DecoTron: with Shane the Owner and Zarina project coordinator
I've been a fan of their work for a while now and decided to get an under-the-hood look at the business and them as people and fellow synthesizers of their client's realities into award-winning, eye-catching projects.
Shane was a touring musician before diving into the fabrication world full-time through a tragic twist of fate.
Zarina an established oil painter @zarinastudio (instagram) joined Shane to lead an unstoppable team of thinkers, tinkerers, and fabricators called DecoTron.
While hearing their stories and perspective we got into the "art of not practicing" where each project is a one off, Unique projects. How Zarina weaves an integrated system of managing projects, personalities, and clients with her threads of emotional intuition and respect.
They are no doubt an asset to Dallas Texas' visual and social fabric. Big thanks for agreeing to speak with me and share with my audience!

Moldazor: Combatting depression with a pencil, a happy rat with wheels, and a 12pack of Ale 8 soda pop!
Derek, AKA Moldazor (pronounced Mõld-DaZaur) is an artist I've been following for his inspiring work and quirky creatures. "Wake up, be a silly guy go to sleep" is a daily inspiration I hold dear to my heart since we all have the tendency to take life too seriously. Along with his bright and welcoming artwork, Derek embraced me with his country-boy hospitality and charm he made me feel so important as we discussed doing this podcast. We managed to secure a recording spot in Downtown L.A. "Kreepy Club" I truly enjoyed the time I shared with Him and his partner @dangerous.disco. thanks again and again Derek.

Brody: Tattooing, Murals, and FartBarf
Episode Details: In this episode we cover his tattooing carrier and his journey to discovering who he is as a muralist. Commissions are much different when the subject is placed on the owners body as apposed to a wall. The Differences and similarities of these two mediums is pretty fun to explore with Broddy and as we conclude the pod cast he mentions " since your podcast is called "synthesizer" your listeners need to hear FartBarf they play synthesizer music"

We cover a lot in our conversation but a nugget I took from the conversation was.
Your voice is like a finger print, you can't make it up, it naturally occurs and can only be noticed

Miguel Almeida (Latino, Skating, Painting, Pugs)
A Dose of culture to my uncultured brain.. I may look the part but I'm far from cultured in my Mexican/ Italian/ Portuguese roots. In this episode, Miguel showcases the rich heritage that is the Latino movement. With Celebrator color palettes he shows us all how harsh some of the realities our Mexican brothers and sisters face every day. I love how he stopped and looked back on how his work was received. He explains through than one movement, gained insight of where to go next with his work.
Excuse the plethora "Likes" spewing from my mouth as I try to explain visual concepts early in this episode. I hope it doesn't detract from the conversation too much.

Do you know what you want to do? Well, it's not over... Now the task is to figure it the fuck out! How do I get what I want to do in front of those who will connect with it the most? Jenkins is one of those artists who has a bedrock of characters and solid vision in his arsenal. Emotional icons he uses to navigate the world. Characters we can all relate to. It was fun as a fan and fellow artist to see the inner workings and give him my first take on his artwork. I hope through this interview you'll get a glimpse of what it looks like to find your voice as an artist creator or art fan yourself.

Monday Update
Mondays are usually full of preparation:
I start the day off by waking with the sun, making coffee feeding all the animals, and playing with the boy for a bit then I get to work.
This morning was a little different, along with 6 cats and 2 dogs I find myself feeding a Chicken! Rosie is our newest addition to the family, we were blessed by Jet and Jen (family on my wife's side) with a Coop some food, and bedding to get us started.
I have podcast guests and work lined up as well. I'm looking forward to bringing you to value laughs, insights, and maybe a few awkward moments because well, I'm new at sharing recordings and giving you the under-the-hood look at my life as SECA the artist.
Enjoy and stay thankful
Chris
