Emlyn and Mike talk about the UFO sightings of 17 March 1986 in the Swansea area and beyond, when numerous witnesses saw craft displaying lights and we hear an interview they recorded recently with WILLIAM MINERS who had returned home in Mumbles from work that evening and saw a huge triangle going over. Was it just an RAF refuelling exercise which was the official explanation, which took place from 7 to 9 pm? Maybe, but what William saw was at 6 pm. And others' sightings were after 9 pm. Emlyn goes through some reports from his long-lost notebook recently discovered - notably, a report from Port Talbot in June 2008 when a craft resembling two crosses joined together was seen by James Clarke heading over the town and mountains behind, a report from Talycoppa, Llansamlet of October 2008, when the witness, Gary saw a craft light up his garden before being joined by another. Then there's a 1977 report of a green cigar-shaped object over Bonymaen, a sighting from Winchwen in the late 60s of three silver discs and a night-time landing of a huge craft in Dunvant Primary School field in1977, with associated 7 ft-tall beings! Emlyn and Mike are with each other and Grant is on his own with them in the studio. They select a few choice cases from the Great British UFO Archive. Emlyn and Mike visited JOHN HANSON, keeper of the archive a few days before and made a start collecting Welsh reports to add to SUFON's own database. These include a daytime sighting in July 1965 at Rhossili of two huge metal spheres, personal descriptions of the 1977 Broad Haven landing in the words of some of the schoolboys who saw the craft, a letter from Roland Betts of Dunvant who was one of witnesses of the Night of the Triangles in 1983 and we learn of a trawler off the Isle of Man that had a layer of paint taken away by a flash of light! Emlyn and Mike are with themselves and Grant in the studio discussing a few interesting Welsh sighting reports, some which have not been made public before, including the slate quarrymen in Bethesda who saw a huge silver cigar-shaped object in the early seventies, causing them to miss their tea-break, a strange large object over the sea off Towyn, a dark disc with a hole in it moving over Kilvey Hill in Swansea, a cruise ship-sized diamond-shaped object over Gorseinon and an orb seen moving low over rooftops in Newton, Mumbles last year - and see if you can spot the bit where Mike breaks wind! In this show Emlyn & Mike are joined in the studio by a witness which we`ve called him Stig to an incident that took place at Langland in Gower in the summer of 1983 in . He was with three friends who carried out an early version of a CE5 protocol and saw an upright triangular object hovering just over the sea, which ejected two smaller triangles. There then followed something of an aerial display.
