Stuart is joined by Daryl Dittmer. Daryl has been sober from drink and drugs for many decades and recently published his first book "When I stop fighting".

In this episode we meet Daryl and hear his story. From the lows of alcohol and drug dependence in his late teens to the inspiring ways he has been able to give back since "getting his head out of his ass".

Stu is joined by the mindful super himself Paul MacCormack. Over the last decade and more Paul has become a significant figure within the turf industry and the mental health aspect of the job. Paul regularly talks and lectures on the subject of mindfulness and has gained numerous qualifications within the field BUT before this there was a young Superintendent setting out on his turf journey. Long days, long years a big projects eventually led Paul to near burnout standing atop a sand dune. What happened then brings us to where we are today.

Stu is again joined by Dr John to discuss field trials and the statistical data they provide. What is needed to produce reliable and accurate data?
The way this data is displayed and described can sometimes be misleading to the average turfie sou what should we be looking out for when presented with this information?

Mark joins Stu again to talk about some of the current battles the industry faces. looking back over both their careers the guys discuss how things have changed and how winters are becoming a shorter period for project work based on the longer mowing season.

Just as we thought LIV were waining and the golfing world might be coming back together Jon Rahm makes possibly the highest profile switch yet. What could this mean for golf? Stu and Sam discuss.

Nearly 20 months after their first chat Stu is once again joined by Craig the Landlord. The boys catch up on all things social media and Craig updates us on this year's Man vs Barrel, what we can expect from the furloughed arms and a few other Christmas crackers.

As Stu clocks up 6 years of sobriety Phil joins him to host and lead a chat looking back on the journey so far and a few ups and downs from 2023.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me (Stu) on my journey so far. I hope I have helped others along the way by being as honest as I can about my addiction and mental health.

Something fun for xmas as Stu is joined by the likely lads Phil and Dean. They rate and discuss their individual top 35 films of all time in their honest (and wrong) opinions. Stu thought long and hard and formed a serious list while sadly the other two carried out goggle searches. Enjoy.

Stu is joined by Tom to chat all things health. What defines health and can we be healthy and happy in todays society? of course we can but at what cost? should we be given more time to exercise and are kids being exposed to a healthy lifestyle enough? lots going on here.

Stu is joined by Eoin to chat through the monumental year 2023 has been from a physical challenge stand point. Eoin has completed a challenge in each quarter of the year and only last week finished his season with a 60km run in under 6 hours. Amazing!!

Pat has worked within the media side of the turf industry for thirty years and has long been a passionate advocate for superintendents and the stresses and strains of their profession. He chats with Stu about how the industry has evolved and they discuss the possible reasons why along with the positives and negatives of things such as social media.

As Pat approaches fourteen years of sobriety and Stu six they discuss the disease that is alcoholism and how's its affected both their lives.

Stu is joined by former course manager Mark Jones. Mark's career in green keeping was turned on its head when he felt he must resign from his position as course manager at Morecambe golf club. The manner in which Mark was escorted off the premises left him feeling like a criminal and he took the brave decision to pursue a case for constructive dismissal against the golf club. In episode 1 Mark explains his career in turf, how he ended up at Morecambe after a long and distinguished career in the Manchester area and the events that lead up to his day in court.

Stu is joined by a former work colleague, Zach, to discuss his career to date and how his life has progressed since making a pre Brexit move to holland. Initially making the move as a seasonal staff member Zach has moved through the ranks and is currently working as an acting head greenkeeper. Later in the episode the guys chat about mental health as ask the question "is enough actually being done" within the industry?
