TAKE THE CAKE - EPISODE 2 - SODA BREAD
In Episode 1 I explore the idea of what a National cake of Ireland could be while in conversation with the artist Padraig Spillane. In Episode 2, convinced that the National cake of Ireland will most likely have seaweed in it, after speaking to the food historian and author Regina Sexton, I find out how wrong I am.

TAKE THE CAKE - EPISODE 1 - The Irish Prelude
TAKE THE CAKE is a project that transcends cake. This podcast aims to question historical legacies and myths connected to cake ingredients which are baked into the cakes themselves. Although the notion of cake can inspire memory, comfort, family, home, and also generosity, this podcast aims to offer deeper discussions around histories that are connected to colonialism, raciscm, and gender inequalities in relation to cake ingredients.
