DAYS 3 & 4 of my 4 day WATER FAST.

My 4 day / 96 hour fast is over. I actually gained weight during this fast. WTF? But overall lost 3 pounds in 4 days. Let me tell you about it.

My Magnificent Biscuits!

My Magnificent Biscuits!

SWEET ON KETO’S MAGNIFICENT BISCUITS

DRY INGREDIENTS:
1 and 1/2 Cups of Blanched Almond Flour
1 3/4 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/8 teaspoon Xanthan Gum
1/4 teaspoon Salt
Fresh Black Pepper - about 1/8 teaspoon
Pinch of Rosemary (optional but good for sweet and savory uses)

WET INGREDIENTS:
3 TB of cold or frozen Butter
1/2 cup of grated Cheddar Cheese
1 egg
1/4 cup of Heavy Cream
Pre heat oven to 350
In a medium bowl, mix together the dry ingredients.
Grate the frozen butter into the dry ingredients. Evenly mix the butter shreds into the flour mixture.
Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese.
Make a well in the center of the mixture.
Add egg into the well.
Add heavy cream to the well.
Use a spoon or rubber spatula to first to mix in the eggs and cream and then keep folding to incorporate the rest of the mixture - until just blended.
Form eight loose balls of dough. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Put the eight balls of doing the parchment paper and press down slightly on each ball to flatten a l

I’m Obsessed with the SCALE.

There seems to be an anti-scale sentiment in the ketogenic community but I think stepping on the scale and weighing yourself every day can be a powerful tool when you have a lot of weight to lose - particularly when you have 100 pounds or more to lose - so I\u2019m discussing my unique point of view when it comes to weighing yourself every day while doing keto or any other low-carb diet or any diet in general. I understand that weight can fluctuate wildly and that weight loss is not a straight line, but overall I think the scale is a perfect way to give yourself a quick look at your progress.
