Dominic's father left to pursue a music career when Dominic was nine years old however he never returned home. As a coping mechanism to his pain from his father's departure Dominic turned to alcohol and pornography.  He idolized rappers and tried to mimic the rap lifestyle.

Every 73 seconds, an American is Sexually Assaulted.

 Sexual Assault is not just a woman's issue. 

Men can offer support to the women in their lives that have suffered through a sexual assault.   

Men like Jeremiah Woods - @jeremiahbowtiewoods is doing his part to help survivors through his organization, The Hands Off  Foundation  Inc.

The Hands Off Foundation inc is committed to creating a community that will not stand for 28 million women being sexually assaulted each year. The Hands Off Foundation is a non-profit organization that is focused on providing women and children effected by sexual assault the resources they need. Specifically, we provide secure housing, access to therapeutic rejuvenation services and a team feel during the recovery process.

NaQuetta Nikia described her life as a military wife as “living in a house of horrors”  Cameras constantly watching her and not even being allowed to check the mail without having to endure mental, emotional and physical abuse.  

She escaped with only a bag full of clothes for herself and her 4 year old daughter.   

Her abuser remarried, unfortunately his new wife was unable escape. We send prayers and condolences to the family.

This morning, I sat down with Dr. Shawnrell Blackwell, PH.D from Avail Counseling and work through emotions dealing with loss and grief.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Like many of my followers and listeners I have lost some individuals close to me this year. ⠀⠀

However, loss is not only from death. We discussed  another loss that I have dealt with for the past several years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Tune in and join my "on air" therapy session. I learned that I was keeping myself “busy” instead of dealing with my grief.

Ashley Thompson  was sexually assaulted by a classmate in middle school. Her cries for help was not heard by school administration.

Between 2015 - 2017 Ashley lost several family members and became depressed and suffered from anxiety.
