This week the Final Score is honored to be joined by a Notre Dame Football legend Mr. Rick Mirer!! He played college football at Notre Dame and was selected second overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the 1993 NFL Draft.In his first season, Mirer set the rookie records for passing yards, attempts, and completions. Unable to duplicate his success, however, Mirer was traded after four seasons to the Chicago Bears. He spent the remainder of his career with the New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, and Detroit Lions, mostly as a backup. Tonight The Final Score is honored to be joined by NFL legend Mr. Mike Bass. He was part of one of the most iconic and played plays in Super Bowl history. Michael Thomas Bass (born March 31, 1945) is a former American football player who played in the National Football League (NFL) as a cornerback for the Washington Redskins from 1969 through 1975. He appeared in 104 consecutive games for the Redskins, recorded 30 interceptions, and scored the Redskins' only touchdown in Super Bowl VII on a 49-yard fumble return. In 2002, Bass was selected as one of the 70 greatest Redskins players of all time. A native of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Bass played college football as a halfback for the Michigan Wolverines from 1964 through 1966. Today The Final Score is joined by Pastor Willie Mclawhorn to talk about the 11th annual Will Mclawhorn Memorial basebal Tournament which will take place April 18th and 19th at the Northeast Academy baseball field in Lasker, NC.  This year's teams will be Ahoskie Christian from Ahoskie, Bethel Christian out of Askewville, Ridgecroft Academy from Ahoskie, and host Northeast Academy from Lasker.  We will be offering a minimum of one scholarship to a senior from each participating team who has filled out the required application. Concessions will be available as well as our popular t-shirt table.  Come join us for some good high school baseball, and offer your support to the young men who will be furthering their education.

The Final Score returns with a great interview.  This time we are joined by legendary Georgia Bulldogs running back and former Pittsburgh Steeler , Mr. Tim Worley.  We had some technical difficulties at first but man what a great interview as Mr. Worley talks about his time at Georgia, playing for the Steelers, his demons that ultimately got him out of the league and how he has overcome those demons.  We thank Mr. Worley for his time and for being a great guest.
