Can colleges find your finsta? Does it really matter what you post? Jordanna, Haley, and I chat about our experience with social media and our views on how high schoolers use it. We talk a bit about standardized testing of course since we're still awaiting that goal score & we discuss what we're doing over summer!!

Since I just got back from a mission trip last week I wanted to use this opportunity to bring in Avery Wilkins to chat about our experiences with service. For those of you who have done construction type volunteer work you'll most likely be able to relate and for those of you never having experienced that, you'll get a look into what it's like. We recap our mission trip and explain another program we've been involved in- AOSP. Then, we discuss what motivates people to engage in service and how school plays a role in that. 

We encourage you to get outside your comfort zone and get involved in your community one way or another. Have a great day, but try to also help someone else have a great day!!

Being very honest this episode about the little bumps in my life as of late. As we're growing up and going out making our own choices we're bound to make mistakes. I genuinely hope you all don't have to learn from experience and can loose your phone in the lake only vicariously through me. We're all just trying our best and learning as we go! Guest, Nathan Fair, talks with me all about identity and reputation. He reflects on how he's built such a prominent identity for himself in high school, but how that shapes how others view and treat him. Sometimes we get negative reputations, sometimes deserving, sometimes not. I asked Nathan about why he's excited about moving to Colorado to start fresh his senior year. Christian and Aidan came on to chat with me about summer plans! Aidan tells us about his Naval Academy Camp and counselor job. Christian and I get excited for the mission trip we are embarking on soon! During summer everyone's going every which way, but we hope to all enjoy the break from school and make the most out of the time with our friends. All three of us plan on at least attending cross-country workouts so you'll probably find us there at 6:30 every morning.
