Having a mindful birth with Clodagh Connell

Clodagh and I talk about her journey into motherhood and how her own experience of pregnancy saw her desire to have an online antenatal course centred around mindfulness. This is what led her to create The Dream Birth Company.

What is Maternal and Neonatal Advocacy with Karen-Grace Siriboe
In this week's episode I'm talking with Karen-Grace Siriboe. Karen is a communications and PR specialist in maternal and neonatal advocacy as well as a trained midwife.
In this episode we discuss the term advocacy in relation to pregnancy and pregnancy outcomes; how can expectant mothers and their families advocate for themselves at any stage during pregnancy and labour and how this also forms part of the discussion around women from BAME communities being 5 times more likely to die from complications during pregnancy and childbirth.

Recovering from birth trauma and PTSD with Clio Wood
In this episode, I'm talking to Clio Wood, a mum of 1 and founder of &Breathe Wellbeing.
Clio's birth experience with her daughter 6 years ago was traumatic and left her with so much pain that went undiagnosed for almost year. As well as leaving her with PTSD the whole experience made the first year of motherhood one she had not envisioned or prepared for.
Thankfully, Clio got the help she needed and because of her experience she is now a big women's health advocate, talking passionately about the importance of self-care for mums, postnatal recovery and sex and launched her wellness business, &Breathe.
