This is a seasonal October episode that serves as a year in review of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt in a particular year. 24 began with a reminder to not just intellectualize and conceptualize my ideas around pleasure, but to work them out in real life in an embodied way. I have also been challenged to build deeper community where I feel seen and supported.. and to pay attention to my inner child. Here are my stories and philosophies.
In this episode I dive deeper into the realization of being a displaced person, explain the insidious nature of displacement and mental and emotional turmoil of feeling unsettled in where one calls home.

Happy 2019 loves!! On this very first episode of the year I decided to share space with my friend Tiffany who also identifies as a philosopher. Obvi we had to talk about the intersections of being young, black, women and OUT HERE philosophizing. Tiff and I met on our trip to the Motherland and after sharing an immersive couple of weeks in the warm west African sun, we bonded on a lot of things and I can’t wait for you to witness her stories and philosophies. And this AMAZING conversation we shared together!
Sharing raw emotions around how messy an ending can be & giving context for why we can’t just tell people to “move on to the next thing” without supporting them with space to grieve the thing they are leaving behind. Don’t listen if you are scared of a woman being emotionally & tearing up in a podcast.
Here I share a play by play of what happens when we are triggered, how that’s different from getting hooked. And what it has looked like for me to take me time to unravel all those knots that Scorpio season has brought to me.

This one is about learning to be at home in a round, curvy body with a tummy that isn’t flat & thighs that definitely touch. The story is about a pretty dehumanizing and somewhat embarrassing money experience that happened to me recently and how I chose to view the experience as an opportunity for growth rather than letting it lead me to a loop of self doubt
A story about matriachs: how they shape us, the potential of the relationship. How a bit of intentionality can go a long way. The philosophy is around communication through language barriers.
