EP24 - Back Once Again!
Back Once Again For The Renegade Master! It's been a few weeks but we are back. Work and adult-life has got in the way but we are back with a blast and a Whitecaps win! We talk about Portland, DC United, the upcoming San Jose game, and of course the Whitecaps back office changes. The Premier League is warming up quite nicely and we preview this week's games. EP23 - Do you want vinegar or bleach in the eyes?
The Whitecaps Won! We get over the shock of that, and talk about a busy week with several players going in and out. The Premier League starts this week and there's loads to discuss on that front. One of the best away trips of the year for the Whitecaps is on the horizon and we'll be taking the podcast down the I5 - If you are heading down, look us up! EP22 - Ejector Seats Ready!
It's another week with no Premier League football. The Whitecaps got a point on the road, so that's good - we review the game, and talk over the latest email from the 'Caps about season ticket renewals. There's a game coming up against Kendall Waston and some other ex-Caps. Can this team go there and get a result? Twitter didn't want much this week. Rod says you have to do better next week! EP21 - Remember that time you nearly signed a striker?
Deja-vu here.... The Whitecaps have had a terrible week. The Cavalry ran riot and Custer was nowhere in sight. San Jose helped themselves to an easy 3 points. We follow on from last week's pod, and discuss what can be done to stop the rot at the Whitecaps. EP20 - Whitecaps Woes
The Whitecaps have had a terrible week. They lost 6-1 in LA, then drew against CPL team Cavalry FC, and then lost at home 3-0 to Sporting Kansas City. This week's episode is a breakdown of those results and an extensive 'What Does Twitter Want' section, where you the fans ask what's gone wrong. We talk about what needs to change. EP19 - Come on Holland and Mexico!
The Whitecaps lost in the 95th minute in Seattle, but what a game! We talk about that, and about the game vs LAFC. The Women's World Cup, Copa America, and the Gold Cup all reach their conclusions tomorrow and we are rooting for #ABTUSA - Anyone but the USA. EP18 - Oh Canada!
Canada Day is approaching... There's lots of discussion this week - VAR is at the forefront, as well as two great comeback draws by the Whitecaps. There was disappointment for the Canada Women's International Team at the World Cup and debate about who should have taken that penalty. We go over the Copa America / the antics of Luis Suarez, and Canada's excellent Gold Cup results so far, and then as usual answer your questions in What Does Twitter Want, finishing with a strong Red and Yellow Card section. This episode is dedicated to a good friend, sports junkie, metal head, and fan of the Podcast - Mike Marshall - who sadly passed away this week.
It's yet another quiet week in football. Finally, the Whitecaps have a game coming up at the weekend and we preview that upcoming match vs Colorado. There's lots of international football going on and we talk about the Women's World Cup, Copa America, and the Gold Cup. The Whitecaps put everyone to sleep with a thriller against Toronto last time out. We talk over that game and the Whitecaps upcoming games. There was a small game at the weekend between Liverpool and Spurs for the European Cup, and we talk about that. The African Champions League gets a rare mention, as does the Canadian Championship. EP14 - European Finals
This week is a huge week in European football! We preview the two finals that are coming up. The Whitecaps had two great results on the road and we talk over the team and how they might line up going forward. The game against Toronto is coming up and we talk over the local derby. In English football, it was playoff weekend and there were some great games! It was very quiet on twitter this week so we talked instead about some of the upcoming football rule changes. EP13 - MLS Standards?
It's another late episode again this week - We review the Whitecaps game, and talk about the MLS in general. There's general chaos for fans of Arsenal and Chelsea who are trying to get to Baku this week, and we discuss that. Thanks to our friends on Twitter - there's an unexpected discussion about gigs we wish we hadn't gone to... and the usual red and yellow cards.
SWYW EP12 - Guess Who's Back
Late to the party this week - Rod is back in town and he's got a lot to talk about. We go over the last couple of Whitecaps games and preview the two upcoming fixtures. There's still an issue with the Whitecaps off the field, and it's starting to affect the match day experience - we talk about that. Then we preview the Champions League final. There's a Red Card for UEFA in their ticketing and venue selection, and the usual 'What Does Twitter Want?"
SWYW EP11 - European Magic!
This week Rod is on holiday and I'm joined by guest Paul Chapman. It's been an amazing week for British teams in Europe, which has eclipsed a lot of the MLS action. We talk over the Whitecaps win in Colorado and preview the Timbers game on Friday night. The Whitecaps' problems off the field are still not rectified and we talk that over. Then we discuss an amazing week in the UEFA Champions League. The English Premier League reaches a foregone conclusion this weekend. We finish with Twitter questions (Yes, hockey is still a fluke!) and the Red and Yellow Cards section! Paul has 3 Red cards to give out!

There were no VAR issues to moan about this week, but we do complain about Man United and talk about the Premier League run in. They talk about the new players, the new coach, what the expectations should be, what style of play they’ll employ.
They also talk about the upcoming season being the 40th anniversary of the Whitecaps 1979 Soccer Bowl NASL
Championship, and even ask Carl if he had to pick one and give up one between winning the Soccer Bowl and playing in Canada’s only appearance in the World Cup in 1986 in Mexico, which would he choose.
