood - Be Present, Forgive

A Beautiful Day in The Neighborhood - Be Present, Forgive

In this episode of the Winning After The Fall podcast, Steve dives into the movie a beautiful day in the neighborhood about Mr. Rogers.

If you don't forgive others it's really just hurting yourself and those around you.

You can't let go of anger, depression, resentments etc. etc. until you learn to forgive.

You don't know what has gone on in other peoples lives to understand why they do or say what they do without being in their shoes.

You never know what's causing them to do or say the things they do.

You don't have to ever forget, but you must forgive to allow yourself to move on.

You can't truly love or forgive others until you can love and forgive yourself  Find something to take out your frustrations and anger on.

Go pound on the piano keys like Mr. Rogers. Go raise hell on your motorcycle like Steve did growing up, or just go yell at the top of your lungs. Find something that allows you to take out your anger on.

To Change The Fruit You Need To Change The Root!

To Change The Fruit You Need To Change The Root!

In this episode of the Winning After The Fall podcast, Steve dives into changing your mindset in order to change your current reality. Do you want something different?

You can’t change the fruit until you change the root.

What is the root? The mindset.

You can’t make a change in your life until you make a change with your mindset.

How do you deal with physical pain when you know that the people around you are offering you drugs?

First: you need to believe that you can do it without the drugs.

You need to communicate with your doctors and the people around you: tell them your past history.

What medications without narcotics are there that could help with the pain?

When you’re in addiction, you tell yourself and those around you that you need it.

When you’re sober, you need to change the root to have a different outcome.

Instead of focusing on how bad the pain is and how much you “need” drugs, tell yourself that it’s not that bad.

Your energy flows where attention goes.

Ask yourself:
Are you hanging out with positive people or negative people? It’s choice, it’s your choice.

● What areas of your life aren’t you getting the results that you want?

Be the worst In the foursome!

Be the worst In the foursome!

In this episode you'll learn why we lose focus when we're the best in the foursome.

Have you ever played golf with players that were worse than you?

What type of focus did you have after you had a couple bad shots or a triple

bogey? Did you stay focused on your round and try to shoot the best score possible?

If you're like most of us you lose interest and start playing without the focus you would

if you were playing with other players that were better. Surrounding ourselves with better

people whether on the golf course, the office, or in your business elevates your play.

We learn and grow or stay stagnant depending on the people who we spend most of our

time with.

Surround yourself with winners in all areas of your life that you want to have better results and

you'll get them.

Don't listen to the stories in your head.

Don't listen to the stories in your head.

In this episode you'll learn first hand what it's like to worry about what others think.

You'll hear when I ask my son what he thought or felt when I had to go to Federal Prison.

He ducked out and didn't want to answer? Why is the question to ask.

He had fear of what others might think. He had feeling of being uncomfortable.

When we let fear or feelings control what we do we can't ever become the best version of ourselves.

Ask yourself if you can feel depressed, sad, angry, or frustrated when you're focused on gratitude.

It's virtually impossible to have any of those feeling when gratitude is what you're focused on.

Discover how gratitude changes my entire out look while I was in federal prison.

Ask yourself: Are you strong enough mentally to face your indictment and still keep your power?

● What's going on in your marriage or other relationships now you're indicted and likely going to prison?
