A few thoughts: "Michelle's Braids, Non Binary Shooter and The Depravity of Straight Man"
Welcome back. The title as silly as it sounds, is not funny at all. I believe that current pop and social culture has lost its way and commonsense with it. For some reason the older generations, like a parent frustrated with a child and decided to let them go there own way; stop talking and giving wisdom to the younger generations. Yes, the younger generations usually don't want to hear anything but they used to sit and listen anyway, before going off on their own. This dear listener, is how this crazy train arrived at this point in history. A two time first lady saying she couldn't wear braids, "straight men" kissing each other and lawyers focused on a killer's pronouns. Get your tickets and let at a short ride...on the crazy train.

Today, we review the documentary Uncle Tom 2, talk about the revelations in the film and some misconceptions we've all believed for many years, discuss Queen Elizabeth II death and "camping while black". "Roe vs Wade" After 49 Years The Decision Returns To The States...Americans React Horribly
**Caution: "N" will be said during this episode. Welcome back to the Crazy Train. No doubt we've all that heard that the 49 year ruling of Roe vs Wade has been overturned and returned back to States. Which if you didn't know, was where it all was in the beginning. However if you listen to most people today, you'd think the sky was falling. Abortion has been around for a few centuries in the United States, it had tight restrictions from the start and along the way became the monster it is in modern times. The biggest problem with this outcome, for the uninformed and general public, is what has happened to us. Americans returning and hating each other. **After recording this show, I found a video of Ireland Baldwin, Alex baldwin's daughter, talking about her abortion and how "I chose me and I would choose me again". This is the problem with "abortion on demand", this is the typical everyday abortion... Let's go, get your tickets and take a ride with me on the Crazy Train. #roevwade #roevswade #abortion

"Down The Rabbit Hole We Go With Beto, Obama, AOC, Elon Musk, Abortion, Twitter and Shootings "
Welcome back to The Crazy Train and happy humpday! if you managed to make it this far... the week is nearly over. In the past month our fickled media outlets have been all over the place. Likewise too many Americans have followed suit. From screaming in the streets allegiance to satan for abortion rights. To hating on a billionaire for buying Twitter, although a billionaire owned it before. Even without the more recent events, It has been a wild news cycle. Get your tickets and take a seat. All aboard! the crazy train in leaving the station.

"Mental Health Month, Healing In The wilderness, 52hikechallenge And YouTube"
Oh, hello. It's a great day to chat about mental health especially since we're coming to the close of mental health awareness month. Did you know that according to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), that in "1946—P.L. 79-487, the National Mental Health Act, authorized the Surgeon General to improve the mental health of U.S. citizens through research into the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders." and Mental Health Awareness Month started in 1949? Neither did we. Today we discuss our journey through anxiety attacks, depression, dealing with loss and grief. And how we found healing in hiking and traveling. Also some encouraging words from the hiking community after reading an article about our journey in the @52Hikechallenge newsletter this month. https://www.52hikechallenge.com/blogs/blog/finisher-feature-t-anthony-bland-finding-healing-from-loss-in-the-wild So... let's talk. #WeHikeToHeal #Findinghealingforlossinthewild #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #52hikechallenge

"From Dave Chappelle To Chris Rock, Will Smith's Slap Proves What Comedians Have Been Saying for Years"
I was sitting down in pain recovery from a 4 mile hike earlier in the day. Jumped IG for a minute to see Chris Rock getting slap by Will. I immediately searched the internet for more information. Some said it was a hoax... But Rock's reaction proved otherwise. This was in absolute display of insanity on Smith's part. His actions claiming it was for his wife's honor "keep my wife's name out your f**king month" he repeated. A woman we all know hasn't honored their marriage or Smith... Get your tickets and take your seat because the crazy train is leaving the station.

"Redefining Halo, Women of The Year, Swim Champ and Erasing Women"
Welcome back to the Crazy Train. This episode I return with an absolute insane week in the news. One of the most troubling things for me is, I've spent the last nearly 6 years raising my daughter as a single parent since my wife died. Countless hours retelling stories of her mother to help her grow from teenager to young adult women. Fighting against pop culture. Reminding her how her mom never said she was a "strong black woman". Never said her "pronouns are.." never raised her fist against " Patriarchy" nor referred to herself as a mythical creature like the unicorn with the hashtag "black girl magic. Now!... After all that, culture is erasing what a woman is. In this podcast I talk about Lia Thomas,(**I may have said Olympics I meant College) and more. You ready for this? Well, your ticket the crazy train is leaving the station.

Hello and welcome back to The Crazy Train 2022! If you thought last year was a doozy, well hold on because this one has already started out crazy. Well, get your tickets hop on train and lets find out. All aboard!

"Kyle Rittenhouse, Nicholas Sandmann And Domestic Terrorism"
Welcome to the crazy train! Nearly a year has gone by and the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse has started and ended. The verdict...? Not guilty. It didn't take long before Americans turned on each other and for the case to be labeled "racist". To one side he's a "hero" and a "patriot", to the other he's a murder. Kyle has also been compared with Sandmann because both are young. Well... I have my take on it too. Get your tickets and hop on the crazy train.

"Thank You For Your Service"
Happy Veterans Day! Today, as we should everyday, we celebrate and thank our service men and women. All of whom have volunteered for military service. My dad, Airmen Bland, who entered the Airforce at 17 is among them. We chatted this week for his birthday, he turned 85 that's when I learned a little more about his choice to enlist. That conversation prompted today's show. As well as the high rate of suicide among veterans.

When did Camping become "car camping" then evolved into "Overlanding" and overlanding, become about who has the most stuff on their trucks? We were on our way back from New Mexico and pulled over for a meal break, rest and bathroom run. Catching up on YouTube channels we've missed, we noticed a running theme in everyone's videos... "What "Overlanding is", the narrow view really bothered Whitebeard. Basically, looking down from their collective noses, anything other than a truck in the middle of nowhere is just camping or a roadtrip. But!!! Isn't Overlanding just camping??! We think so. However, the community doesn't and it's pretty dang divided on its own meaning as well. Our frustrations were a little high that day. Ready to listen in? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us. (**This episode was recorded in the car on the road in Ohio. Lots of background noise.)

New Mexico Or Bust Part 2: "Eastward On Route 66"
Today we pick up where we left off on Tuesday. 13 days of traveling to Las Cruces, New Mexico and camping out there for 5 days, then the long unexpected road trip back to the Bronx. The return trip had us go through different states than going down. And it was like School House Rock as we learned history along old Route 66/Interstate 25. All along the road meeting so many nice people too. Are you ready to hear all about it? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us..

October 20, 2021
Promoted by two live shows and an encounter in a comment section Tuesday night, I (Whitebeard) was forced to examine my own experiences in the outdoor community. I watched a live "Overland" podcast on Facebook and a live "Hiking" podcast on Instagram then read a post from a young woman who said she was ignored within the larger Overland world. But was welcomed by other Jeep owners in other countries and other black people. I don't like labels like POC or being sectioned off. But I couldn't just pass by her feelings of being invisible, like Ralph Ellison wrote about. I posted a Poll on IG and received only one response. I then had to take a good look at my own invisibility...

"What Do You Do When You're Done...? The SEX Talk"
It's Tuesday!!! Hello and welcome back. You will notice we put the "Explicit" label on this episode because our subject today is sex. The label isn't because we're being vulgar in any way it's just for the subject. We were watching an episode of "Switched At Birth" when Toby and Nikki listen to Nikki's mom and had sex before marriage. TK paused the show and asked "What do you do afterwards...?". As awkward as it was we talked about it. Even though that was about a month ago, I thought it was a good subject to let you listen in on maybe even start talking yourself. You ready for this? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us

"The Midnight Flight To Westchester" Great Song Title But Bad Politics As illegal Immigrants Land.
Happy Humpday! Remember that classic Gladys Night song "The To Midnight Flight Westchester"... neither do I, it's a great song title but bad politics as illegal immigrants are flown in and bused across Westchester, NYC and New Jersey under the cover of night. Concerned residents ask questions and a local politician does his own investigation. He wasn't alone. Apparently only local news reported on it. Yeah, we gotta talk about this. Let's go. #immigration https://hudsonvalleypost.com/hundreds-of-undocumented-immigrants-secretly-flown-daily-from-border-to-hudson-valley/

"A Police Encounter"
Happy Tuesday everyone. This week's adventure was not on the trail, it was on the way to Trader Joe's supermarket. An encounter we had with a cop on the way. It was one of those Buford T justice moments...you know, the sheriff from "Smokey And The Bandit". It was a stunning display of two immovable objects(The irresistible force paradox), Whitebeard and the T-1000 yelling at him through our closed windows. We didn't laugh immediately. But when we made that turn!..lol. We'll catch you up on a few things too. Ready to hear all about it? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

The Road To 60: "When Should I Jump Ship 62 0r 67?"
Happy Humpday! Today we pick up kind of where I left off last week. Thinking about getting older and how long does one want to continue in the workforce. There are a few things to consider, age, money and health. So... where are you in your planning? While this is not a deep discussion, it is what I'm thinking about. Let's talk about it.

"Dysthymia, Jesus Didn't Heal Everybody"
No the title isn't click bait. We struggled with the name since mental health is a big and tough subject. As we got into it Whitebeard mentioned the church's lack of knowing how to deal with mental illnesses, thus the title was born. As we focus on mental health this month we wanted to kick it off with a recent diagnosis of dad's depression. Apparently something he's been going through for a while. Though it's not easy to talk about we thought it was important. If you need help with depression or thoughts of harming yourself please call The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (800) 273-8255 for help. #mentalhealth #depression

"Just A Thought: Why Aren't We Being Told To Boost Our Immune System?"
I tried but I had to. The other day I was on IG and saw Biden was pushing for private companies to mandate (aka force) Vax for their employees. Just before I took my 30 day break from social and all media the royals were getting an award for choosing to help the environment by committing to only having two children. Here's a thought, why aren't we being told to boost our immune system? Oh! you know this episode was unplanned and I was hot by ALL the mistakes I made... All aboard! The rant is on and the crazy train has left the station

The Road to 60: "Thud! When Your Plans and Body Betray You"
Happy Humpday! People are always joking around and saying God has a sense of humor or quoting a popular bible verse... "We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps" Proverbs 16:9 (NLT). However none us finds it a laughing matter at the moments. Livelihoods are at stake for some, in my case this week I was to head to the Midwest of Friday, but my plans were derailed. And I just found out a minute ago that packages containing things I needed for the trip will NOT be arriving anytime soon. That was a lot of time and money... let's talk about this

The Road To 60:"Intermittent Fasting, Everything Old Is New Again"
Happy Humpday! It has been awhile so, welcome back to the podcast. I have been away from the mic because of my social media and news month long "fast". It was go to be away, however this year some news slipped in. By the way I've been doing this for 5 years now. Today's episode is all about the positive changes I have seen in my glucose numbers doing something that is very old but has now become the latest "in thing" for healthy focus people. Come on let's get into this.

"The Long Road To Maine…9 Days 3 States"
Happy Tuesday! Boy, oh boy! There were a lot of outtakes with the opening, lol. Listen till the end we added them. Anyway, while we were away from the mic we were also away on a 9 day camping road trip. Spending days in a heavy rain in Vermont, camp among tall beautiful pine in New Hampshire and baked in the sun of Maine. It was rough but we met some great people along the way. Want to hear about it? Come on, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

Walking Dead Universe: "Acheron Pt. 2" S11 E2
Happy Dead Day! This week we dive into our deep seeded hatred toward Maggie. Join us to hear us also talk about Maggie's God complex, Eugene's character growth, Gabriel evolving from a coward into a gun-wielding priest, Stephanie being trans-racial and whether or not the commonwealth can be trusted. The 11 Season of TWD is really pushing our buttons. Also who decided Darryl should do all the grimy work? Lol are you ready? Let's talk ill of the dead!

"The Return of Whitebeard and TK and YouTube Tuesdays!"
Well hello! I know, I know, It's been awhile and the show has gone dark... without a warning too. There's a good reason for that. We have been focusing on "The Whitebeard and TK Experience" our YouTube channel. And our Friday adventure series there, plus Whitebeard has been away from social media and news for a month. He'll be back in September. On today's show we get into some of that and what we've been doing. Guess what?! This episode will be on YouTube! You get to see us! Doesn't that just make you tangle all over? Lol. So if you're ready jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

"The Fast Saga (F9)"... In Space?! Movie Review (and rant)
Well Hellooooooo! It's good to be back. We didn't forget you, hopefully you didn't forget us. So are you ready for fast cars, a bit of drama, high action and some ridiculousness?! We are! Fast and Furious did not disappoint. One of us is known for seeing FF multiple times IN THE THEATER. And a billion times at home. Just like the Star Trek films. Can you guess who? Unfortunately he didn't scream "Han!!!" When one of his favorites showed up. The media robbed fan boy of the glory. But there were of surprise in the joyride to satisfy. Grab your popcorn and coke with two straws and let's get into this.

"Small Axe" Series Review
**This episode was recorded in June but never aired. Amazon's original, "Little Axe" an anthology by Steve McQueen. Each stand alone episode tells the story, some true some fictional, of Caribbean migrants to England. It doesn't say the years but it goes from late 50's, 60's to 80's. There's this one episode, "Lovers Rock" that took me (Whitebeard) way back to the Jamaican house parties I went to in my teens. Man! I could smell the sweat through the screen. Mmm... and aunt Carmen cooking in the kitchen! Anyway, this isn't just a review but something much more. A larger discussion if you will about the African diaspora. hang with me till the. Come on let's get started.

The Road To 60: "To Vac Or Not To Vac This Is My Opinion"
Happy Humpday! "Did you get the shot?" If I get asked that question one more time. The answer is, "it's none of your business!". This is a tough thing to talk about, mostly because whatever your answer is someone won't like it and there are plenty of options to go around. Well... let's talk about my opinion.

The Road To 60: "Accepting The Aging Process"
Happy humpday everyone! I saw a post on Instagram that prompted today's show. A 61 year model posted a lingerie photo, along with words speaking about our imperfections. It made me think... how far we go to stop aging. The length we go to cover up or hide our age. Come on let's talk about it.

"Sachuest Point Wildlife Refuge"
A typical day in NYC, the Bronx, is filled with noise. Airplanes, helicopters, buses, trucks, cars, gunshots, screaming, fights, extremely loud music in different languages blasting from cars and apartments. And of course who can forget the young boys on dirt bikes, holding up traffic riding on the wrong side of the street. It's Tuesday! So let's talk about the escape to the Outdoors. Oh, by the way, we hate summer hiking but this place is well worth the trek. Want to hear about it? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

The Road To 60: "Old Enough To Remember A Skate Key"
Happy Humpday! This past weekend my daughter and I to Paterson Great Falls National Historic Park. We learned a great deal about the legacy of the area's founder, Alexander Hamilton. While there we met a woman who was telling the story of Paterson NJ. She had a skate key around her neck.. and some adjustable skates on the table. You know the one. If you do then you're "a dinosaur" as my daughter said. It's great to see and be around people who remember what you remember. Hmm... or is it? I think so, let's talk about it.

"Alexander Hamilton And S.U.M"
TK passed her written test for her driver's permit! Just before we started recording today, Woo-hoo! It's Tuesday! And this week's adventure went a whole different route. We didn't go hiking this weekend because Whitebeard was still recovery from his knee pain. We spent the week doing pain management and making appointments. Saturday came and we (he was going crazy) needed to flee from the city. Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park was our escape. We've been wanting for 3 weeks. You've seen the "Hamilton" play or most likely watched it on Disney plus. But did know about Alexander's industrial visions? How about The Society for Establishing Useful Manufactures, "S.U.M"? Yeah... we didn't either. It's a beautiful thing to learn something new. We'll tell you all about our road trip across the George Washington bridge, to learn about old GW's partner in crime. So, are you ready? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us...

Walking Dead Universe: "JD" S6 E13
Happy Dead day! After last week's heartbreaking episode and a first for TWD universe, this week's episode offered a bit of hope. For sure, for those still baffled at John's death. For many fans Grace losing her baby so soon after John and being the first time such a thing was done, on mother's day, it was too much. Fear's season 6 episode 13 "JD" was like an oxygen mask falling in an airplane. We get a John Dorie closure in the form of JD Sr. June Dorie's find connects her, Dwight and Sherry... and her to John Sr. Are you ready? Let's talk ill of the dead.

The Road To 60: "The State Of My Mental Health"
Happy Humpday! Today's episode is not what I planned but I thought worth getting into for a moment. My mental health as part of my overall health. I discuss in part my progress in therapy since starting a few months ago. My weekend getaway and why I chose to keep my "session" last Friday, my birthday. A text asking would I be celebrating the "5th anniversary" of my wife death. Perhaps, mental health when your older is a subject worth exploring this month. We'll see. But for now... a text made me switch gears this week. Come let's talk.
May 12, 2021
"The Jersey Shore"
It's Tuesday! Although we did not hike, take a roadtrip or go camping this weekend, it didn't stop it from being an adventure. We escaped to Atlantic City this past weekend for a well deserved vacation and Whitebeard's birthday. But it wouldn't be our life if a bit of drama didn't happen. Are you ready for this? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

Walking Dead Universe: "In Dreams" S6 E12
Happy Dead day! I know we're a day late and there is a good reason for that. But enough about that. Fear's episode this week "In Dreams" was not the best by any stretch. It was a bit boring but the key point, is Morgan's key. This week was all about Grace and her dream and the result was Morgan taking her advice. Are you ready to talk ill of the dead? Let's go

Walking Dead Universe: Fear S6 E11 "Holding"
Happy Dead Day! The amount of crazy in Fear's latest episode! "Holding" season 6 episode 11, was a psychedelic trip into an underground parking garage. A zombie tree of knowledge and we finally meet West's brother Derek, whom he thought was dead. Hmm... maybe he should have stayed that way. Derek had all kinds of crazy in his eyes. No, seriously, he has crazy eyes! I don't know about, but I'm ready to talk ill of the dead.

"Justin Bieber Returns To His Black Roots"
**Warning! The "N-word" will be said many times during this episode** Although Justin has been called all sorts of names for having locs some time ago, he has chosen to do it again. And all of cyberspace is losing it's collective minds over it! Black folks, oops, I mean People Of Color, from all over are attacking him for it. Charging him with "Black Cultural Appropriation. Hmm... but where were they when Jason Momoa had them? What is "Black Culture"...eating chicken and watermelon? According to Rap artist Buddy, it is. "Everybody wanna eat watermelon and fried chicken. But sorry it's a black thing"... TK's not next to me today which is good, because some days I feel like I'm living in some weird sci-fi novel. Get your ticket and take a seat, it's time to ride the crazy train

The Walking Dead Universe: Fear's "Things Left To Do" S6 E9 and "Handle With Care" S6 E10
Happy Dead day! Today we catch up on last week's episode of Fear The Walking Dead, since we didn't have show last week and this week's episode. Fear's season 6 Episode 9, "Things Left To Do" is the one we have been waiting all year for. Ginny put the group through so much and now John is dead because of her sister... or because of her. It's time for some pay back! In "Handle With Care" episode 10, we start to see the fallout from all the damage done this season and from all the years prior, as the group turn on each other. Guns are missing and Strand is blamed for it. Daniel threatened to shot Victor in the face with his own gun that he smuggled in, after setting a trap for the thief. It's high drama and an emotional rollercoaster! Plus, June returns. Are you ready? let's talk ill of the dead.

Special Edition: "Idris Elba Didn't Eat Enough Jerk Chicken"
Luther, the British TV show wasn't black enough it wasn't "authentic"... that's right you read that correctly. Miranda Wayland had the audacity say he didn't eat Caribbean food or have black friends. She was hired as one of or the head of the BBC's "Diversity" division whose sole job is to make programming "more inclusive". Strange since she doesn't believe Luther was authentically black enough. If something is truly inclusive then all is included. Luther may not have been "ghetto" but he clearly was a "black character". Out of everything this week that's been annoying, this one push the right buttons. This was worth riding the crazy train so take your sit and let's go

Tennessee Road Trip Pt. 1: "Backpacking"
"Experience adventure through our eyes" Is how we open our YouTube adventure series, because hiking and outdoor adventure isn't common in the south Bronx. Neither is Backpacking but we did it... on today show we discuss our first time backpacking which we did in Great Smoky Mountain National Park(campsite 18), it was part of a week long road trip. One that took us through 5 states for this big event. Stopping at a halfway point, Shenandoah Valley, Va., to camp for the night. This is part one because we're still in Tennessee. Are you ready for this week's adventure? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

The Road To 60: "Hiking and Adventuring Over 50"

The Road To 60: "Traveling At A Certain Age"
Happy Humpday everyone! You know, I love to travel... mostly by car or train, I fly because I have to. I hate flying but you can't drive to England. However, traveling at a certain age is becoming annoying, because now I have to carry extra bags. One would think that by now there would be less bags... but!!! When bringing medication and vitamins things get complicated. While planning for an upcoming 10 day road trip I discovered this painful reminder of aging...

Walking Dead Universe: "Here's Negan" S10 E22 and "The Door" S6 E7
Happy Dead day! Well, well...well! The writers have managed to piss us off and cause tears to fall. This week's episodes of Fear The Walking Dead and it's second half return, sucked! It sucked big time! We'll tell you all about John and Negan today as we cover TWD's "Here's Negan" season 10 E22 and Fear's season 6 E7 "The Door" Are you ready to talk ill of the dead...? Let's go.

Walking Dead Universe: "Diverged" S10 E21 And "Invincible" S1 E1-3
Happy Dead day! Oh my gosh! We have two things to get into today and they're all things Robert Kirtman. First up Carol and Daryl part ways, we all know it was a long time coming... even with talks of an upcoming spin-off, it doesn't mean they'll be together during that time. just saying. Next up is "Invincible", another comic book turned into a TV show. Warning! This is an adult show, complete with blood, cuss words and a rolling head... oh alright, it just got chopped off. Invincible which is available on Amazon Prime, centers around a teenager hoping to get superpowers and he does, a little late in life but he gets them. He's the son of famed superhero "Omni-man" protector of earth...but there are other heroes too, like "Guardians Of The Globe" who work with the government. Are you ready to talk of the dead...and fight some crime? let's go

"It's The 100th Episode!"
Cue the dramatic theatrical theme the podcast has turned 100! Alright maybe not 100 years old but it's the 100th episode. Can you believe it? We can't, so in today's show we're going through the show's many cold openings, some that made it, some that didn't and some that... well they just held a place until we could think of something to say. Half of these opening where dreamed up by Whitebeard in the middle of the night the others were, let's just say... a few minutes before we started recording. After putting them together someone had the bright idea of putting them into categories... yeah...honestly for some openings we can't remember what show it was from. Lol, sounds just us! Before uploading from laptop we used to store everything on Anchor. So it was a chore to put this together. Anyway, we tried, so if you're ready to hear it jump in the backseat and take a ride with us... down memory lane

Walking Dead Universe: "One More" S10E19, "Coming 2 America" and 3 hours Pretzels"
In today's episode we'll cover the missing Monday Walking Dead Show, in TWD's season 10 episode 19 "One More" we find Father Gabe and Aaron on the hunt for food and supplies, armed with a map from Maggie but it's not long before trouble finds them. It was great to see the boys just hanging out and talking about life and whiskey. Although we can also see Aaron is a bit weary of life as it is at the moment. Also on today's show is this weekend's adventure to Pennsylvania and a review of "Coming 2 America". Yep that's a lot packed into one Tuesday show but then again that's the way we used to do it. It was fun getting back to talking to all of you. lots of giggles this week. So if you're ready to unpack TWD, taste some old world pretzels and review a movie... jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

The Road To 60: "Too Old To Be Stupid"
Happy Humpday! While some of today's show has elements of Tuesday's podcast, it is all about wisdom. Gaining wisdom along the way is part of getting older. However, some people don't get smarter, they don't learn from mistakes and they don't have knowledge to pass down. That my friends is a shame. Thinking about like this... your in a car driving across the country. You've made the trip numerous times in 40, 50, 60+ years of your life. Have you learned anything? Shortcuts? Better routes? Small towns are awesome? Farmers are intelligent? If not, then it has been a wasted trip and a waste of life... So many crazy things are going in the world and far too many older people are silent. Let's about that for the next few minutes

"Back On The Trail, A Brief History Of Blacks In The Outdoors And Representation"
It's a beautiful sunny day in NYC... happy Tuesday! Today we dive into a subject that is extremely exhausting to talk about. We skipped the whole "black history month" thing for a reason. So many have done it and most likely received lots of air play for it. But we don't like doing things for the sake of doing it. No doubt today's title will attract people but we hope you hear the heart. We finally got back to hiking this weekend and if you're ready to hear about it and everything else, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

What He Must Be: "He Must Be Committed To Children" "He Must Practice The Four P's" Ch. 7 & 8
Happy Thursday and welcome to this week's episode of The Book Nook. As we head towards the end of Voddie Baucham's, "What He Must Be: If He Wants Marry My Daughter" we get more details on his opening statements in the book. Chapter 7 examines the importance of a spouse's willingness to want and care for children. While chapter 8's "Four P's" lays the practical ground work of what that kind of husband looks like. Yeah... when you start to think in terms of generational legacy, this becomes hard hear. We as husbands and fathers often fall short of the mark and this is why these are great lessons to learn. Come on let's get this...

The Road To 60: "Dealing With Death"
Happy humpday! Today we take on a reality that being a certain you can't escape from. This was not the plan for today but one of my aunts died recently and yesterday was her funeral. It was an odd thing as it was viewed by many of us via Zoom. Because of all of this I changed today's show... at 57 I'm getting older and so are those older than me and we know what's next. At 18, it seems everyone is dating, getting jobs or going off to college. At 20-25 everyone you know is having a baby, that's life, but as you move through life those same "group" events happen but they change shape. So, let's talk a little bit about that, nothing too deep but I think we'll get to the point...

"Grounded! No Adventures For Us"
It's another Tuesday and as we cruise into this week, it is clear one of us has no clue what day it is. It has been a long month at home and stuck on this block and in this city. We have been grounded because of a vehicle registration issues. Whose fault is it?... Hmm... it'll all be clear soon. TK has been reading the driver's manual, lots of snow storms has buried The Puddle Jumper beneath a mountain of it and ice. Wild Uganda has been a comfort in our hour need during this period of outdoor withdrawal. Yeah... a long month! Come on, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us... and we'll tell you all about it.

Walking Dead Universe: "Home Sweet Home" S10 E17
Happy Dead Day! It's good to be back folks. We have a lot of fun doing these Monday shows. It's been so long couldn't remember how to start, Whitebeard had go back and listen to past episodes. Lol. But here are... Maggie's back and she's got a new attitude. Riding with her is ponytail man and the mute guy behind the mask. Plus! Negan is still alive! What will she do...? Who will be taking over leadership of the group? Where is everyone else? They got scattered during the Whisperer showdown. Are you ready to talk ill of the dead...?

What He must: "He Must Be Prepared to Lead" "He lead like Christ" Ch. 5 & 6
Happy Thursday! And welcome to another episode of The Book Nook. Today we continue with Voodie Baugham's, "What He Must Be: If He Wants To Marry My Daughter". We got the book's image from the internet, we DO NOT own the rights to the image nor claim to. We just wanted you to see to cover. In Chapters 5 and 6 we see the type of leader/husband our daughters should be searching for in a Christian man. One who doesn't think he is lord of the castle, but one who understands the weight of loving his wife and protecting her heart as well. These two chapters were like eating two 4 course meals. Listen in as we discuss our take-aways from chapters 5 and 6.

Road To 60: "Streams of Glory and Spelunking"
In today's episode we explore Fly Fishing and Cave exploring! And... if you believe that I have a planet to sell you, lol. Nope, this is the road to 60, so the only cave we'll be exploring is the trap door to the innards. Again, no one prepared me for this experience! But don't you worry I'm here for you... to help you through it. Plus Elizabeth is with us today, this ought to be interesting. So, if you're ready; grab some blue gloves, warm gel and hold on to the table...
February 17, 2021
It's been a while since we've hiked or had time outside. We're grounded for a bit. More on that another time. Because of that we've had to experience the outdoors from our living. It sucks we know. One of shows we're watching during this time is "Wild Russia" on Disney+. The animal kingdom is savage! Beautiful but savage, just like us humans. In today's episode we get into the beastly behaviors of humans and animals. Recounting a road rage ordeal on our way home from the supermarket and the wildlife in Russia. Are you ready? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us...

What He Must Be: "The Role of a Father" "He Must Be A Christian" Ch. 3 & 4
Happy Thursday folks! Today we dive into chapters 3 and 4 of Voddie Baucham's What He Must Be: If He Wants To Married My Daughter. Chapter 3 "The Role Of A father", gets into the dad's importance in helping daughters with not only choosing, but in providing and protecting them throughout life. Chapter 4, "He Must Be A Christian" is probably the most important chapter, especially when you're talking about children who claim to be Christians themselves. Far too often we go about choosing our spouses "like we choose houses"..."driving around until we see something that looks good to us", that is a very sad but true commentary on life today. again, this is a dense book which is why we're taking our time. The latter chapters are going to be hard to swallow as we see how we measure up to the "standard". If chapters 1-3 lay the foundation for the book's subject, chapters 4 and on, will surely be the house. Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us... for this week's Book Nook.

The Road to 60: "Ain't That A Blip"
Happy Humpday! Lol, "Ain't that a blip!" is something I use to hear mother and people her age say when I was little and I thought it was perfect for this weeks title. Because getting older can be a trip! For sure, it's strange at times. Some things are funny like hair growing on your ears, others like adult diapers, not so much. Today we talk about some of those things, including some personal stuff. Are you ready for this? Then get your diapers, teeth and liniment, jump in the backseat and take ride with us...

"Lost On A Familiar Road" Hike 50/52
There is nothing more annoying than being lost. well... maybe, not being in control, but being lost is not having control...right? Anyway, it's Tuesday so let's talk outdoor adventures. Sometimes the adventure is going off track and then the quest of finding your way back. But what if you get lost on a trail you already know? It's beyond frustrating! Yet, we learned a lesson along the way. Come, listen in on the day we had and the lesson learned on hike 50 of our @52hikechallenge. If you're ready, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

The Book Nook: "What He Must Be" by Voddie Baucham ch 1 & 2
It's Thursday! As you can see in this first week of season two, we're doing things a bit different. On today's show, as we bring The Book Nook back as a weekly show, we'll be reviewing Voddie Baucham's "What He Must Be: If He Wants To Marry My Daughter". Mr. Baucham is currently the Dean of Seminary at African Christian University, in Zambia. He has written several books on faith, leadership, Christian apologetics and more. He has a new one coming out in April "Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe". My wife and I have read a couple of his books and gave this one to all the kids to read years ago, now that Elizabeth is approaching 18 it's her turn. But this time we'll be sharing the experience with you as well. In this book Voddie unfolds standards we should hold to when considering marriage and preparing our sons and daughters. Things we all should be looking for. Today we're reviewing chapters one and two, "Multigenerational Vision" and "The Ministry of Marriage" We'll be going over two chapters per week, so join us right here each Thursday. If you're ready, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us...

"Road To 60"
Happy Hump Day! The week is nearly over... we've reached the mid point and the weekend is looking closer and sweeter each moment the clock tics. For some of us this is an example of mid life and retirement, however real life is a bit different than work life. Today we start a new series "Road To 60", in season two we wanted to explore new things and exploring life as we get older seemed like an interesting topic. The hope is we will laugh, cry and learn things together. T. Anthony, kicks off the series in this episode, not that we believe 60 is the end of the road for him, it's just the next big number for him to celebrate. He discusses how things changed for him over the years and more. We hope to have others on in the future. For now... jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

"Three Generations Of Hikers"
Happy New Year! and Welcome to season two everyone! It's been a long time and we're ready to talk to you again. Boy oh boy, had to knock the dust off and it was a little weird after being off for so long. But here we are 2021 and ready to go. Are you? Today we get into our most recent adventure, hike 49 of our @52HikeChallenge. But this time we took a 7 year old with us on his first real hike, three generations hiking together in very different stages of life... father 57, daughter 17 and grandson 7. At the end of the hike we interviewed him, so stay tuned for that raw recording in the car (#ThePuddleJumper). Whitebeard has always called him Mr. Catz since he was little... but after today, he's earned the trail name "Energizer Bunny"! We're unsure how he kept going after hiking 2+ steep miles up to the summit in 20 mph winds. Yep, you read that right, it was 1,470+ ft. with an elevation gain of 420ft. We have to say we were impressed, blessed and proud of such an achievement. we're seriously thinking of taking him out with us more in the future. If you're ready, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us... Psst... new opening theme too!

T. Anthony Special Edition: "Storm The Capitol, It's a revolution!"
I was made aware of the capitol riot late yesterday. I haven't watch the news in a while. No I don't live under a rock but I do try to just live life. Less news more reading, helps with that. The people were called "Trump supporters" and some called themselves "Patriots". A riot and breaking into the Capitol building nullifies all of that. Here's my reaction, raw and going on what little information I have. I love my country...

"Kamala Harris Takes The Vaccine... The Last Show and Roadtrip of 2020"
Twenty Twenty, the year of the great quarantine, political craziness, media manipulation, Political pandering... and some great and trying moments. There are a few things to review about this year, but a lot rejoice and remember. Today, is the last show... will it be the last of all time or just for the year? Plus we took a day trip up Route 97 in NY this past weekend. If you're ready to hear about all this, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

It's Tuesday! And we're here for you! I promise you there was a thought and plan for this episode. Not sure where the train left the track... but it did quickly. Lol. Actually, isn't this how our podcast started out? The show started with hello, went into "Mad About You" and landed somewhere in space. Anyway, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

#ALIVE ... #IMUSTSURVIVE
Happy "Dead" Monday! Since TWD and it's universe is on a break. We decided to check out what else is out there in the Zombie world. This week, it's a Korean film, "#ALIVE". Korean zombies are hilarious! Come on, let's talk ill of dead.

"Battlefield: Fighting Depression"
It has been widely known and said that the Mind is a battlefield. Our rise and fall happens in our heads long before it is manifested in "real life". About two weeks I started searching for a therapist. Last week was our first televisit. The first thing I noticed, was I didn't stutter in a place I normally would under stress... This is not a subject or part of my life I(Whitebeard)want to talk about. But maybe someone needs to hear it.

"A Weekend Adventure That Went Bust, Podcast Update and A Tragedy In The Outdoor World"

"A Little Bit of Christmas Wisdom..."
Happy humpday! This is a little ahead of schedule but I thought it was worth it. As soon as Thanksgiving ended, Christmas preparations began. For many it will be a hard time, for others a celebration in rebellion against governmental orders. And the rest of us have forgotten why we even celebrate... hopefully today, we can focus on the Joy. Maybe, just maybe, that will brighten our midweek and prepare us for the coming weeks.
December 09, 2020
It's been a crazy "news" week! Happy Friday! Whitebeard has been quiet on current events, but his head nearly exploded this week and he couldn't hold his tongue. So... jump on today's crazy train rant, he covers Ellen/Elliott Page, the non famous Cyrus sibling, former president's vaccine film and AOC's $58 sweat shirt. All aboard!!!
December 04, 2020
Happy Humpday! A great big joy killer and peace taker is a broken boundary line. A fench with hole is pointless, especially if you want to protect your chickens and vegetables. And so it is with our lives when someone or thing crossing a line that robs us of our peace. I don't know about you but I want to protect that small bit of sanctuary. That's what I'm focusing on today.

Home Schooling Chronicle: "Home Economics, benefits and pitfalls of a teenage daughter's baking"
In this "bouns" episode you'll hear Whitebeard mention it's Wednesday. That's because this was originally last Tuesday's show, which was going to air late. We never got back to the second half, due to school work, errands and Thanksgiving the next day. The whole week was a wash! Anyway, it's all done. Today is a lighthearted look at TK's home economics class... and how much extra pounds it's costing Whitebeard and we down mean British money. Ready? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

"Not One But Two Bears On The Trail"
Oh my gosh, this weekend was awesome! It's been a while since Hike 47 of our 52 Hike Challenge. In fact we should be on 50 this coming weekend. But life happens. Sometimes good and many times bad. I (Whitebeard) truly didn't want to go anywhere. And an incident that occurred during the "Holiday" was the cause. Everything went down hill from there. However dragging myself out of bed and to the trail was the best medicine. As always TK and I thrive in the outdoors. She didn't even want to leave the Puddle Jumper once we got home. And the absolute best part was.... we saw two black bears!! We've seen lots of animals on our hikes, but this one, hike 48 had the best ones yet. Want to hear about it? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

Walking Dead Universe: "The Deepest Cut" and "In This Life"
Happy Walking Dead Monday! This week there's no Fear, as they are on a mid-season break. But we have the last two episodes of World Beyond season one and you know Whitebeard is happy. In episode 9, Elton loses grip on reality and episode 10, Huck's betrayal is deeper than we thought. And Whitebeard was right about Hope. So, are you ready to talk ill of the dead? let's go.

"Trees Along The River"
Good morning and Happy Humpday! In the age of instant, 24/7 and too much information, it's incredibly hard to get good information or even good advice. Our minds have to sift through all that comes into it. When seeking help from others we need to be careful... because unfortunately they may be getting their information from the same source. let's figure out what we might do better so that we might have better outcomes.

Walking Dead Universe: "The Sky Is A Graveyard" and "Damage From The Inside"
Happy Walking Dead Monday! Today we cover Fear's season 6 episode 7 and World Beyond's season 1 episode 8. And!!! For the first time, Whitebeard confessed he liked a WB episode. Though Iris remains to be a thorn in his side. Alicia returns... can we really trust Srand?... and killer Morgan saves the day. It's time to talk ill of the dead.

"Urban Cowboy": Reliving the magic of a classic film with Generation Z"
Happy Friday! This week's big feature is "Urban Cowboy", you can catch on Amazon. Two generations many decades and "cultural norms" apart, watching a "classic" and "iconic" film can be problematic. For instance, they are "pre" and "post" political correctness. What was funny once is now considered taboo. I'll say this, this was fun watching TK,'s reaction and a pleasure for me to see a young Debra Winger(massive crush) and John Travolta again. Also in this episode, update/review on series we last mentioned and a new one we started, "Queen Sugar". Go get your popcorn and coke with two straws and let's get into this.

"Is Cannabis The Next Oil Industry?"
This Thursday a quick update on things mentioned last week. And a look at the Marijuana industry in Pueblo Colorado. Is it a good business to invest in when weighing the cost and reward ratio. I found this article about this town, thought it was interesting as well as pondered the idea for myself.

"Lando Running Wild"
Happy Humpday! "The Epic Family Roadtrip" is a YouTube channel we like to watch. It's about a family of five... or six, now that they have Lando. And they Overland travel, camp and enjoy adventures along the way. It's funny, Lando gives us so much joy to watch. He runs all over the place, sometimes he actually frolics like the deer. He seems to be born for the wild... and to be free. Like us, we weren't meant to be chained to a desk forever. Today how about we take some time to be a bit like Lando the Adventure Dog.

"Go Take A $#@! Hike!"
It's November 17th! National Hiking Day also known as National Take A Hike Day. Today we discuss some of our favorite places to hike, some of our most difficult hiking terrains and why as crazy as it seems, we'd go back to some of them. Although we didn't get a chance to go out for hike today we encourage you to go... if not today then this weekend. We're ready, are you? Then jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

Walking Dead Universe "Jasper's leg"
Happy Walking Dead Monday! This week's Walking Dead episodes were pretty sleepy. Nowtheless, we have Fear's "Bury Her Next To Jasper's Leg" and World Beyond's "Truth Or Dare". Will John and June...(I not telling)? Will Captain Hook be Virginia's new call sign? We'll see... in the meantime, let's talk ill of the dead.
November 16, 2020
"The Trojan Horse As A Political Strategy"
"The election is over!", they say. But is it? Actually, no, it is now in the hands of the courts. And contesting a vote or election isn't anything new, though many will have you believe it is. It's this belief that has Americans at each other throats... right where the media and politicians want us. But there is more behind this process as a puppet and puppeteer. Like that big, supposed, empty wooden horse. Unfortunately, many of us aren't paying attention. (**at 09:08 I say defunct. I meant, debunked**)

"Even Though..." Hold On To Hope
Happy Humpday! It's a gloomy morning in NYC today. It's enough to make a blue mood even worse. So many of us are in that head space right now. Where we just want to give up. So many loves ones have passed on and the holiday season seems empty. Plus the past 11 months haven't help. But instead of thinking of that today, let's try to focus on Hope. And the weekend that's coming... Habakkuk 3:16-18 is a good place to start.
November 11, 2020
"The Return of The 3rd Stage, Starting Over and Cooking Babies"
Yep... it's a weird one today. Well, not really, but we did pretty much just turned on the mic and talked. Whitebeard has been dealing with a setback in his grieving. We are kind of narrowing down living options, it's been a long 4 year process. And cooking babies...? You'll just have to listen to figure that one out. So, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

Walking Dead Universe: "Honey Shadow Puppets"
Welcome to the Dead show. Monday's back so it's time for some Walking Dead. Today's episode covers, Fear's "Honey" and World Beyond's "Shadow Puppets". Whitebeard said he'd give World Beyond one more chance to Wow him, we'll see if he changed his opinion of the show. Dwight and Sherry are together and have plans to stop Virginia. And the masked people, kinda reminds us of some people on TWD. Are you ready to talk ill of the dead? Let's go. Psst... opening outtakes too.

"Killing Eve", "Star Trek: Discovery Season 3" and "Country Ever After" Review Pt. 1
Happy Friday! Time for another Coke and Two Straws Review. We think we have some binge worthy TV shows for you this weekend. Elizabeth has been trying to get me to watch Killing Eve for a while and I finally did. T. Anthony has been talking about Discovery's 3rd season like every episode, so we finally get into that. It's not exactly bingeable(yes we create new words here) because CBS All Access releases single episodes on Thursdays, but still worth the mention. And lastly, Country Ever After, a more family friendly show. Go get your popcorn and coke with two straws and let's get into this.

"In Other News A Jeep Rolls Off A Cliff And Hikers Lose Their Lives"
The election continues, as well as anger. Also tragedy hits the outdoor community. There's a lot today. If you're ready, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

"Stay The Course"
Happy Humpday! Continuing on a path that no other is on, is frightful. Having goals, setting out on them can sometimes be lonely. In the quiet hour we ask ourselves... Do I go on? Or do I stop?
November 04, 2020
"Something Is Afoot At The Lazy K"
"It's not an adventure if everything goes according to plan"... they say. Michael from Overland Bound says "Adventure is necessary". Hmm... maybe not at freezing temperatures. We say... be prepared for anything or else! This weekend's adventure was surely adventurous as we had to make it through two nights of icy cold and failing portable heat. Yep! We'll tell you all about it. Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.
November 03, 2020
Walking Dead Universe: "The Key" and "Madman Across The Water"
Welcome to the Monday Dead show! This week it was the John show on Fear. And Elton show on World Beyond. We watched it at 5am Saturday morning. Not because we are hard-core fans, but because it was too cold to sleep. And one of us couldn't stay awake. Are you ready to talk ill of the dead? Let's go...
November 02, 2020
"Mulan", "Love and Monsters" and "Train To Busan" Review.
Happy Friday! It is time for you to get that popcorn, a coke and two straws. We've got a mix bag of movies and fun this week for you. We'll travel from America to China then to Korea for some Zombies.
October 30, 2020
"Overseers, World View and Where To Now"
Today, we have a quick update on Whitebeard's eye, TK's opinion in her own words. And an update on a comment about "overseers" , made last week. Plus, how our world views shape our lives, including our political ideologies. Are you ready for this? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

"A Box Of 64"
Happy Humpday! We're almost there... it's just around the bend. The weekend! And what will you do with the weekend? What will you do for fun? What will you do today? As adults we often find it difficult to play or to have "fun". Adulthood has a way of erasing our capacity to enjoy simple pleasures. Have you ever watched a child play with a box? Yet we buy them expensive toys and they grow bored with it. We grow up and do the same thing. Today, how about we do something different...
October 28, 2020
"Story Time Hike"
Right out the gate... Hike 47 of our 52hikechallenge was very different. And we loved it! We went across the bridge to Tenafly Nature Center, in Tenafly, NJ. It's a beautiful place and an easy 4 mile hike. We're a bit goofy today, maybe it was coffee with breakfast just before recording. I don't know but today's episode is about this weekend's hike and the unique twist the Tenafly center added for families on the trail. If you're ready, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.
October 27, 2020
Walking Dead Universe: "Alaska" and "The Wrong End of a Telescope"
It's Monday and we got all kinds of dead on our brains. This weekend on YouTube TWD asked the question of who would win the fight between Daryl and Morgan. We'll give our answers, plus we have this week's episodes of Fear "Alaska" and World Beyond "The Wrong End of a Telescope" to discuss. And! It's a "Sherry And Dwight a Love Story " That's right, Sherry's back! Are you ready to talk ill of the dead? Let's go...

Blumhouse's "The Lie", "Evil Eye", and "Nocturne" plus! "Weekend At Bernie's"
It's Saturday! A great day to watch movies and this has been a great week of movie watching. And it all started with Bernie and a whole lot of laughs. Then off to some twist and turns in Blumhouse's playlist of thrillers. Go get your popcorn and coke with two straws kids and lets get into this.

"The idiot sons of Cuomo, 50 cents worth of Ice Cube and voting on abortion"
It's Thursday! While preparing for this episode, every social media and news outlet exploded with the events surrounding Ice Cube and 50 Cent. Then we were sent a video posted by Holy Post(video podcast), in it the host talks about the issue with voting for or against abortion. The host points to a video from Skye Jethani. We were asked about our opinion on it. So, in this extremely exhausting episode Whitebeard takes on some recent events. TK wasn't here today, perhaps next time she'll tell you in her own. But for now, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us. All aboard for crazy train.
October 22, 2020
"United We Stand"
Happy humpday! As you start your day mid week, here's a quick thought. The political climate seems to be dividing us as a nation. We've forgotten that "left-wing" and "right-wing" belong to the same eagle. I encourage you to remember...
October 21, 2020
This episode swiftly turned from what we originally planned. A month ago Whitebeard had a problem with his eyes, so we finally got him to a doctor yesterday. With an eye pressure of 21 he's on the border for glaucoma. A number of test were taken and another issue was uncovered. Today we discuss that a bit as well as outdoor adventuring with health issues, like diabetes. Something we'll probably spend a whole episode on in the future. It would be nice to interview other people in the outdoor world with health issues. For now... jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

"The Past Is Dead..."
No truer words have been spoken about Fear The Walking Dead. In this week's dead show we cover "Welcome to the club", Fear's 2nd episode of season 6 and "The Tyger and the Lamb" the 3rd episode of World Beyond. We have a feeling that season 6 is going to be awesome! At least one of us does. Elizabeth really likes World Beyond while T. Anthony continues to struggle liking the show. Hmm.... I'm the one typing today, I have no clue why I'm writing in 3rd person. Anyway, let's go talk ill of the dead.
October 19, 2020
"Becky" and "Black Box" Review
Happy Friday! You know what time is... time for a coke and two straws review. This week in the "spirit"(no pun intended) of October, we have two thrillers for you to check out this weekend. "Becky", more of a low budget slasher flick and Blumhouse's "Black Box" which is a Psychological thriller. And wow! We had fun with these. Go get your popcorn, coke with two straws and let's get into this.
October 16, 2020
Happy Thursday! The week is almost over and the weekend just around the corner, with a few days for most of us, to have some peace and quiet time. Time to rest from the work week, office politics and chatter. We went on a weekend getaway last weekend as you know. While out, shopping and recording I (T. Anthony) kept seeing YouTube alerts about "World Mental health day". I thought, how fitting, because that's exactly the reason for leaving the city. We needed a place that was quiet, quiet enough to think. With homeschooling, job searching , researching for a new place to live and add to that the upcoming holidays. It's a recipe for mental and physical exhaustion and or depression. I have been there.. I've spent time becoming unglued as I call it. A whole year of my life put on hold, gone, to due severe panic attacks. It was not pretty and these days I work hard not to let that happen again. Today, I get into a bit of that time and some of what I do now to stay healthy. Get comfortable and let's chat a bit.
October 15, 2020
It's Wednesday. Happy humpday! the day that reminds us we're halfway in but we're also halfway done. Here's a little midweek wisdom to get your day started. Planning a hike or trip is a good thing, you pick a destination and what you'll do when you get there. But sometimes, going is just as good.
October 14, 2020
"The Catfish Fire Tower"
This weekend's adventure actually took place during our long awaited vacation. A weekend getaway. Our road trip to and vacation in Tennessee got canceled earlier this year and we were afraid this trip might be as well. Thank God it wasn't. In today's episode we share with you our trip to Shawnee Pennsylvania this pass weekend and our 46th hike of our 52 hike challenge. Plus a honk for Trump, recording episodes on the road and it all ended with a bottle of 2014 late bottled vintage, Taylor Fladgate. Ready? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.
October 13, 2020
Arguably the greatest line of the entire episode. What am I talking about? The cold opening to this episode on the dead. That's right, the season 6 premiere of Fear The Walking Dead and the second episode of The World Beyond. Happy walking dead day! Okay, okay, it's not the actual day today but you get the point. What do we have for you this week? Red eyed Morgan and Wishy-washy Iris. Come on let's talk ill of the dead.
October 13, 2020
"Talking ill About The Dead"
It's been a long time coming! My wife tried to get me into this but sadly I didn't check it out until about a year after her death. What am I talking about? The Walking Dead! Elizabeth and I binged all 8 seasons one summer in preparing for the 9th. Admittedly, the show starts out slow and it is a drama, not to be confused with Z Nation which is not. So, after a long wait for season's 10 finale "A Certain Doom"... we were ecstatic to see what would happen to Beta, and to see World Beyond. In this episode we talk all things dead... and launch a dedicated show on The Walking Dead" universe. Every Monday! Are ready for some dead stuff

"Enola Holmes" and "Vampires vs The Bronx" A Coke and Two Straws Review
Happy Friday!... or Saturday lol, we're a bit late. A week and a day, but as promised we're giving you two movies this week. In this episode we are reviewing "Enola Holmes" and "Vampires vs The Bronx". While both movies had things we both didn't like there were also a lot of great qualities in them, so come with us, get your popcorn and a coke and two straws and enjoy the show!

"To The Hike Mobile!"
Hello! Today's episode is all about our recent weekend adventure and testing out our brand new, Nathan Sports packs. Lighter is definitely better. We missed the outdoors, the smell of the trees, the sounds of the animals and the wind blowing the leaves over the top of the trees. And! Oh my gosh, we added the outtakes of the cold opening. Anyway, come join us and hopefully you'll also be inspired to get outdoors. Ready? Get in the backseat and take a ride with us.

"The Problem With Multiple Personalities"
Navigating the world and being ourselves is difficult. For the most part we don't know who we are or even why we act and think the way we do. Is it our upbringing, our life experiences and our choices, is it mental illness or something else? Today we discuss the results of a few popular Personality Test we're recently taken, The Enneagram and The Myers - Briggs 16 Personalities. The discoveries weren't too surprising it's just odd seeing it on paper and saying it out loud. We also learned the negative aspects of our personalities if left unchecked. No matter what these tests say about any of us it's never the finally answer, for us, we know that we are created new in Christ... "New creations" but it is a bit of fun and it is a tool. Come, jump in the back seat and take a ride with us and see how we interact with the world around.

"Cuties" A Coke And Two Straws Review
Whoa! After much debate we took the plunge. Happy Friday! This week against all that screamed from our insides, we watched "Cuties" or as they say in French,"Mignonnes". Not sure if all the people talking bad about this Netflix film has actually watched it. But we did, firstly, you have to read subtitles. See, no one told you. You can thank us later. We are both familiar with foreign cinema/films. So, we're used to "foreign" storytelling. It was uncomfortable but we stuck with it. We'll tell you the good and bad. Go get your popcorn, coke with two straws and let's get into this.

"Why We Chose Home Education" Pt. 2
Here it is part two of Tuesday's show. In this episode we continue our discussion on homeschooling, our choice and Elizabeth's trials with the public education. Metal detectors should always be a "give away", unfortunately far too often we ignore the red flags. Are you ready for part two? Jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.
September 24, 2020
"Why We Chose Home Education" Pt. 1
It is good to be back! This week we discuss the reasoning behind home education aka homeschooling for us. We spent most of August recording shows for September, giving us a chance to focus on the coming school year. So, this is the first episode back and it went a little long, so we decided to make it two parts. The second part will be out this coming Thursday. So, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

"Get Duked!" A Coke and two straws review.
Happy Friday. This week we swan drive into the Scottish comedy "Get Duked!". This was the weirdest 87 minutes of our lives... at least recently. Think of all the classic American 80's stoner movies, yep. Go get your popcorn, coke with two straws and let's get into this.

Family Affair Pt. 2 "Photography, Pilot Joan, Pandemic and Fatherhood"
Today, on Part two of "Family Affair" We talk to the oldest, the first born son. And we get an exclusive, the origin story of Pilot Joan, a song from his "I Walk Alone" album. We talk photography and more. Another great hour. You'll also get to hear in the very beginning, the confusion of planning a whole month of shows in advance, lol. As always, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

"Bill and Ted Face The Music" A Coke and Two Straws Review
Happy Friday! This week it's Bill and Ted! And a lot of fun. These two fools are still saying "Dude!". Before watching the latest movie, Elizabeth had to learn all about them, so we had a marathon. Would believe she even liked the "Bogus Journey"? Go grab some popcorn, a coke, two straws and let's get into this.
September 11, 2020
The Book Nook: "The Roommate" by Dervla Mc Tiernan
This time on Book Nook, Elizabeth takes a turn at hosting the show. She'll be discussing an Audio Book by Dervla McTiernan. It's a murder mystery. I love psychological dramas and murder mysteries. But it's not just a mystery, the backdrop is Ireland. So, get comfy and listen in...

The Special Edition: "Camping Is Too Expensive For Black People"
This month's Special is quite troubling and I must admit annoying. I came across this article a while back but saved it for today. Although we're coming to the close of the regular camping season. There are some that will be winter camping. This subject bugs me because it implies that, camping is too expensive for black people. I am tired of the constant division over ethnicity. So here we go, get your ticket for the crazy train it's leaving the station, now.

"Radioactive" A Coke And Two Straws Review
Happy Friday! Welcome to the first Coke and two straws review. About 10 years ago T. Anthony had a movie review blog with that title so we decided to keep the name. This week we're reviewing an Amazon original, "Radioactive". It's about the life of Nobel Prize winning physicist and chemist Marie Curie. And her husband, French physicist Pierre Curie. Together they discovered Radium. Which is used today to help fight cancer. So, go get some popcorn and let's get into this incredible love story of two geniuses.

Family Affair Pt. 1: "Motherhood, Middle Child, Back to School, Christianity and Essential Worker"
This week's episode is a live interview via phone call with Imani. A mother, Christian, wife, daughter, essential worker, home owner and much more. We discuss daily life and work amid this 2020 pandemic. How it all affects, if any, her faith, her personally and family life. It was get to have an uninterrupted hour to talk about life. Though we all know each other it's rare to talk like this. So grab a drink, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

"The Three Pigs": lessons we learn from children's books Pt. 2
In part two of Lessons we learn from children's books, we take on The Three Little Pigs. I have to to say we had more fun playing around with this story. Although there are some serious take aways from the Pigs mishaps with the Wolf. One thing for sure is, it's better to over prepared than under prepared. So, come on, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.
August 25, 2020
"Stone Soup": lessons we learn from children's books Pt. 1
In this week's episode we take another look at one of the family's favorite children's stories, Stone Soup. We discover something a little different. Can Stone Soup be a lesson in Socialism? Have we secretly taught this to our children all these years? Let's find out, climb aboard this week's crazy train and see if our trains, have left the station.
August 18, 2020
The Book Nook:"The Tomorrow Girls" by Eva Gray and "Discrimination and Disparities" by Thomas Sowell
This week's episode we take it easy with a discussion about books. I challenged Elizabeth with this week's theme. She said a book club thing. Sounds good! Especially after the "heavy" Special Edition. It was for a little fun. So, we're talking about what we're currently reading. I think "The Book Nook" should be a monthly thing. Let us know what you think. Until then, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.
August 11, 2020
The Special Edition: "Tik Tok, Uncle Joe And Conspiracy Theories"
This month's rant, is well... just that! A trip down the rabbit hole of news and crazy current events. I must admit I'm glad this is a once a month(thus far) thing. The news changes so quickly in 24-48 hours or at least, what's the hot topic. We began with Tik Tok and by the time of recording Joe Biden had become big news. Yep! We just let the "tape" roll. Folks I hope you enjoy it. But I couldn't do this type of show as a daily podcast. Put on your seatbelts and ride this crazy train.

Vampire Diaries and Biblical Truths: "Grafting and Sire Lines" Romans 11
This week we continue with and finish the Vampire Dairies and Romans connection. Last week we discussed that while watching the TV show on a Netflix binge, we discovered what we'd recently read in the book of Romans was displayed like an object lesson in front of us. Two things immediately popped out and the result were these two episodes. Also an update on our most recent hike. If we were driving back from a hike or roadtrip which is when most of these talks happen, you would be with us. So, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us. #whitebeardandtheKid

Vampire Diaries and Biblical Truths: "Slaves To Blood and Sin" Romans 7
This week we are off the rails! We have been bingeing Vampire Dairies while simultaneously reading through the book of Romans. Yes sir, you heard that right. The result is while watching the TV show, we were also able to see biblical truth play out in front of us. Crazy right? Hmm... not really. So, put on your judgment cap, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us. #whitebeardandTK
July 28, 2020
This week's episode is the ramblings of two people with nothing else to do. Our hike was postponed, I failed to come up with a theme for the show and when I asked the teenager... well, she had nothing either. So what you get is us discussing some new projects we're working on. And... some other things too. Hey, after our Special Edition, it was pretty cool taking a break from current events. Anyway, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

The Special Edition: "Black Lives, Uncle Tom, Pilgrims Progress, the Radical Left & Turkish babies"
Oh, it's been a long month! And we've got a lot to cover. This episode fueled by jelly beans and mandarin oranges, we discuss some of the latest news and current happenings. Just before recording this there was a call to boycott Goya food's company and a Will and Jada Smith sex scandal. That tells you how fast things change from one day to the next. Hold on to your hats! Come on, jump in the backseat and take a ride with us.

"New Jersey Jungle Heat"
This week's adventure took place at Mount Hope Historical Park. Also known as Richard Mine. And it was hotter than a camel's fart! Not just hot but tropical heat. We also saw a deer. But first we couldn't escape a few obstacles before enjoying the day out in the wilderness. So jump in the backseat and take a ride with us... we'll tell you all about it.

Generation X and Z: thoughts on Politics and Culture
This week we take a break from our adventures on the road and trail. Turning the microphone on to conversations we have while hiking, driving and camping. Many times we have paused what we're watching and just talk. Making a one hour show or 2 hour movie far longer than the director intended. Come long for a ride and a glimpse into the backseat of our car.
