Part I - Living our Faith: Sacrificial Giving Part 3, Take-a-way/Wrap Up
Our host, Sharon Trice, wraps-up this week's Bible Stories about The Widow's Offering and Zacchaeus, from the Gospel of Luke, by engaging our guest's Paul Strand and Valerie Ryan in a wrap-up discussion about what their take-a-ways are from these two stories. For instance, Paul makes note of the fact that out of all the four Gospels the Gospel of Luke is unique in he truly focuses on the ministry of women. Paul states, "Women are all over this Gospel!". Listen and find out what Valerie Ryan has to say about this!

Part I – Living our Faith: Sacrificial Giving Part 2
The Widow’s Offering – Luke Chapter 21, verses 1 through 4. In this episode we hear from our host, Sharon Trice discussing this story with congregation members Valerie Ryan and Paul Strand. In what way did the widow in the text give more than all the others?  What would happen if we all prayed about our gifts and followed scripture?  What is more important—a gift’s monetary value, or its sacrificial value?  And lastly, have you ever asked God in prayer to guide you in making an offering, or a pledge commitment?   Scripture read by Enid Malm.

In this episode we hear from our host, Sharon Trice discussing the story of Zacchaeus with congregation members Valerie Ryan and Paul Strand.  Our scripture is read by congregation member Enid Malm.  Listen closely to the story from Luke, Chapter 19, Verses 1 through 10, then ask yourself:   What do you think made it easy for Zacchaeus to be so generous?   Under what circumstances has it been easy for you to be generous in your life?  What do you suppose the connection is between receiving the gifts of Christ and returning these gifts in service to him?
