He has been at Kearney for 17 years and has been leading their Striv program for 6 years. During our chat, Robb shares the story of their first experience with Striv and his students’ reaction, how one video that he created turned into a four-year program, and the importance of teaching students how to create digital media content in high school.

This program is a great example of what can happen when you get buy-in from your admin team at a small school. I’m excited to share our conversation with Mellissa Donohoe at Mullen Public Schools. She has been the Striv Coach at Mullen for the last 3 years and has turned their program into something that students are excited about. Mellissa shares what they’ve learned going from streaming on an iPad to their entire 8th grade class helping produce their stream, how they have connected streaming with learning in the classroom and the importance of creating a content calendar along with communication and collaboration.

This program is a great example of what can happen when you turn your school’s live stream into a FUN learning opportunity. I’m excited to share our conversation with Jason Daffer at Broken Bow High School. He has been the Striv Coach at Broken Bow for the last 3 years and has turned their program into something special for students to be a part of. Jason shares what they’ve learned going from an automated system to having 15 students helping during a broadcast, how they have sold $10k in advertising during their broadcasts and the importance of providing feedback and training to students in their program.
