Episode 6

In this episode, I officially endorse these NY Progressives running for Congress:

Shaniyat Chowdhury for NY-5
Melquiades Gagarin for NY-6
Lindsey Boylan for NY-10
Lauren Ashcraft for NY-12
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez for NY-14
Melanie D’Arrigo for NY-3
Samleys Lopez for NY-15
Jamaal Bowman for NY-16
Nate McMurray for NY-27

The final Super Tuesday round in the primaries is approaching, on June 2nd, where 500 delegates are up for grabs. If Joe Biden does extremely well, he may walk out of that night as the official Democratic Nominee, since he. Needs a little over 400 delegates to get there. Bernie Sanders has 1,007 delegates, so be sure to vote for him in the upcoming primaries. Make your voices heard!
In Minneapolis, a black man, George Floyd, was reported to police by a grocery store for “allegedly” writing a bad check. When police arrived to arrest him, their way of apprehending him was to press a knee on his neck. After pleading “I can’t breathe” several times, he stopped breathing. Those police officers murdered him. That’s what that was. A murder. In retaliation, riots broke out and protests broke out as well in the city and numerous areas.

America has been suffering from a virus for a long time. A psychological virus. Justice and what’s right has been ignored by those in power simply because it doesn’t profit them. This country has dark, conceptual forces running deep in every level of government, and until the people wake up and realize this, it’ll only continue and leave us in a loop of catastrophe and injustice. Fighting the bad of this country isn’t enough if we stop at just that. Fighting the bad and replacing it with what’s good would be more effective. So I applaud and admire civil rights activists, Black Lives Matter, and other activists and protestors for taking a stand, and I do hope they can continue (safely). Like Senator Bernie Sanders tweeted, “Real Criminal justice reform means not only that the DOJ (Department of Justice) investigate the tragic police killing in Minneapolis, but EVERY death that takes place in police custody.”

Episode 4

Episode 4

On this week’s episode, I touch base on and cover election results from the Democratic presidential primaries in Nebraska, to a congressional primary there, as well as two congressional special elections in California and Wisconsin.
Today’s episode will focus on a topic I have tried to not be too centered around, But I must speak on it in its current stage. That’s right, the Coronavirus, known as COVID-19.

The confirmed cases and deaths are only continuing to go up at a terrifying rate, as we, the United States of America, lead the world in cases.

I do list the case numbers nationwide, as well as New York’s numbers.

President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell have seemingly done everything they possibly could do to, if anything, hurt America even more. Inflicting such a deep wound due to the complicit behaviors and cheap political plays will be their legacy, and this episode tears into them, especially the shameful Mitch McConnell, for their actions and encouragements.

Episode 3

Episode 3

On today’s episode, I briefly touch base on state primaries that have passed, or are upcoming, or have been brought back on (hooray for New Yorkers!!!).

I also bring in COVID19 numbers, which continue to horrifically grow, but we can and are flattening the curve. It requires a unanimous effort however.

I also have watched the video relating to Ahmaud Arbery, which crunched my heart painfully and made me boil with rage. Visit
RunwithMaud.com and call 770.800.0689 to learn how you can get involved in making sure justice is handed to the white TERRORISTS behind this heinous execution.

Lastly, please do visit my friends Go Fund Me Page by googling “PPE for Frontline workers at JHMC”, a fundraiser that’ll directly send all donations to jamaica Hospital, the hospital in my neighborhood, to be able to purchase and provide protective equipment for the healthcare workers.

That is all in this weeks brief episode. Thank you for joining!

Stay safe everyone.

Introduction to Polititalk with Tanbir

Introduction to Polititalk with Tanbir

Good evening everybody, welcome to the first ever recording of Polititalk with Tanbir, a new podcast I hope to kick up and go somewhere with, thanks to the support of yours. Tonight, I will only be introducing myself, as well as what to expect from this podcast, so it’ll be as brief as possible.

I am “Polititalk with Tanbir”s host, Tanbir Chowdhury. I’m 18, but I’ve been politically knowledgable, aware and involved, for a little over 4 years now, beginning with the 2016 elections. I have a passion for politics. I believe you can truly help people if you’re in it, and that’s why I do hope to one day, be in the political arena, in whatever way that is.

This podcast will aim to not only keep you up to date with current events, focused around politics, but to also inspire you to get involved. I see myself as a progressive, being that my beliefs and vision aligns with policies that fall under that label. I am a huge supporter of Bernie Sanders. In fact, he’s the reason I got passionate about politics and when I turned 18, I made sure to register just to be able to vote for him, which I still will do come my states primaries. However, since he is out, the progressive movement took a huge hit, but I am hoping to remind everyone that it is not over. This movement is “Not Me. Us”. It isn’t Bernie Sanders. It isn’t me. It is you guys. It is the progressives running for House and Senate seats, state rep seats, state chairmen seats and more. It is our duty to support these progressives by amplifying them and their message, informing people about them, and if possible, donating to their campaigns.

This podcast’s Topics will include

•Pushing progressive candidates nationwide
•Press briefing summaries
•Rally coverages
•Campaign/candidate coverages
•Elections
•How to mobilize and organize
•Questions from viewers and listeners (I will always remind listeners that I am willing to answer any question to the best of my abilities in my next session)

I will TRY my best to make sessions once a week, consistently, preferably on Thursday’s at 7pm Eastern Time. If for whatever reason, I cannot, I will make that update on my platforms.

This is all for tonight. Thank you for tuning in, and I do hope you revisit. I do hope to hear from you as well. Feel free to always drop me questions on my twitter. Which is @ItsTanbirC (I-T-T-A-N-B-I-R-C).
