CAPTURING OUR THOUGHTS
Thoughts have amazing power. How about our thoughts today? Neuroscience has revealed that our thoughts have remarkable power to change the structure & function of our brain. We come across different challenges on a daily basis. We have no control over these events or circumstances, but we can control our responses to these events or circumstances. The natural tendency of human beings is to entertain negative thoughts in the mind. The choices we make are also based on our thinking.. We cannot blame anyone for our actions. The positive attitude Joseph kept throughout his life made his life joyful peaceful & grateful. Shake off all the unhealthy toxic thoughts that can pull us down. THE WISDOM THAT COMES FROM GOD
We often associate the word "Wisdom" with Knowledge. To some extent, education & experience make a person wise. But this alone doesn't make a person wise. When I look into my life, I remember myself taking foolish decisions, uttering foolishness, believing many lies without realising the real truth behind false statements. Solomon asked for God's wisdom & knowledge. Jesus spoke the words of wisdom. To lead a married life that pleases God needs wisdom. Good parenting requires the wisdom from God. GOD THE SUPREME SOVEREIGN GOD THE GOD OF UNIVERSE
How negligible are we, when we think of the vast Universe & it's complex nature. If we keep our eyes wide open, we can recognise God's eternal power & divine nature through what we see around us. LEARNING FROM ONE ANOTHER
God has put us together with different purposes in the Church. One main purpose is to learn from one another. Above all, we know that Jesus is the perfect model for us to learn & imitate. Church is the best platform where we can observe & know & learn from our brothers & sisters. By providing all the learning experiences, what God intends? A HELPING HAND
Are we listening to the silent cries of those around us - silent cries for love & acceptance, silent cries for getting back the lost self worth, cries to come out of hopelessness & discouragement. Let's fill ourselves with God's love, compassion & mercy, so we can pour it into the lives of others. David always rejoiced in the Lord, So he could become a refuge for all who came to him. Ruth heard the silent cry of her mother in law & she stood with her. Jesus easily developed deeper connections with everyone. How about us? THE JOY THAT TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING
This joy we realise when the vaccum of our heart gets filled with His loving presence. This joy we experience when we forgive someone unconditionally like Jesus. This joy we experience when our eyes are wide open to comprehend the wonderful things in His word. This joy we experience when we look around at the nature & start admiring the beauty of His creation.....The Samaritan woman found this inner joy when she met her Messiah....How about us? FEELING SECURE IN HIS PRESENCE
Insecure feelings crawl into our lives without our awareness and attention most of the times. The feeling of insecurity brings to our mind the strong attitude of "good for nothing". When we look into Bible, a great number of heroes who achieved great victories were also once insecure.
