Manny and fill-in co-host Gabe Alvarez talked to CIF-San Joaquin Section Commissioner Michael Garrison on the tough journey this school year for student-athletes while trying to get them back on the field/court while also discussing the transformation of the student section game over the last couple of decades.

Manny also talks to the Royal Kingdom and the St. Augustine Saints Pit, both from Southern California, on the return of high school sports and what they plan to keep the student section going despite possibly not being able to attend games.

We also shared about the situations and themes they have planned in the past years like the Kingdom smoke bombs after every football score and the Saints Pit infamous purple curtain.

Manny and Bannon talked to the Canal Winchester Tribe of Columbus, Ohio on not being able to completely fill the stands to cheer on their Indians, but finding ways to keep the Tribe informed while also discussing just how great THEE Ohio State Buckeyes are!

We also talk to Lili McCarty and Riley Jenkins of the St. Anthony’s Saints Pit of Long Beach, California about the recent good news of high school sports returning to Southern California. We talk about how insane the Saints Pit, the defending Los Angeles Basketball Student Section Champions, were last year, including distracting the opposing free throw shooter with newspapers and crutches.

Manny and Bannon also share their thoughts on the CIF-SS situation with the return of sports while also discussing the return of NCAA Football in video game form, while also discussing how dirty NBA2K19 server did Manny. Manny also credits Bannon for arriving for the podcast despite a lack of sleep. Kudos Bannon!

Manny and fill-in co-host Gabe Alvarez talked to CIF-Southern Section Commissioner Rob Wigod on the tough journey this school year for student-athletes while trying to get them back on the field/court while also clarifying the CIF-SS stance despite misinformation that some fans while also discussing Club Sports.

We also talk about the evolution of the Student Section game that has been a giant beast in Southern California.

Bannon Clark joins Manny in the second segment to talk to Molli Davis and Katie Hughes of the Earlham Bird Nest of Iowa about their student section showing up in limited numbers, but missing key elements like the band and how they adjust to the cold mid-west temperatures.

We also talk to El Modena Rowdy Rooter of California leader Kiera Rae as well as former leaders Abby Capra and Alessandra Spadaro on their memories of former Rowdy Rooter leader Ryder Wade, who died in an accident last month. Ryder is considered one of the most energetic and greatest Student Section leaders of all time. Not just at El Modena, OF ALL TIME!

We also go long on the topic of food, mainly Bannon and Kiera.

Manny and Bannon also share their thoughts on CIF-SS situation with the return of sports. Bannon also shares his thoughts on Desert Valley youth soccer coach Paul Thompson, who passed away last month to Covid.

Manny and Bannon talk to Zack Wasson and Edison Shipley of the Barren County Student Section in Kentucky. We talk about the Student Section returning to the stands in very limited numbers while also talking about their love for Kentucky Wildcats basketball!

We also talk to Josh Backus and Ava Chiesa of the Turlock Dogpound of Northern California. We talk about how they’ve kept school sprit alive despite no sports in California, although they do plan to have a Cross Country Student Section if the sport gets the ok to run!

We also talk to Arizona prep writer Gabe Alvarez (Manny’s older brother). We talk about the football and student section scene in Arizona while also discussing how Student Sections evolved since his days in high school as well as a horrific prank on a rival school when he was a student. It’s savage stuff!

Manny also shows Bannon a sign that the Chiefs are going to repeat as Super Bowl Champs with a rookie baseball card from the early 90s while also eating 30 year old baseball bubble gum. Spoiler alert, its gross!

We talk to Cole, who is on the show for the fifth time, about his first year in college as well as the student section life at Penn State while talking about his days as the leader of the MESS!

Manny and Chris talk to the Voice of the El Modena Vanguards of Orange Bob Ruddy and the Voice of the Servite Friars of Anaheim Tim Brundige on the secrets of the life of a Public Address Announcers. We discuss our favorite things that we have done behind the microphone while also discussing our embarrassing moments.

We also started our two week parter of our salute to the class of 2020 with Fairmont Prep Loud Crowd of Anaheim leader Andrew Lewis and Palm Desert Aztec Army leader Bannon Clark and joining the outgoing seniors is incoming senior Hector Santiago of the Salesian Stampede of Los Angeles. The student section leaders took the floor and discussed the memories and advice to Hector for next season. Quite possibly our best segment we have ever had.

Manny Alvarez talks to co-host Chris Hulme talk to the Fairmont Prep Loud Crowd of Anaheim, who we consider the best small school student section in Southern California. They brought in the most members on the show in our podcast history.

We spoke with Loud Crowd Advisor Ivan Ortiz, Loud Crowd Commissioner Andrew Lewis as well Loud Crowd members William Tetteh-Martley, Thristian Crabtree, Josh Sanchez, Nick Mikhail and Enrique Zanotta.

We talked to the Loud Crowd on what it took to be one to be one of the best student sections in Orange County in just their second year of experience. We also talk about they’re hunger to get better and the drive while also talking about their basketball rivalry with Pacifica Christian of Newport Beach and their student section, the Wedge along with their friendship with the Edison MESS of Huntington Beach (Mighty Edison Student Section) and the big battle with Capistrano Valley of Mission Viejo and the Cage.

We also talk to Dan Albano of the Orange County Register on the COVID-19 situation in the sports world in the OC as well as the situation with fundraising for sports programs this summer.

Manny Alvarez and Chris Hulme talk about the aftermath after losing one of the greatest basketball players to ever play and an ambassador to girls basketball, Lakers legend Kobe Bryant as well as his daughter Gianna Bryant, former Edison sports star and basketball coach Christina Mauser, Orange Coast College baseball coach Joe Altobelli and the others that perished in the crash on Sunday in Calabasas as we talk about how each one affected us.
