Q-Tip otw #3: A key to deepening relationships
One of the most important things in all of our lives is our relationships. Whether that be our relationships with ourselves, our parents, a spouse, a friend, a coworker, etc.  How can we make these relationships better, deeper, more intimate?  We have to have the difficult conversations. We have to talk about the insecurities, the fears, the VULNERABILITIES.  It's when we do that, that we truly open our heart and allow for the opportunity to be seen, heard, and accepted. Which is what I believe nearly every human desires.  Despite the fear, if we don't open our hearts, we'll never have what we truly desire. Sending love and peace to you this week. Eating Disorders and OCD feat. Madeleine Sholz-Lague
Thank you so much for listening to this episode! There's so much to be said about eating disorders and even the part that OCD can/does play in those, and my hope is that perhaps this episode sheds some light on the topic, or becomes a conversation starter for yourself or for with a loved one. It's important to take care of your body, but let's not forget to also make sure we're taking care of our minds too. Also, a reminder: You are enough, just as you are. So much love.  - Tommy Connect with Madeleine:  https://www.instagram.com/secondhand_toast/ Do you have a story you want to share? Mental Health and the Military feat. Brendan Mercier
While I was recording this episode with Brendan, I was just struck by his vulnerability, his honesty, and his desire to help others. As I went back to edit this, I continued to be more and more amazed. This is one of those conversations that you're going to want to listen to multiple times. From sharing his own story and battles with mental health, to speaking about mental health in the military and the challenges our armed forces face, this is jam-packed with incredible nuggets of wisdom, heart, and courage.  During this crazy time with the coronavirus causing many of us to feel isolated and distant, it's so important to lean into each other and to connect at a heart level. This episode will allow you to do just that with Brendan.  Do you have a story you want to share? OCD and Intrusive Thoughts: A conversation starter
Disclaimer: There are some topics in this episode that may be uncomfortable for some listeners to hear being talked about, so please know that going into listening. I am so grateful for all of you who take the time out of your day to listen to these podcasts. This was the start of a conversation about OCD, and being such a personal topic I had to take a couple of recording sessions to get this one done, so if you notice a slight change in audio quality/volume, please forgive me. I mention intrusivethoughts.org during this podcast, but they recently changed their name to madeofmillions.com. Still looks like a great resource. I'll link a few resources that have been helpful to me to learn more about OCD and intrusive thoughts, and I hope they're helpful to you too! https://www.madeofmillions.com/conditions/obsessive-compulsive-disorder https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/living-sticky-mind/201907/unwanted-intrusive-thoughts https://peaceofmind.com/ So much love for all of you! Bullying and Mental Health feat. Tom Dahlborg Sr.
Hey everyone, thanks for listening! This episode was so fun to create because I got to interview my own dad! He is a wealth of knowledge and has the biggest heart, which I'm sure you all will be able to see when you listen to this episode. We talk about what Adverse Childhood Experiences (or ACEs) are, as well as how bullying can play a role in mental health issues and how the combination of both ACEs and bullying can be lethal.
