It's no secret that I am severely paralysed, I broke when neck when I was 18. It left me a C5 complete tetraplegic/quadriplegic which means my arms and legs are both paralysed. To be honest, most of my body is paralysed.
It's not something I focus on a lot or at least is not something that I share very often. Yes, I say I'm paralysed, but to go into detail like I have in this podcast is something entirely different.
am a C5 complete tetraplegic/quadriplegic. This is my morning routine, I don't normally share such vulnerability however I think it's time I did.

EP14 - Finding Your CORE VALUES and Why It Is so Important
Do you ever wonder what your fundamental core values are?
Things like honesty, integrity, understanding, compassion, hard-working, and loyal to name just a few.
We all have them, and we all expect others to also have these core values. Especially in the way they treat us.
However, do you have your set few? And do you really show up as them in every aspect of your life?
Those are the questions I ask in this podcast.

EP13 - Why BEING ENOUGH Is More Important Than Perfect
I've spent most of my life trying to live up to perfection. With today's Internet and peer pressure going global the pressure has never been so high to perform and be the best possible version of yourself.
Most of the time we have to be even better than that, we have to be perfect.
It's no wonder when we fail to hit that mark we feel demoralised, fed up, and like we are not enough.
In this podcast Steven Webb talks about not being enough, and how it changed in 2019 for him. The strife of protection was literally stopping him doing any of the things he wanted to do. Being paralyse physically is one thing, being mentally paralysed is a whole different story.

You know the ones that knock you on your but, leave you starry-eyed wondering what the hell hit you.
I'm your host Steven Webb, and in this episode, I share the story of when I found out my friend Clare Brooks had passed away.
These times have a huge emotional impact on us, so how do we deal with them?

EP11 - How to live with a Big Heart without Suffering
One of the hardest things I've had to do since I started to open my heart is to also know what is mine to carry and what isn't.
In this podcast, I talk about the development of empathy, from when you are very young to the higher levels of empathy that very few people manage to get to.
Empathy can really be a great gift, and as the cliche goes it can also be a great burden if we allow it to drown us.
Please enjoy, let me know what you thought. A review would be amazing, and if you could buy me a coffee head over to my website and the link is at the top.
EP10 - How to Free Yourself and Become Fulfilled
Do you ever wonder who you have become?
In this episode I discussed why that happens, and why we feel very unsatisfied with our lives. Why we become everybody else, instead of that ambitious child that was going to stand out and make a difference.
One of the fundamental things about making changes is your ability to understand how you got to where you are. When you understand how you become this person you do not recognise, you then have the gift of what to do about it.
Your host Steven Webb, explains with a simple analogy of a glass and how we build up this ego of the person we are, and what we need to do about it.

EP9 - How 5 Minutes Meditation can Help With Depression
Can meditation really help with your anxiety and depression?
In this episode, I share where you can get a really simple five-minute meditation that I've recorded to help you overcome your feelings of depression.
It really is not as hard as we make it. The solutions are often quite simple, and doing them is a different story.
I don't know anybody that finds meditation easy, in fact, most people that meditate that I know find it really difficult.

EP08 - How to Control Your Thoughts and Enjoy Inner Peace
So you like to know how to control your thoughts?
Sounds good, me too. Well, during my rock bottom as well as the 12 months I spent in bed following my devastating accident I did learn ways in which we can have a little peace of mind from our thoughts.
In this episode, I share my rock bottom story, as well as how I occupied my mind in the 12 months after breaking my neck and ending up severely paralysed.
It is not so much that we need to control our minds or even controller thoughts. It is more about learning to let them be what they are, and then give weight to the ones we like and allow the ones we don't to continue on their way.
Then your subconscious mind will learn eventually the thoughts that you want, as opposed to the thoughts you don't.

I'm your host Steven Webb, and on this Stillness in the Storms episode you will find out how I ended up just over 7 stone and so underweight that you could see every bone in my body.
I share a story that I don't very often talk about. It was when I went bankrupt and lost a computer business that I had started up one of my friends.
I go on to share the 5 lessons I learned from the 12 months of struggling.
Life can be brutal, it can be relentless, and sometimes we cannot see any way through. I don't know of anybody that hasn't struggled at one time in their lives. So if you've struggled, or you are struggling now this is the podcast to listen to.

EP4 - Can Over Thinkers Meditate?
Can people that think a lot really get the benefits from meditation?
Something that would confuse many people when they spend time with me, and even my clients is that I am an over thinker. My brain has this ability to think crazy stuff up almost constantly, and most of the time when I don't want it to.
What is it about bedtime? Suddenly everything is important, from how aeroplanes work to what I'm going to buy my niece in six years time for her 30th birthday. It's crazy.
In this episode I helped to enlighten us about meditation and how even over thinkers can meditate.
EP3 - Managing Expectations vs Your Inner Peace
So you want inner peace? However, you are still frustrated and others seem to have a different idea.
Expectations are everywhere, whether they are of ourselves or somebody else it is not something that we can easily get rid of.
In this episode we talk about managing those expectations so they don't get out of hand and you can still have inner peace.
- Different types of expectations.
- Should we drop expectations?
- What are healthy expectations?
- Moving beyond unhealthy expectations.
EP2 - Building the Foundations of Stillness
In this episode we look at what it means to build a foundation of calmness, and stillness within your life. What kind of tools and practices may be needed.
It isn't as simple as waiting until something happens, and then creating the stillness. It's about having their groundwork and foundation to be ready for when something happens.
