In early 2020, and as a response to the crippling effects of the pandemic to small businesses in the US, the Federal Government responded with Paycheck Protection Plan (PPP) loans to help certain qualified small businesses to continue to pay their workers that have been impacted by shuttered businesses and decimated savings and morale.
