A Survivor's Story
Hear from Clare Osment from Ongoing Women's Local Support also known locally as OWLS to support women who have left refuges and are trying to rebuild their life.
Clare set up the group in 2016 after experiencing the same challenge herself.
Clare spent 10 weeks in a refuge run by Stockport without Abuse, a charity you heard from in Episode 2 of this podcast.
This is a survivor’s story, so some of the subject matter and language may not be suitable for all audiences.

Stockport without Abuse Therapeutic Interventions - Case Study
Hear from Stockport without Abuse, a charity that provides a range of services to help support women, men and children who are affected by domestic abuse.
First up is the charity’s CEO Naz Ghodrati who tells you what they’ve learnt from their Safe Choices programme, which works prominently with high risk young people with complex cases.
After Naz you’ll hear from their Children and Young Persons prevention worker Emily Norman. She’s here to tell you about a fantastic Domestic Abuse resource project that’s currently being piloted in a school in Stockport. She tells you more about what’s been going including how they’re using stop motion animation to share key messages about domestic violence.

Stepping Hill Hospital IDVA - Case Study
Hear from Stepping Hill Hospital about how they’re addressing domestic abuse. They’ve piloted a dedicated independent domestic violence advocate to work with staff and patients to remove the stigma and fear about disclosing, asking about and reporting domestic abuse.
