The SunShining Podcast
Hi, my name is NCR.
In 2015, I started a created a photograph website called "SunShining Photography".
And somehow I turned it into a ministry called "The SunShining".
The SunShining has evolved somewhat over the last few years.
But my main goal and purpose has remained somewhat the same.
To share bright content. Now when I talk about bright content, I am not talking about my own content because I am terrible at creating high quality content.
I love to share other peoples books and music.
That's why on this podcast I might have guests who have written books.
My main goal with this podcast is not to advertise amazing Christian products though.
I want to have real conversations with real people.
(You don't have to be a writer to be a guest on this podcast.)
And by real conversations, maybe some theological ones, maybe some practical ones.
And my biggest hope for this season of the SunShining podcast...
Is to shine some light into life, and and maybe encourage/inspire you to turn the light switch on and be a light in other peoples lives.
Also with this podcast I just want to give you something to think about. Because I love to help people think.

Today I just wanted to share a few about God's love for you.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8
"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not." - 1 John 3:1

It is harder to grasp it for yourself.

It's really not about ownership. It's about relationship.
God wants to have a relationship with you.
I don't know who you are.
If you don't have a relationship with God I encourage you to start one.
Maybe you have had a relationship with God for awhile.
That is great.
I encourage you to continue growing in your relationship with him.

How much control does God have over your life?
How much a part of your life is God?

A few weeks ago here on The SunShining podcast I shared a feel things that you should tell or ask yourself everyday.
Today I just want to add to that list.
One question that I have kind of been asking myself for the last few weeks is What is something that I want people to think about today?
I feel like the question I should be asking myself everyday is...
"What is a message you want me to share today Lord?"
And so just a question I want to leave you with is...
"What do you want me to do today Lord?"
Make that a question you ask yourself daily.
Give yourself to God.
Allow yourself to be owned by Him.

What do I want people to think about today?
That is a good question.
If you noticed this week I release 3 episodes of daily sunshine.
So not daily.
But that is because I have a lot of other things I am doing.
Anyway, on Tuesday, I was not planning on releasing an episode of daily SunShine, and I didn't.
But a thought came to me that I wanted to share, and then I didn't end up sharing it there.
It is such a profound thought. I did not want it to get lost among the many daily sunshine episodes so I decided to wait and share it with you guys.
You ready for it...?
This is what I want you to think about today...
The things you own.
Do you really own them?
Or do they own you?
My thoughts on this topic made me think of a piece I wrote when I was 17 years old.

I can't say I agree with everything I wrote when I was seventeen.
It may not be theologically correct.
But it sure makes you think right?
